Amazing to work with! We came to Gilbert from out of town and had an emergency. Dr. Woolf’s staff took immediate care of us. They were exceptionally kind, helpful, and professional. I would highly recommend this office to anyone wanting quality eye care.

My Family has been seeing, or having him help us see, for many years now. He is always kind personable, very thorough, and doesnt make you feel rushed like previous Optometrist have.All his staff are wonderful caring people. Everyone seems very knowledgeable and helpful. They really go the extra mile to take care of you. They have ordered in special sized frames for one if my sons, so he would have the style he wanted in the size he needs. (Now they just stock that size) My oldest boy went through a rebellious phase for a while as a young teenager, I cant tell you how many times they fixed or replaced (at no cost to us) his glasses. Heck just recently they fixed my sunglasses that are about 2 years out of warranty.I always refer my friends, coworkers and family to Woolf Eye Care.They one of the few Five Star establishments out there.

This has been my care center since moving to Arizona 6 years ago. It has been the best experience from start to finish!! Everyone is extremely nice and helpful with my questions.Dr Woolf went above and beyond with the eye exam and took time to explain why I had issues previously.I now have the best glasses Ive ever owned.Thank you very much for listening and helping me!!!

The front office, technicians, and Dr Woolf all displayed superior levels of compassion, professionalism, and competency throughout our visit. It was necessary to bring my wifes mother who has a severe case of RP. After testing and review of results, Dr Woolf let us know that the damage was too severe for any type of lens correction. However; in addition to gently telling us the results, he showed us a short video featuring a camera device that mounts on the side of your head & through an ear receiver tells you what it sees. Additionally, it memorizes people so in the future, it calls out their name.As an aside, Dr Woolf spoke with my wife prior to the visit and cautioned her that based upon her answers, it was likely her moms vision may not be correctable with lenses. I highly recommend this eye care center.

I had such a pleasant experience today, that it prompted me to come and write this review. I had purchased glasses previously and needed a slight adjustment for the fit. I was at the office today and realized it was the middle of their lunch hour. I ran into Gail headed to lunch. She asked if she could help me. I told her I needed my glasses adjusted but could come back. She said absolutely not, and proceeded to go back in the office and help me. She was no nice, so pleasant and so patient. She truly put the customer before herself. It was very sweet and selfless. Most people would not have done that, especially during a lunch hour! Gail, thank you for being so wonderful and lovely every encounter Ive had with you. All the women in the office are always so sweet and wonderful to me, but today you really stood out! Thank you.

Ive worn glasses since the fourth grade and contacts since high school. This is the best experience Ive ever had. Theyre patient, personable, and knowledgeable.The staff told me where I could get contacts on sale (not from them) and helped me maximize my insurance benefits. My glasses werent right the first time and they didnt hesitate to make them right. I also got a better understanding of whats going on with my eyes and how the different prescriptions work. Oh, and Ive done this with my energetic children in tow and theyre still kind and friendly!

I went to Woolf Eye Care Center to get an eye exam for the first time in a long time. The staff was very friendly, knowledgeable and helped explain every step of the way. I was in very quickly and the overall experience was very pleasant. I ordered some glasses and they came in exactly when they said they would. The staff also helped to fit the glasses to my face before I left. Ill definitely be coming back here again.

My husband and I both had a very through exam today with Dr. Paul Woolf. We were impressed with his office, equipment, staff and how he treated his staff. Our previous eye doctor in Ca had optomap and I searched for an office with this. Dr. Woolf had this plus some other advanced pieces of equipment. He was easy to talk to, took his time with our exams. Both of us were experiencing eye changes and he explained what was happening. Happy to find this doctor, will go again next year/ hopefully with no changes

Such a pleasant experience! My babysitter bailed last minute, causing me to bring my 3 month old with me. Everyone was so kind and flexible with me. One tech even held my baby so I could complete the eye exam! Quality service, but more importantly, quality people.

Ive been going to Dr Paul Woolf for nearly 25 years and hes incredible. Best eye doctor Ive ever had and also a kind caring and friendly man. Now he has a young associate Dr Brian Baldwin who is also a great guy and highly skilled! These guys are amazing and Id recommend them to anyone!

We have been seeing him for a few years and highly recommend him to anyone.Additionally, the optical staff is superb. We have received prompt, reliable and generous help each time we need glasses.

End of the year-end benefits and they got me and. Was very professional from the start to the end and very personable. I work in the medical community and know just how disconnected you can be. Couldnt be further from the truth with dr. Wolf and staff. I personally base more emphasis on the staff versus the doctor as they are the ones that are the point people in the face of the company. I brought my kids- they were good with the kids. The office is child-friendly. They were flexible with payment, allowing two payments. The selection is good. They are transparent about cost. Pick up is about one week to 10 days. They can do Saturday appointments, about 3-4 weeks out.Main complaint- I asked about an appointment to diagnose a specific type color-blindness. They said yes, they could do that and set the appointment. Then, once there on the day of, they said no- cannot do that service. I had to use my insurance benefit for that exam- now have to go somewhere else, wait more time for that appointment, and pay another copay- and for a specialist. What if my vision benefits don’t pay for another eye exam this year? I get stuck with the added cost of a second exam. They should not have lied to me to get a customer in the door. That was a waste of time and money. Very dissapointing. Just for that, will not be returning with family again.

Dr. Woolfs office staff is exceptional, from the front desk girls, to Dr. Woolf and then on to Gail that helped me with the ordering of my glasses were the best. Dr. Woolf took his time and figured out what contacts were best for me and was kind as ever. I would recommend this eyecare center to anyone looking for a great experience. I received my contacts within days and my glasses were in soon after that. Also say thank you to the office manager who helped me when my glasses came in. Thank you so much.

Dr. Woolf was very thorough in doing my daughters eye exam. Woolf Eyecare also has a great optical boutique with lots of fantastic frames from a lot of different designers. My daughter found adorable Kate Spade frames and although we were told they would be ready in about a week... it literally only took 36 hours. Everyone is very professional and super cool. The office is lovely and you will get outstanding eye care. At Woolf Eyecare Center, its obvious they dont treat their patients like just another number. Okay, and here comes the fun little cliche saying: This Woolf is the leader of the pack.

They helped me pick out the best type of lens for clear vision. Love my new glasses. Huge improvement! Great service, friendly helpful staff.

Dr was fine, however front staff were not the greatest. We did request special contact lenses for my daughter, and they order a different brand! When lenses were ready for pick up she had to wait a long time in the office for her trial lenses. They did not ask her to put her lenses on in the office. So they did not check her fitting. Not going back! When her eyeglasses came in technician was afraid to adjust her glasses because she was afraid to break the frame since the prescription is strong. Save yourself a trip! Okay, so now that we are trying to transfer my daughters record to another eye dr they cant find her chart! Really? I have insurance papers that proves my daughter was seen there! Here we go again! They said they would transfer her chart to the other clinic of choice, and they are holding onto the contact lens prescription because my daughter did not want to go back because the front staff was not professional! We are not going back for follow up and I have had to call 3 times not to mention how many times my daughter has called! Save yourself a visit! I have a feeling the other reviews are from their family or very close friends!

I found Dr Woolf via reviews like this. I felt his many years of experience speaks for itself, and I was right. He’s an excellent doctor. This last year I came back for my annual exam and a small mistake with the front office led me to having their new(er) doctor doing my exam. I have to admit, I was very upset at first and they heard all about it! My concern was that I wanted Dr Wooolfs experience, and I just didn’t know what experience this guy had. They were not only respectful but apologetic and offered to make any changes I needed. I of course didn’t have time to reschedule so I agreed to the exam and let me just tell you this guy was AMAZING. I mean Dr Woolf is great but he was SO thorough, explaining everything that I asked about, taking plenty of extra time to get through the exam. He absolutely went above and beyond and this was after I had pretty much told him I didn’t think he was going to have the experience to be able to help me. I’m writing this review specifically because of how completely wrong I was about him, he is spectacular. Mistakes are made from time to time, but the way it is handled is what’s really important, and the staff and doctors here were outstanding. And I was wrong, the new doctor is amazing.

I was upset when I had to change providers originally but after seeing reviews and choosing this place I end up liking it more than my previous provider . Very knowledgeable, very courteous and super helpful. Hopefully I can remain at this eye doctor for life if my insurance doesnt change.

Hes really thorough. I went to him a couple of years ago, then went somewhere else because of location. Ended up coming back here because he just does a great job. He takes the time to do a full exam and talks with you about issues or concerns. The only bad thing is the glasses and contacts are very expensive. He sells designer stuff, too expensive for my taste.

Everyone here is great!! Dr. Wolf doesnt rush through exams like other eye doctors. If you have Kerataconus or need gas-permiable Scleral lenses, this is the place to go!

Not clear about pricing of add on diagnostics (expensive surprises!) and very hesitant to give me my pupil distance so I can order glasses elsewhere. The staff was nice but the doctor was pushy and a little rude.

Ive been seeing Dr. Woolf since I was 6 yrs old and he is a great Dr. And his office moves a lot however, when you have appointment close to lunch time you will be waiting outside till they open back up.

I never have had bad experience and been seeing Dr Woolf and his staff for over 18 years. So if you ever need any Eye care this is a place to go... you guys are great!

At the exam appointment, they were running behind by 10-15 minutes and I was moved from one exam room to another because the equipment was not working. I purchased only a lens replacement for Silhouette frames which i was told would take 3 weeks. After 3 weeks passed I called the office for an update and was told it would be a few more days. After telling the staff that I thought it was unacceptable i was put on hold and when the office staff returned to my call, she said that the glasses were ready to pick up. The frame selection is not at all what i hoped for and my new lenses are less than perfect as i see sopts around lights at night. Very frustrating knowing Ill likely be out of my glasses again of they are too fix this issue.

My wife has been going to Dr Woolf for years. I finally broke down and went to see him as I had started to have some mild vision issues. He uses top of the line equiptment which avoids having to have your eyes dialated and keeps the records for retinal exam. Prices were reasonable and Dr Woolf is top notch Dr and if you need a referral to Opthamologist which he has good working relationships with.

Not only did they take $180 for the WRONG pair of new glasses for my son and not return phone calls, they still have not responded to phone call requesting prescription, so I can order him the right pair from someplace else. They only want your $$. Do not visit this doctor = what a scam.

Great Dr, Nice staff but make sure you have PATIENCE.Took 20 min just to make my first appt. I arrive early, and to my surprise, I am not in the system for my appt after I spent 20 min at work giving ALL my personal info. I have to give all my info once more. While entering my info they ask if Im sure I live in mesa because my zip code/address isnt in their system. I have to do a quick google search on my phone (apparently they dont have google) to prove I do in fact know where I live. Yay, my 1st grade teacher would be so proud. After waiting an extra hour after I provided my information I finally get seen. But wait it gets better, their contact exam machine keeps shutting down and I have to get blinded 2-3 times for a simple test because their machine always does this. After 2 1/2 hours I finally got to go home. Not bad for just a vision exam right?The unfortunate part is that Dr Woolf is a really great Dr once I got in to see him. So if you have LOTS of patience for the staff and a book to read and not looking for glasses (not a wide selection and pricey) this is the place for you.

If I could give Dr Woolf and his team no stars I would have done that! Shame on him and his staff! We brought my sons broken eye glasses to them on 02.07.18. We call on 02.21.18 because we have not heard back from them. They told us that they will call us back because they don’t know what is going on. Not until the next day they calland let us know that it is “supply and demand” and that they will let us know when they will be ready. So now on 02.23.18 they call and talk to me. The First Lady I spoke to said that the lab will be over nighting the glasses and we can pick up on Tuesday because they are closed on Monday. I let the lady know that, that it is unacceptable. You guys have had the glasses for over 2 weeks and the fact that they will be over nighting them to you and we get to wait four days is not ok. She did not like that I had said so she got her manager on the phone. Btw this was about 11am. So the manager gets on and proceeds to tell me that she will not come on her day off to sit and wait nor will the dr pay someone to sit and wait. I told her that none of this was my problem but you guys need to make this right. She kept saying the dr will not be ok with it. So I told her every day that I do not have my sons glasses I will be doing a yelp review. She said she will get with dr Woolf and call me back. I made TWO attempts to talk to this office manager before 5pm when they closed for their nice 3 day weekend. And someone told me that the Dr will be calling me back before end of day. He calls me 20 mins before 5. WOW!!!! Is all I can say about this dr. All this company did was blame their lab, they weren’t the ones that lost them, I asked the dr to make it right, he proceeds to tell me that these glasses were funded by the school and he makes no money off of them. That he does it for free. He said what to me? Yes!!! This dr has treated me so horribly, why? Because I had gotten help from my sons school to get him glasses and he had basically no remorse of making this situation right. He says it’s one day can he sit up close? I said one day? Sir we turned these in 02.07.18 he says “oh my office staff didn’t tell me that” HELLO!!! I already told you that!!! He then proceeds to tell me what I was yelling at his staff? Ohh ok, now the dr is taking his staff side instead of getting the call resolved. I told him he had horrible customer service skills and he truly needs to rethink about his staff. It gets better.... his wife was one of the woman I had talked to and he believes his wife. This phone call never ended by the way. This dr set and argued and treated me like my 9 year old son did not matter because of this and that. Not did he once apologize for his staff, for the long period of time or want to help. He was going on vacation and had to leave!!! I would never take my business to Dr. Woolf Paul L OD. He still made no attempt to help me or promise he would do something for my son!! Shame on you and your staff!!!

I have been going to this lcoation for 3 years and Dr. Woolf and his staff are top-notch. Always professional, kind and friendly. The care is excellent and I have never been up-saled for glasses or expensive options. They work within your budget. Lastly Dr. Woolf is the only eye doctor that I have met who consistently gives patient education on the dangers of UV light and protecting your eyes. He has the latest technology in his office so you dont have to do the old school eye-drops if you dont want to. Overall has been a great place to continue my eye care and I am sad that I am moving out of town and will no longer be able to visit them.
