The selection of items at Shoppers is better than Giant or Harris Teeter.But Shoppers is more expensive than Giant.Shoppers has good customer service workers who are very helpful.They help people with physical problems by getting a scooter for shopping at customer service desk. They also will load groceries in the car or van if requested.The ice cream selection is better than Giant. People like the large beer and wine section.Overall this store is very clean. Location is good with many other shops and restaurants next to it.Only problem is sometimes crimes take place here and the police arrive.

This is an outstanding, huge, and very well laid out grocery store unlike any other in the area, I wish they would carry Chappelle Hill Sausage, and Blue Bell Ice Cream from Texas. Also I wish they carried either or both Monterrey and Hungry Man Mexican TV Dinners since authentic Tex-Mex is at a pathetic low in the entire area. Yes, there is a smattering of Mexican restaurants in the area run by Guatemalans, Hondurans, and El Salvadorans. Not even close. I can tell you that those two brands of TV dinners are closer to authentic Tex-Mex than the best restaurant in the entire area.

Good hours and they sell beer and wine. Very spacious and clean but too pricey. No wonder theyre all closing down. Dont go here for produce either. It never seems to be fresh.

This is a large grocery store with a good selection of products. This is one of the few grocery stores in Maryland that has beer and wine. The beer and wine section is large and rivals that of most beer and wine stores. There is a walk in beer cooler section which is very nice on hot days. This shoppers has a lot of selection of produce as well as grocery goods.

I remember going to store back in 1997 when I was a baby. Although I don’t shop here that much anymore, but I still come to visit. I noticed that this is the only Shoppers store left in Montgomery County.

Staff needs to do a better job with the restrooms.

Huge store, very well organized and set up. Aisles are plenty wide. Went here to get Quaker Oats on sale 2/$6 for the large canisters. Also got LandOLakes butter, not on sale but was out of spreadable butter. Not my usual grocery store but sometimes have great sales. Was already at this shopping center to get planters at Dollar Tree, so was a simple matter to go to Shoppers as well.

The service in this store is very good and the availability is also open until midnight and you can always find everything you need at a reasonable price and if you want to refresh yourself with a few beers or a good wine you can also find it at a very good price if you consider the prices around this area...

The Employees are beyond courteous and accommodating and their Whole store is kept eat off the floor Clean Exceptionally Clean All opening and closing hours! In these times we my wife and I seniors compromised have NO fears about shopping at this Shoppers Food Store!!!

We got a good deal on their fried Chicken we bought so much fried Chicken it was like the lie of not cooking and nobody knows it wasnt made at myhome

Abigail was an excellent help when the self checkout wasnt correct. She re-rang everything and never acted like it was a problem at all.Also the man behind the deli counter was very kind and patient. Love going to Shoppers for a chance of pace for food shopping. They have a selection that you wont find at Harris Teeter or Giant... and they carry my wifes favorite brand of wine, so I can save a trip to the liquor store! :)

I like the store. Similar concept with another store I have seen before. Get groceries at affordable prices.

So i went here to get fruits and vegetables to meal prep for the week and lets just say i walked out empty handed. This place was horrible. EVERYTHING looked picked over and one day from being on clearance. I literally could not believe they would serve these things. I have typically came here for wine because its much cheaper than the beer and wine or liquor stores. I wont put my food in their hands.

Food it’s ok and place it’s Clean, but it’s so expensive, When I go to Giant I spend 1/2 less of the same amount of food, it’s way to much, I spend 890.00 last month I was up there, when at Giant I spend 420.00 this month for the same things shoppers has gotten ridiculously expensive. And no discounts. No more Shoppers for md ever.

Lets be real here. The cashiers are slow the management are rude. The only person of positive note is Angie. She is the nicest most accommodating employee and if shes not management she should be.

Ive never liked shopping at Shoppers. I was pleasantly surprised by this one. Great selection, clean, and its one of the few grocery stores in the area to sell alcohol.

Had a horrible experience tonight with the cashier LUZ. Made us feel really bad. Wanted to make our payment process so much complicated. We wanted to pay with two payment methods as we usually do or been doing for years. She wanted as to separate our groceries into 2 because it was easier for her. Was talking rude to us too.

The people who work there always helpful. They have brands of ice cream I cant find elsewhere. Store always clean. Plenty of parking.

They have a great selection, but make sure to check expiration dates. We have gotten bread that was moldy by the next day before! They can also be a bit more expensive than other grocery stores.

This used to be our main grocery store to shop at when we lived in the Gaithersburg/Germantown area. My family and I had been going there since I was in diapers. Overall, prices are pretty reasonable for most things, especially for that area. I highly recommend shopping there over Safeway or Giant.

Even since the pandemic this Shoppers location has allways been well stocked. The people that work here are allways super friendly and helpful and they have a decent beer and wine selection!

I love this place but recently it has gone downhill. The cashiers are snarky and the store isn’t as clean. Also, I went today and they told me my $20 bill was a fake even though I just took it out of the atm. I think management changed and that’s why it’s not as great as it used to be.

Always feel safe here and always plenty of parking.

I have been going here for years, and the best part is the employees. They have always been wonderful. The reason I give it 3 stars is sometimes they keep expired food on the shelves, so you have to be vigilant with the sell by dates. Their prepared foods could also use more variety and creativity; not a whole lot of choices there.

The shopper’s staff are very attentive, accommodating and get things done related to customer service. They assist people with physical disabilities and limitations by getting a scooter for shopping at customer service desk, as well as loading groceries in the vehicle if requested. The store is very organized & clean in All Departments. Some of the cashiers are slow and some handle transaction in a expedient manner. Unfortunately, some individuals victimize the store and employees by doing criminal actions unwarranted which Viewed on the news!! The store manager told me it happens regularly at that location with having to deal with criminals and Police! Thankfully I have not been there when it has happened.

I was unhappy when you guys raised beer prices by $1 or more per 6 pack a couple of years ago. Now you are making your cashiers card everyone for beer and wine. Ive been a customer for 20 years and spent $60,000 - $80,000 at this store. Ive spoken to the manager and I will NOT go back as long as they demand to see my ID. Im over 60 years old for crying out loud. There are other places in the area to buy groceries and beer / wine. GOOD BY SHOPPERS!

I was visiting Germantown, MD for 8 months, Shoppers was the most cost efficient Supermarket.

Always can find what i need at a great price.

The cashier was new and being trained but nobody was near him to help when there was a problem. Also, there was no sign to say that he was a cashier and training. Therefore the transactions took double the amount of time it should have.

The service was horrible. the cashier didnt know what she was doing, gave service to customers who came after me while I was waiting in line. When I complained to the manager of the store, he just smiled expressing complete disrespect and went away without even trying to resolve the situation. He definitely didnt care. Dont think that people like these can work in customer service. extremely disappointed.

Went to get crabs for dinner. Called beforehand and was told the seafood dept choose at 8...got there at 7 and was told they were closing wouldnt serve me. The attendant was very dismissive as age walked away. The cashier made up for the experience..she was pleasant and the only reason why this rating got stars.

Great selection of produce and and a wide variety products from Latin America! They even sell Topo Chico water which is rare up here. Staff very friendly and helpful. Giving this review 4 stars because in self check out they took the plastic bags away b/c people were not paying for them but did not put a sign up or made no announcements I spent 5 mins searching before bags before I asked for help from Customer Service . So either bring your own bags or ask customer service for bags when going through self check out.

Am I the only person who has noticed that the aisle signs throughout Shoppers Food Warehouse in Germantown are not accurate? For example, the aisle 4 sign states canned seafood, but the canned seafood is in aisle 5.
