Terrible service just like everyone else.they have had my car since Tuesday, Wednesday they called and said it would be 390 just todiagnose the problem ( which I told them exactly what the problem was when I walked through the door as it is a common issue with my year and model) no contact whatsoever this week, even when I call to ask about it I get an attitude telling me that they will call me when they get to it. Now it is Saturday,the place is closed and I cant get my car back. I am not available during their piddly shop hours during the week as I have a job and need to work. Do not bring your vehicle here under any circumstances, seriously. It will be cheaper and less hassle to just buy a new car than to deal with these crooks who try to milk you for every penny they can.

They had my car for a month. During that time my car was left unlocked and was broken in to. They somehow caused my car to have a flat tire, now my rim is bent. They brought my car to the front of the store to me with a flat and a dirt spot where the tire had been sitting on the rim.Now my AC does not work in my car.I had to call to follow up on my car. And they overcharged me.

Staff very greedy on trying to find other things thats not wrong with your car, and then threatening to not give you your warranty on the problem that you brought your car in to be prepared. Very terrible experience!

Wow, Im speechless. My car started having problems with what I thought was the transmission yesterday. Glen Burnie Transmission was highly recommend to me, so I called them up and in less than 24-hours had my vehicle towed for free and repaired. Terry, the mechanic who I talked to, was friendly, professional, and honest. I was told what the problem might be, and how much it would cost worst case scenario on the phone ahead of getting the car towed. They called me less than a couple hours later with the diagnosis (best case scenario, woo hoo) and, not long after that to let me know it was fixed and ready for pick up. I will definitely bring any vehicle I own back here, and recommend them to my friends.

There are many transmission vendors out there. What makes this place stand out is their warranty and the way they handle the process when something does go bad. Life isnt perfect and parts can fail regardless of good workmanship. Glen Burnie and certified transmission are hassle free when it comes to standing behind their warranty.

When picking up my car, I noticed the front passenger side tire was flat I ask if there was a air hose to put some air in my tire, the response was its a has station across the street, very professional.

After going back and forth with Honda for nearly a month over a bad transmission, glen burnie jumped in and saved the day! They got my car in to their shop, quickly assessed the issue, gave me details Honda didn’t, and got a new transmission for me at a better price and better warranty than what the dealer was offering. I truly didn’t have a bad initial experience with the company. I had them install a new (rebuilt) transmission in my 2012 Nissan Quest. I checked a local shop in Joppa and GBT was $1000 cheaper and a partner on 95.1 Shine FM, so I decided to utilize their services. All of my encounters were good from vehicle towing to vehicle pick up with a week. I was traveling the next week after picking up the vehicle but chose a get a rental because I didn’t want to drive 1200+ miles with a transmission that needed breaking down n slowly. Fast forward about a month later. I haven’t put more than 500-800 miles on this transmission and while coming home from work today, my vehicle started smoking and fluid flowed from engine compartment. I was stuck on the side of the road. I called GBT and do not remember who answered but it was close to 445p and they were closing soon. I explained the situation and where I was on the side of the road. I was told that the tow truck doesn’t pick up from roadside break downs. ????? I didn’t want to break down there either. He said that they pick up from him Homes or businesses. I said do you want me to drive with no transmission fluid? Just so you can pickup my vehicle from my house? He said no and said that I would get a call for next day to pickup vehicle. WOW, I didn’t think that I was asking too much for paying close to $5000 and my vehicle is not operational. I am looking to see how this will play out because I could have saved my money or put towards another vehicle.

We were having trouble with our car and had it towed to Glenn Bernie Transmissions. We had used them years before and were pleased with their work price and warranty. We were sure our transmission was gone and prepared to have it replaced no questions asked when we got the call!! Sir we have done a full inspection of your transmission and at this time we do not feel you need a new transmission!!!! What how many companies would do this. My vehicle has been in this shop for almost 3 weeks now. Every time I try to get a update, I get a different excuse. The service advisor says they will call me back and never so. Originally, I was told my vehicle would be completed March 5. As of the day, it is not done and I cant get any difinitive completion time. I am a Uber driver, therefore I am not able to make any income.

I thought the transmission on my Honda Fit was busted, and a coworker recommended I call Glen Burnie Transmissions. They sent their tow truck at a convenient time for me, figured out it was actually a broken axle. They fixed it, charged me a fair price, and got me driving again! Would certainly use again.

Initially my experience was pleasant.. JR was very helpful with setting up my vehicle to come in and explained that my transmission needed to be replaced and I needed trans cooler lines replaced as well. Upon completion of my vehicle I paid $3600 and drove home. While driving the serpentine belt came off and almost caused a terrible accident... I had to receive a tow home. I reached out the very next day and was greeted with a young lady that provided the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced.(unfortunately I did not get her name) I couldn’t believe it.. it was like night and day from my experience before. I was told that they didn’t touch the belt and it was impossible for them to have done anything that would make the belt come off. They were extremely rude and argumentative and very inaccurate with her information. I didn’t think it was outlandish to think something could have happened by accident seeing as they were the last to touch the vehicle and replaced the cooler lines that were inches away from the belt. I can’t believe they treated me like this after just having spent $3600 with them the day prior. The belt cost $26 at my local auto parts store and I paid someone to put my belt on as they refused to do anything. It only took him 10mintes to put the new belt on. So now I’m out an extra almost $400 with the tow and paying someone else to fix my vehicle. And I almost had a terrible accident which could have cost me my life. This was a terrible experience and I would not recommend anyone bring their vehicles here.

Very Very nice people but their prices for repairs were a bit high so I couldnt do business with them.

You guys have had our Jeep Cherokee for over 2 weeks and it is still not 100% done . At first, Terry kept saying it was an issue getting the transmission due to it being a special order. He kept telling me that he would call me when the transmission was received and that never happened. I called a week ago and supposedly the transmission came in on Tuesday and Terri said that we were the next car in line to get worked on that it should be completed by Friday and that he would call . Again, no call from him . So we call on Monday and all they had to do was program it and test drive it and that he would call us to let us know. Again no call from him. Here it is Tuesday and we call in the morning to find out the status and he was waiting for the programmer and to test drive it and that he would call us. Again no call and it is now 3 o’clock. We finally call again to find out the status because we were told yesterday that we could pick it up on Tuesday morning and now they have to test drive it again due to hearing a noise and that is needs to be looked at . You have had the transmission for a week now and now we are just finding out that you hear a noise ?? That is ridiculous and the fact that we were never called on the multiple times we were told we would be .

Glen Bernie was the only company in the area that could find a transmission for my car without going directly for a new one from the manufacturer. I would absolutely recommend this company for repairs.

Had my transmission done in two days...running great so far

They were quick. The only thing that I was dissatisfied with is that I specifically asked that all mounts for transmition and engine be changed for the smoothest ride possible. They agreed to change them and charged me for all mounts but only changed one. When I picked up the car I asked if they changed all mounts and they said yes. I checked and noticed right away that only one mount was changed. I asked why you charged me for new mounts but only changed one. Their response was oh we only changed the one that was bad. But you charged me for all....no response. And when coming to a quick stop, the transmission is shifting hard back to 1st gear. I called the same day after I picked up the car and drove it home. I asked why the transmission is shifting so hard when coming to a quick stop. The person I spoke with said that transmition will eventually adapt and it should be ok. The great thing is I have a three year 100,000 miles warranty and after a few hundred miles, if its not shifting right, Im going to need that corrected.

Terrible service, I have had my vehicle there for past 8-9 days still no work has been done. Nobody calls you back and keep you updated about your vehicle at all. If I didn’t call to check on my bmw it would still be sitting in the lot not touched. Terry didn’t give me much info about the issues of my car as well. Nobody knew what the problem was. It’s been 8-9 days finally today I asked to have my vehicle back, I am tired of waiting for them to just diagnose it. 9 days later nothing has been done!!! I wouldn’t recommend these guys to anyone

I have a 2013 Honda Accord my husband and I took it to AMMCO. They told us we needed a new transmission we would pay $1250 for them to just take the car apart and we were looking at about $5000 for a new transmission. While inside I looked up reviews and decided to call Glen Burnie Transmissions I spoke with Marty he was GREAT ! He gave us prices over the phone we took the car in to find out we didn’t need a new transmission they just had to flush somethings and we saved $4500 . We want to say THANK YOU SO MUCH MARTY if you think you have a transmission problem take your car to them first !

My daughters Jeep had transmission issues. GBT was able to quickly diagnose the issue,. Terry did a great job of communicating with me about the issue, the cost, and any other questions we had. The Jeep was quickly repaired at a very reasonable price. I also found the office staff very friendly and helpful! I know this is the place Ill be bringing my Jeep for a new clutch. Overall an outstanding experience.

We went to this place a few months ago. We thought we were having transmission issues, they came picked up our car, looked at it and realized it wasnt a transmission issue, it ended up being a spark plug issue.. they sent our car to their local mechanic for fixing and saved us a few thousand dollars.. they did all of the leg work, we just had to pick it up when it was ready to go!

I have to say that I very much impressed with the service that I received. They came to Virginia from Glen Burnie and towed my vehicle in as a customer courtesy. Fast turn around times, legit work, everything transmissions related : trans cooler, trans cooler lines, radiator, transfer case are factored into the aspect of I Need a new transmission. All facets are covered!!!! Transmission comes with a couple options for warranty up to 3 years!!! Call to check with agents!!!!

The jury is still out. The first transmission lasted a couple of weeks, this one has about a year and maybe 40,000 miles and developed a shutter that I was told would initiate a claims process. That was about 3 weeks ago and havent heard anything and since it isnt really bad I havent called. And yes I have a long commute.

After completing the online form to request a quote, I promptly received an email inviting me in for a diagnostic look.The shop is an hour from my home. Upon arrival, I was immediately referred to an expert.The technician (Curt) did the testing while I rode with him. I found him to be extremely knowledgeable and informative. Curt has an unusual mastery of the diagnostic tools, and was easily able to explain in simple terms where the actual problem exists. In a way; I am sorry that, this time, I dont have a transmission problem. Even though I live an hour away from your shop, I would have happily left it there for repair. I still have to spend plenty of money to fix my truck - I just wish I could be spending there.Thanks guys

This is the best place in the area bar none. I most recently took a 17 year Tacoma with 270K miles to them with a noisy transfer case. Everyone else was quoting me around $3K. In about 1 hour they located a used part with 100K miles less than the truck on it and got me back on the road for $1300 ($200 less than their quote). No BS, no hassle. This shop is really something special.

It’s offsite loading but quick and there is a Jamaican restaurant right across from it. It took them to Load me 25mints. I’d go back

When I brought my car in, Mark drove it and diagnosed the problem, taking me through what he looks for, step by step. I needed a new transmission. Jim took great care to explain everything and got my car back to me quickly. I had confidence in their work and their service was excellent! Id highly recommend them.

Howard was the best mechanic to work with and kept me up to date with my repairs. The only problem was that when the warranty company approved my repairs, they started working on my car a day after the approval, making the wait a little longer.

The staff here is fantastic and attentive. Mark helped coordinate getting my car from the side of the road to their shop, and their tow driver George got me and was extremely pleasant. Mark worked with me and the dealership to get my car sorted out, and Ill be taking my other vehicles there for any and all transmission work I will need for the rest of my time in Maryland. I would give them 6 stars if it were an option. Go there, you will not be disappointed.

Great price, horrible customer service. I dropped my truck off on a Friday and was told it would be ready Wednesday. Wednesday came and I was told it would be ready Thursday. Thursday came and I never even heard from them. Friday came and I called them and was told it may be ready later that day. Finally friday evening came and I was told it was ready and hour before they closed for the weekend.

My transmission got shot on 695 they came and pick my truck up for free and did my transmission in a day no we did have that big storm coming and they had it finished that evening Wednesday very happy dont want to go back but if I have any problems Ill go back very pleasant nice people to work with all that it did take my money
