This was my first experience at Carolina Car care. I went here based solely on the reviews I read on Google and I was NOT disappointed. I have never been so impressed with a car shop ever from the time of drop off until the time of pick up. They go above and beyond. I plan to use Carolina car care again and would recommend them to anyone that wants a good HONEST trustworthy mechanic.

David was very helpful! He got me a rental car cheaper than my insurance could, gave me a ride there too! He had an estimate when he said he would, and when it turned out that wasnt all it needed, he went out of his way to make it right. Including coming on on his Sunday off to get me my car early!

Garage that excels at communicating, timetables, and customer service. Excellent management and capable technicians. Cant recommend them enough

Went in January for a tune up because I noticed my check engine light was on. Guy with a Volkswagen just like me told me he would tell me everything wrong with my car to get it fixed. I got almost everything fixed totaling around $1600. Today I went to see why my check engine light was still on and figure out it was a cylinder 4 misfire which I don’t understand because I got my sparks plugs fixed here. When I called to ask why it was like that lady on the phone suggested spark plug wires or ignition coil but when the service was being done how could they not have noticed something like that and reported it to me in order to get it fixed and now it costs $158 to see why the light is even on and just that itself??? They take your money with no remorse and fix everything except what needs to be actually fixed.

We took our vehicle here twice. Once for something in the thousand dollar range and once for an oil change. The moment they saw our out-of-state tags, I guess they thought it was wise to upsell. I dont know much about being a car mechanic, so the pictures they shared did not help me much. During the basic oil change, they told me we had a minor issue we should take care of somewhat soon. The issue was going to cost $2000 dollars! A family friend in the area mentioned a guy who he has used for years if not decades. We had the recommended mechanic look it over, and he informed us that this issue was not even a little urgent and didnt need to be addressed for another 90k miles! He charged us $35 for an oil change and some anti-freeze plus his time to look over the suspected issue. I am so glad we got a second opinion. Needless to say, we wont be back to Carolina Car Care and we wont be recommending it either. My advice? Get a second opinion.

I have been coming to this shop for a number of years, and I have never been disappointed. They have always done excellent work and advised me in all automobile matters. I am especially impressed with the manner in which Jason treats the customers. In all the time that I have spent in their waiting room, I have only heard Jason (and the others) treat people with respect. He has always explained and discussed issues with me. I have never felt pressured and have always been extremely comfortable here. Jason makes sure of that. As the first person that customers will often talk with, he is top notch and a very important asset to the company. Thank you to Jason and all the crew!

David was extremely responsive to my requests, which were very specific to making sure my car was ready for a track day event at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Will, the person who looked over my car and made a repair to the braking system, was thorough and understanding. I couldnt think of a more helpful or professional group of people to ensure my safety at the track than CCC. Just to show you how thoughtful they were, they went WAY out of their way to find me some high quality brake fluid at our local Ferrari/Lambo/Porsche dealership when they could not get anything worthwhile from their network of suppliers. Customer service second to none!

They did not perform the Inspection correctly. They pointed out an issue that don’t even interfere with passing of an inspection. Took it to the dealership right after leaving this silly place and IT PASSED with flying colors. They just wanted to take my money and pay for repairs that we didn’t need. DO NOT GO HERE!

I brought in my car which was making a scraping noise and I was afraid to drive it. They inspected the car and correctly diagnosed the problem and didnt even charge me for it! Now I can drive the car without worry. Excellent service and very professional. They have excellent communication through technology to let you know what is wrong with your car and they charge a fair price for the work they do. Highly recommended!

I understand there’s a fine line between running a business & getting people back on the road safely, rather than plainly trying to rip people off by “recommending” or even outright telling you something is failing when it’s not, or really anything else they know isn’t actually needed. ALWAYS GET A SECOND OPINION/DIAGNOSIS!*Also, read the owners replies to some of the other 1-star reviews & you can just tell the lack of character or values these guys have. They act so nice but lie through their teeth!

Great customer service. Decent pricing however I just left and I feel played. I was told by an employee that my walk out cost would be 221.42 and I walked out paying 350 dollars. I really didnt have an extra 100 dollars to be paying as I am in college. I understand things cost but I wish they communicated better and told my actual cost. Maybe he forgot to include the cost to add in new fluid to my cooling system. Im not quite sure but it really sucks not being able to buy food this month.

Took my car in the other day for a routine service and was not disappointed! Everyone I met was courteous, professional, and went out of their way to take care of me. Will be back, thank you!

In spite of current CoVic 19 and other real world dramas, my beloved Miata received the usual great service and attention. Ive been to a few car places in town and out of state and this is the only repair shop that got me right. Im a young female that knows nothing about cars and usually get ripped off but Mitch was helpful and honest :) they also helped me get a bee out of my car lol .. Id definitely recommend this place.

I work for GO Green Plumbing. I needed a quick oil change and some check engine lights looked at but didnt have time to wait a day for my service truck to sit around a shop I had service calls to get to and work to get done. I called Honest 1 auto and they were quick and prompt straight to the point had me in and out in less than an hour. No problems no questions asked. David was very descriptive with what they did. Thanks Carolina car care reminder email to write a review. I am glad that you guys have changed the name from Honest Car Care to this one. I went to this place for state inspection. My inspection was failed due to two reasons: (1) Taillight assembly had a small hole and white light was coming out (2) The parking brakes needed to be cleaned. The taillight assembly was minor and had been passed in last two inspection. I consulted another auto mechanic (not gonna say who specifically) about this and he said it wasnt something that hed fail. Anyways, I asked for the price quote and they gave me an estimate of $362.00 for which I asked for some cheaper alternative and they did not have any. later I fixed it for $36.81 after buying it online and fix was pretty easy and quick with just one wrench. I can understand there might be quality difference and labor charges but 90% more of what you can fix by yourself? About the problem of parking brakes, they cleaned it and failed the inspection second time saying the brakes are worn out and needs to be replaced which would cost $780.56 (including $20 brake fluid charges which they will use). I did not get it done there (apart from the reason that I could not afford) and took it to a mechanic in High Point (again, not gonna say specifically). The High Point guy not only replaced the parking brakes but the regular ones too (brake fluid and minor things were free there) after getting it from AutoZone in front of me and charged $325.00 including state inspection.In short, If I got everything done at Carolina Car Care, Id have spent a total of 1244.43 (amount I paid + estimates of deferred work) which I got done for 361.81. So, DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE IF YOU DONT WANNA GET RIPPED OFF AND PAY A LOT.But everything is not bad here - They are responsible people so ask you to sign liability form which literally says they told you about the problem and in case you die they are not liable at all. Also, you get student discount if you are UNCG student so go, get ripped off and appreciate the discount! Amen.

I discovered Carolina Car Care quite a few years ago, back when they were known as Honest 1 Car Care. Although the name has changed, the quality of car care has not. They are still as good as they were before; they do a good job the first time, and at a reasonable price. Check them out for yourself!

They were very flexible with my appointment time. Inspected my vehicle and notified me promptly that it was ready. I love these guys.Update for 5/4/16. Just had my annual NC inspection and had brakes checked. Good for another year. Could not be nicer or more professional. They earn their name every visit.

I needed to get a full point inspection in order to pay registration for my vehicle. This is my very first car, and I am admittedly naïve to what is needed to maintain it. The guys at the Spring Garden location were beyond helpful! After receiving a mailer containing promotional coupons, I called to schedule an oil change, tire rotation, and inspection. I had to schedule during my lunch break as they are closed on weekends. I received shuttle service back to my job while they worked on my car, I was picked up by the shuttle after work was completed, and the price I paid was phenomenal (at least 50-100 dollars cheaper than I was quoted anywhere else)!!! All of the employees were extremely kind and helpful. The facility is clean and full of amenities, and the services were actually completed within an hour!! I will definitely be calling Honest 1 first as additional maintenance for my car is needed!!!!

I have been a returning customer for 2 years, who they continue to take advantage and over charge me every time. I knew they would over charge but the convenience of the location for me being in college helped me out tremendously. But I will never go back there again. I dropped my car off this past week, I had specific instructions on what needed to be done to my car and told the man at the front desk. I had a back left tail light out that needed a new bulb (easy fix right, just pop a new one in) but that was never the case. I pick up my car about 3 hours later with a bill of about $700, for an oil change, inspection, light bulb and power steering fix. They charged me 5 hours and over $500 in labor for 3 hours of work. I understand mechanics make money while working ahead and being efficient. But if you’re going to charge over $500 of labor. You would think your car would be fixed right??? No. They charged me for 3 bulbs they never put in. My tail light was still out when I picked it up and had to come back the next day at 8am to confront them about it. Of course they just act like it was a bad bulb or something. I know they never replaced it and definitely didn’t replace “3” other bulbs. And this isn’t the first time they’ve said they fixed something and it still doesn’t work. I’m starting to think about all the things I have paid for over the years that never got done to my car.It’s just sad to have a company you’ve been going to for years now continue to screw you over and take hundreds of dollars from you. Again, I used them for the convenience factor in my personal situation but I would recommend no one go there. They take advantage of you and charge outrageous prices for stuff they don’t even do. It’s just a poorly ran business with terrible customer loyalty.

Never left a review but these guys earned it! 5 stars across the board! The team there is awesome. They went above and beyond to repair my car after it was basically totaled. They worked with me from start to finish and made sure to keep updated on a daily basis. Dont hesitate to think twice about choosing Them! Thank you guys

Pretty sure I got my oil changed here once and they didnt even do it. It was just as black as it was before, after I left when I checked it. Not going back.* Reply to the owner: its funny you say I have no record of ever going there. I remember they asked for my email, so they could email me the receipt. And I never ended up getting an email. Which made me think they just swiped my card, then it changed the oil, and had no record. But I was definitely there.

A bit expensive, although I received a coupon in the mail(use it if you have one). Quality customer service, timely and great information after getting my car back. They sent me a link to see photos and information about how parts of my car were holding up.

Jason and crew were amazing! Had to take my car in twice in a short span of time for unrelated issues. They were quick, efficient, and the price was extremely fair. Ill definitely be using them for all of my future needs.

Took my car in for an inspection, and they told me I did not pass. They offered a quote to fix the problems and it was way too expensive. I told them that I did not have that kind of money they offered me a loan, and when I said absolutely no to that they offered to sell me a credit card! I fixed the problems myself for about $30 and took it elsewhere for inspection.

I brought my car to them yesterday 10/20 to get a comprehensive workup on my car. I left it with them for about an hour and a half. They messaged me with the report and I came after class to get an estimate on the repairs. I was fine with the amount they quoted but was not able to leave my car with them because I have work and classes and have to plan a free day to leave my car. Later that night after getting out of my night class, I get in my car to drive home and the headlights, dash lights, gear shift lights are all not working. I dont particularly believe in coincidences, seeing as how I have never had an issue with the electrical system of my car before until the day I take it to them. I am not going to say they tampered with my car so that I could bring it back, but you can connect the dots for yourself. Other 1-star reviews up here mention the same kind of foul play. Also, I came in today to ask the guy working at the front desk if the mechanic can explain to me the process of how he checked the car for any damages. The guy at the front desk took it upon himself to explain it to me but very vaguely. He then said that I could leave my car with him to look at the problem. If he thought I was going to let them touch my car after what happened with my electrical system they are sadly mistaking. Now in addition to the other repairs I have to pay for, I have to pay to fix the headlights, dash lights etc. I will be reporting this to the BBB. I dont care to read a managers comments to this post about how it is somehow my fault like he has done on other negative reviews. It cant be everyone elses fault who believes yall are running a dishonest business.

My daughter is a college student & took her car here to have it looked at in early march. Being that we are 2 hrs. away from her I now know they were going to take advantage of us.... thinking we would say go ahead and fix it and bill us for the 976.00 we were quoted. We were sent an email on what the repairs would be....said we needed brakes, rotors & a possible master cylinder. My daughter was told she should not even drive it off their parking lot because the brakes were completely shredded. We found someone else for a second opinion...turns out her brakes and rotors were completely fine and the only problem was that there was a lot of air in the brake line. Paid 35.00 to bleed the brakes elsewhere ...problem solved. Almost a month ago... and still working great. What a shame that someone would take people over like this. BEWARE!! Always get a second opinion. I feel positive had i paid them it would have turned out that she needed a master cylinder too. Even if her car had needed all of that... $976.00 is ridiculous!!

Why is it surprising when the mechanics listen to your concerns, repair only what is necessary and dont over charge you? It has been a great experience dealing with Erik and the guys at Honest 1. I went in expecting to drop about $400-500 only to be told I did not need new brakes and rotors like I thought. What a pleasant surprise! I highly recommend these guys. Thanks Erik!

I have been taking my car to Honest-1 for several years, and have been nothing but extremely pleased! They have always treated me fairly, politely, and, as their name implies, honestly. It is a comfortable experience in all aspects. When I have an issue, I immediately know that when I get to Honest-1, the guys will take care of things for me in a professional and very capable manor. I fell like I am turning my car over to a friend or family member who only has my best interest and safety at heart. I went for an inspection for my registration renewal last year. They told me that my taillights needed to be replaced and quoted a few hundred dollars for the parts and labor. When I said I couldnt afford that they tried to sell me a LOAN and a CREDIT CARD. I bought the tail lights myself for about $50 and put it together in a few minutes. Got my inspection done elsewhere.

My experience at H1-Auto is always the best. I highly recommend them to those who value good service and quality work. The guys at H1 auto where very considerate about my car troubles...they completed the repairs and gave me (with my purchase) warranty on the items replaced. I dropped my car off, because they said they specialize in Nissans. I was told it was one issue, then told it was another issue. They ended up towing the car to the dealership. The dealership found the issue immediately. They had my car for 4 weeks. I had to call them to get an update only to hear a different issue, but when I get the bill, there was nothing showing what was said over the phone. Next time, Ill just take the car to the dealership

If I could give them a worse review/rating I would. Whatever you do don’t take your car here for inspection because it will fail for some reason so that they can con you into paying some enormous repair bill. They suggested I pay $1000 to get my car fixed (whose value is no more than $1500) and after taking my car to another mechanic they explained that technically they should not be allowed to fail my cars inspection for the reason they did. While in the lobby I overheard them doing the same thing to another costumer (also a UNCG student). Clearly I should have read the reviews before taking my car here and I hope you will do the same. Big waste of time and money for a company clearly full of crooks.

I went here to get two lights replaced and then a possible inspection. I was told I did not pass inspection for other reasons related to my car then I was charged for the inspection that I did not pass. Other places I have gone to never charge if you dont pass so I definitely wont be going back here. To make matters worse the mechanic completely disregarded the fact that I asked for my lights to be replaced. Two stars because the waiting area was clean and the man at the front desk was friendly. I wont be going back here though I left literally in the same circumstance that I came with.

I had the best experience at Honest-1 Auto Care this morning! I had been telling Erik I would bring my car in for about a month now. Then I started hearing a grinding noise when I applied the brakes and figured it was time. Erik told me everything that needed to be repaired (which I was surprised wasnt as bad as I thought) and advised me of the priorities. Cleveland (a Toyota man) worked on my car and did a great job. They are a few more things that I need to have done and I will definitely take my car back to Honest1! My Camry is 13 years old and I have now found the guys to take care of it for me. Great place! I brought my car in on a whim rather than take it to the shop I would usually use and I will have to say that I will now always come back to Honest-1. Dave was super helpful and took my car in without an appointment as long as I could leave it for them to work it in. The service was top notch with very good communication back and forth about my options and no work was started until we decided which way to go with the repairs that might be needed. All in all, it was a great experience!

Great service on every level. I was informed of the process, recontacted and told clearly what repairs needed, why they were needed and the projected time and cost. The repairs were then done in the stated time frame and cost was as stated. I couldnt ask for a better service experience. These guys are my new go-to!

They were gonna charge me 600 dollars to change my radiator fan. either they were not start forward with me or they are too expensive.

Everything was great! They knew that my dad scheduled the appointment, so they were very helpful in not trying to explain everything that was happening to me. They told me the email could be forwarded to my dad. There was no rip-off, and they simply just told me what was wrong without fudging somethings just to get me to buy stuff. It did take about 45 minutes longer than I thought it would, but other than that it was fine. Also, I would pack headphones, because the play area for kids is right next to the waiting area so it did get really noisy. The waiting area is super nice though, and I got some homework done at a desk.

Went in to get an inspection and its clean sanitary. Very nice folks, very professional, and I plan to come back again.

Very positive, easy, comfortable experience. I had two warning lights on and needed a diagnostic. Running the codes and giving me their initial feedback was free - investigating it further was $98/hr and I was made well aware of this prior. I told them that I could afford 30 minutes of further investigation for them to try to figure out what was going on and thats what I got (in fact, I think I got a bit more). They investigated thoroughly and were able to discuss articulately what the likely diagnosis was - but also mentioned that I didnt need immediate service. There was *no* pressure to replace parts, have work done urgently or make a decision ASAP - In other words, I wasnt made to feel like getting my money was their priority! In fact, they suggested that I get my tires replaced first (and elsewhere!) and not worry about the repair for the moment. I felt like they genuinely had both my cars and my wallets best interest in mind and that was great. I wish more businesses operated this way.

The team at Honest-1 were great to work with! Aside from my normal vehicle maintenance, I took my car in for a minor issue I had while out driving and not only did they get me in right away, they made sure I drove home safely. I know I can count on them to keep my car in good working order.

A former teacher recommended Honest-1 Auto Care to my son for car repairs. After being thoroughly dissatisfied with other nearby shops, we checked Honest-1 out. First, they found and repaired a fuel pump issue that the dealer (who sold the car) said they had repaired. This fix cost us around $80. We checked three other shops. The lowest price was $115. Plus Honest-1 reinforced the pump connector so it wouldnt come loose sop easily.Fast forward to last weekend. My son is about to return to college (about 100 miles away) and the car just turns off. The symptoms were nearly the same for the fuel pump issue. So we have the car towed to a nearby shop who wanted to charge $350+ to repair the fuel pump, tune it up, etc.Instead, we towed it to Honest-1. They determined that the fuel pump (OEM - not aftermarket like the other shop wanted to replace it with) was fine. It was the crankshaft sensor and a bad battery. As a courtesy, they checked out the fuel pump and its connector to make sure they were OK. Additionally, they replaced his taillight bulb at no charge. My son ended up paying about $190 and we have peace of mind that the car will not leave him stranded.Peace of mind is what we all need from our auto repair shop, right? We need to be confident that they fix what needs to be fixed, have the foresight to see what will need to be fixed, and their pricing is fair. As cars have become computers on wheels, it is increasingly difficult to self-diagnose issues and repair them completely. Honest-1 has worked on my car, my wifes car, my sons, and two friends. All are extremely satisfied with the work and price. Honest-1 has my confidence that they will not price gouge or find unnecessary repairs. Moreover, they always have the car ready when they say it will be ready. If you need honest work, fast service at a good price, you should definitely check out Honest-1.

I went in for a NC State inspection with no appointment and I was in and out in 20 minutes. They even sterilized my key before handing it back to me.

Honest-1 has been reliable each time Ive gone for any maintenance. Always have an available time slot that works with my schedule, and make it convenient to drop off your car on a Friday night for a Saturday inspection.Very helpful with explaining whats going on with your car, even when you arent the most knowledgeable about cars.Highly recommended!

There is nothing about this place HONEST... I took my car there for broken ball joint in July which a lot of other repairs with 4 brand new tires that came up to 2100$ when I picked my car up my brand new tires didn’t have the caps to hold the air in on all 4 tires and on one tire the lug was completely missing, they said I never had one in the first place FIRST lie, my steering wheel was still clicking when I turned my wheel and they said they didn’t know what that was SECOND lie, so about a month later I took it back because of a creaking noise and and the same clicking they said they didn’t remember the clicking THIRD lie and that it was a rack and pinion and struts which they said would be a 1600$ fix, after I told them is was my lower ball joint 1 week later my lower ball joint failed with my children in the car on the side of the road, thank god we where safe, long story short they are money hungry and not HONEST at all, my kids where put in danger without a care, they seem nice and caring at first but it’s just to get your money GET a second opinion DO NOT take your car here.the first time I went for break pad awhile back NO issues maybe it is under new management.... but I warn you they are NOT honest don’t let the name fool you......I don’t normally write reviews but people should know

Not only did they explain everything in detail and answer all of my questions they also told me some things that dont need attention right away but will need repair in the next few months with a price estimate so it wont be a surprise later on. Honest-1 has been my go-to mechanic for the past 3 years. The staff are fantastic and really great to work with. Theyre never pushy or try to get you to spend more than you need to. Everythings pretty reasonably priced. They take really good care of their customers and offer all kinds of coupons and vouchers just for being a loyal customer. Theyre also great about letting you know when your car is due in for routine maintenance. Cant say enough nice things about these guys!

Erik was wonderful. Time was taken to explain what was going on with my car. I felt confident that my needs would be met correctly without any extra charges that werent really needed. I was very satisfied with the quality of the work that was done at a fair price and the quality of the people that work at Honest-1.

The staff was so friendly they were great at getting me in and out. My state inspection was done in no time. The staff worker Demetrius done my inspection and he was very courteous in telling me how my car almost didn’t pass and that I needed to get new break pads because they’re getting to where they need them

My experience at Honest 1 has been fabulous. I called completely out of the blue one day and although they had a full schedule, Dave was able to squeeze me in without hesitation. Upon a procedure that was supposed to be routine- an issue with my car was discovered. Honest 1 didnt even hesitate to come up with an alternate short term fix until I could come back and leave my car with them. Honest 1 took the time to explain everything to me, and answer all my questions. As a college student, finding a place thats flexible and patient is rare; Im extremely happy with Honest 1, and would highly suggest them to take care of any car situation.

My first visit was today. I really enjoyed their customer service. I had heard good things but was really impressed. My visit was made easier with the fun, clean kids play area and I had a nice cup of coffee while they inspected my vehicle. We will definitely be coming back.

Used to be a great and fair place to take your vehicle and get serviced. Seems to have taken a dive about a year ago upping prices and becoming not so honest in pricing and evaluations of issues. I always recommend second opinions when It comes to mechanic and automotive work but I really encourage it after a quote from here.

New customer. I was very impressed. This place is awesome! I found a discount coupon online for my NC inspection, however, I think I have found a new auto care. Very friendly staff, fast service, very clean waiting area and they even have a play area for parents that bring their children with them.

Crooks preying on UNCG children.They wanted to charge me $1500...took to West Lee St autos and only paid $30.I brought my car in for a state inspection two years in a row. Both times I was initially positioned a moderate repair as part of your inspection. But it was a con.A repair? Ok, fine, the car has 100,000 miles. They also position that they have suggested repairs needed soon to make it appear they are not pushing these repairs on you.Both years after doing the moderate repair they position as part of an inspection they say that there is another repair they found that needs to be done or you wont pass state inspection. It is confusing because they find something to repair and position is as part of your state inspection.The tact they use is to address any other tasks like an oil change first, then they do their 50 point inspection but position it like it is your NC inspection you came in for. They will do the NC inspection last and then try and gouge you for more repairs after you paid for an unexpected repair that they tell you is for you inspection not clarifying that it has nothing to do with your NC inspectionI normally test a repair facility, by removing the fuse for my horn, to see how thorough they are. They failed the test and wanted to charge me hundreds to diagnose a missing fuse. I should have known then not to go the second year. But thought after addressing them the first time they would know better, they knew better but I didnt.Lots of good mechanics on Lee St/High Point BLVD...go to one of them.These guys play a very common game, and are crooks.

This place and the people that work there really are the best. From the first time I used them, because of the close proximity to UNCG, I knew I had found a reliable place to take my cars. More importantly, I felt that these were people I could trust. Theyve done all kinds of work for me and have always done a great job, often going out of their way to give me the best price possible. When the person checking you out, in this instance it was Dave, gives you a coupon discount without you even knowing about said coupon, you know youre in a well run establishment.

Excellent service. Staff very courteous and knowledgeable. Have found a new home for my cars maintenance and service for problems. On time and very nice waiting room. All you fellow UNCG people need to look at this place. Right at our front door and awesome. Im glad I brought my car here.

Honest 1 Auto Care has been great to the small Non Profit that I work for. They have taken the time to explain any needed repairs in depth and with great patience. We have 4 mini vans that we need to keep on the road and I am very satisfied with the front of the house as well as the work from the mechanics. We will continue to use Honest 1!

Very positive experience. I took my vehicle in for routine maintenance and could not be more pleased. First and foremost, I appreciate the fact that they respected and valued my time and honored the appointment. Cant say that about the dealership, where I make an appointment and wait 45+ minutes before they even get to my car--I grew tired of their excuses and poor customer service and tired Honest 1 based on a coworkers experience. Second, the waiting area and wifi are great. I brought work with me while I waited. FRESH coffee and water available, not coffee that was left over from the night before. finally, the follow-up was a pleasant surprise--they really want to make sure you are satisfied with the work they did--unlike the dealership. I have found my new go-to place for all my vehicle needs. Thanks team!

Definitely agree with the numerous other people who complained about upcharging. I took my car here for an inspection. I get the impression they were definitely looking for things wrong that they could hold my car hostage for. When I showed up my car was on a lift (usually NOT standard practice for state inspection). Admittedly, my car did have exhaust system damage, but the nearly $800 they wanted to charge me for a rear exhaust pipe and muffler is simply highway robbery. Thats a 250 to $300 repair at just about any other shop. Moreover, they failed me on brakes when I have hundreds of dollars in receipts in my glovebox that indicates my brakes have been serviced by a specialist for my make and model car in recent months. They clearly just wanted to shake me down for nearly a thousand dollars on a simple inspection. I could see failing my car, but their prices are astronomical. They probably expected to pull the wool over my eyes. Stay away from this place.

I LOVE HONEST AUTO CARE!! This establishment definitely lives up to its name! As a young woman I am always anxious when it comes to auto repair shops because not everyone is honest, but Dave walked me out the repair shop so I could visually understand the repairs I would need. Being that I am not a mechanic, I was really impressed that he would take the time to do that because I am not well versed in car lingo. He also did not overwhelm me with several different issues, he only discussed what was detrimental to the repairs I requested and then invited me back if I were to need other parts inspected.Lastly, I also loved the waiting area, I did not feel like I was waiting in the typical stuffy auto repair shop! It was very clean and comfortable!I will definitely only come here exclusively and if I am out of town, I will search for the same company! I am very pleased to know that honest auto care companies still exist!

Ive had all three of my cars into Honest 1 in Greensboro over the last year and they rock! From a simple oil change to fixing a electric window in one car to running down a tricky check engine light, theyve shined each time. They take the time to explain things and make sure youre comfortable with what theyre doing. And Ive shopped a couple of tasks around and their prices are always comparable with other shops.Ask for Dave or Erik!

Fantastic place. The owner is great and they spend a lot of time explaining exactly whats wrong with your vehicle and theyre honest! They dont try to pull extra money out of you, theyre a great place to get your car fixed quickly and easily.

We have all had good inspections and oil changes here but the other day takes the cake. Our son had an appointment for an inspection and I took it earlier in the day to get some gas. I knew immediately that something was wrong. The steering was so loose I kept swerving to the middle of the road. He didnt think it was so bad. Sure enough, guess what was found to be wrong? They were right on the money and we didnt even tell them. They even gave us a student discount and we used a coupon. With two kids going back to college, that was a blessing. Thanks for taking care of all of our vehicles.

We used Honest-1 for the first time because they had a great Groupon for 50% off Emissions Inspection. They were so great to us that we went back again. And again. And again! It is so hard to find a full-service place like this that has competitive pricing and quick turnaround on service.Last week we took our Toyota in for its 90K service -- instead of just replacing everything that was recommended, they took the time to check the parts and then called me to let me know that some of the items didnt need to be replaced. How often does that happen? At other places, I would just get charged for new parts that I didnt need. Honest-1 has earned our business and we wont take our cars anywhere else from now on! Love the guys at Honest-1!

By far one of the best experiences I’ve ever had at any auto shop! They definitely live up to their name “honest auto”. Quick and friendly service! I will be back and reccomend anyone to give them a chance!

Let me preface this by saying I rarely spend the time to write reviews, let alone 1 star reviews, but the obvious attempt at an unnecessary money grab for about $80 (new wipers+another inspection) made me feel obligated.I scheduled my NC state inspection few days in advance for first thing Monday (8) morning before work. I arrive right at eight, only to be told the mechanic doesnt arrive until 8:30 am. A little after 9 I receive a call telling me that my car has failed because of deteriorating wipers and the tint is too dark on my front windows.The wipers work properly, especially with the Rainx I regularly apply, and show no sign of aging. My thought here is they wanted to pocket the $60 or so for new blades and instillation.I took my car here last year to have the inspection done and my window tint passed. I was told by Jason, the GM, that window tint becomes darker over time. After I asked him how he had the audacity to respond with I dont actually know, but it does. Google why that might happen so you at least can try back up the nonsense youre telling your customers. (I was unsuccessful at finding any information on window tint becoming darker over time.)The whole concept of a state inspection is ridiculous for new vehicles, which I dont blame Carolina Car Care for. What is frustrating is when businesses try to take advantage of people/ waste their time and money. I would rather just pay some kind of tax than have to deal with any mechanic shop.I took my car, literally two miles down the street, the following day and my car passed the inspection...

They are very Friendly, Professional, Quick and Reliable, Prices are Good, Place is neat and clean with kids play area, something you dont see everywhere.Its the rare combination of clever people, technically sound, clean and nice environment, Friendly and most of all, with Fair Price.I would prefer this shop always.

Only went in for a state inspection so I cant comment on mechanical work but with a Groupon I saved $15.The premises are are clean and not crowded and the person that checked me in was welcoming. I was in and out in less than 30 minutes. I would certainly consider them again for repair.

Coming from South Carolina, I needed someone to look at a vehicle before I purchased it. They not only squeezed me in that day, right away, they took the time to look the vehicle over and tell me what needed to be done. I was MORE than impressed with the quality and professionalism provided. If I lived there, I would most certainly take my vehicle to them to be serviced.

BEST MECHANICS IN TOWN! I love this place, they really know their cars and have great service. Staff was friendly, the place is clean, they have internet and coffee, a little place for the kids. Its comfortable while you are waiting on your car, and then the work they did on the car was great. If you are looking for a place you can depend on, you have found it.

We have used this shop for YEARS and had always recommended it in the past. This was not the case with our last trip here. Apparently this shop is now under new ownership. Wish we would have known this prior to our last visit as it would of saved us frustration, money and having to take our car two places instead of one. We were here for a simple inspection when they tried to get us for over $1200 and even told me the car was not safe to drive home and sign a waiver... I asked for a copy of what all that quote included and what needed to be fixed; said they would email it to me and well they never did... Well we know why, turns out the car needed nothing. On another opinion there was absolutely nothing wrong with the car. They should now be called NOT HONEST1..

The mechanics are good, but the sales guy for the company is not truthful and try’s to up sale parts that you don’t need. They will try to make you pay for things that the mechanics damaged/caught on fire. This was a bad experience for me and I will not go back.

This is a awesome place guys are honest and they always give me a quote before they work on it the mechanics does awesome work and Jason And Tanin is awesome they always take care of me when I come in there. He also take care of my boyfriend cars when he come in too. This is truly place to take your car. This place offers warranty on any work they do To your car.

I arrived on a Saturday afternoon needing urgent repair for my brake lights, they were able to get me right in and fixed quickly. Since I just moved to Greensboro I needed a good auto repair shop and now that search is over. Comfortable waiting room. pleasant folks in the office and the shop, why go anywhere else?

A very sketchy place. I payed them $450 to install a new timing belt and water pump because I recently purchased a new vehicle that did not have any service records so it was assumed it needed a water pump/timing belt. when they started the labor and got down in there they said that they could tell the parts had already been replaced recently, so they cancelled the order and that was that. The issue I had was they only refunded me $100 of the $450. they tried telling me I was still getting new parts.First, the parts even If they were actually recently replaced they were not NEW, which is what I payed for.Second, their only cost would have been the 30minutes-60minutes it took them to get down to the parts and realize they were recently replaced, then re-assemble what ever was needed. (average labor rate at a shop is around $80)So how does this amount to a $350 charge for me? When the only cost the shop even incurred was the approximate one hour labor charge.Honest-1 Auto Care is a joke of a business. They should be ashamed to carry that name.

My friend went there and they told him more than $300 to fix a back light which he bought very cheap online and I helped him fix for a beer lol. They are really overpriced, avoid it if you want to save money.
