I came here frequently over the last year. I have purchased a good many DVDs and other items from them in that timeframe.I brought in some DVDs I no longer felt the need to watch, one of them being something I paid 6-7 bucks for from them about 2 months ago or so.I brought in at least 15-20 or so DVDs. They offered me 3 bucks for everything...... And almost every one of these is something I had purchased from this movie trading company or the one off 75 that is no longer open. Looks like I wont be shopping here anymore.

They got very cool stuff! They have new and used stuff, and I guarantee that they do a very great service! If I have to be honest, this store is 100 times better than GameStop.

Best location Ive found yet! Amazingly huge selection of videos, games, toys, and more. The staff members were incredibly helpful, friendly, and quick to provide assistance. The store was big and clean and very well-stocked. There seemed to be a good number of regular customers coming and going, which is always a good sign. I highly recommend this location and will happily come back again and again!

Always friendly faces and great selection to choice from. Always new updates whenever they have deal and specials going on.

I pop in every now and again looking for Blu rays. They have some video games and such too. Maybe not the best pricing but, it is sometimes nice to go get a thing same day.

I adore this store. The workers know me and my fiancé, and are VERY sweet and immensely helpful. I recommend this store to my friends all the time.

Laid back atmosphere and very knowledgeable employees. They have some old school consoles and games, but kind of limited on the game selection, but overall a good place to go.

Its a great place to browse the aisles and look for that rare movie or a vinyl, or just some anime, you had to have for your collection.Nice, clean interior. Lots of room, great inventory.Staff seems to be respectful. Go visit. 👍

They have a large selection of video games, consoles, and movies. They give you a reasonable price for video games and/or movies that you sell.

Always a fun walk through each location. Never know what they will have in store. The staff could be more pleasant and inviting towards customers though.

The store wasnt crowded and had good selection. So good in fact that I went to get a few games and they were all sold out. And the staff were nice and helpful too. I suggest this place to any retro video game fans.

Years ago, this place used to be the spot to go when I wanted to browse and buy some of my favorite things. However, as of recent I have been coming here occasionally and things have changed. It seems the management has been switched. Fake merchandise such as anime and games are being sold for high prices. I saw a fake dvd being sold for 20+ dollars, which isnt right for buyers who are unaware. The card selection is barely there. Sales are not being acknowledged. Its been very disappointing how things are now.

I really love this place. You can buy New, and Used CDS, DVDS, MOVIES, ETC. I just sold some DVDS, MOVIES, and got $39.18 in cash for them.

If you need games they have a wide variety and great anime posters mostly main stream anime cowboy beebop, dbz, bleach, one punch i think i bought the last Gurren laggan poster 😄

This store is selling fake games. one of the workers openly admitted to selling fake pokemon games for real game prices ($50+) without listing that its faked. he was so relaxed while admitting to it. the heartgold copy at this location is fake and if you ask theyll admit to selling a fake game for $75. theyre willing to charge high prices for fake games without labelling it anywhere on the price tag or packaging. i cant believe theyre okay with scamming customers like that.

They have nice things here ok

The staff know what theyre doing, and the inventory can be great sometimes, but their high prices ($40 for an amiibo), their lack of care when it comes to cleaning some games (nearly every Nintendo DS game I bought from them didnt work), and their openly selling of fake items (staff confirmed their $75 copy of Pokemon HeartGold is fake but theyre still selling it, and various fake Pokemon GX cards) assures Im never shopping there again.

Except they quit selling popcorn. Darn it.

I love the movie trading company! These guys are always willing to search for the titles youre looking for and will find a way to get you the movie you want. I had them order a movie from Oklahoma once and shipping was free direct to my home. In the store you can find new and old movies in great condition. There is also a fun assortment of toys and novelty items for sale as will. I come here for almost all of my movie and video game needs and will continue to do so for a long time.

We love Movie Trading Company. Ive been a customer of movie trading company for many many years. They have some really good deals and their prices cannot be beat especially when youre trading something in. Ive been able to obtain quite a few games and movies without actually spending any money. The staff is wonderful. I generally frequent the Greenville Avenue location myself since it is so much larger.

Always a fun place to visit and browse for nostalgia, however it can be frustrating trying to find something specific.

Ive visited this location several times over the past couple of years and each time I leave feeling like I shouldnt have bothered. The selection of product is totally fine and the store is clean and well stocked, but its the employees that are the problem. Im sure its not all of them, but each time I go to check out the gaggle of employees that always hang out behind the counter give snide comments and act like Im a bother to them. Id understand if maybe I was pestering them with questions or asking to see each and every item behind the counter, but I only go on, find what I want, and check out. I also work in retail so I understand some people have bad days, but this is at least five or six consecutive visits where I leave the store feeling looked down upon and ridiculed for no reason. Its unfortunate, since Id love to continue to shop there, but its just not worth the interactions at checkout.

Good selection of movies, music, and games. Selling is easy for a quick buck but way less than you could reasonably get selling on your own (not that this is unreasonable, space and time to sell costs them money and they gotta profit if they ever even sell your ten copies of Pluto Nash). Itd be nice if they could get comics like the other locations, and if they had more LPs in stock.

The layout was great, easy to find everything I was looking for. The manager Alyssa gave awesome recommendations on holiday gifts too, definitely an awesome experience that will have me coming back again in the future.

Movie Trading Co. is the place to be if you like movies, cards, videotapes, posters, music, you name it! Someone took the best parts of popular stores and threw them all together, its like walking in to an old records shop, or a Blockbuster, or comic store, or a gamestop. The staff is always super nice and will actually carry a conversation with you, its a nice place to just walk around and browse, my favorite area is in the back by the Funko Pops and poster boxes, they have a whole aisle thats just memorabilia and board games and figurines and its just a wonderful place thats super affordable, if youre looking for a movie you havent seen in ages they most likely have it, and if they dont Im pretty sure you can ask to reserve the copy that does come in but take a grain of salt with that as Ive never tried, nor had to for that matter, but if youre in Garland and need to smell some Roses, stop here and walk in the smell of nostalgia and wonder.

MTC is a fun place and its always easy to get help from their very friendly and engaging staff. Their prices are too high in many cases for used videos. I know what they pay for these used videos and they could lower the prices a lot and still make a nice profit. You can go to some retail outlets and buy videos that are brand new for 1/2 the price. But the used movies Ive purchased from them are always in like-new condition and play perfectly. They carry new items too and have some other fun stuff and candy too. The store is organized well. Ive been disappointed however, on their limited selection in certain genres. Considering they are mostly dependant on what people sell them, I suppose that should not be surprising. Anyway, I still remain a satisfied customer overall.

Great place to pick up so cheap stuff. Also the workers are super nice. They helped out my daughter when she had a breakdown and didnt get the figure she wanted in a blind bag. They open the box and gave her the figure that was part of the display, the one she hoped for. Awesome customer service.

I love this place. Im old school...i like the days of Sam Goody...and Camelot Records. I like to go in and browse. I only but rap cds....but they got movies games and stuff you gotta go to Amazon to get. Its a great place to browse.

Staff are very helpful. Each time we have gone in the staff go out of there way to help in any way possible. We travel 12 miles to go here instead of other gently used movie and game stores. Found copies of classic hes, hardware and wiring for older consoles. Cant beat the price or the service.

Very interesting., comic store look. If a blockbuster and a pawn shop had a baby this is what it would look like. But overall very cool place of you are into retro style or retro all together.

Found some great vinyl. 3 of them were 99 cents each and in good condition. Video collection is top notch as well.

I love when i’m thinking of a childhood movie or video game and i know that if i go here, i know that there is a 100% chance that i will find it. i’ve found some of my most favorite movies, and the amount of things they have there like toys and collectibles and posters, are just, ugh, i love them i so much, not to mention their always stocked up in Peace Tea ☮️

This location is fairly small but with a great selection. We can find what were looking for about 4 out of 5 times. Staff is friendly, helpful, and can always order something if they dont have the movie in stock.

I absolutely love movie trading company. if youre looking for something that you generally cant find anywhere else or that is a specialty item this is a good place to start before you go to the overpriced privately owned stores. I generally spend my money with movie trading Company when Im looking for any kind of used movies games or accessories and after going to the firewheel location I think itll probably be worth the drive for me to go here for the continued good service the employees gave. They were super helpful and knowledgeable and funny and fun to talk to. I would definitely recommend this place to anybody but I know that is looking for a movie that is new or used a game system that is new or used or any kind of games or accessories that are new or used. From Atari to Xbox they got it!!!

I love to dig through the assortment of albums and movies here. Posters as well of course! And the little box of plastic Pokemon is great, however overpriced. A lot of the plushies and things that they carry are much cheaper elsewhere, but when you quickly need to find a good present its nice to have a place to physically go and buy one.

This place is really cool. There’s an awesome selection of old school games and older movies that you don’t really see anywhere else anymore and a huge selection of anime, tv shows, records, cds, etc etc. HOWEVER, the prices are pretty high on certain things. You can get a lot of the games there at GameStop for half the price. I even bought a 24” plush at GameStop for $40 and MTC was selling a 5” one for $35... Not to mention, I bought a season of a show here for $30 and when I tried to sell it back once I finished, they wanted to give me less than a dollar for it which is pretty ridiculous. On the other hand, the staff is incredibly nice and the store definitely is worth checking out if you like movies and you have the time.

Great prices on most things, large selection of everything from music to gaming, staff is polite and offer to help regularly if you need anything. I come here often for my gaming and music needs as they tend to have better prices than alternative sources.

Nice clean store with friendly knowledgeable staff you could tell they liked their work. Lots of inventory from movies to games to lps. They even have the old Atari games truly a blast from the past.

They have some really nice stuff at pretty good prices. The problem is if you are selling items to them they definitely rip you off if you want cash instead of in-store credit.
