I did a walk up this past Friday with my new phone and accessories that was just delivered to my home by FedEx. I had not even opened the box. I was greeted professionally and cordially at the door. All my info was collected and asked to wait at a desk and that there was 1 person in front of me. All there were wearing masks. A tech person was there in 5-10 minutes. His name is Tracy. We were separated by a shield and both wore masks. I want go into all the details but I was blown away by how thorough and helpful he was. He answered all my questions and took care of my phone needs while also discussing our fitness hobbies. In about 15 minutes, I walked out happy and excited with the great service and my new phone. This is why my family has been Verizon customers for 22 years.

I went to the store and had to replace my phone on the same day. My other phone was completely black and nothing showed on the screen. I proceeded to upgrade to a brand new phone. I paid my fees and was told I could do everything else from home. (Curiously... how could I do that if I cant even see the screen???) I came home and after a hour of trying to even get it started. I called Verizon tech... turns out the representative forgot to even give me a new Sim card...THANKS PAL!! After ANOTHER hour of working with tech... I found out the ONLY way to retrieve my old information from the broken phone was to AGAIN go to the store and have them to do it...since my screen was broken. Dud I mention I asked the representative the very sane thing while I was in the store??? Had that representative taken the time to be a customer service representative...their J O B...maybe they would have figured out it wasnt something I could do at home AND that I needed a sim card.

Not all of my experiences were positive.WAYNE provided exceptional service today, with a sense of humor and a friendly, warm demeanor.Even though I showed up frustrated because I had received the wrong phone via FedEx, Wayne made it right AND made the experience pleasant and efficient.Thanks, Wayne!Verizon, give this man a raise. I went into the Gastonia Verizon store today to purchase a phone. The customer service I received from the rep (Joey: Older Man) was less than pleasant. He was not listening and kept asking me the same question over and over again about my preference of a phone. Instead of him working with me to decide on a phone, he did everything he could to avoid working with me when he realized, I was not interested in a plan change. Once I responded regarding to keep my plan the same, he became disengaged. He kept saying I like to be honest when in reality he was avoiding a sale because he knew it would not benefit him at all. Poor customer service! Ive been a Verizon customer for over 13 years. I will not be returning back to this location (I would rather drive to charlotte) and if for some reason I have to, I will be sure to work with a different representive. He has poor customer service skills and maybe needs to work in the back stocking phones and wireless accessories.

I’ve been doing business with Verizon for a long time. I’ve always had a good experience in the Gastonia location but I have to say, Jordan, he is such a delight to work with. He has helped me and my entire family get phones and plans that work best for our family. He never makes you feel like you have to get anything extra but he also makes sure you know of all the deals going on. He gets to the point and understands everything you throw his way. In a time where people are not acting good all the time, he is a breath of fresh air and the Verizon needs more of him. Thank you also for his services.

Verizon has the absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced! You stay on hold for hours and nobody is helpful whatsoever! They are consistently messing up your bill and nobody listens to you. I never received any merchandise and have filed a complaint with it’s the BBB! It’s horrible to waste days on end trying to get help with Verizon. They transferred me 20 times!! They have stolen my money and won’t give it back! They also are going to ruin my credit for the item I never got in the mail because I rerouted it back to Verizon! I changed my mind and I have that right! I think I may even sue Verizon!

Its impossible to reach anyone by phone. You have to have an appointment to get in. My mom doesnt have internet, so I had to schedule an appointment as if it were for myself just to get her in to get a new phone. Once in, the employees are super nice. Verizon has to understand that not everyone has WiFi or internet access to be able to schedule an appointment.

Very unprofessional! I went to this store an hour before closing, and the manager put my name on the list to get a new phone. She told me I would have to wait an hour or two hours to be helped. I had no issue with that. Moreover, she took my number and said I would receive a text to let me know when I would be next. I asked the manager if it would be ok if I left and went to the near by stores. She said that would be ok as long as I stayed in the area. I did that and I never received a text or call to say I was next. It was after 6 so I went back to the store to see what was going on, and the manager told me I would have to come back because the system was down. I asked her how come I didn’t receive a text and she proceeded to say it’s automated and she didn’t know why I never received a text. As much money as I spend a month with Verizon she could have had better customer service. Along with this, she had a very nonchalant attitude. I will report this to cooperate as well. Don’t tell me one thing and under deliver on what you promised. If you’re in the Gastonia area, just take the drive to Charlotte so you can receive professional assistance with any issues concerning Verizon. The general manager needs a course on communication with customers as well as professional development. With these tools under her belt, the store may have better reviews. Unacceptable!

I am not from the area and was trying my best to assist my mother in law with necessary account changes after her husbands recent passing. She tried to set everything up through customer service first because venturing into public spaces is very uncomfortable for her. The notes customer service made regarding her needs were meager at best. But when we walked in we met Kyle. From the beginning he seemed to sense we would need extra care and patience and he provided just that. He suggested easier ways to accomplish our goals, and was kind and thoughtful in explaining each step. He was polite, caring, and understanding without being demeaning or judgemental. Kyle is truly an asset to this store and I am grateful for his assistance. From the depths of my heart. Thank you for making this part of her transition easier. What a great experience during a tough time.

From day one I bought phone I been having problems. One thing I asked before i agreed was my main concern which was due date. I was charged for due date change which I learned wasnt current as I was told. I barely had this phone that long not even 2 months and i had to pay twice this month and was told all I had to do was ask for due date change which I did. I was told everything will be back on track but, now I have to wait another month because a mistake was made yet again. I didnt get my due date change back to original. So yet again now because an error on the agents end I have to pay 2 times again next month because of their mistake. Also when I am on chat trying to fix this situation it is frustrating when it disconnects halfway through chat and I keep getting run-around. I know yall keep notes and every documented.** update **thank yall for finally resolving issue. Hope yall train and educate staff better in future so no one has to go through with what I went through.

I have been with Verizon a LONG time and recently I tried to upgrade my phone, lets say Verizon will take every dime you have. They tried to have me pay my bill twice, I had to pull up my bank account to show proof that my bill was paid for them to give me a phone. I ended my account immediately and went to T MOBILE. I was treated way better and did or have no issues.

Do not go to this store! Their customer service is horrible! We are new Verizon customers. When we bought our phones at the store by us in Jacksonville, FL we were told that my two sons, who are college students, could take theirs to the closest Verizon and the employees would be more than happy to port everything over. Plus they could also turn their old phones in. So we had them shipped. My eldest took his to the closet store in Atlanta GA and everything went just fine, including the turn in of his old phone.Unfortunately, that wasnt the case for my son who went to this store in Gastonia. The employees told him they wouldnt do anything for him. My husband called and talked to the store manager and even advised that he talked to Verizon customer service directly and they confirmed that the store would be able to help port everything over and even turn his old phone in too. The store manager still refused to do anything. So my son ended up sitting in his car for over an hour, while talking to customer service directly to get everything switched over. Very Disappointed! So much in fact that we have submitted an official complaint with Verizon.

Went in today to transfer information from my old phone and activate my new one. I was helped out by Ethan and would suggest him to everyone he was super helpful and friendly. Not only did I get the services I desired I also walked out of there with a lower monthly bill with additional services like HUM for our cars. Being Ive been with Verizon for years he saw I was up for additional discounts including an increased employee discount. Ethan is awesome please go see him.

Background: Lifetime AT&T customer switching to Verizon because a) I was tired of random hidden fees and sub-par customer service (in person and over the phone) and b) my wife and I wanted Pixel 3s, which AT&T doesnt carry.I called ahead of time and got an appointment with Joey, who, despite the Verizon store being packed with customers and my wife and I being 15 min late because we were bringing our newborn with us, met us at the door and promptly seated us. He was prepared with all pricing information and was upfront with how costs would be broken down, and what we could expect to see up to our 3rd bill. He was professional, and patient and helped to make the transition process to Verizon a breeze.If this is any indication of what service with Verizon is like, I think my wife and I will be very happy as Verizon customers. Best wireless buying experience Ive ever had!

This evening my husband visited this location because he needed to change his phone chip. As soon as he came in they grabbed his information and told him he needed to wait for a bilingual sales representative. The bilingual sales representative by the name of Jason was helping a couple as soon as he finished and the couple left Jason grabbed his personal phone. When Jason decided to come to help my husband he doesn’t even acknowledge him or says hi how can I help you he asked my husband what do you want. My husband explained the situation and Jason took the phone changed the chip and then left it in the counter and went back to playing in his personal phone. My husband sees this and gets angry and tells him when the phone is done uploading. Waiting for a response from Jason like thank you for coming what else can I help you he gets nothing. My husband lets him know he is going to report him with a supervisor and Jason tells my husband he doesn’t care. We are first time customers with Verizon and to be honest it’s been the worse customer service we have received. I am very disappointed!!

Man, I do not recommend trying to call the Gastonia NC location...I am currently with Sprint wanting to change carriers. I had some questions for Verizon. I have tried to call the Verizon store 5 times this morning. The first time it sounded like some pot head answered the phone, he asked someone my question, I didnt get an answer, then he said he didnt work there and asked me to call back, when I asked if he could just put someone on who works there then he just disconnected me. I called back 3 more times with No answer. The 5th time it sounded like someone was forced to answer the phone said Noooo! Then disconnected me again. Is this the kind of service I can expect from Verizon. 5 years I have never had an experience like this with Sprint. . Maybe you get what you pay for. Thinking of staying put with Sprint now. You really have to be careful with the store you choose to help you. This store has very knowledgeable employees. The store I speak about is in Gastonia at Franklin Square. I mistakenly went to the store in Hickory on 127. I took my new phone and my old phone to get the Sim card transferred, and to transfer my contacts over to my new phone. The person who attempted to help me with my problem was Jordan. He didnt appear to have any knowledge of my phone. First of all he dropped my new phone on the uncarpeted floor. Next he tried to apologise for dropping the phone by putting a screen protector on it. Well he put on the wrong protector, the bottom part covered my fingerprint scanner. I sat there for 45 minutes waiting for my info to transfer to the new phone. Nothing transferred. Jordan said that it would come through eventually 😂. After I left the store I called my husband and he couldnt hear me. When Jordan dropped my phone, he broke my speaker on my new phone. The Gastonia store had to send me another phone. When the new phone came again, I took it to Gastonia and Tracy, a very knowledgeable employee was able to fix my phone. He was even able to get my info from the cloud and transfer it to my new phone. I will never again visit the store on 127 in Hickory.

If I could give this store a 0 I would. When I took my brother in there to get a new phone, they were transferring stuff out of his old phone into the new one when I saw a female sales associate walking around showing a picture laughing, the picture happened to be one of my brother when he was little. I saw this and was infuriated so I spoke to the manager. I got a call and they told me they had found the picture on her phone and she said she was telling everyone how cute it was. Either way, why did she feel the need to take a picture (a clear violation of privacy) and show other people, she had taken a picture of it on her own phone. Once it was reported they told me HR would handle it, but couldnt tell me what was going to be done. Went in there recently and guess who is still there. To me a company that you fork over hundreds to should be able to ensure the staff at least has the decency to respect the customers privacy. This clearly wasnt taken very seriously. I will not go back into this store for help.

Make sure you see on paper what is being promised because they wont always follow through with the promotions... They will say what they can to get you to sign over to Verizon, so make sure you see in writing the promotions theyre combining. It seems theyll leave out the fact that certain ones dont combine with others and are negated. We were promised a phone trade in value which we used in the store, plus a new-to-verizon master card which we were told we would receive via mail. We used the in-store promo the time of and never received anything in the mail we were going to apply to our next bill. We reached out later and were told it was going to be sent; now were told we cant have it... The guy in the store was an experienced employee, so he knew exactly what he was telling us was false... Make sure you see everything final in writing before signing over!!

I offered to leave all my merchandise and keys with the store manager and asked if an associate could stand by the door. Its a hit and miss store. I have been in there when its empty and take forever to get service. At the same time I have been in there when it was packed and they got to me real fast. Just a warning though, if you go there look for the people that have been there. If you get a new person make sure you check over everything.
