Excellent dealership! Fast and friendly service. I called them beforehand to get everything set up, and it was simple and easy. When I got there, they gave me a guided test ride, since I was out of state and unfamiliar with the city. After that it took all of 5 minutes to sign the paper and leave with my new bike. Great people, I cannot recommend the. Highly enough!

So my Yamaha Road Star needed two tires, brake pads and a brake disk.Select had the best overall rating on Google maps so I took it to them.I bought what was sold to me as a rear tire at SRS but when I got to Select Ryan pointed out that they sold me a front tire and not even one the would fit my bike??Took it back and let Select order both front and rear tires.Ryan said they were backed up two weeks so I was fine with that.As promised two weeks they had my bike done. These people are great, friendly and professional. Not only did they mount and balance my new tires they cleaned and polished the rims while they were off!!! Wow, just kidding, they did not do that. But over all the price and performance at Select was above average. Thanks guys!

Being from Florida, I had no idea a dealership such as this shop existed.Florida is a terrible place to buy a bike - bro-bros destroy forks and gearboxes, crankcases are shredded up from aspiring stunters who spend more time on the ground than on one wheel, theres always a hidden issue from that time when that guy did that thing with the wiring, salespeople are ultra aggressive and every bike is made of purest gold and the greatest bike ever manufactured so thats why its listed over retail price.I purchased a motorcycle from Select Cycle online and (as one would expect when looking at an online vehicle) I had about a million questions and was arguably the most annoying person in the world. Fortunately, I was speaking to the most patient person in the world who answered all of my questions and streamlined the whole process in a way that I can only describe as Texan... smooth, laid back, easy, fast, and surpassing all expectations.Full disclosure, Im not a Texan. But Ive done a lot of work with em and theyre a special breed of human. Among the nicest people Ive ever known. Also, I hope Im not insulting any North Carolineans by comparing them to Texans. But I digress. The price of the motorcycle was so reasonable I didnt even want to haggle. It was exactly right, and every qualm or concern I had about the condition of the bike was fully addressed by Jen. Even the dreaded dealer fee was incredibly reasonable. Purchasing was very easy and straightforward, deposits were made, checks were sent, I made shipping arrangements and then it was a matter of waiting to see what showed up at my door. Now at this point you can imagine Im thinking what have I gotten myself into and youd be right. I prepared myself for a potential spaghetti sandwich - Ive bought my fair share of used Italian bikes in the past (Florida bikes, of course) and I swear its like people just take a chainsaw to them, then shine em up and hand them off. I was fully expecting one of those good from far but far from good scenarios where you get the bike home and then realize the wiring loom consists of a ball of yarn held with a roll of duct tape. I sat down and cracked a beer. The bike arrived and my expectations were completely surpassed, left far under a pile of impressed at what I received. The bike was immaculate with everything in perfect operating condition. Well maintained, cleaned up, and impeccably taken care of. It had several tasteful modifications already on it from the previous owner that werent stripped out, and it started up and ran flawlessly. Close inspection revealed no surprises. Im very, very pleased with my purchase and with Select Cycle.Buying a used bike online is a roll of the dice - and one I would only recommend doing if you know the dealer is a solid, trustworthy one and theres a reason we call them stealerships - the good ones are few and far between. My experience with Jen at Select Cycle was an overwhelmingly positive one from beginning to end. I highly recommend them without hesitation and when I look for another bike, I will certainly check in with them. While I can only imagine how great purchasing a bike from their shop directly and in person would be, Im confident it would border on a life-changing experience. Like hugging a koala. But seriously, buy it here with full confidence.

This dealership was recommended to me by a friend. I emailed back and forth with Bill several times before making a trip to see them. When I arrived, I was greeted promptly and warmly. He took the time to find out what I was looking for in a bike before helping me make a decision. Being a salesman myself, I appreciated their straight forward, no pressure approach. Overall, I was extremely satisfied with my experience and couldnt be happier with my new Triumph motorcycle!Just an update after having my bike for a few months now. I own a 2015 Vespa GTS300ie Super. I bought this wonderful scooter early in 2017 used from a professor at UNC in Chapel Hill $3,900.00. The scooter had 2,400 miles on it when I bought it. The scooter was still like brand new. I changed the engine oil and oil filter, gear oil, and cleaned the air filter at 3,000 miles. Did the same again at 6,000 miles. Put a new rear tire on around the 5,000 mile mark. I did all these maintenance updates myself for less than $200.00. The owners manual calls for a complete service on this Vespa at 9,000 miles, which includes the things mentioned above, plus a replacement of a new belt for the drivetrain, brake fluid, and engine coolant, and a valve adjustment. I bought two new Perelli tires from Amazon and took my scooter to Select Cycle for these maintenance updates plus the two tires I had purchased elsewhere. They help me unload my scooter and was just as nice and polite as you would expect. I told them I wanted a full 9,000 mile service plus the two new tires mounted and also wanted them to check the brake pads and replace if needed. “No problem they said, we’ll take care of you.” Then I got quizzed on where I had purchased my scooter. I told them the information I mentioned above, but wondered to myself what this had to do with the service I was requesting. I let it pass just thinking they were being inquisitive. I didn’t even think of asking for an estimate on what they thought it may cost me for a full service on my bike and they didn’t offer an estimate. “We’ll call you when it’s ready Mr. Propst.” Two days later I received a call telling me my bike didn’t need brake pads that I had about 80% pad left. Great I said and asked was my bike ready. “No they said, we’re waiting on parts and will call you as soon as it’s ready” with the sweetest voice you will ever hear. With honey dipping out of both sides of their mouth. About a week later I receive a call informing me that my Vespa was ready for pick up.I get there and go in to settle up. “That will be $905.33 Mr. Propst” with the sweetest voice you will ever hear. “What”? I exclaim thinking I had misheard. “That will be $905.33” they said with the sweetest voice while smiling in my face with the biggest smile I’ve ever seen in my life.” “Wait a minute, I brought those tires in, I didn’t buy those tires here.” “Yes sir Mr. Propst.” Still smiling the biggest smile you’ll see in your life. I swear I could see EVERY TOOTH in Ryan’s mouth. While Ryans’ mouth was wide open showing every tooth in his head; MY MOUTH HIT THE FLOOR!!! While I was driving over to pick up my bike I was wondering what my bill was and thinking it could be as high as four or five hundred dollars. Which I would’ve been ok with, them being a reputable dealership. “Wow, don’t you think an almost thousand dollar invoice should have been discussed when I brung my bike in for service?”, I asked. “Oh, I’m sorry, I should’ve given you an estimate” said Ryan, “but we had your bike on the lift for two or three days.” Still with that sickening giant smile. I’m stuck, what can I do? They’ve done the service and they have possession of my bike. I pay my bill. But they have lost a customer for life. Never again. I paid almost a thousand dollars for a service on a bike I bought for less than $4,000.00. Absolutely Crazy!!!! I love my Vespa and can’t wait till Vespa comes out with a new and upgraded model of the GTS300 Super so I can go and buy me a brand new one and move this one on to my daughter. Guess where I won’t be spending my money? Use your own judgment, did I get ripped off? I would suggest that I absolutely got ripped off. Was it because I didn’t purchase my bike from them? I have no ideal, but I know for a fact my scooter shouldn’t have been on a lift for two or three days! And which was it? Two or three? My bike shouldn’t have been on a lift more than two or three hours!! Add insult to injury, two weeks later my bike wouldn’t crank. I had a dead sell in my battery, that couldn’t take a charge. They should’ve caught that. What a JOKE!!! Never again.

Literally had the best experience here I could possibly imagine. The staff are super accommodating and friendly, and the selection is fantastic. Every rare and unique model of Triumph and Royal Enfield motorcycles are in stock, and the repair shop in the back is tidy, and packed with even more inventory. Was interested in a Triumph motorcycle that I have been eyeing for some time, and was offered a test ride immediately upon arrival. During the test ride, we went all over Greensboro on what felt like a 30 minute cruise through the farmland and more open roads around the area. Every 5 minutes or so, Ryan would stop and check in with me to make sure I was comfortable and doing the type of riding that I needed to properly get a feel for the bike. Jen was also incredibly kind and professional. Ryan was not pushy after the long ride, and at no point did I feel like I was pressured into making a decision. This is the way sales should be! The friend I was with purchased a Royal Enfield that day, and the repair shop upgraded his exhaust and put on a center stand very quickly. They loaded the bike on the truck for us, and even gave us some complimentary store-branded high quality ratchet straps even though we had our own. I cannot recommend this shop enough. If you are in the market for a new toy, make Select Cycle the first place you visit. Itll probably be the last, too! :-)

Terrible experience; Multiple Trips. I attempted buying a bike from this dealership about a year ago; but they refused to sell me one because they did not believe I could afford it; and wrote me completely off after just a few trips to their store.I took my business to the Ray Price Triumph dealership in Raleigh where I was treated delightfully with mutual respect; and purchased the same bike just weeks later that I had tried to purchase from Select. I did not mind paying $3,000 more than I was to pay at Select; simply because I enjoyed the fantastic customer service and genuine care. I believe It pays to be nice to people; and I dont mind freely giving my money in the direction of people who provide excellent customer service and make you feel special. Good job Ray Price!I later brought the new bike in for service where they did a good job. However, months later my bike was in an accident caused by another person and I took it to their shop out of convenience to my location. After the insurance adjuster came out and declared it a total loss I could not get my bike back from Select. They held the bike ransom and would refuse to release it though I was the owner. They even said they were going to charge $3500 in storage fees because the bike sat there when it could have easily sat at my house in my garage for the months it took insurance. I even spoke with Ryan in person. At that moment he had the chance to make things right and release the bike. And he knew about my prior bad experience at his dealership. Yet they still refused.I am very disappointed in the way I have been treated MULTIPLE times; and will never do business with this shop again. I warn those who visit, to do so with caution. I would recommend Ray Price in Raleigh or a Dealership in Charlotte.I am not one to leave bad reviews. And don’t normally complain. In fact, all of my other reviews are 5 stars. But this was horrendous. And to think I was treated like this on a $17,000 purchase... its just bad Business practice.

May 2020This is an update to my previous review. I went to the dealership yesterday for my bikes first service. What a pleasant experience. My bike was taken right in for the servicing and was completed within two hours. The cost was exactly what they quoted me and they took care of another minor little issue with the instrument cluster alignment. They had a nice place for me to set up my computer and work while I waited. Ryan and his staff are accommodating and top notch. The dealership is in a convenient location in downtown Greensboro with good access to the service shop door (I had a trailer) and ample parking. Inside the dealership has a nice appearance and comfortable vibe.I could not have been more pleased with my overall experience. Even though this is a 2 hour drive for me, this is where I will get my Triumph serviced.May 2019If you are looking to buy a motorcycle, you have to check this dealership out. I just purchased a 2019 Triumph 1200 XE. The price was right, the trade very fair and the customer service excellent. Sophie was my salesperson and Ryan (the owner) delivered it my my home in Charlotte. It was a seamless pleasure dealing with both of them. TL;DR - Buyer Beware at Select Cycle, even their written offers may not be honored.Jen and Ryan at Select Cycle negotiated a deal with me for a 2018 Triumph Bonneville Speedmaster on Friday, and then refused to honor their WRITTEN OFFER (which I still have a copy of) the very next day when the owner John decided he didnt like the deal.Do not bother to negotiate with anyone at Select Cycle except the owner, John. Apparently NO ONE ELSE there has the ability to finally approval a deal. Not Ryan, not Jen.Just FYI - im a well-qualified buyer, and experienced rider. I had cash in hand for a down payment, if necessary. I qualified for Triumphs 0% financing offer. Ive owned 3 motorcycles before, and was 100% serious about buying a Triumph that day. When my wife and I spoke with John in person he told us a mistake had been made with the numbers; that he didnt understand everything about the situation, but that he wouldnt do the right thing and honor the deal.Apparently he understood just enough to refuse to honor the offer. Also, if the owner really doesnt understand whats happening in his own shop, do you really want to do business there?I cant help but wonder if the whole ordeal wasnt some sort of underhanded negotiating tactic, and if theyve pulled this garbage with anyone else.

I admit that was me with my first bike, so live and learn. Another thing that impressed me was they will not touch a bike for repair if it appears to be stolen. Every Select Cycle employee gave me their full attention, answered questions thoroughly, honestly, and with sincere enthusiasm. Each time I have visited Select Cycle I see some new wrinkle added which shows the commitment of the organization to be not only the best motorcycle shop in the area, but to be a benchmark for motorcycle shops on the east coast. At no time have I ever been disappointed with the response of a Select Cycle employee or felt that a visit to the shop was not well worth the long trip. Walking into a dealership of any sort isnt what Id consider fun, but after working with Select Cycle, they have completely changed the entire experience.I walked into Select Cycle on a whim. I had been anxiously awaiting the release of a motorcycle of a different brand. One day, I decided to kill some time and browse through the store. Walking into the store is like experiencing a new culture. The store it self has a inviting social atmosphere, unlike anything Ive experienced. People were actually just hanging out there for fun. The new Tiger 800 XRt really caught my eye, as I gave the casual oh just looking answer to the first person that greeted me, her name was Jen. Jen gave me plenty of space and allowed me to peruse in my own way (as I dont prefer to be bombarded by sales staff when I walk in). Sales staff were knowledgeable, and if I asked something they werent familiar with, they would go find the answer on the spot.I was encouraged to take a test ride after looking at the Tiger, and asking questions. A test ride?!?! This was an entirely new concept, as I had been to multiple motorcycle dealers in the Triad, and most all other dealerships would respond we dont do test rides. Long story short, I came back the next day with my gear and took the motorcycle off the floor to ride! This also shocked me, as I expected to ride a demo or used bike for the experience. Nope, they pulled that beautiful Matte Cobalt Blue Tiger 800 off the floor and got it ready. Ryan took me for a casual ride around Greensboro. Showing me all the features, riding, and pausing for conversation and more demonstrating the bikes features. The ride lasted for around 45 minutes! Again, I was shocked at the customer service and rapport that I built with the staff and the store.I worked with sales staff, Jen. I need to take a moment to highlight her. She was such a pleasure to work with. Ill be honest, I never expected to feel like I had a friend at a dealership before. Jen was laid back, adapted to my preferred way of researching and buying, and was always there to check on me. She wasnt pushy in any way, and was quick to respond. In fact, every staff member I met at Select Cycle was so pleasant to interact with. They felt genuinely excited for my first Triumph purchase. Select Cycles really worked with me, and provided solutions when I had questions or problems.I ended up purchasing the Tiger 800 XRt this past Friday. Not only am I happy with the bike, but happy that I purchased from Select Cycle. It was by far, the most laid back and chill buying process Ive ever experienced. It was actually fun. The staff there know how to create a welcoming, friendly, and contagious community of riders. It feels like I have been welcomed into the community, and encouraged to take part in the culture. Select Cycle does community rides, benefits, charity events, and more.I encourage you to go visit Select Cycle if youre in the market for a Triumph, or other brands that they carry. Go and experience the community feel and culture of this shop. Quite frankly, its contagious. Thanks to Jen, Ryan, and Jacob for making my experience such a pleasant one.

We have been using select cycle for our four motorcycles and havent ever had much issue but it seems some changes have been made and their personal turnover has also affected their costumer relations.I brought a bike in for brake work and a new battery and upon my first ride after I had taken it off my truck I noticed my front brake lever would depress all the way to the throttle handle, figured they just forgot to bleed the lines oh well. A few weeks later my new battery boiled over and was shot a quick test with a regulator confirmed that and a quick search on the triumph forum indicated it was probably the stator/regulator.Load the bike back up take it to them since figured they could bleed my brake while it was there, in the mean time I called my previous mechanic in Kearnersville at maxspeedshop and was told it was a$40 job 1/2 hour at $80 per hour well at select it cost $125.00 to tell me my battery was shot and my stator regulator needed replacing (which is what I told them before taking the bike off the truck)which was added to the $125.00 they charged to change it one hour @ $125 ph, plus a quart of oil, shop towels etc, after all said and done $1100+ for something that should have been considerable less. I felt that I was being gouged and decided to speak to the owner whom I always felt was a decent person and would explain his justification of the price other than we had to check the battery and try and charge it,called twice asking to talk to him,(NOT THERE) both times which was surprising because I would run into him everytime I came by. Anyway i was told if I wanted to speak with him to email him! Im not a twenty something hipster that should have to email someone who is trying to have a costumer based business. When I explained that they needed to adjust the front brake they said they would be happy to look at it for a additional charge since they claim they didnt do anything to it apparently it just lost pressure in the back of the truck taking it there or bringing it back. So I guess this is my email to the owner I paid my bill in full and will be taking my four bikes and old man attitude elsewhere .

This is the neighborhood motorcycle dealer you always wanted.I was considering one of their bikes and was happily surprised to learn that they do extensive, 45-minute test rides, so I was confident when I decided to go for it. Their out-the-door price was very reasonable.I came in expecting to get gauged for $300 on my 500-mile service but they did it for a respectable $200. Then, I ordered some gear and farkles through them because they have a great accessories guy (Jake) who beat cyclegears and revzillas pricing. They exchanged my helmet, which I ordered in the wrong size, no fuss. They also discounted a bluetooth module when the one theyd quoted wasnt available and they had to order a more expensive unit. They stand by their word and were lucky to have this kind of shop in Greensboro.

This place is a total rip off. I knew almost nothing about scooters when I came in there and they saw me coming from a mile away. If you have to deal with the guy in the service department be prepared to hear how much your scooter sucks compared to the overpriced ones in their show room. Then they will charge you 50 bucks just to look at the thing. In my case I had oil leaking from the engine(duh) needed a new tire,a spark plug and carb cleaned. They recommended a valve adjustment as well. All together they wanted $350 plus the $50 upfront to do the work. The service guy quoted me the most expensive parts they had like the $50 tire instead of the $20 one etc. and told me they had no idea when the scooter would be ready. I could not afford all that so for $250 they would do everything except replace the gaskets to stop the oil leak. I get the scooter home after a week with no communication and the guy refusing to return my calls and the oil leak is now worse. I called a trusted mechanic at Five Points Motors in High Point and had them look at it for me. Apparently when you do a valve adjustment, you have to take off the valve cover anyway and it is recommended that you change out this gasket while you are adjusting the valves. This is where my oil leak was coming from and scooterdorks wanted to charge me $100 to replace a part that literally costs about a dollar and involves no more work than what he was doing to adjust the valves. Then I find out that the valves were not adjusted correctly and the air box was damaged from when the carb was cleaned. Their customer service pawns you off on someone else even when they are not doing anything, they will rip you off if you didnt buy one of their $5K scooters and you cant trust their service department. If they had treated me with an ounce of respect and worked towards fixing my inexpensive Chinese scooter, not providing me with the most overpriced quote I could afford, I would have gone back and bought my LXV from them. Instead I went to Vespa of Charlotte and they even took off the cost of scooternerds invoice. I loaded the scooter on my prohoist carrier and came back to Gboro. If you need service on your scooter go ask your auto mechanic if they know a motorcycle guy or take it to a lawn mower repair place. If you want to buy a scooter check online first. Most Dealers will ship them for free, assembled and tested, for less than scooterdorks price. After getting burned at Geek Squad I knew I should stay away form the nerd, geek, dork, dweeb named businesses as all that means is We know more than you and will use it to rip you off!
