I had a very similar experience as the other poster. Entered the store at my scheduled appointment time. All three representatives were helping other customers. I browsed around the store and checked out all the different products and devices. After about 20 mins, one of the representatives came by, impatiently and rudely processed my return. Its not the time that I waited nor the fact I was not greeted when I entered. It was the whole return of the merchandise encounter and the exchange that I had with the person which compelled me to write this review. I am certain I had the same exact representative as the other reviewer; since right after I read his review of the store, I got the same irritating feeling as I was walking out of the store. Verizon please take note. Weve been with Verizon for more than 30 years, and wireless customer for more than 15. This was the worst experience that Ive ever had.

If I could give 0 starts I would. I generally never need to go into a store to manage my account or make purchases. However, Verizon customer service sent me in to exchange a defective pop socket that was shipped to me for my sister. Upon entering the store I was greeted by a sales rep that was assisting another customer purchase a new device. The sales rep seemed annoyed as I was entering the store. He asked me what I needed and I advised him that customer service rep sent me in to exchange a pop socket I purchased online that I was unable to return due to it being purchased as part of a bundle deal. When I handed the pop socket to the sales rep he looked at it and said do you want the same one? I replied with any pop socket will do at this point he looked at me and said it is going to be a minute and continued with his customer. I happen to notice this persons name tag and it appears that he is the store manager. After some commotion trying to find pop sockets out of a basket full I was given 2 options and told to pick I said it did not matter I just wanted it exchanged he yelled it is for your device sir, in which I replied no it isnt so I just picked one out he exchanged it handed it to me and did not even acknowledge that I said thank you for your help. This is terrible customer service. I worked in this business for over 14 years in the past and managed multiple Verizon authorized retailer locations. I know this type of customer service is not reflective of Verizon over all. I was extremely upset at how I was treated at this location yesterday. I would have had no problem waiting until someone freed up to assist me. I 100% understand when processing a sale it requires your undivided attention. I was in no hurry at all. Needless to say I will not be returning to this location. Overall it seems this store has gone down hill over the recent years. So beware!

I think I draw the line at an employee (Joana R) trying to get physical with me, to the point where she had to be held back by another employee. What an embarrassment to the company to be represented by such an individual.

Today on 8/2/21 went to Verizon that is located on Jonestown road looking for help with watch pairing to cellphone the information I received from one of the workers was incorred never went to my account to found out how things were setup just inform me I was sold the wrong watch for my phone which was not true I have a galaxy watch 3 and a 5G note. I felt this was told to me so I could just leave I will never return to this location again very unprofessional the next step I will get his name and report him to corporate so this individual can learn what customer service means.

Walked in at 5pm on a Monday and was told they were closed and no one could help me. Your business hours via google maps says that the hours were updated by the business three weeks ago. Monday, you close at 8pm… if these hours have fluctuated and changed within three weeks… I’d recommend posting that change. Especially so customers don’t drive out from however far they’ve travelled, to just get turned away. I wasn’t even asked why I was there, just told “We are closed and no associates are available to help you”. Can’t be good for business, or customer perspective of your outlook on customer service, to close 3 hours earlier than published, and not even really care why a customer is there. Won’t return to this store at all.

Went to upgrade phones, and the store had no Samsung phones. Wow.... Went to a nearby Best Buy and got them in minutes. Came back to the Verizon store and the tech was helpful and made sure our plans were as we wanted them and we had the appropriate insurance.

Walked into the store and was told to sit and wait over there and waited for about 15 to 30 mins. In that time I saw an employee help someone else who was there before us and not even ask what we needed. Then they proceeded to help somebody who came in after us. Once Courtney was free, she helped us with all of our questions and was great!

Walked in to make a small change on my account. Walked up to a guy sitting down playing on his phone. I asked him to help me and he told me he cannot help me TODAY and to call customer service due to staffing issues. I told him that there was nobody else in the store, he looked at me and said sorry and started playing with his phone again. Terrible customer service!!!

Bought a new iPhone, at this store, one month ago. Phone would not hold a charge. Defective battery. The salesman informed me that my phone would be replaced with a refurbished model. I explained that my phone was only a month old. He was extremely rude, turned his backand walked away. After inquiring if my battery could be replaced, the salesman’s sarcastic response was “good luck with that. Go to the Apple store they made the phone.” Never will do business with store again.

I bought a new phone from here. I paid for AppleCare. Apparently the agent never actually applied it to my line, so after contacting apple, they expect me to lose 200$ for their negligence. They claim that I agree to those terms. Who agrees to paying for a service and not receiving it???*****UPDATE AUGUST 1,2021After getting my credit card company involved, they refunded my money. A week later Verizon rechargedme the 199.97$. Since it’s hard to get Verizon to help or converse, I have contacted my credit card company again to start this cycle over again. RUN. As a customer for 23 years I recommend you run.

I made an appointment via the My Verizon app earlier in the day. I checked in via the app once I arrived.I needed a new 5G capable SIM card for a new Samsung Galaxy S21 for my wife as well as service transferred from her old phone to the S21.The staff wanted to make sure I transferred my data from the old phone to the new one. I think they were surprised when I already had the data migration completed.As the agent was moving the service to the new SIM, he noticed my Batman themed ball cap and my homemade Batman themed facemask.He queried me about who I thought the best movie Batman is. I answered Kevin Conroy, noting that Batman Mask of the Phantasm did have a theatrical release. He had a small epiphany when he realized it was in theaters and he enjoyed getting an answer other than Bale or Keaton.He then told me a great story about how he got to be an extra in the stadium scene in The Dark Knight Rises.So in short I got great, courteous, expedient service and a stimulating conversation about Batman.

If youre in the Harrisburg area it will be worth your time and trouble to go to the Verizon store on the Carlisle Pike and Mechanicsburg. The manager there in Mechanicsburg Verizon was able to resolve an issue and take care of me unlike the Harrisburg store on jonestown road. Very disappointed with the lack of service the Harrisburg store provided but very impressed with the store and Mechanicsburg. I dealt with David Click, who was personable, understood my frustration and did everything possible until he was able to resolve my resolution. I live on the east side of Harrisburg and it was about a 45 minute drive to Mechanicsburg, however I will drive there every time I need anything because how well they treat their customers.

I always have an incredible experience.The staff goes above and beyond to help.They handle themselves professionally with customers.While I was there an elderly gentleman with a flip phone cursing, he was disgusted with his phone. My guess was he probably had it forever n needed a new one.They took him in n he came out happy n with a bag, anew flip phone was my guess.My hats off to the Verizon staff in Harrisburg, PA.Thank you Jeff and Courtney!

My Husband and I had an awesome experience! We bought 4 new phones. They found rebates we didnt know we qualified for. Not bad for a Verizon store... They are friendly and helpful at this store. They do try hard to sell you extras... but that is what they are prob trained to do. The wait times can be long at times... that is prob just because they are one of the only official Verizon stores in the area anymore. I would definitely shop here before going to an authorized retailer... because at the official store they can do more for you.

After 15 years they made it so terribly hard to cancel my account. Could not do it online which told me to go to store. The store then said I could only cancel by phone. Luckily the rep stayed with me while I spent 20 minutes attempting to get through to a phone rep to cancel. Then when I asked for a confirmation of the disconnection via email they hung up. After this I think Im going to cancel my FIOS also. Highly doubt I will ever go back. A technology company should have the capability to easily handle any transaction electronically.

Very bad experience. I understand we are in the midst of a pandemic but there is still such a thing as customer service. Spent $1500 on a new phone and accessories and was assured they would be able to put the phone the phone together and assist with the transfer of the data. When I arrived they said no and that on-line customer service said the wrong information. I admit I was extremely agitated and care across very strong but the manager, whose name out of respect, I wont type here was extremely rude. I do admit I was extremely agitated after spending so much money and being assured multiple times that everything would be taken care of. WILL NOT GO TO THE HARRISBURG STORE EVER AGAIN!!!!!

Recently went here to trade in a phone (Best Buy helped me get a new phone through them) and the one employee was very rude to my husband and I. She was angry she didnt get the sale and jokes that she could have used that to help pay for her kids. She talked down on Best Buy and said that they lied to us and could have down the trade in there (which is wrong). She insinuated we were dumb for believing them. Very dissatisfied with this store. Will go to Best Buy every time I can.

Very disappointed with the service ive received. I got fios for literally 1 week and ended up cancelling service since i could not get reception. This was back in November. I have called multiple times and have gotten the same promise that i would be refunded by the 20th of the following month. I have gotten the same response every time and now i just say on hold for 40 minutes, got transfered to multiple unrelated departments and then got hung up on. I hate leaving negative reviews but this is rediculous

Went to purchase a phone here, they didnt have the one I wanted which is understandable, so I purchased it from them on their online portal and had it shipped to my house; I even paid extra for shipping sooner. The person I was working with said I could come in and have everything switched over once it came in. Well needless to say after receiving my phone Monday afternoon, I went in Monday evening to have everything switched. I was told by another associate that I have to do it myself through an app and was given a paper. That was it. I asked what happens if I have trouble switching it over, I was told then I could come back in if I have trouble. So why couldnt I get help the first time. If I would have known this is how it is once they get your money I would have paid for it online and not wasted my time going to an actual Verizon store. Waste of time and money. Poor customer service. If I was confident enough to transfer it myself why would I have gone back and asked for help? Not going back unless I have to.

The Verizon Store on Jonestown Road has the best customer service and a clean, quiet, organized atmosphere. I went there after hearing from a friend that it is better than the store near Costco. I am so glad I did! Nathan [and Jason] were both incredibly helpful and answered all my questions. I was able to make a very informed decision and walked out feeling confident and happy. I love my new phone and highly recommend this store to anyone that needs help with their phone or wants a new accessory. Nathan was helpful without being pushy and he spent over an hour with me and answered all my questions. I have already texted him several questions about my new phone and he responded right away. Spent over two hours here after my boyfriends phone stopped working. They had him switch to a business account from prepaid, and during that they LOST AND ERASED HIS PHONE NUMBER IN THEIR SYSTEM! How is that possible? And he has a business which means he needs to receive important calls. We are still waiting here to see if they can recover his number, and all he needed was a new phone!

David A. helped me. He was very knowledgeable. It took him no time at all to solve an issue I had. He was a person who went above and beyond. He brought the manager out who approved a special circumstance I encountered. I appreciated that very much. I had the note 7 which almost destroyed my service with verizon. I was charged multiple times. I got the original refund however I was charged multiple times as well. It never should have been handled so poorly. I however continued with them and they have been better than ever to me.

We went here to change to a better cell service. The whole process took entirely too long but we just delt with it. If you do not have hours to waste, dont come here. Thought everything was good, and we got our first phone bill, $150 dollars more than what we were told it would be! The sales lady at the store either lied intentionally or has no idea what she is doing. We got a watch that she said was covered by our trade ins plus a few other accessories that she said were covered. Well guess what, the watch was most definitely not covered and we are sending it back now. Just be very careful with what you are told here. At least the representatives on the phone were helpful!

This store had serviced my wireless needs for years. They have slowly descended into a factory feel with personal service that isnt personal but vacant. They do not service anything at the store, I knew this going in. I tried tech support and none of the proposed fixes were working. I needed someone to say yes its under warranty lets get you a repair. When discussing my phones quirks, the manager didnt even make eye contact. I eventually got them to order a replacement.

I was a bit disappointed in the sales experience this time. Having been a Verizon customer both personally and as a business owner, the great majority of my experiences have been between good and exceptional. The representative who met with me gave me the impression I was an inconvenience to him. Rarely looking me in the eye, giving me disinterested answers to my questions. I will be going back. Hopefully, if I get him again, both of our experiences will be better. If not, I will be speaking to management.

Worst experience I have ever had in a retail store and Verizon should be ashamed of the policies they have! I purchased a phone on New Years Day and thought I was getting a good deal on both a phone and tablet... the same deal I got two years ago. The screen protector they put on the phone, did not sit right and it was bubbling on both sides. The MANAGER said it was because of the cold in the warehouse and that it would go away with time. It just got worse as the days progressed. I got tired of it when I got the tablet. The tablet they didnt have in the store which was fine, but if I would have known that it was 2 inches bigger than the phone. AS SOON AS I got the tablet, didnt even take it out of the box, I took it back to the store along with the phone. They said they have a 7 day return policy, so I figured with my dissatisfaction, they would take the devices back no questions asked. This was not the case, I was charged $50 per device for restocking fee. I work in retail and if I charge a customer a restocking fee, it indicates the customer actually used the item or there was some usage involved. I am okay with paying $50 for the phone, even though I used it for all of about 3 days, but I never took the tablet out of the box and never did anything with it!!! The manager was not willing to do anything, so I got fed up and asked them to get my old device back into working condition. Currently I am looking for new phone service, and it certainly will not be here! I also have about 10 tablets/laptops I will be looking for in the near future for our company and I will NOT be taking our business here for sure. Shame on you Verizon!

There is a reason the sales reps are no longer called sales reps in this store. Myself being a sales professional, the Solution Specialist Cameron was nothing but a glorified traffic cone!! My mother and I went into the Verizon on Jonestown Road to find out how to lower our bill and sync my email. Jose was awesome! He was able to find the correct app to use to sync with my email on my phone and tablet.He was also able to determine that my mothers bill included an international reoccurring payment from last year. We called customer support and we received a credit.We cant thank Jose enough, he is an amazing part of the Verizon team. So now we wont go to Sprint and we are going to stay with Verizon because of Jose and his great customer service!!!
