Bought some old TVs 10$ each looked like they were from the 70s or 80s but hey they worked so no complaining just be aware that because they are closing out there is no returns!

Only sears in town until just now that its closing now. It was a decent place for customer service, friendly staff.

This Sears is average as fast as Sears stores go. The selection of merchandise is typical of their stores which includes clothing, appliances, and tools among other things. The tool selection is very good and I found some great deals there. Their clothing selection is pretty good but cosmetics are mediocre. Checkout process was quick and easy. Restrooms definitely need attention.

Havent been here much but they were very helpful on helping me find the bathroom.

I love that Sears is still holding on. Im pretty sure they only sell tools and refrigerators, and they have drivers training. But they outlasted Younkers so be proud of that Sears.

I can see why they are struggling. Not much product in the store and staff was pulling double- and triple-duty.

Customer service has improved by leaps and bounds and there are noticeable changes throughout the store. Ive given Sears five stars because Ive shopped there for years and still enjoy shopping there. There are a lot of great deals on items from clothes and shoes to appliances and tools.

Sad it was a going out of business sale. Long checkout lines and only two cashiers working.

Merchandising was clean and visually appealing with fair to low prices for well made goods. However, as in previous experiences inside Sears stores, it was eerily understaffed. No one around to ask for help, no one available to ring up a purchase.

They are going out of business so everything is on sale. Many of the items are from K-Mart...look at the tag before you purchase.

LOTS of empty shelf items, and missing common sizes in clothing. Associates were much more helpful than the last time I was in. Womens shoes sales associate was VERY helpful to my hard to fit wife, she is the reason I gave 3 instead of 2 stars. Sad to see the empty shelves.

This place has really gone down hill. Inventory is always low and almost no employees here to ever help you out. Almost gotta wander around the store for a half hour looking for a open register just to pay for my items to leave. Feel like i dont wanna shop here anymore and just stick to buying things online

Sorry to see this place go. I was there when it went up and to see it as it is now is sad.

Well they have lots of tools. They back what they sell but if you need a warranty replacement you will get a rebuilt tool which is fine if it works. Ive given up on them and go to Lowes now for Craftsman tools

They had some excellent after the holiday sales, the only reason I gave them four stars was just because the bathroom was not clean. I think Sears is known for having bathrooms that arent ever that clean though.

Place looked dark and not being kept up. Several empty shelves. Employee not having knowledge of questions asked. Had to look up everything on the internet. I could have done this myself and purchased online ... Looks like another store closing ☹️

Dosent have much because its closing

I called on phone because they had a refrigerator in stock that a local competitor told me it would take a few weeks to get. Even though they have a price match policy, I was told they are not matching appliance prices due to Covid and low refrigerator inventory. I brought the same competitor quote to Home Depot and even though they were not excited and said they lost money on the sale, they lived up to their policy!

So long to Sears. Going out of business.

Couldnt tell whether they were going out of business for good or trying to have a sale. Easier than expected to find staff to answer a question, though.

Maybe its the holiday customers, but the sales staff is pretty grumpy. Picked up a package in merchandise pickup and Ryan the guy that helped me was great so he helped get the three stars I gave.

It has been a while, but it was a good time at Sears, our Sears closed two or three years ago, wishing they were still here muskegon

Ordered a laptop from there online store and never received the laptop. They said they sell thru a third party and that I have to wait to get my refund until the third party contacts me or sends me the laptop? It’s been over a week and no laptop and still no contact or refund from sears. My next step is the better business bureau and maybe they can help. I will never use sears again and would recommend that no one else should either. They will go out of business at some point in time but not before customers loose money.

The store seemed orderly enough and merchandise was attractively displayed, however, there were very few salespeople and cashiers - hard to find, considering this busy time of year - and the cashier was extremely slow. And when she called for a managers help, the manager called rather than seeing to the problem in person which might have sped things up. One person was waiting in line just to ask a question because he couldnt find anyone else, but the cashier took ten minutes to ring up ONE PERSON ahead of us! Maybe managers should be checking on these things, and if the manager was busy with something more urgent, then I guess they need to hire more managers. Smh

Nice store but there was little to no traffic on a Saturday.

Rediculous. Poor service, low stock, high prices. Craftsman is not what it used to be. Appliance purchase was a joke. Took 2 weeks to get the washer, arrived broke, took 2 more weeks to gwt new one. Company did not care. Wish it was better.

I decided to get a new lawn tractor, so I went by Sears to check out what they offered. The Employee Jeffery was very helpful, explained the different options, and pricing. He also made sure we were aware of all specials current and up coming. I ordered a tractor. It was 3 weeks out on back order. A week later, I changed my mind and decided I wanted to upgrade to the Garden series. They went way out of their way to make sure I got the tractor I wanted, with the discounts they promised me a week earlier, and they even had the one I wanted in stock. I took it home that night! Great guys in the lawn and garden section. Will definitely go back for any other needs.

Went here yesterday for the first time in forever... reminded exactly why I dont shop here. Only like 2 cashiers in the entire store moving SO slow and lines long... Its during the weekend. You would think management would know how to have enough coverage for the weekend. Ended up just putting what we wanted back and left. Not worth it. Wont be back.

The store looks great and so do the deals. thats why Sears has long lines. please be patient as management is working hard to hire . customer service is there goal and now pays more to employees hire the best to help move customers threw the check out as fast as possible

Its 4:30pm and Im trying to call and talk to someone about an order Im trying to pickup and NONE of the departments are picking up their phones. Except Optical and theyre not even technically Sears. Theres not even a voicemail to leave a message, Im just clicking through prompts and then the auto-menu hangs up on me when the department phone doesnt answer. sweet. thanks guys.

Coming here is really sad. The employees appear to be trying their best to maintain this place but the lack of merchandise and terribly neglected structure and fixtures are too much for the sheer will of these hard working folks to overcome. I feel bad for the workers but poor corporate management and failure to change with the times was the downfall of Sears.

Im giving it a 3 since i did not have a good experience nor a bad experience as all i did was walk through the store and browse. I will say it felt depressing being in there, i cant really explain it. The store also had a musty smell to it and there was hardly anybody in there.

Dont know why they havent picked up in business. Better quality than a year ago.

Greatly laid out, the only problem I have is that they dont have enough checking out booths.

I dont shop much. When I do I like to buy online and pick up. Sears offers that service. Tools, bedding,, Glasses, Shoes, appliances I buy from Sears. I hope they can stay in business. I already miss their Automotive building that closed in 2017. Rivertown Sears. Also, I exchanged a Craftsman Ratchet and it took 10 seconds. Here you go the salesman said. The one I got was like new..the one I traded in was worn out and beat up.

On Sundays and Mondays the lady that works appliances is the best ever so go see her

Had to use the restroom and out of all 3 stalls there was no toilet paper what so ever. Bathroom was trashed. Was looking to tell someone but no was around. I now understand why sears is going out of business.

My daughter bought some boots that were on clearance for $14.99 and she went to pay by the door we came in at which was the tool section and they did not ring up that price they rang up 5 bucks more and Harrison could not be bothered to call and check on the price. We were the only ones in line.

Absolutely awful customer service from Sears. We ordered a dishwasher from this store. Either, it broke on its 2nd run-through, or it was faulty from the getgo. Either way, we chose to return it instead of fix it. After we had it hauled away, it took a record number of phone calls, emails, and even in-person visits to get Sears to credit us for the amount we paid. No one ever apologized. No one ever took responsibility for the poor quality. Everyone just passed the buck. We finally have our money back (two months later), but well never use this Sears, or ANY Sears for that matter, again.

Called multiple times but no answer and no call back when leaving a message. Seems they have had a phone problem for over a year now. Was going to place an online order for this store but ended up placing the order with the Ionia store due to the phone issue.

No one answers the phone. I called 4 times and each time it ended with a fast busy signal so I had to hang up. One time I got voicemail and left a message no one ever called me back. What horrible customer service. I find it painfully hard to believe they were so busy, a Tuesday morning before 11am in February, that there wasnt one person available to answer the phone. WOW!

Dirty and getting low on product

The sales clerk got a small amount of ink on the jacket when she was taking the tag off, and she offered me a 10% discount to make up for the small ink stain. It was the only one of that kind in my size. Im disappointed, because Im not getting it, and she wouldnt offer me a better discount. EDIT: Sitting in the parking lot, I was still disappointed about missing out on buying the jacket I liked, so I called the manager and he helped me out! Leaving happy!

Getting a tool replaced under warranty. They sent the wrong one in the mail so I brought it back to the store and they acted like I was stupid. Still have the wrong replacement. I see why there going bankrupt now... I guess I have to go to Lowes for all my Craftsman needs and replacement.

Good products little help not enough people visiting store good appliance pricing

Was told by a manager that he wouldnt honor a price in the tool catalogue and Id have to pay in store price a few years back. I pointed out that the price didnt denote as tool catalogue only (as some things are actually tool catalogue only). He told me to bad, to which I replied Well then I guess you dont want my business and tossed the catalogue onto the other side of the counter. He quickly replied We dont need your business. Bancruptcy huh..... stores closing..... wonder how many other peoples business they dont need...

I am very unimpressed with their customer service. I had made a jewelry purchase a while back and recently brought it to be fixed because it broke. I was told it would take a max of three weeks to be fixed. It has been over a month and for the past two weeks I have tried to reach someone in their department and conveniently the person I need to speak to is never there. I have left voicemails and people have taken messages for that person and yet I have never heard back from anyone. I ended up having to call a different department to get connected to someone in the jewelry department. 10/10 would never recommend

I was treated so very rudely by the worker in Lands End I will not return to Rivertown Malls Sears Store. Big mistake by having them in the store because my family who dropped a nice chunk of change in there year round experienced the same thing with the same woman. Im saddened over this because I loved shopping sears. But Im guessing JC Penny will now get our $$$ very happily.

First cashier was rude, very snarky, didnt offer to put item in a bag, literally tossed it on the counter at us. Second cashier was slower than molasses and just jumbled up clothes on the hangers into the bag, 3 shirts and 2 bathrobes. Im not surprised theyre going out of business.
