We purchased a car for my daughter here two years ago. We had a very good experience and the car has done very well for us. We have since had that car and one other car serviced here. David is honest and is a man of integrity. He sells good cars but all his cars are used cars and can and will have issues. This is not a paid endorsement but I really wanted to write because I have a hard time understanding some of the negative endorsements here.
I purchased a vehicle here a couple weeks ago and so far its been pretty good. Customer service was decent and was better than most used car dealerships. The only gripe I have is the fact that they cover up some of the issues on their vehicles like broken wheel studs/wrong size wheel studs, and rust on undercarriage that was simply painted with no prep work. All in all not a terrible place if youre shopping at a used car dealership you just have to know what youre getting yourself into.
Horrible used car dealership. I was not greeted or even recognized upon arriving in his office. I stood and waited approximately 5 minutes until I was even graced with a look and was asked the one word slap in the face question of: Yes? Never offered his name, hand shake or asked how I was.He called himself the bank and said he was not a car guy. Unwilling to recognize when problems legitimate problems exist with his vehicles and lower his price appropriately. After asking him a question about whether or not he could call his mechanic to find out what total items he had work done on, he just turned to his computer and read the screen for ten minutes only to look up and say that he was actually under retail price already and never answered my question before I left.He states that all their vehicles get high power washed and spray coated on the under carriages. Which only means that an after market coating covers up everything you want to know about IF a vehicle has rust or not. If there is, then it gets covered up and you cant see it until the paint falls off along with the rust it wont permanently stick to.In my opinion Subarus & More Sales and Service has no customer service, it doesnt even exist. Telemarketers who call at 6:30pm during dinner have had more customer service than this man. I am calling him this man, because I still dont know his name. This is a horrible dealership due poor communication,no customer appreciation, and a lofty view of understanding of car value.STAY AWAY from this dealership.
I bought a good car at a good price and received a fair trade-in on my old car. They fixed a couple of small things that popped up later. Their mechanic is knowledgeable and they were honest with me.
I dont know the negative reviews, I just left there. Honest up front people. Who seemed to care more for my well being than making a dollar. I would definitely buy from them if my situation was different.. this was just MY experience tho
STEER CLEAR OF THIS PLACE!!!! VERY DISHONEST. We test drove a car here and they classified it as Certified Pre-Owned with a 127 point check and stated the car was in excellent condition. When we told them we wanted the car looked at by a mechanic they wanted us to go to their mechanic to have it checked out. We took it to a local mechanic of our choosing instead to have it checked out before buying. Upon inspection the cars underneath was completely rusted. The rotors were completely rusted. It had a head gasket leak an exhaust leak, a transmission pan leak. They put stop leak in the radiator, the list goes on and on. I would not buy a car from this place if my life depended on it. All I can say is buyer BEWARE!!!! I am shocked this place is still in business by all the horrible reviews.
We just purchased a used Outback from them a few weeks ago and they were a pleasure to deal with. Service after the sale has also been excellent as they took care of a couple of minor issues that they werent even really obligated to. I would recommend them to anyone in the market for a used Subaru. Their service and selection of cars is outstanding.
Tried to get the man to help me find a van. Instead of asking me for my name and number, he hands me his business card? Huh? He’s doing me a favor? Wants me to call him. What? I’m supposed to check with him. While I’m talking to him, he walks off. Wise up dude, people talk and people post.
I didnt buy a car from this place. But I looked at a few. I caught them lying to my face. Also they said they inspected a car and then I found water in the oil. They lied about the mileage, they tried to tell me that the transmission was sealed when they couldnt find the dipstick, and when I told them about the water in the oil, i just got a shoulder shrug. The car is still there trying to be sold to some sucker for over 2x book value. No thanks. Places like this give used car dealerships a bad name. But they are not all like this. I found another small business that I will gladly give my money to instead. It disgusts me that these people can try to do this to anyone. That car will be a lemon to anyone that doesnt know exactly what they are looking at, even at that, its a rip off at the prices they ask.
Word to the wise dont buy. Trucks are rusted dont believe me? Just look under. I have a list of complaints. And definitely dont buy their warranty. Its a rip off most likely what you need done wont be covered by the warranty and when you call to cancel the contract youll get the run around for two months waiting on your refund check.
I have never been so rudely treated by anyone, much less a sales person, in my life. I had gone to look at several trucks that were on craigslist from this business. Not much room to park when pulling in so we parked where we thought was the right place. I was on the lot looking at vehicles when the salesman asked me to move my vehicle. I motioned for my wife who was driving and sitting in the vehicle to move the vehicle. Less than 30 seconds later the salesman said, I have asked you to move your vehicle now get in it and get the hell out of here. We proceeded to do that and will never set foot on that lot again.
False Advertisement was only the beginning. My son looked at a Fordf150 that was advertised. However, instead of it being a 4 wheel drive 2003, It was a 2 wheel drive 2005. So they offered to fix any issues on a Tundra that he liked. They Called him a couple of days later to tell him it was ready. When he went to look at it; IT WAS ALREADY SOLD. All in the same day. LIES LIES LIES
I bought a 2002 4Runner from them in January & was really happy with my expierience. The salesmen & the owner were nice & professional & were willing to negotiate on the price of the vehicle, which surprised me! They gladly let me test drive a few cars until I found one I really liked, & helped me through the buying process with patience. This is my first time buying a car & I had a great expierience buying from them
Not a good experience at all with Subarus and More. 1st vehicle I asked to test drive had a flat tire. When I asked for some air to be put into the tire so that I could test drive, I was told if I bought the vehicle, they would fill the tire up. When I then asked to drive a couple more vehicles for comparison, I was told that if I didnt buy something, I was wasting their time and gas. These are word-for-word the responses I got during my visit. Very rude and unaccommodating. Obviously, I did not end up buying anything from them, simply because of the extremely poor service. Just felt the need to share my experience.
Subarus and More is great! Awesome prices, quality cars, and no pressure sales. I would highly recomend buying a car there to anyone!!
Was looking at two different Honda Pilots. I asked for CarFax on both which they said were clean. They sent one and then the second was for a 2008 4Runner. Never got the second Carfax even after asking two people on the phone. I also asked about timing belt history on both vehicles with no response.I will not try this place in the future.
I just recently bought a 1999 Toyota 4Runner from this place. The staff is friendly and helpful and it seems they truly want their customers to be happy. A word of warning though, their vehicles come from up north where salt and sand on the roads can cause rust. My vehicle has 137,000 miles on it and everything is in perfect condition except for some rust on the body trim, frame, and control arms. Most of the 4Runners I looked at on the lot had rust, but none of the frames had holes or cracks in them. Also, keep in mind, the underbody is painted black over the rust, so try and get one where the paint doesnt look pitted and uneven as this is a sure sign of rust underneath the paint. Most of these vehicles are decent enough, but ALWAYS ask to test drive it before you buy it. Test everything. Do some research about what to look for and warning signs. Do research on the particular vehicle and understand its common problems. As far as this dealer is concerned, I feel I was treated fairly, was given an OK deal, and Im happy with my purchase. Overall, would I buy from them again? Yes, but only if I was very educated about the vehicle I was looking at, and was able to inspect it thoroughly. These guys wont lie to you, but they arent in the business of giving you all the info either (partially because they dont know it.)Edit:DO NOT buy a car from these guys. At first everything seemed and worked fine, but now my air conditioning is leaking freon like a sieve. I just went to change the brakes and everything is so rusted on I cant even change the pads. I tried replacing the calipers and everything is so rusted I cant even get the bolts out to replace anything. Im going to have to take it to a shop and spend more than the 4Runner is worth just to get brakes and air conditioning put back in the thing. If I thought I could win in court I would be suing right now because no one should be selling a car that has brakes in that condition, someone could get killed. Not everyone knows how to look over a car and these guys prey on that. I repeat, DO NOT buy any car from these dudes!
Great buying experience, the service was great, and they were true to their word on working out a deal. I would recommend them to anyone with no hesitation.
Tim will go the extra mile to get you financing the service is outstanding small friendly lot with great inventory or Cars,Trucks and SUVs this my second time buying from Subarus and More check them out
A used car lot. I didnt end up with a subaru but I did get a car from them. Although they played some games with the price after they told me what it was going to be it wasnt enough of a difference for me to walk away without the car.
Great place, purchased a car there, low mileage and great customer service...highly recommended
Great customer service and friendly staff. Takes time to get you the best deal and rate!!
This is My 2nd post of this company. I bought a 4 runner from them and it was a rust bucket in a attempt to redeem themselves and help me into a Newer Tacoma (Odd they didnt want there own vehicle as a trade in) I had to replace the rack and pinion within 1 month of purchase due to rust and the recent cost is up to 4000$ in cost since January all due to rust!! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!! Very nice to deal with, of course they are selling Rust for $$$$...Just a word from a twice bitten Customer.
DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM SUBARUS And MORE!!!!!!!!!!!I suspect that the only good reviews are coming from lucky people who actually got a good car that Subarus and More did not have to lie about.I love my Subaru’s and wish these guys would clean up their act. They give Subaru a bad name and are the reason small-time used car dealerships get a bad reputation. Let me begin. The 2005 outback looked great but upon the test drive I could faintly smell burning oil coming through the air vents. Tim, the “mechanic”, and I got under the car. The engine was very clean (I believe that to be the work of their pressure washer). The mechanic determined that the gasket around the oil pan had a small leak and was dripping oil on the exhaust. I would have taken the car to a shop to be inspected but it was late, and my 2002 outback was not going to get me back home (6 hours) had I decided not to buy. They took the price of labor and gasket off the sale price. I thought that was fair and I would get it fixed later. On-line and over the phone they told me that the car had had its full timing belt, pulley, head gasket job. Once we were in the office Tim could not find the paperwork to go along with this and said “the computers were down.” Again, I take full credit for buying this car but I really should not have. Two weeks later the burning oil smell was getting stronger. I took it to my local mechanic and the first thing he asked was where I bought it. He said this car would definitely be classified as a “lemon” but South Carolina has no “lemon law.” He showed me the bottom of the engine, it was completely covered in oil and in serious need of a timing belt / gasket job. I talked to the owner of Subaru’s and More. He said they have done 1000’s of head gasket jobs and would have never sold the car had they known this was the issue. He agreed to send me the parts I would need for the job but labor was on me. For three weeks after that he gave me the run around about sending the parts, the parts went from being free to him selling the parts to me at his cost, then he stopped talking to me completely. I gave up and paid to have the job done. $1300.00. After that the brakes started to make rattling sounds. Turns out the pads Subaru’s and More put on the car were not the right size. I had to get 4 new sets of pads and 4 new rotors. The batter was also only charging at 20%, had to get a new one of those. Plus a few other things I saw that needed fixing $800. The rear of the car was out of alignment. The tires were almost new when I bought it. When I noticed the rear tires were going bald it was too late. $500 for new tires and alignment.I have never bought a new car and have been happy with all my other used car purchases. This 2005 has been by far the biggest waste of money and now I’m stuck with the bills. Don’t buy a car from Subarus and More, you’d be better off buying one from a private party that knows nothing about cars than from a place that knows everything that’s wrong with the one they’re selling and lies to you / has a horrible mechanic.
Extremely poor customer service on the buying end. Actually hung up on me while I was asking questions simply because he didnt want to talk. Wanted me to go to the website but O was trying to tell him it was not working. He informed me it was on my end and hung up.
Terrible customer service. Sold me a car with mechanical problems that they knew of, but did not disclose to me. Also, broke my door panel after I bought the car and didnt fix it. Sent me off the lot with an empty tank of gas.David the owner, offered to take the car back and refund my money. I expressed concerns that the vehicle isnt safe to drive back to SC, and he told me I was ungrateful and took back his offer to refund. He proceeded to text me for hours afterward being very unprofessional.
Expensive. Couldnt talk down a vehicle listed almost twice its dealers book value. Check Kelley Blue Book before purchasing.
DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM HERE!!I ignored bad reviews thinking, How bad could he be?. He tried to scam me, took a large deposit and told me he would fix up the car in a few days so i could buy it. He dragged me around for over a month saying the car was being repaired, When I kindly asked for the deposit back after a month he refused saying the car was my problem now. In reality he actually sold the car to someone else, a friend of my brothers even! AND STILL HELD MY DEPOSIT! almost had to take him to court to get my money back. Hopefully this review saves you some money and time. Please look elsewhere for your next car.
This place is vacant. My job is to give it a face lift.
Junk....Rust Buckets....and the people there are extremely rude. I wouldnt buy a coca cola from these crooks!
This place does more to make sure the vehicle is right before a sale than most anyplace else I have ever been. Timing belts and headgaskets are replaced regularly so the customer doesnt have to.
Unacceptable website performance leads me to believe Id be better off shopping somewhere else
No Hassle experience. Could not be more pleased with my purchase
SLIMY!!! Spoke with 2 salesman about the price of a Tahoe. After they had gotten more calls from other people, mysteriously the price jumps $1500 from the POSTED price online.
Rip off check for serious rust.
DONT BUY!!!! RUST!!! VERY BAD PEOPLE!! DONT TRUST
This place sucks ass
Great cars
