I had a issue with my Car that was of major concern. The guy who looked at it( sorry I don’t remember your name) he was nice and not judge mental. Was patient as I contemplated on my decision. I can tell they are proud of the work they do and very caring and understanding towards their customers.

C and R was recommended to me by a friend who was impressed by their work. I have brought my Mini in several times for all sorts of problems ranging from crash damage to headlight installation and they have exceeded my expectations every time! I was driving from Charlotte to Atlanta and my car started acting funny so I made a stop here. I walked right before closing time and they were very busy but they understood my situation and fixed everything up in an hour. Amazing staff and the cutest dog youll ever meet. If I lived nearby this would be my go-to place. I would highly recommend.

If I could give 10 stars I would! My husband and I were visiting friends in Greer with our 4 kids. We pulled up a to red light at a 4 way intersection and our vehicle turned off completely at 4:30pm. We called a tow truck and dropped our vehicle to C & R after hours. We called the next morning and explained that we were supposed to be driving back to VA that morning and had obviously not expected this. They were the kindest most empathetic people! They diagnosed and fixed our vehicle by 1:30pm so we could get on the road. Such a blessing! They had a ton of vehicles they were working on, but cared enough about the bind we were in to help us in such a timely and considerate matter! And did I mention—-AFFORDABLE!?! I can’t say enough great things about this honest, genuinely kind business.

Been taking my cars here for a few years now: they have honest pricing, fairly fast service, and they wont cheat you. If they cant find a problem (which is rare) they wont just slap new parts on and call it better, theyll be honest with you. And thats a rare quality ina mechanic.

I lost my a/c after driving halfway through a 4 1/2 hr trip on vacation with my family in the middle of stale, hot July!!!! With 3 small kids, I needed it fixed quick for the trip home in 2 days but everywhere I called was booked for a week or more. C & R Automotive were not only able to squeeze me in the next day for a diagnostic but also fixed it the same day at reasonable price without trying to up sale on unnecessary repairs. Clay was really helpful and was there for us when we needed it! I would definitely recommend to anyone!

Took my truck here twice. First time they called and said it would be ready in an hour because they were putting a belt on that I asked for. I asked the price and was told it was about $500 (I had a few things done and price seemed good). Picked the truck up and was told the price was now over $600, reason for the increase was the belt was tricky. Okay I get it, couldve been a multitude of different issues. No problem. Second time took it in to get my rims switched. Went to pick up my truck and they broke a TPMS. (all were fine when I brought it in). I was told that they could replace the broken TPMS for only an extra $50. I will never be back.I would like to clarify. If clay responded to this review.You never spoke to me about my TPMS sensor. It was one of your employees. They stated that the TPMS was broken and needed to be replaced. It was working when I brought the truck in and not when I picked up my truck. As far as pricing with the belt. I am going off what I was told over the phone by Clay. One price was quoted and a higher price asked for as payment. I completely understand that issues come up, but when one price is quoted, nothing is communicated as far as issues and a separate price is asked at time of payment, concerns come up. Then a separate issue happens the next time with zero communication...again concerns. Communicate better with future customers and these type of issues can go away.

The folks at C&R Automotive were very helpful after an unfortunate and untimely breakdown. They were honest about options considering the age of my car. When we opted to have it fixed, they did so under the cost quoted and the work was done faster than expected. Even though we dont live in the area, Im glad we found them and I would highly recommend this service center.

Had a pesky recurring check engine light issue. Wasted lots of time with the national chain. C & R was effective with their solution and maintained great communication about the repair. This is my new go-to for maintenance and repair.

Took my car in because of noise coming from front tire and they looked at it and determined that it was just a pebble lodged in brake pad. I was for out of town due to the hurricane. Clay Hutchinson is the most honest, ethical, professional and cost effective option for any auto repair. C and R has upgraded my 2007 Mustangs custom power train and repaired my 2015 GMC Yukon and my 2017 Chevy Equinox both after front end accidents. They work fast and have always done good work for a fair price. A friend recommended me to C and R and now I recommend them to my friends.

Heat wasnt getting hot in my truck, dropped it off at the end of a business day. They called the next day around lunch time as he said they would told me what the problem, the heater core was clogged and A/C evaporator. Work was complete the next day, this is a huge time consuming job. If I need work done I will go back here

Ive never written a review for an auto place on Google before but I had such a good experience I felt like I owed it to them after going there for the first time. Clay, Linda and the rest of the staff were very friendly and helpful. I went in for my 30,000 service appt and the price that I paid was a bit less than what was quoted over email which was great. Car is running well and I paid much less than what the dealership estimated. Bonus perk: an adorable brown dachshund sometimes greets you when you walk in. Highly recommended.

Work done was good, however I was charged more than what the dealership charged. Its my fault I didnt ask for an estimate first.

I was road tripping to Asheville, NC and picking up friends at Greenville-Spartanburg. Got just outside the airport and my car suddenly lost power and wasnt running properly. Stopped at C&R and Clay helped me right away even though they were busy. Hooked the diagnostic machine up to my computer and found out that one of my cylinders wasnt firing. Clay pooped the cover off the engine and discovered that the wire to the coil had not been connected properly when I had a tune up done before I left and it had wiggled loose. Locked it down and got me on my way, no charge. Great guy, would make C&R my regular mechanic without question if I was in the area.

Great price and friendly, fast service. I was able to drop my vehicle at night which helped with my schedule. They were very friendly to my wife and me. The repairs were done before schedule next afternoon.

Ive only been to C&R one time, but they took care of the problem in a timely manner. Im probably going to see them about another problem tomorrow. So far, in my experience, they do good work. I work two buildings away so they are convenient to me during the day.

Great Service, High Ethics. I went to get my Nissans cruise control fixed. Initially, they fixed the switch that was lose but the cruise was still not engaging. I had initially paid the charges and had driven for home but on my way, I realized that the cruise control was still not working/engaging, so, went back and they fixed it without any additional charges.

I would give a zero star if possible. Fixed my brakes all around rotors, wheel cylinders(rear), drums, pads and rear differential all for less than the original estimate - you get what you pay for. Wheel cylinders and rotors and pads were ok. Well, a week later the brake job turned out to not be so good, brakes dragging, making noise and both rear hubs HOT to the touch. Took it back, and before I had drove 25 miles noise started up again. Took it back a third time, they ground down the brake shoes to address the noise, changed out the adjusters. It still was not fixed and they said they were done with it. The springs were the issue. They also put a new seal in the rear differential and somehow managed to have the rear end make even worse noise than when I took it in. Also they put the thing back together with bad u-joints and said nothing about that at all!! Expensive lesson :( Dont go here.

C & R repaired the rear end on my truck, Clay was professional and explained the problem and cost every step of the way. The bright star at C & R is Clays mother who works the front desk.Update, when I got back home (640 miles away) the rear axle was leaking, I called Clay and he said a NAPA service center would replace the seal and he would call me back with the information, Clay never called back and I ended up replacing the seal myself.
