This store is top notch. John is incredibly helpful and always friendly. He also thoroughly knows his merch. Best customer service of any outdoor apparel store in town. If they don’t have it, they will get it for you! No reason to go anywhere else.

Moosejaw is a great outdoors store. But their location is not ideal being downtown. Unfortunately, no one typically goes downtown to shop. Finding parking is terrible. And it has not helped that the city charges for parking pretty much everywhere. I went there this weekend and I was the only customer for quite a while. Looked around. No one came to check on me until I approached them. Its such a shame because it is a good store.My thoughts are the old Gander Mountain location on 28th St behind Sams Club would be an option.

Moose jaw is an outdoor store with a lot of selection. You can find things for camping, running, climbing, hiking, snow sports and more. This location is bigger than others but its expensive. I like the brand but not the price. Didnt really get much attention from staff.

Broke a spoke on my way home from work and stopped in for the first time. Super friendly and fixed it fast and right.

Went to just look around and kill some time because I’ve never been in this store ended up having a lengthy conversation with a knowledgeable retired teacher, who’s name escapes me, but was a wonderful guy to talk to and helped me find alternatives and coupons and the best ways to save money and even looked up price matches for me which resulted in me buying a new hiking backpack that I hadn’t considered which was cheaper than the one I had my eye on for awhile now. Great place, great staff. Thank you.

I love this store. And the company as a whole. But I was there on an anniversary of the store and it was Kevin Bacon themed. Someone stood outside—in a bacon costume—cooking bacon (with vegan options). It was marvelous. Also, everyone that works there is super friendly and knowledgable.

Great, deceptively large location in downtown Grand Rapids. They have a very wide selection that makes you feel as though youre shopping through their entire website. The staff are extremely helpful and well-informed. I went here to return an item I had purchased online for a different size. Even though they didnt have it in stock they ordered the replacement at no additional cost and it arrived at my front door the following day. Your go-to plays for outdoors gear in GR.

So I watched a gentleman sweeping the floor here on front street and looked at his face as i gave a tap on the door to get some information about my mountain bike, and he looked at me and walked away. No question about the need or anything. Very very rude and unprofessional. I would recommend going to a different store owned by someone who doesn’t look at you and walk away.

Stopped in for the first time today to check out...usually shop at Bill & Paul’s or out West. Needed a couple jackets. Spent 30-45 minutes in clear view of three staff members trying on a variety of options. Not once was I asked if I needed help, had questions, etc. Would’ve been nice as I did have questions and some of the items I wanted to try were hung at ceiling height. They were clearly not busy and seemed more interested in their phones than helping a customer who was there to buy. Unfortunate experience.

Stopped in here looking for a sports bra. They dont have a selection for well endowed ladies. They told me I could order something online but a 50$+ bra is definitely something I want to try on.Would be nice to see a wider variety of sizes .

I have shopped at Moosejaw for years. There has been an error or two that they have been great about fixing in the past. This time I sent a shirt back because it had a stain on it marking it damaged on the return slip. I then reordered the shirt a few days later and received the same stained shirt! I called to get things fixed and told them I was frustrated and just wanted my money back at this point. I was told the computers were down and the customer support took my name and number and said she’d call me back in 10 minutes. That was last week. I really got the feeling the representative didn’t want to deal with the situation.The customer service has gone downhill. I will stick to Patagonia and other companies who have excellent customer service from now on.

This is a great chain outdoor store. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable about outdoor gear. Theres also a wide selection of outdoor gear to choose from. You cant go wrong going to Moosejaw for your outdoor needs.

Nice store more for clothes than snowboards and ski. Staff seems to know what they talk about. If you call tho they will just try to pull you in to the store. No parking lot so have to look or pay for parking

I Love This Store. Free yoga on Saturdays, super friendly and fun employees, plus they have a ski and snowboard shop now, with tune-ups! The best place for your outdoors needs. Plus, keep an eye on their Facebook; sometimes they have events with free beer!

No reason to shop amazon when they have the same great prices. Its nice to know exactly what you are getting, and be able to see, feel, and wear before you buy. Sales staff was extremely helpful and knowlagable.

The clothes are fine but I was kinda sad to hear the staff talking bad about people wearing converse while hiking, like not everyone has a bunch of money to drop on shoes, plus not always necessary, seemed a bit elitist. Wasnt very welcoming

Went into the Grand Rapids, location and purchased a Thule cargo carrier and they price matched it to one I found online for a cheaper price. Plus the employee helped me carry it out and helped me get it on top of my Subaru. He told me how to attach it but couldnt actually tork it down for liability issues. I totally get that. I have made several purchases from this store and I love the idea of them price matching the same items you see online in their store. Saves me cash and gets me the gear I need. Its pretty neat. Staff is great and very helpful. When my Suunto watch stopped toggling between functions I brought it back to the store and they did the paperwork and sent it out and I received a call a few weeks later and the watch was replaced and I picked it up. Pretty good huh.

Its Moosejaw, whats not to love? In honesty, the staff was great and incredibly accommodating. It was a smaller store than I expected, but thats not a bad thing.

After a couple decades of making online gear purchases from EMS, Campmor, and REI, I switched to Moosejaw several years ago. Online selection is great and delivery is exceptionally fast. The GR store is nice. While the in-store stock is not as extensive as I sometimes wish, they are great about ordering things. For example, they ordered three tents for my wife and I to set up on their floor. The turn-around time was only a couple days. I also like the fact that if I purchase something mail order and need to return it, I can just do it at the store.The store has been a nice addition to the GR area for outdoor enthusiasts. I have nothing against the Outpost or Bill and Pauls; I appreciate having additional options.

Nice shop in a good location, its nice to have one in GR now. I used to go to the Moosejaw in East Lansing all the time so its great to see one downtown GR. They have quality products at pretty reasonable prices.

Nice workers, didnt have a jacket I wanted so they ordered it and only took 2 days to get in.

I like this place. Staff is great, but not nearly as great as REI not as knowledgeable but still great.I like going here and trying gear or learning more about new equipment on the market. And then Ill buy it with one of my prodeals online and save a ton.I make it up by telling friends and family to shop for gear at REI or Moosejaw.

I was disappointed at the lack of options for female hiking boots in the GR area, luckily Moosejaw had a pair in stock, in my size!! I was so happy, if it wasnt for Moosejaw i would have had to drive across the state to REI

They have scooters, plus the give out free beer on some Saturdays.Not to mention that a lot of their stuff is totally badass gear.

I drove 40 minutes to get to the store told the girl that was working there that I wanted to buy a pair shoes she disappeared I stood there waiting for about 10 minutes and left. she never returned. I will never go back there .

We visited Moosejaw looking for ski poles and unfortunately they did not carry them, but the employee was super friendly and we chatted for around 15 minutes about the good skiing in Michigan and Colorado.

Curious about this place so went in to shop...everything I looked at was made in China, Bangladesh and Vietnam...nothing I tried on was made in USA...VERY BIG DISAPPOINTMENT...will shop elsewhere
