Shout out to the Gilroy Toyota team! Best dealership in Nor Cal.I went to 3+ other dealerships where the sales people were like vultures or were not friendly/helpful at all. Angel Ortega was super enthusiastic, helpful and empathetic. He worked with me through the whole process on buying my first new truck and first Toyota! Gerardo over in FI got me in/out quickly. Easily the best experience Ive had and I wouldnt hesitate that I highly recommend Gilroy Toyota. Thanks again Angel - well worth the 2 hour drive!!

I used to think that dealership was the best but after the very poor detailing job done on my SUV, I was totally disappointed. I brought my car in for detailing and left it there for a whole day. I had to rent a car from them for the day. I got my car and it looked like it was only vacuumed and ran through a drive through car wash. I saw some spots on my leather seats and the door vinyl that were never touched. The car did not look derailed at all. Additionally, I hear a noise coming from the back seat like something is loose since that day I went to the store and bought supplies and detailed it myself. I regret using that toyota place. That was the only problem I have had there

My experiences here have not been good. My car buying experience was stereotypical, but many years ago. Excessive wait time to close the transaction. Im here again for a recall service. This is the closest dealer.The job will take about an hour; I have an appointment, but I expect to be here 4 hours. Tried for a loaner but full insurance is required. My car is old enough I would need to buy it for 6 months for half a day coverage.Why cant an appointment start when you bring the car at the appointed time?

Stereotypical sleazy sales team that use the same 50 year old sales tactics. I spoke with 3 different people all of which were insanely annoying, most of which being Jerry the sales manager who was incredibly unhelpful and rude. I was 100% ready to buy the car but will move onto the next dealer due to Jerrys abhorrent customer service. Will be sure to never do business with this dealer in the future.

DO NOT BUY TIRES at Gilroy Toyota and go somewhere else for service on vehicles.Gilroy service and dealership does not honor the warranty and worst customer service ever.Toyota serviced the Highlander with an oil change and tires were rotated. We are diligent with our service in order to maintain the warranty and health of the auto.I purchased Toyo Tires for the Highlander in summer July of 2018 and in 2017.Highlander made a wobbling sound immediately after we left Dealership - after oil change. We drove the SUV for a few days and the sound grew louder. The sound was a humming wobbling sound.Returned to Dealership and Julian assisted. We explained the problem and Julian asked service technicians to review. Julian called and stated that the thread on the tires were separating on both tires. His team of technicians did not find that we crashed or bumped the tires on a curb or any obstacle.We purchased the tires from Toyota Gilroy because the service tecnicians stated that their warranty was solid and backed by Toyota.On our 1st call, Julian proceeded to tell us that unfortunately Toyota warranty does not apply and that two new tires must be purchased. Warranty in Toyo tires states that defects and/or workmanship is covered. The tires are falling apart due to defects and not wear and tear. Additionally, miles traveled are not significant therefore wear and tear are minimal - car is utilized by wife for local driving to schools, groceries, etc.Julian also stated that we would have to call Toyota Tires since he cannot. Eventhough we paid Toyota Dealership for the tires, we were told that we had to call Toyota Tires - does not make sense for us to call Toyota Tires since our purchase was with Gilroy Toyota Dealership. Worst customer service!!!On 3rd visit to Dealership, Julian changed his story and stated that 2 tires would be removed and shipped to Toyo Tires for evaluation; however that I would have to buy two new tires $500. Next Toyota would take 2 months to respond. After 2 months Toyota would decide if a prorated discount would apply.I asked Julian for paperwork and my auto back. Picked up my Highlander.Took my Highlander to Costco Tires and shared the documents from Toyota Dealership. Costco tire technicians confirmed that at Costco this type of tire separation is covered under Costco warranty and that there is no need to ship tires and wait 2 months for a reply. They also reviewed the Toyota warranty and stated that Toyota should have covered the tires.I had to purchase 4 new tires from Costco because the technician explained that if 2 non Toyo tires are left on Highlander and 2 other tires are placed, the transmission is affected long term.Toyota Gilroy technican is dishonest, not customer friendly, and does not think of customer first.Go to Costco Tires or elsewhere and avoid Gilroy Toyota Dealership.#costcotires #toyotagilroysuck #gilroytoyotabadcustomerservicr #buycostcotire #boycottgilroytoyota #toyotadishonest #toyotasucks #worstcustomerservice

I highly recommend this dealership Dave the sales associate was so professional and Patient I was so Picky because I wanted a Specific model with a specific price he let me take all the time to think without being pushy as usually sales do. Also, Jason, the sales manager did a tremendous job he came and sat with us, and that was surprising to me since it’s my third time purchasing a car and I never had a direct negotiation with the sales manager before. We spent more 6 hours negotiations the prices, and I didn’t feel they had tired or frustrated. Again if you are looking for a new or used car go there, and they will take good care of you.

After negotiating for the price, we eventually had to ask directly if our down payment reflected on the quote they gave us- it didnt. It was basically quoted price + down payment....which they neglected to mention until we had to ask. Their general manager (?) was nice, but their financial manager basically called us liars for mentioning other dealerships gave us a lower quote. The way he called us liars was by saying how he knows all the managers at the other dealerships etc etc.

Our elderly mother needed a new car and needed her familys help to get it. We were so concerned that our kind (and naive) mother would be taken to the cleaners if she did this purchase on her own. Four states away, we selected the most suitable car for her and she went to Gilroy Toyota for the purchase. Luckily, Steve Heidler was the salesman that helped her (helped the whole family, really). Steve was so hard working and honest, got her the best price, and kept in touch with us during the whole transaction. He was so respectful and was so incredibly kind to our mother, myself and my brother. It probably wasnt easy to make this sale with my brother and myself hovering over the whole deal, but Steve was so patient and went over and above to keep us in the loop with her transaction. Thank you so much Steve! Mom loves her new car!

Came to Gilroy Toyota for maintenance. I ended up paying for full labor for 1.2 hours when it only took them maybe 30 minutes of work. If you don’t mind throwing money out for minimal work come here for maintenance. If you don’t have money to throw away consider all options carefully.

Went to this dealership looking to purchase a used Tundra. Met with a salesman, very nice and informative and test drove the truck. He quoted the price and when we got back to the dealership, another employee took over. As we spoke with him, the price went up by several thousand dollars. He explained the quote given was wrong. Then we showed him the internet pricing for the vehicle which was the same as the first salesman’s quote. After meeting with unknown others, he then told they would honor the listed quote. Suffice it to say we went somewhere else.

I have had fair pricing for repairs/ maintenance for my previous 2004 Corolla and now have a new 2019 Corolla. I would say that Art Olvera is one of the best service advisors that I have ever had throughout my many years owning Toyotas. I would not go anywhere else for service. Went to service department. For a check engine light. Glad it was no charge under warranty. They scared me with the potential $150 dollar charge in case the diagnostics showed what was wrong with the car was not under warranty. I think that fee should be dismissed period. First of all I did not get Sienna SE for advertised price $28535.The first sales person came up stated that it must been a mistake.Well, everyone is guilty of making mistake to include myself, therefore, I was trying to work with them to be fair and reasonable. We negotiated a price on Sienna LE model we were handed over to another sales person (and we should of walked off then) and the second sales person gave us few options. By then I was telling him that we have to go pick up our son who is at school. The person walked off very rudely saying you dont want the deal. I was telling him the truth and we had every intentions of returning after pick him up. He did not gave me a chance to explain that we will be back after picking up son. I perceived that I was treated as second class citizen and maybe it is because my background.... Additionally, he was accusing me of hacking into their website and changed the price of 2016 Sienna SE. Hacking into their website to get a better price???? It was horrible experience...

High price and dishonest sales! They play tricks on me and trick me to go. Once I was there, they cannot honor their promises.I asked price quote from car website, Gilroy gave me the highest quote but call me they will honor the price over the phone. I am willing to pay a little more because I live in Gilroy and like to keep the sales tax in the City. But when I arrived the store, they told me the car I request is not available and want me to change the specs. I will never want to do business with this sales team after being customer for this dealership in last 15+ years.

I called their parts department to order and was pleasantly surprised. I was able to buy parts I needed and was cheaper than Capitol Toyota. I called Capitol first and instead of telling me prices and the parts I needed, I got the answer that I could not change the transmission oil in my Prius. I drove down to Gilroy and bought all the stuff I needed.

Brought a Prius from this place on the 4th of July, whole experience was great.The sales guy Marcus was super friendly and patient. He answered all of our questions. Didn’t feel rushed or pressured.Dari was a pro and explained the finances- page by page, and again it wasn’t rushed or any pressure.We did hit a snag and had to bring the car back the very next day, but Danny, Ray and Marcus went above and beyond to help us out to get everything sorted.Everyone was super friendly and genuinely cared. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to purchase a vehicle.

I own a tree service and landscaping business so I am in dealerships all over the Bay Area getting maintenance done.... it was a completely different experience when I stopped in at Gilroy Toyota while doing some shopping on the holidays because it was convenient to get my truck serviced will we shopped at the outlets...but the staff there from Julian in service to joe Wright in sale to the finance manager Dari and after all this the Operation Director Derrick came and introduced himself and welcome me to the Gilroy Toyota family Ive never experienced any business that truly treat you like family!! Absolutely worst experience I have encountered in my vehicle purchasing life!! Worked out a great deal, didnt know how great it was until I went to Suburu, who compared in price but Toyota offered more car, headed back to Toyota, arrived at 8 p.m. to finalize deal.. the finance manager had already left, sales manager was there. He assured us in his 15 years of working there next morning the prices would be better for us.. of course it didnt happen, they tried to offer a much downgraded vehicle.. We walked out the door livid. Finance manager said hed call us later in day as hed search for something that would make us happy, never got a call. Even after I called and left a message, he never returned the call. SHADY DEALERSHIP!!!

DishonestWe were hoping to buy the car on the same day. We spoke to a sales person on call and fix the price on phone before visiting their dealership so that we would not waste time bargaining. We were planing to test drive the car and just buy it as i was expecting a child in next two week or so. However, they flipped on the price they had quoted us and they bargaining went for more than 4 hours, i was so tired seating as i was due in two weeks...we were so upset that we left the dealership with no car and back pain. The sales person told us to wait for a Monday or Tuesday and if they dont sale the car we are needing they can work with us for the price....however, not the price they had quoted us to begin with. I am in process of sending a compliant to BBB.

A young male sales person, puts me with a young sales girl. She noticed her mgr. gave the wrong figures, so she went back to him for new figures. If you come here, use your calculator folks! 2nd time, the breakdown of figures were incorrect. The figures didnt match up to what the sales girl was saying. When I showed her the calculations were wrong on my phone screen, she got frustrated, and took away one sheet, and then went with the higher amount sheet. Does that make sense? It was incorrect as well. When I told her, I dont like doing business this way, (with figures not matching up), she scrunched the paper up and walked away. She let me, a customer, walk out the door. The next day, I went to Santa Cruz Toyota and bought a car. Camry XLE. The Gilroy sales mgr. did not come out to greet me. At Santa Cruz Toyota, the sales mgr comes out to greet you and starts crunching the numbers with you. Then, it goes back to a staff for review and more negotiating in a positive and professional manner. Also, dont believe you have to pay an extra $2,000 to have ALL leather seats, as I was told. Go to Santa Cruz Toyota for the largest selection of ALL leather available! They cater to what their customer wants and its sitting right on the lot for you to test drive. You cannot beat the awesome customer service at Santa Cruz Toyota! I made a solid deal and the figures matched correctly. Best not to settle in what you dont want. Dont ever accept poor customer service. Go with highly professional, experienced individuals who can meet ALL your needs. Santa Cruz Toyota sold 26 cars on Dec. 29th!!!! They are making room for their new 2019 shipment. I walked away VERY happy and satisfied at Santa Cruz Toyota! No pressure. They work with you.

My appointment was at 7 AM I got there at 6:55 PM everybody treated me like I was there an hour early and that it was absurd that I was there five minutes before . On top of that an oil change cost me $98 where if you go and get one at Toyota in Monterey for Santa Cruz its at least $30 less. The manager who is helping me said enable prices are different everywhere. My appointment was at 7 AM and I got out of there at 8:30. This place is a joke

A service was performed on my vehicle on 04/21/2018 at the Gilroy Toyota. As Always, I was a happy customer especially since I drive all the way from Pacific Grove to Gilroy, when I was almost always extended a 10-15% discount just to give me more reasons to drive the distance rather than driving 4 miles to Victory Toyota in Seaside. Well, for this service appointment my service advisor indicated that he is not allowed to extend anymore discounts. As surprising as it was, I accepted the service minus replacing my three light bulbs (quote of $215.76) and the alignment (quote of $129.95). Incidentally, I drove over to Auto Zone next door, and I purchased those three light bulbs for $26.00 and the counter person replaced them for me within five minutes for free as a courtesy service they offer.The service I had done at Gilroy Toyota included an $85.00 highlight assembly adjustment. Well, I realized the adjustment had not been performed the first night I drove after the service, even though I had paid for that service. I called my service advisor Julian back and I explained the issue and he made me another appointment for the following Saturday 04/28/2018 in order for the mechanic to redo the job. The day before going there, I received a survey from your customer service. I completed that survey based on my recent experience just like I described to you. When I arrived to my appointment and Julian saw me, he directly went to an office across the drive thru without even greeting me and talked to a gentleman in that office. Then, that gentleman came to my car window with a paper in his hand, just as I had my driver door half way open and asked if I were Masood, and I responded “yes”. He then said “You don’t need to get out of your car”. I asked “I don’t?”, and he said correct because “we are terminating you as a customer”! At first I thought he was joking. When I sounded lost and surprised, he showed me the paper in his hand and said “Bad Survey?”. I told him I merely said what my experience was like on the survey and after all, that is the purpose of a survey! He then shook his head and said “Well, we are terminating you”. I asked who he was and he said Rich Spencer. I then asked for his title and he said he was the General Manager and he slammed my car door in my face and said “Kiss my A…..s” and walked away.I was so shocked and stunned and did not know how to react especially after I drove all the way there. Well, I drove away and parked at a parking lot and walked for a while to clear my head and so I would be able to drive back to Pacific Grove. Such thing had never happened to me before and I was so disappointed to say the least. I called the Victory Toyota and they gave me an appointment for the very next day, Sunday 04/29/2018 at 2PM. I took it there and they adjusted my lights and they charged me only $75 which was even $10 less than what I had paid you guys. Obviously, I would not remain Gilroy Toyotas customer anymore regardless of whether I was terminated or not. However it is a total disgrace to treat any paying customer especially a US Army member. I have disputed the $85 through my credit card company and I should be entitled to. But, that should be the least of Gilroy Toyota’s worries. Because, I am so hurt in every which was such, being mistreated, not getting the service and being charged for it. it is a total shame!

I had an appointment set up and went to test drive a truck and they sold it the day before and somehow still set up an appointment with me and said it was still available. Come to find out when I got there it was sold before the appointment was even made. Poor way to do business.

Service is very demeaning towards women. I was talked down to by own of the service guys who was very sarcastic and rude. I was told they had everything they needed when I dropped my car off. I get a call 30 minutes later after I had left that I needed to come back and sign a paper. When I came back the guy was super derogative and rude about me leaving before I was suppose to even though the greeter told me I was good to go.

Couple months ago we come to toyota in gilroy for a new van because our old one was total, and were dealing for a good price but Dari (seller) and Ray (manager) telling us no they cant give us that price. Then the next day he call us and say ok to our price, come over and get the car, but I told my husband to ask the for the weather tech or were not coming . They said yes to that too. When we came there and sign everything and come out, they said they dont have it in storage, they have to order it. They tell us to call and check if its arrived, when we called the seller Dari, he told us to call parts and service, we did the same thing Dari told us, but the parts and service have no idea what are we talking about. I feel like they scamming you into buying the car and then not giving you the stuff was promise and then you got the car and theres no way to return it. After that weve been calling Dari a few times but he didnt pick up the phone.
