I tried this place when it first opened 2 years ago right before the pandemic hit and I wasn’t impressed. I tried it again this time and I really liked their food. I think the crepe can slightly be thinner, but I think they adapted their menu for American sweet tooth.Their chicken crepe and salad were very fresh and the flavor is very balanced, which taste very French.I would totally come back. Great combination of good location and food.
Delicious crepes!! I’ve tried the sweet and savory ones. The sweet ones are my favorite since I have a sweet tooth. If you add ice cream, then it’s even better. I’ve been here so many times with my friends even for my birthday. It’s located in the shopping area so take a nice stroll and stop on in to the cute cafe for a nice break and snack. If you want to take photos, there is an Instagramable grass wall and the tables outdoors and indoors are cute.Staff are super friendly and nice!
This place is VERY good. I had the La California and the wife had the Chicken carbonara crepe (I think). Mine was so good I almost got up and ordered another one. I think they use high quality ingredients, youll know what I mean when you taste it.Also, you dont sit down and order, you go up to the counter and order. Prices are very reasonable for the area and type of food that it is. Well definitely go back here
Ive walked by a few times when Ive been at La Cantera but only recently got to try their food. I met up with a friend I havent seen in a long while and thankful for the covered outdoor seating. She tried a savory crepe which was turkey, grapes and brie and it looked good. That was essentially lunch for her and she enjoyed it. I decided to go on the sweet side with Allisons Parfait. I was in the mood to have the granola. It was too big of a portion so I ended up taking half home. It was a good cure for my sweet tooth. Will have to bring my husband back and try more food items.
Crepes!! Loved them in Europe, street venders all over. State side you hardly see crepes. This is a glitzy place to sit chat with your friends, date night, etc Cafe crepes of all types breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert. Nice patio to enjoy the outside. Great staff.I didnt give 5 stars because the womens bathroom was lacking attention in a major way.
• FRENCH BREAKFAST•Folks. . . do you see the paper thin, rippled, precooked-zapped-in-a-microwave-, maybe .5oz a sliver bacon slice on this plate?Yes. . . this is what you get here. . . at $8 you’re basically paying a little over $2.75 for a mediocre egg cooked the way you want it, with a sprinkle of chives to make your eyes think it’s “fancy” & 4 paper thin pre-cooked paper thin accounts of bacon.Go to Chick-fil-a and get a hearty meal to fill your belly for $8.
Passing this place in La Cantera Mall and walked in to have a quick bite. I was surprisingly pleased to find out the food were great! Their best seller is Nutella crepe with Strawberry and banana! They sell more than 200 of this crepe per day!!!I really enjoyed this place bright and cute setting. Although I m not a fan of the metal chairs, I do love the cushioned benches and back walls.I ordered Chicken Florentine crepe. It is the best savory crepe I ever had in San Antonio. Waffle with strawberry and banana was OK. It is not a Belgium waffle so I m not complaining. I definitely come back to have the Nutella crepe next time.
A wonderful place to stop for a light lunch or a sweet treat when you find yourself hungry after shopping.I’ve seen this place many times when I’m out and about in La Cantera and I finally had the opportunity to stop by. I’ve always been a fan of crepes and I was not at all disappointed by Sweet Paris!Sophisticated and modern, their menu features your typical sweet crepes with fan-favourite combos such as cookies and cream and s’mores, but also boasts many types of savoury crepes that sound both innovative and delicious. (For example, I’ve seen many creperies do salad-type crepes, but Sweet Paris is the only place that I’ve seen with a chicken alfredo crepe!) If you’re not in the mood for crepes, they also carry waffles (with most of the same flavour combinations as the crepes), salads, paninis and more!My fiancée got the Philly Cheesteak crepe, which he enjoyed immensely, as well as a tiramisu milkshake (that I had to steal a sip of, and I had to force myself not to drink the whole thing since it was so good!)As for me, I got the Lemon & Sugar crepe which I found was the perfect balance of sweet and tangy, all while being very light! Their Iced Mayan Chocolate was also a delicious treat that helped me cool down from lots of shopping in the sun. Will definitely be back in the future for more! Next time I’ll be sure to try one of their savoury crepes!
Really great crepes for a fair price. The patio is cute and comfortable, with fun (French) music playing overhead. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. It was clean inside and out. Would love to return if we are ever back in S.A.
The service, food, and location are excellent. I was surprised that it was an order at the counter place. I was expecting something a little fancier, but it was still OK. They had a selection of different flavored lemonade and tea. I tried the la canadienne crepe and it was very good. Im excited to try some of their sweet crepes. They all look excellent. I enjoyed the French music playing.
Stephane and the staff at Sweet Paris La Cantera are amazing! They have such an amazing team, and product. If you are looking for a quality creperie this is the place to go. The atmosphere is exquisite and you feel as though you are in Paris in the Fall also! Their mimosas are crisp and cold, and you always have a great time there!
Such great food and service. One of the Gluten-free places I can always eat at!
Amazing creperie in La Cantera mall. The place has a sweet vibe, the staff are friendly and they play French music, very chill. Tables are not assigned, you will have to look for a table. The Belgian waffle with dulce de leche was delicious! Also for a savory side try the ham and gruyere cheese panini. Place is pricey.
First time at this place. Had some dessert crepes although they do have savory crepes as well. They have indoor and outdoor seating available. Order first then save seats please. Masks required while ordering or interacting with staff. We ordered a cappuccino and a green tea latte with our Tiramisu Crepe (seasonal offering) and Nutella Crepe with bananas and strawberries. Both were really good although the Tiramisu seem to be lacking a bit of the espresso/coffee flavor kick. Of course, this has to be non alcoholic so Im not taking points off for that. The Nutella crepe was very good and they did not scrimp on bananas and strawberries. Wait staff were courteous and quick. Prices reasonable. Washrooms clean. Tables are cleaned after each cystomer. BTW, They have a mimosa bar for those interested in having a brunch experience. Will definitely come back to this place.
I’ve been wanting to try this place for a while and finally visited for dessert. When I was finally able to visit, I got the dulce de leche crêpe with ice cream and a hot green tea latte. The crêpe was delicious! Filled with just the right amount of dulce de leche and with a consistency that was both fluffy and thin.My only gripe is that certain items were overly sweet. The latte was so sweet that I could hardly taste the matcha and the whipped cream was more like a merengue.I’ll visit again but I will get a drink that I can sweeten myself!
Just the right place for a nice chat with friends and family. The menu options are amazing.Great service and proactivity. The location in La Cantera was the right choice with a top set up and plenty of amenities.Want to come back soon.
The food is very good and the ambient is nice to hang out with friends. I just missed some nifes to eat my food, you should offer some to your clients. In the other hand the service was pretty good, congratulations.
Excellent crepes and other products like milkshakes made with great attention to detail and care. The dining area is a little small, but that might just be a symptom of how popular this location is and how overcrowded San Antonio is in general. Always have great food here, a little sugar fix to help get you through a day of shopping.
If you are looking for a place with great variety of choices to eat crepes on a perfect ambience with a great service, This is place! great recognized and recommended in the wider Houston city serving multiple locations. Glad to know I have a place to go when visiting San Antonio next time. Stephan who use to run the Sweet Paris in City Centre Houston is now here! What a pleasant surprise.
Do not order the Nordic which has only about 3 bites of the smoked salmon. Totally not worth the money. Very disappointed with the quality of the food. Gave two stars since the crepes are good.
1st time here.I ordered the Noric and a Passion Fruit Mimosa.IT WAS DELISH!The only thing that wasn’t impressive is having to wait in line to order before you sit down. The place is too small and so you have people standing over your shoulders waiting to order. No bueno!Get there early to avoid the crowdOther than that, I recommend this place.
I am neither a crêpe connoisseur nor a crêpe hater; however, the crêpes that I tried were satiating for my palate. Ive had crêpes before but most have either been too dry, too chewy, or just plain. The quality of the crêpe itself was perfect and better balanced with the choice of filling. Whether it was something savory or something sweet.
Paris is Always a Good Idea.Just stepping inside this place makes you feel happy- there are gorgeous cafe style tables and chairs set against crisp, white walls, lush greenery, and sparkling chandeliers. In spite of the stickiness of dessert crepes, the place is always clean, beautiful, and relaxing. Its a mini vacation and even when I walk in wearing sweats and whatever goo my toddler has wiped onto me, I feel like Im back in Europe just breathing in beauty and history and love. But this place its more than just a pretty face. Step up to the counter and be warmly greeted by a staff that goes out of their way to make your experience wonderful. I once was even offered a free coffee because I mentioned I hadnt slept much. The food is brought out quickly and is always perfectly prepared. You really could not ask for better service. And the food, oh the food. Even if this place looked like a dump it would be worth going for the food. Its hard to find well made crepes and they nail it. The wide selection from hearty to sweet, makes it the perfect place for breakfast, lunch, and that evening dessert. They arent a one trick pony either, and have soups, salads, waffles, etc. But honestly, eat the crepes. You cant go wrong with the Carbonara or Lemon crepe (two of my favorites). The coffee and rich hot chocolate options also make it a way better option than your local Starbucks. Hell, Im tempted to camp out here to grade papers and write. More importantly, my toddler loves it here and will definitely munch on my crepes (if you have a picky eater, though, they have a decent kids menu). And even if this place feels just a tad bit fancy for kids, its relaxed enough that they can practice their dining skills without causing a fuss. What can I say... this is a place to fall in love with. After all, who doesnt want to be in Paris?
San Antonio and specially La Cantera needed a place like this and it’s great! The missing star is for the waiting time to order and your order get on the table in front of you. But everything else is great! The decorations, the taste, the options on the menu, etc. Also, it seems the preparations takes time since they are training some of the staff! I saw the staff had to throwing away some crepes since they didn’t make it right!
If you are looking for a decent cafe experience, then go somewhere else. We ordered latte and dulce de leche waffle. Latte was just subpar with minuscule hint of coffee (basically milk). Waffle was very dry (maybe not fresh) drizzled with sugary syrup (that’s not dulce de leche).
Had The Feast crepe and it was delicious. Sorry, no pictures...too busy eating. 👍🏻
This place is really good good customer service will come back with the rest of my family
I can’t believe I haven’t written a review on here yet… I’ve been to Sweet Paris about 30 times now in total, without ever having a negative experience. Yes, there were a couple times where they were understaffed and the wait times were very long due to it being busy, but that can and does happen everywhere. The quality of the crepes, regardless of your choice of sweet or savory are amazing. I love the chicken florentine crepe and also the apple one as well. They offer gluten free crepe mix which tastes amazing and has a great texture. The drinks are equally as impressive here, including the cappuccino and chai latte. The staff are also great and the decor is as well. I can’t say enough good things about Sweet Paris, this is a must try place!
We had the Bonne Maman and the crepes dont have much depth in flavor to them. While they are delicious and moreso lean towards dessert foods, theyre a bit too sweet and it takes away from the tartness of the fruit. Cafe setting is nice but feels simple. Other than that, a very unique location in the area and at least something I advise trying once!
Absolutely loved it here! We went during brunch and it was a bit busy. All in all our experience was awesome! Despite the businesses we only waited about 10 minutes for our food. I got the Nutella waffle with banana and strawberries and it was TO DIE FOR! Crispy on the outside, perfectly cooked on the inside! We will definitely be coming back when its not as busy.
Everything is good but I left 1 star off for the reason that Ive tasted better crepes in Belgium. In case you visit Belgium its in La Plaze in Opera Resto
CANNOT go wrong here. Coffee? Excellent. Crepes? Divine.Great place to go by yourself or with people you care about. They have a great atmosphere to eat something good and drink a coffee while youre working on those emails.
It’s such a beautiful place but it lacks customer service. If they had actual servers it would probably worth every cent but getting up and grabbing everything by yourself is tedious, considering that if it’s your first time you would probably don’t know any of this and already tipped them. Like it happened to me 🤦🏻♂️Food is good, nothing out of the ordinary. Love the place and the wall 🤩One of my orders took OVER an HOUR and it was only ONE crepe, I’m sure it got lost somewhere because the rest I had didn’t take that long. What got me upset is that I went to ask for it twice and still took foreverGiving 1 star for very poor customer service, again - food was ok. Would go back but wouldn’t tip. Not worth it.
So good! I recommend the Nutella hot chocolate and lemon crepe.
The food and drinks were really good. I highly recommend the Alaskan. Great smoked salmon flavor. The service was pretty good despite the miscommunication I encountered. Overall a good eat👍
Always a great experience here at Sweet Paris! Mayan hot chocolate was phenomenal 😋 chicken carbonara with avocado was so delicious. Thank you Emily and Stephen for your amazing service! Brought my team from work and we will most definitely return later this week!
Love the Neuvo Breakfast with That Avocado Toast and An Americano!! So Good!! A Little Hearty Breakfast I could Eat Everyday
I had the croquet madam fro brunch today with the St Tropez drink which is lavender and strawberry mimosa. Then I tried the Nutella crepes with fruit for dessert. Loved everything I ordered. Beautiful space, very Instagramable.
First time here and we are so impressed! I brought my family (7 of us) plus one of my daughters 4 friends as part of her birthday celebration. She loves all things Paris and wanted a fancy kind of meal. We are here on a busy Saturday and yet we didnt wait too long in line or didnt wait long for our food! There was something for everyones sweet or savory tooth. Its a must have if youre around this area. Great customer service and delicious food!!!!
Very very good food, wasn’t expecting it to be as amazing but it was definitely worth it . So glad I was able to try this place finally, I would definitely recommend it . I also can not have any type of dairy or gluten and they were more then happy to help make sure I didn’t have any in my food still amazing even though I had the gluten free option crepes, very good service! Also very clean in this restaurant Definitely want to go back to try the breakfast crepes .
Fantastic gluten free crepes!! The staff changes gloves and cleans the crepe press before pouring the gluten free batter. I loved the Alamo crepe!! 10/10 recommend!!
Excellent service and food consistently. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Almost every crepe is a must have. The only bad part is having to choose what to get!
My wife is a huge fan of crepes and she absolutely loved it! The Lemon Sugar crepe was perfect.
Place is too noisy probably due to echoing.. Waffles were cold and latte was way too light … overall not so good experience…
OMG excellent! Ate a nutella waffle with strawberries - yummy! Great big waffle. Coffee was just right, an Italian roast. The cashier/waiter had a big smile and happy attitude. He made the experience so good.
Great taste, not very expensive and very quick.I love that place.
Being a typical guy, I didnt think I would like a crepe, my wife thought she would love them.....so obviously I ended up going. I ordered the chicken florentine and my wife ordered the chicken enchilada sandwich. Our personal favorite is the enchilada sandwich, they were both great, its just we happdned to like the chicken enchilada the best. Now that my eyes have been opened, I might even try one of those fancy rolled up pancake and fruit crepes! The food is great here and for about $2-$3 more than McDs you get real food that tastes a world apart. I also like they give military discounts to our service members. I will support businesses that support our troops.
Been here multiple times, the savory and sweet crepes are soooo good! My friends and I LOVE coming here 💕
Omg. They were huge and delicious. Will be going back.
This place is amazing. I love that the food is always prepared to order, portions are generous and service is friendly
The food was okay, they forgot part of our order.. they iced coffee was not good at all. The tables are all dirty and no one is cleaning them we had to ask about 3 times for our table to be cleaned. They done even give you silverware you have to get up to get your own silverware, drinks, etc I will not be going back
Love food and service. Bunch of options to choose for. Will go back
