DO NOT SHOP AT THIS STORE!. We paid $40/month for 18 months for a line we never used. The salesperson activated an extra line but no device was ever assigned to it and the line was NEVER used. Verizon will only credit us for 6 months = $240 but we paid over $700. We wont be a Verizon customer for much longer. CHECK YOUR BILL NOW!

I’d give zero stars to this store if it were possible. What should be simple - trading in a phone for a new one- results in spending $1000 for a paperweight. Lazy staff wouldn’t take the time to help my son set up his new phone, only to find after a 39 minute call with Apple support that she didn’t bother to activate the new phone...can’t sign in with his Apple ID and the phone is useless until they open again. No Verizon support either. Very poor customer service all around!

I had some trouble resyncing a new phone after losing mine in a lake. Got the new phone and turned it into a brick somehow. Went in hoping to get some help and Andre went above and beyond helping me reset the new phone and getting some accessories to keep from destroying it. Very happy with the results.

I will never accept being lied to. I waited over an hour to pick up my items, only to be told they didn’t have an order for me. Why take an ID for an order you didn’t have? I clearly saw my name on the reps iPad. He verified all my info and then went to retrieve what I paid for. Whatever happened in the back, he and his manager came up with this BS story to tell my husband and I about the “system being the system”. I called customer and it was confirmed my order had been cancelled! The rep over the phone couldn’t understand why or what he had done. The supervisor also flagged my account trying to make it hard for me to get anything done. I’m am the one for a challenge!

I’ve been a Verizon customer for around 20 years, and been to multiple stores across the Chicagoland area, but I have to say that my experience today at this store was the most painless one I’ve ever had. I went there for Account/discount review and to purchase new products, and somehow I was in and out in less than 20 mins. The staff were all friendly and helpful, but extra praise to the guy who primarily assisted me, I believe his name was Andre. Super knowledgeable and helpful and, equally important, very efficient and moved fast. I will be going back to this store exclusively for now on.

I just wish that I could give them 0 stars. Just terrible place for business. Lets go Verizon shut them down. Bought a new phone. Was in and out of the store in about 20 minutes. Great! Knew phone that I was getting so got a case and left no questions asked by salesman. Few weeks later got my bill and noticed Verizon Protect dont know anything about it and salesman never asked me anything about that. I searched and Google told me its insurance on the phone. Question is this? Why would I pay for insurance thats more expensive than the phone? I know why. Because sales people in that store are thought to be insurance crooks. Again Corporate Verizon PLEASE shut them down. What team will look into it. There is no team. You guys are just a bunch of crooks

With the super long wait times, I was on the phone trying to get a hold of someone for hours with no luck. I went into the store and Jay helped me finally get someone on the line after talking to many people to resolve my unique issue. I had to go into the store twice and both times Jay was extremely patient and kind. He took the time to help me find a solution to an annoying and complicated problem. Thank you!!

I started off ordering myself a new phone, my current phone was a Samsung S8. I placed the order online with curbside pickup at the local Verizon store outside of Gurnee Mills. Got the email that my curbside order was ready at 9:30 AM, yea I get to set up my new phone over the weekend. I went over at 11:30 AM, checked in on the app as they request. And then wait, 5 minutes go by I am still waiting, now 10 minutes (would have thought I would have it by now, most curbside are complete by this point). Waited 15 minutes, okay now I go in to check on the status to make sure all is good. The guy at the door tells me I need to check-in, I told him I checked in over 15 minutes ago for curbside, was told rudely that I had to wait outside. I was trying to find out how much longer it would be and all I was told is I had to wait outside. Now I am at 20 minutes of my lunchtime and cannot wait for them to process this in their time. So, I left without the phone I had an order that was ready for curbside pickup.I get home and call customer service to have the order canceled, at this point, I no longer want to work with the store. I was first told I had to wait the three days for it to auto-cancel (WHAT??????). Final got up to a manager, I review the story with them. They offer to reach out to the store to see if this can be corrected, I give them the go-ahead. Their attempts to contact the store by phone go unanswered.And I have been with them for over two decades now.At this point I have them cancel the order out.No at this point I am extremely disappointed with Verizon overall and now have me questioning them as a provider. Also was told that they reached out to the manager and ask them to contact me.This all started on 14AUG2020 a is now 17AUG2020 and still no contact from the store manager!

I want to give less due to the hour + wait I had to endure but the service I received when I finally was helped was above and beyond.Andre was finally able to help me around 7:30pm and continued to help me an hour and a half after the store actually closed at 8pm. Yes I was there for 2 hours. Andre finally figured out why we couldnt port a number over and had to painfully wait on hold while someone connected him to someone who could figure out how things got screwed up so bad on the phone we ordered. I wont bore with the details but just know that not only Andre stayed late to help customers but 2 other employees did to ensure complete customer satisfaction with others at the counter.

I went into the store cash in hand to purchase a new phone, sales rep talked me into making payments on the phone so I would get a FREE 10 tablet. Trust me nothings for FREE, I ended up with a payment I didnt want to start with! A tablet I dont use, and of course the extra line that goes with it! An extra insurance payment! then verizon had locked into a payment contract!! that contracted payment was made of the device & line, 2 gig of data package, line for tablet, insurance for each device !!! device paid off come in upgrade your device SHOP NOW !! Funny my payment never decreased when my device was payed off & I was ready to spend more on an upgrade ??? Is that extra $$$ VERIZON still collects go towards my new available upgrade/or to cover the cost of all that great free or discounted service your company advertises for select groups!!! Then YOU pushed & pushed paperless billing, I folded & switched ! now I drive to the store for paperless billing payments, paper can be RECYCLED, I add wear & tear to my vehicle(Ill have to replace sooner) I add to the air pollution, I wear my non degradeable rubber tires faster, adding to the waste dumps quicker, I burn threw more gas, thats made from OIL!!! I just want to know how that helps the planet??? And the kicker, I didnt think the store was concidered an essential bussiness to be open during the state lock down. Hence last months payment was late, I went into store to make payment. 3 people working, but not to except cash payments! So I try the kiosk for my cash payment and due to the lack of property maintenance it hardly ever works !!! now they think i should drive to a Western Union for my payment! I jump thru enough hoops to pay for your service !!!! New bill ready last bill still due, now I get B.S. e-mail bout my late payment. Ive been on the fence about changing providers, Im due for a new phone and was concidering an upgrade to the 5G service and new phone thru T-mobile!!!! UPDATE: the crazy manager must have good friends because I started getting messages from a fictitious employee from Verizon sending me to get my money back to another branch, of course when I got there, it was not true. Then this fictitious employee accessed my email associated with the account and changed my password. Also, my zip code in my Verizon account was changed mysteriously which caused my account to be blocked . I had to hire a lawyer and an independent investigator to be able to sue Verizon for fraud and mental distress. This Gurnee branch is a nest of snakes. STAY AWAY! IF YOU VALUE YOUR MONEY AND PEACE.After 12 years of being a loyal customer, I am leaving and not looking back thanks to this branch. That Steve self claimed manager, needs to have his head examined. Told me to get out of HIS store. When I told him I had been gong five days because they said I had to talk to a manager and there was not any, his response was I DON’T CARE. Stopped in today on the way to Summerfest in Milwaukee to get new phones and Eddie helped us. We told him we were in a hurry because we had to meet some people and he knocked it out of the park. Got checked in instantly after arriving at the store but downhill from there. Went to look at new phones and new plan and the sales guy went immediately to the back to talk with the manager to see what kind of deal he could work up. Sales guy came back with a bunch of pumped up packages with all kinds of high margin accessories and services we werent interested in. Dont waste your time. Went to Best Buy and got a $200 gift card after buying a Samsung phone and they actually asked me what I wanted instead of pushing some made up packaged deals.

There is always a long wait at this location. However, If you do sign up with Verizon know this: if you cancel in the middle of your billing cycle you’re paying for the whole cycle. They don’t prorate bills. I found out the hard way when I canceled my service in the middle of my billing cycle and I was told it’s their policy to not give any refund for unused service. Plus the only reason I canceled my service was because Verizon doesn’t come in well any where around the Wadsworth area. Guess it’s not the best network after all. So subscriber beware.Don’t be fooled by their response below. I did contact them and never heard anything back.

Not great service in store...didnt offer differences or advice around phone choices without me prying or asking questions...also might be a lack of perception, but didnt even offer to help switch and set up the new phone even after making several comments about my dads lack of technology savvy and knowing I was the owner of the account.They just said to connect to wifi, and the store was empty. Very disappointing! Pay more attention to your customers and maybe try setting them up before they leave (or at least offer)the store. Ive never been in and out of a Verizon so fast and now I know why.

Verizon is one of the worst companies to deal with but the store in Gurnee Mills is filled with garbage. These hair gelled salesmen are the worst, only helping the potential sales yet ignoring the people with problems.I was there for a solid hour and a half and saw as they treated people with problems with disdain and even subtle abuse (rudeness). I heard over and over Its not our problem Its not our policy Its not our fault We dont handle that, you have to contact the company for any kind of warranty and so on. I paid attention. And they are ghouls. Despicable the way they treat customers with problems. I heard a woman say to one d**cheb*g saleperson But you sold it to me, you personally, I remember. His response was No I didnt, and even if I did, its not my problem. You broke it, you have to go through Asurion to fix it.Meanwhile, while they were lying to me, they were joking around with not only racist jokes but also misogynistic comments on the women who came into the store. They figured since I was a guy, I was cool with their manchild language. One woman who apparently was a regular there, came in to say hello to everyone and was universally shunned. They made fun of her and one sales guy literally told her to get lost in so many words, ignoring her, not even looking up from his phone, and making her feel like garbage.I had to sit through all that, all the while holding my nose from this Ickabod Crane type character with rotting teeth in his mouth spewing hideous halitosis toward me. I had to go home and take a shower to get his stench off my face. I wish I were joking. I could smell it in the car when I left.I would pay money to never step foot in this place ever again.

Went to exchange the note 7 but instead the employees decided to make jokes as well as bets on the color of a customers shirt (which was obviously well worn out). They also ASKED the customer if the shirt (which had a few holes) came in the faded color or if it was just old. In front of other customers, employees and family.Absolutely the most disrespectful people no matter when I go. Been waiting for over 25 mins while there are 4 managers just standing around, joking, laughing and jamming out to music. I get it that managers cant sell, but maybe have more sales people than managers at your store? My husband wanted to get a new phone and we were considering switching my phone to Verizon. But we were waiting and there was one rep helping one customer while the 4 managers that apparently cant help are just standing there. They seemed to care less that we were waiting for them. Terrible customer service. I do not recommend anyone to come here because theyre not helpful at all.

I am really disappointed in the fact that I have been with Verizon (Primeco) and how they keep trying to get money out of us. My son got his phone at this location and and was in the DEPS at Great Lakes Naval Base. We specifically wanted a global phone and the label describing the phone said it was Global. Apparently, now that my son is on deployment 1 year later, 1/2 way around the world his phone doesnt work. The sales reps should be better trained. They are just miles away from the base and they arent explaining this the military customers. I think this is unacceptable. They are suppose to help the public pick out the right phone. How do we know it only is global in certain countries. Verizon Global explained the phones to me and I am just so disappointed. I am going to attempt with Verizon again. I have shown loyalty and hope that they do too. My son is out there to protect their rights, lets get with it here people. I hope this helps the next military personal for inquiring about phones. Be aware and be careful. Research before you buy, they forget to tell you things and then it is your problem. I own a business and know that I could not get away with this attitude. Sometimes when my employees make a mistake, I have to eat it. To big for britches I guess.

I guess I was MISLEAD and fell for it!!!! I bought an I PHONE 6 EDGE told me the LEASING ASPECT was $31 a month and could give me a $25 CREDIT MONTHLY!! so only $6 dollars a month more (OK WITH THAT).. Bought and IPAD MINI for $229 and a BOSE SPEAKER which I was told I had 2 months to pay (OK ILL TAKE IT) Like $169. Ok with my $131.00 bill would be around $530-575... I brought my daughters phone case in as the silicone part of her case had torn away at the seam. It was under warranty and I was told it would be replaced. The store manager barely looked at the phone and said it would not be replaced. He accused my daughter of dropping/abusing the case. I advised him that the outer shell was undamaged. A soft silicone shell would not tear at a seam from being dropped. He did not examine the case and refused to replace it. I called Verizon today and they sent me a replacement. It is a shame because before now we had received good customer service from Verizon Gurnee but after being treated this way by a manager, we will take our business elsewhere.

In my 10 years of experience with Verizon, the stores have been absolutely worthless and rude when it comes to customer service. This one and the one on 120 in Grayslake are both terrible. Sent us the wrong phone and the store claimed they could do nothing to help us. Called the 800 number and they claimed we could exchange the phone at any apple store no questions asked. Not true. Finally ended up getting this resolved at the helpful Vernon Hills store after 3 painful hours.If you go to the Gurnee store do not give Jeff your business. People who resent their customers dont deserve a commission.
