Scheduled a literal APPOINTMENT on their website, went over at the scheduled time, was told they dont make appointments, despite the confirmation email, and that they could get my car in that afternoon. Came back four hours later at the time they asked, but after waiting an hour, I went to a competitor across the street, and had what was a 15 minutes job completed in 15 minutes. Will definitely return to their competitor, Battleground Tire, again. Battleground Tire was faster, more polite, and had nicer facility than Express Oil. Thats not saying much, but will be returning to Battleground Tire in the future.

Either dishonest or incompetent, take your pick. The manager, Mark, quoted us three hours labor to replace an alternator and then was quite rude about it. Thankfully another shop down the street did it in an hour. Definitely get a second quote before you trust these folks with a repair.

I have used this location so many times in the past, and it has always been great, but my last experience was probably my last. I pulled up like I always do and waited for my turn. All employees were busy at the time. A few minutes later two employees were available but they decided to hang around inside and talk and laugh with each other. I waited patiently for about 10 minutes. A car pulled up behind me and one of the men working came right out to wait on them and walked right by me. I put my car in reverse and left. Even though he probably thought it was funny, apparently he doesnt have enough common sense to realize I am the one putting money in his back pocket. Thats okay. There are plenty other places to get my car inspected.

I took three different vehicles while in Greensboro over the summer for oil changes and inspections. Two of the cars had problems after oil changes. One car - the technician left tools under the hood and left the gasket off the plug under the car - so all the expensive oil in the volvo leaked on our way home to the coast. The other one - they supposedly changed the filter but did not. Thankful the tools under the hood did not damage something else.

Just left this place. Went to get a alignment because I just purchase new tires on two vehicles. Was told over the phone that the price would be 78 dollars for the alignment. After I arrive a so call master tech told me that the price was 89.99. I went ahead and let the do the alignment. Upon doing the alignment he tells me that I need new brakes and rotors. I just purchased them less than a month ago. Then he proceeds to start talking about my mechanic and with a aggressive tone telling me that I didnt just get new brakes or rotors. Repeating that he is a master tech. They dont do what I do. I dont know about the rest of the staff there but he is a very unpleasant individual to deal with. I came there for a service and that is what I expected to get a service that was very pricey 200 dollars a alignment is ridiculous. Instead a got into a argument with someone who was trying to manipulate me into letting him be my mechanic. If you go here be away because he will try to sell you the world. The prices arent even listed for you to have a general idea of how much things cost so they can make up the prices as they go.

Amazing service from the entire team!I went to a few companies to get service.No one had my parts in stock because of it being new.Express went above and beyond to get my service. My part was at another store. I didn’t lose my spot they got me taken care of and faster than my anticipation!! I appreciate these guys! Going to this specific location for years! They never let me down!!

Inspections and oil changes are never a pleasant experience, no matter where you go. But theres usually a short wait here and theyre pretty quick at getting the job done and getting you on your way. Good service, would recommend

No one was in bay when I pulled in. Had to wait for someone to come out. He came out and asked what can I get for you boss? Turn off #1 pull in and am quoted a price of $80.99 for valvoline oil or 89.99 for Mobil 1. When I asked why so high I was told that’s just what the oil prices are. This is ridiculous! I could’ve went and got ramps and the oil and done it myself for less than that! Customer service and pricing isn’t their strong suit for sure. But hey he gave me $5 off. Still came to $91.06 for mobil1 oil change

Unbelievable fast, and didnt even have to get out of the car.

Just left waiting 15 minutes for a inspection. All the bays where empty. This is totally not good i have 5 different vehicles that I bring in for oil changes, never again. Your staff needs to be replaced. Go elsewhere for my inspection.

I have gotten my oil changed here the last few times and they are great. I can pull in stay in my car and they get it done quickly. They also top off all fluids and include a safety check.

He was very rude and just seemed like he didn’t have time for us any day. happily will spend my money elsewhere. customer service was just awful. learn how to treat people better and maybe you could make more money.

My wife went to have the oil changed in our shop truck that normally costs around 60 dollars most other places. Well being she is a woman they up charged her and when she left it was $100.00 for a what we wanted was a basic oil change. We defiantly wont go back or be recommending this company.

Went to get an oil change, not my normal spot but needed a change done quickly before a trip. Got back and noticed engine rattling and took to my normal mechanic. He let me know that whoever had changed it last had not put enough oil in it and didn’t do it properly. Barely any oil left in the engine. Will never use again. Don’t recommend.

They were great in so many ways. Fast and friendly in completing my NC inspection. But, I cant understand why there was one employee who wasnt wearing a mask? I was extremely uncomfortable and was disappointed that everyone working there wouldnt want to keep their customers (and one another) safe.

I service 3 different rides here and the last 3 oil changes have leaked at the filter and one of them failed inspection because of window tint. This vehicle has passed inspection by them for many years prior. I have noticed a high staff turnover here and it must be poor training because the service here has become very bad. I am forced to find a new place to take all my vehicles. Between oil leaks in my driveway and having to remove window tint I can’t afford to go here any longer.

Instead of owning it and simply fixing it, this shop wont even acknowledge the error. It was clear when discussing it with the manager that their primary concern is avoiding responsibility.To the owner: Regarding your response below, you present a very open and proactive face here in public. However the response your manager presented when it mattered most, when it was addressed face to face, was quite the opposite and made it clear that your companys primary goal is avoiding any and all responsibility for shortcomings in the quality of service provided. The opportunity for your company to retain my familys business was at that moment, and the response reflected zero concern for honesty and integrity.

My husband and I got stuck in the Lowes parking lot (trying to buy a paint brush LOL) and our car wouldnt go into reverse. We called them and not only did Jay WALK all the way from their location to our car, he helped us get it in reverse AND DRIVE to get it to their shop! When we pulled in Mark was so nice to my husband and I. I cant express the level of professionalism and overall going OUT OF THEIR WAY to help us! We even got to speak to the Regional Manager who also is absolutely incredible. Thank you so much to Jay walking to to us, helping us get to the store, and Mark for being so nice and helping explain what was the problem. I will not take my car anywhere else now! This place has great service, very clean inside and out and the work they do is great.

Every time i come here, theyre always quick and courteous. My vehicle is still under warranty, so i only see them for oil changes and inspections. I went with my sister when she visited recently and they were very mindful of her budget and did everything they could to keep the work within it and didnt do anything without running it by her first.

I have been a customer of express oil change in the Huntsville Alabama area for many years and just moved to the Greensboro area. I had a flat and needed it repaired quickly and just so happen to come across this express oil close to where I was working and the guys not only fixed the flat but mounted that tire and the put the spare back under my truck for me. And only charged me for fixing the flat. Awesome folks and glad I’m back with a great company that understands what customer service means.

As usual, fast and very friendly! My only complaint-my last visit (very cold day with garage doors closed) a mechanic was smoking inside. This was obviously unprofessional, my children were in the car with me and we could smell the smoke but it seems to me this is a safety issue! We were in an enclosed space surrounded by gas and oil?! I will return to this location because of the good service otherwise but the manager should review tobacco policy with staff.

This is a very polite and professional team. Ive been going there about 9-12 months. They are always working and helping each other to get things done and keep the customers moving. They speak clearly and politely to eachother as well as customers and always seem to be having a good time.

Needed an oil and oil filter change along with a tire rotation. They alerted me of a huge nail in my tire after they finished. I know that there was no nail in my tire when I got there because I live nearby and again, the nail was massive. They wanted to charge me to fix it and I refused, and did not want to pay for the overpriced service until they fixed it. They wanted to call the police on me after one of them threatened to knock me out which would have been tough for him considering my shape vs his. I did not want more of a headache and payed. I drove away with the tire to get it fixed somewhere else and I could feel my truck bump on each rotation with the nail, reassuring it was definetly not there before. I am amazed that there were so many violent, disrespectful people working in one shop. The manager was extremely rude as well, shouting at me while I tried to calmly and respectfully talk talk to her. There was one employee there who was nice to me and apologized to me several times for his peers behavior. Obviously Im not ever going back there, as I was cursed at to never return by one of the employees. Overall I was amused by the arrogance and hostility of the workers and highly reccomend you do not give them any business.

Went yesterday to get my oil changed and inspection done. There were at least 5 workers, and i was the only car in for service. The employees were very loud and fooling around and i could not hear what the attendant speaking to me without a lot of effort. I was in and out in probably 10 minutes, and i am hoping that they took the work seriously and it was performed correctly. The environment was very relaxed, loud and casual and it left me to wonder if the work was the main priority.

I was so impressed with Dan the manager and Michelle the mechanic who replaced my breaks. Dan and Michelle ACTUALLY SMILED and were friendly. you dont see that often unfortunately . Dan gave me great advice about my car and Michelle did a great job with my breaks . She would also make a great manager like Dan . I will be back because they are professional and do great work. Very friendly fast cost effective service

Dont ever go here. They know nothing yet will charge you for a diagnosis. My cars catalytic converter was fine. It was the fuel pressure regulator. Hope you can teach your mechanics their job. 52 dollars for guesses doesnt cut it. Steer clear of this place.

Great experience this morning. Our second oil change and both times they were quick and helpful. As noted by another reviewer great for when you have small kids, they loved seeing the guys in the secret basement working.

We made an appointment, dropped off the car, told them we made the appointment and what itwas for and that we would come back to get it. They told us that was fine. We got back about an hour later and asked if it was done and they said they had inspected the truck but nothing else we had asked them to do. They claimed they werent aware we wanted anything done despite the online appointment and informing them when we handed the keys over. They said that even though you can make an appointment online it doesnt get sent to them because they arent a corporate store. That doesnt make any sense to us, if the function is available how do you not get the appointments? Not to mention we told you we had an appointment and what it was for. They never apologized then told us if we still wanted the oil change and tire rotation it would be another 45 minute wait because there was a long line of cars that wasnt there when we initially dropped off the truck. This came just a few short weeks after they charged me $80 for a basic oil change because they said my car needed synthetic when it didnt even though I didnt ask for a synthetic oil. The Grease Monkey 5 minutes down the street may be a bit slower but atleast they are honest and competent.EDIT: When we dropped off our vehicle there wasnt a single car in the parking lot or in the working Bay. Employers were leaning on the wall talking. Making an excuse that the appointment could be performed anytime when there wasnt a car waiting in line doesnt fly with me. I know what my Manuel says I dont need to waste my time brining it up to argue that an employee dishonestly charged me. Making excuses isnt an apology nor is it professional and is why we will never be returning.

You dont even have to get out for an oil change! Perfect when you have several children. The lobby is small but much nicer than most auto shop lobbies.

Daniel was the man who worked on my car for me. My experience was excellent, he worked with me on pricing because I was on an extreamly tight budget. There was no BS he was honest with me from the beginning and didnt try to give me the run around or try and talk me into having things done that didnt need to be done. He went above and beyond for me and had it done in an hour or so. First time at an auto place and I will be returning.

Great place for oil changes and inspections. Ive had work done to my car once here last year and spent over 300.00 for parts and labor for my check engine light to still be on. After a week of them trying then diagnosing it as something else and wanting to charge me another 300.00, I took my car to honda and they fixed the issue for less than 100.00.

Have been getting my inspections done there for all my vehicles for years. Not a company that will try to find any little bit pickey things like other inspection stations try to sell.

I drive a half hour through town just to get my services done here. Staff is always friendly and wont suggest services you dont actually need. They are quick with quality.

They are fast, thorough and very courteous in the process. Just like everyplace they make recommendations but they do it in a non-pressure way. I would strongly recommend them.

Awesome! Ive never had to wait and once they started working I wasnt there long. Since I know jack about cars these guys take time to explain any questions I have and they never made you feel bad for not knowing. I was worried the first time I went years ago (being a female with an all male crew has not been fun with other places) but never once have any of the men made me feel weird or unsafe. The owner regularly walks around to assure (especially females) they are being treated properly.

My first time being here. I did have to wait in line a sec but it is Sat morning and was doing an inspection. But once they had my car in the bay it was less than 10 minutes. Staff was very polite and you could see there was no lolly gagging around as everyone was hustling. Hood tech jwg pit tect isi is all i wave on names of people who were assisting with my car. Will come again with all vehicles.

The guy who helped me with my Challenger was super helpful. He made sure I received the right product for my oil change and diagnosed two problems with other stuff. Definitely coming back.

They didn’t place my oil pan cover back on my vehicle properly which caused my metal cover toScrape the road. Upon returning, they were unprofessional! I shall not return, and no one should subject their vehicle to mediocre service!

Quick in quick out but they are higher on an oil change at least for a Kia anyway the dealership just down the street was cheaper

I needed a favor- some hydrolic fluid for my stand-up desk and the guys at Express Oil helped me out in a HUGE way! While I cannot comment on their other services, their customer service is stellar (something that is often a big miss in this industry)! AWESOME job guys!!

I would not use this place again for 2 reasons. My son went and had the oil changed in his truck and they hardly put any oil in so he almost burned up the motor. I went and had the oil changed and tires rotated on my jeep. I made sure I checked my tires and marked them before I left. They changed the oil but never rotated the tires and charged me for it.

AWFUL DO NOT GO HERE! took my car here for few repairs, picked car up with 3 new issues. My speakers worked perfectly when I took car there, when I picked it up my speakers were dead, and they refuse to fix them or refund me even after I spoke with district manager

Either they’re dishonest or their entire team had tremendous oversight. One way or another, I won’t be back. Requested an oil change and a tire rotation and balance. They called me 45 minutes later saying that the “lug nuts were swollen and it’ll be $80” even though I heard the manager in the background say “the average is $50”. Okay? After I googled that diagnosis, apparently swollen lug nuts is a thing. I told them to scrap the rotation/balance and just give me the oil change. When I picked up my car a few moments ago, at first they wouldn’t let me see the itemized before I paid, then they showed me. Lo and behold, there was a $30 charge for rotation and balance. They took it off the bill, I walked to my car, and there was absolutely nothing wrong with the lug nuts. I was able to get them off with a lug wrench a few moments ago. I won’t be back.To respond to Express reply: I am not commenting on the validity of your assessment that the nuts were swollen. What I am commenting on is the 1) price gauging 2) only 2/16 lug nuts were swollen 3) that you all were going to charge me for 20 lug nuts when I only needed two 4) that you all tried sneaking a rotation/balance charge on my bill and tried hiding the itemized before I paid 5) that you said you couldnt get the nuts off with the torque gun when I was able to get them off at home with a lug wrench lol. Yall completely missed the point of my review.

Love going here, oil changes are quick, they dont hassle you to buy services you dont really need. I love how you dont even need to get out of your car during the oil change.

Came in with a quote for 2 tires that I had gotten last week from this location. Gave quote to one of the employees who eventually came back and said that they could have those tires on Tuesday, their warehouse closes at 12pm. It is now about 12:30. I asked what other options they had. The man went back out to the bay and then about 15 min later came back and said they were puttting a quote together. About 5 min later came in with the quote for 2 different tires at about $20 more and i said lets do it. About 10 min later they came back in and told me that they could go get those tires in about an hour. After about 45 minutes of being there just to be told that they could got get me 2 tires in an hour i decided to take my business elsewhere.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The appearance of the property was excellent including the bays and landscaping. Ill be back!!
