This is the only Verizon store I go to. The people in here have always been so nice and have gone above and beyond to help. Stephanie has helped me a few times and really helps with getting the best deals. She is one that doesnt try to sell you something you dont need. Which I appreciate so much.

Complacency does not even begin to describe the employees that fill these stores. I understand zero percent of what they are trained on or even what their purpose is in the store. They don’t know how to do anything and the online automated options are their suggestions. They are completely incompetent of even offering some assistance or making it seem like they care about what it is you’re doing. I’ve been to 3 stores across VA and they’re all just as unmotivated and unhelpful as one another. At least this level of negligence is the standard. Seriously took time out of my day to write this response because they’re role in the store is unneeded. Get rid of store fronts because everything should be done online and is designed for such. Cannot Imagine working everyday with no effort to be somewhat better, or provide customers actual service. Thanks for literally nothing.

Arrived early for appointment and they werent busy so I was admitted. I was channelled to Stephanie who looked rumpled. I had made the appointment to fact find and try to arrive at what new phone would do the job for me. Stephanie never really listened to me and started to pepper me with questions regarding price. Ipatiently explained that I would like to know more about the phones before deciding how much to spend and how to purchase. It was obvious that Stephanie didnt really want to help me repeatedly mentioning online options which I explained I wasnt interested. While discussing one model she stated the camera would be better than my current phone. I asked her how much better. Her reply was I could Google it, clearly meaning I should do that myself. I had to ask her to do so ...and she seemed put out to have to do that. After again bringing up online options I asked her if I could have a store person transfer the data to the new phone. See started pressing buttons on her phone and went into an explanation about the app.It was obvious that my overall reason for being there, my quest for actual specs about phones, and my hope that I would find someone helpful.. was NOT going to happen so I thanked her and left.I had more questions regarding battery charge length, type of charger connection, amount of memory (ram) etc.It was too hard to get information from her ....I felt I had been introduced to an opponent.I came away wondering why Verizon has a store. There was no way Stephanie could have helped me because she didnt do what all good sales people do......Listen.

I think there must have been a covid outbreak at this store. I’m switching carriers, there is no sane reason for this store to be closed unless they personally had an outbreak. Totally unreasonable, va is in phase 2. Come on Verizon, do better...for the customers who haven’t switched.

My husband and I were connecting our numbers from our parents phone plans and every time we went into the store, the staff was super helpful. We spoke with two different sales reps and they were knowledgeable and told us exactly what to do to make sure everything was right when we came in to open our new account and upgrade our phones. We worked with Bill twice and he was very pleasant and helpful. We waited in the store today for an hour and a half, but working with him made it better. He listened to everything we wanted and gave us tips about our new phones. He even offered us his cell number just in case we had any problems or needed to call him and set up an appointment to go into the store and talk with him! Definitely impressive. Everyone there was helpful and updated us about why the wait was so long. Every time before that, the wait was nothing. Beware when you go in on a Saturday though. Expect a wait then, but others days of the week were great for us!

Worst customer service Ive seen in quite some time. I called several days before visiting the store to make sure they could provide what I wanted. I made an appointment so things would go smoothly when I arrived. I was told twice they had the phone I wanted and they could port my number. At my appointment, they did not have the phone I requested and tried to convince me to take another number. I insisted I wanted to port the old number and I bought a phone they had on hand and paid, then was informed the port may not work correctly, but it should. I should just wait a week or two and see and come back if it didnt. I told him never mind, to refund my money and I didnt need the phone. Then he said it would work, and activated my the new phone and said it would port my number in a day or so. I left with a phone that can call out, but cant receive calls yet and I have no confidence that it ever will. I hope it works out, but even if it does, the experience was so strange that I no longer have a positive opinion of Verizon like I used to. So disappointing.

Was with a friend choosing a prepaid plan. Verizon was cheaper than AT&T across the street. The staff were quick responsive and friendly (much more so than the AT&T staff). Id still recommend trying both to see who is cheaper but if they are the same go with Verizon.

Pretty smooth, but I wasnt buying anything. There were like 5 customers, and 8 employees, so I got attention the moment I walked in. Crystal, I think was the girls name. My phone was busted, had extended warranty plan, they scanned my info and had a new one sent the next day (today). Was surprisingly painless and almost pleasant. Again, I didnt have to deal with them for any extended period of time so I cant say much about the actual customer service experience if I were buying a new phone/line/transferring etc.

A few months ago I decided to switch from StrightTalk to Verizon, I purchased a phone and I needed help switching things over, cause I couldn’t do it myself. I walk into the door and a employee came to me and said, “What do you want?” And I told her what I needed help with she sat me down and told me to figure it out and if need further help then to come find her. I proceed to sit down and tried to figure out setting up the phone, I had to track her down numerous times to help me. Whenever I did find her, she gave me an attitude and rolled her eyes ever time I needed help. And every time she would tell me to figure it out and would go and talk to other employees. She finally sat down with me for a minute, after pretty much making her and told me that she is going on a break and would be back in 15 minutes. I waited for this women for 2 HOURS. I never saw her again. I asked other people to help but no one had much interest. I was in the store for a total of 3 HOURS. Just for trying to get help with switching my number and other things over from my previous provider. POOR customer service! Will never consider going to this provider after being treated so poorly.

Dont waste your time. I went into this store for a phone upgrade and was greeted at the door by a man that took my information and told me that I would be next for help. I waited over 45 minutes while the associates chatted with others. I went to walk out and the man at the door asked if I wanted him to take me off the list. I said Yes, I cant wait this long and he said OK, see ya. Thats it. No sorry that it took so long. No let me see how much longer it will be. Nothing. I think that he is used to people walking out. I went over to Best Buy and was in and out in about the same amount of time that I had been waiting at Verizon. I will never use this store again.

Bad service here. My son took my phone in to have an issue fixed. (Could not send certain text messages but could send others). The tech was told we did not want anything deleted because of some very important things on there. Well, the tech took the phone, worked on it, and said it was fixed. His fix was to delete the whole string of texts, thereby deleting some information that I need and that was important, to me. It was important enough to me, that I will no longer trust them and definitely will no longer do business with them. He could have at least said what he was going to do before he did it. If he didnt know how to fix it, we could have taken it elsewhere. We assumed, wrongly, that Verizon employees know about Verizon phones.

I love this place!!!Its the only Verizon I will ever go to, because they have great customer service. I was a little worried because I thought I was going to take longer then 1 hour today for my lunch break around 11 am which is the businest time. Yet they amazed me when they did my full upgrade, accessories, and payments under 30 minutes!!! People really dont understand how good they are and Im kind of astonished how people are not happy with there service. Theyre one of a kind, and if you need a great company to be with theyre the way to go! PS Crystal was my agent.

Don’t waste your time here unless you’re wanting to spend money. The woman who helped me was rude, impatient, and had no idea how to fix my phone. She told me to log into the apple store and then walked away. I stood waiting for a half hour while several employees cozied up with people wanting to buy phones and the remaining stood leisurely chatting with others. I finally left and went to Waynesboro where every employee was activity helping customers and after a few minutes someone checked in with me, fixed my phone in 30 seconds, and was super friendly and didn’t make me feel like I was putting them out in any way. I suppose if you’re not contributing to a commission check, you aren’t important at the Harrisonburg location 🤷🏽‍♀️

The staff is utterly clueless about how to provide good customer service. They show up when the store opens (not before) and spend time prepping the store for business while customers, who have been waiting in the parking lot, cool their heels inside the store waiting to be served.The attitude of the staff, if and when they deign to serve you, is equally off-putting, as though they are imagining dollar signs with legs standing in front of them instead of people. I have never been presented with options that were less than the most expensive options available, and have often felt that my disinterest in spending more than I need to classifies me - in their minds - as a nuisance who must be ushered out as quickly as possible.

I have 2 experiences to relay regarding the Harrisonburg Verizon location. This past Saturday while hiking, my phone screen blacked out, however, there was still power to my cell. That evening, I went in to Verizon (note: it was during JMU Homecoming and the store was not busy). Anyway, I left very disappointed with the service to the point, I considered switching providers. Each question I had was met with an answer of assumption such as I should already know the how tos. There was an unwillingness to assist. Today was totally different! I went in and was met by Quinton Tanner. He offered much more information and showed he genuinely cared about providing excellent customer service. He took the proper degree of care to show me the steps needed to access what I inquired of and that I understood. He had a wealth of information and he made sure I was informed about particular functions on my phone and different plan information. Needless to say, Quinton (he goes by Q) saved the account! So, seek out Q when visiting this location!

Probably one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had to deal with. I was in the store yesterday and was waited on by this girl, not mentioning any names on here but it was completely ridiculous. I was told on the phone and in store here in Waynesboro that I didn’t have to be a Verizon customer in order to buy a phone from them. However the Waynesboro store did not have the phone in stock so they told me I could go to Harrisonburg to buy the phone. I was willing to drop over $700 dollars for this phone and this woman said “oh you have to be a Verizon customer I can’t sell it to you” and walked off and acted like I wasn’t even there and she said it with the worst attitude ever. She asked a manager and the manager just whispered to her acting like we were invisible so we just walked out. Ended up ordering the phone unlocked cheaper on eBay. Worst service ever.

I would rather stand in line at the DMV. Verizon is always crowed, there is always a wait. Sometimes they fix the problem or answer the question, sometimes they dont. Sometimes going back a second time for a different rep works. But it shouldnt waste that much of my time!I agree that they are not ready for business when the store opens.And once I had agreed to meet a rep at the hour the store opened...and he forgot; didnt come in at all.

Had to go into VERISON two times in one week because the first time they didnt solve the problem. The lady who helped me the 2nd time was rude and tried to convince me twice that I didnt have warranty on my phone (which Ive had under a year) and that they couldnt back up my phone and Id lose all my pictures. I was so frustrated and right before breaking down and crying another man chimed in to try a wireless charger (bless him) which she said that wont work. Which IT DID. THANK GOD. Does it really take tears to get a reaction out of them? Then after leaving ( having to Buy a wireless charger) they blocked the door because were playing a prank on the coworker. WOW. REALLY? Plus seeing them taking smoke breaks next to the building is very unprofessional. Not a great experience. Never want to go back again. (I have to admit the guy who rung me up for the wireless charger was very kind and the only thing that I can say was positive)

This place is AWFUL. Went in to ask a question and it took me 45 minutes to ultimately get sent home to figure out the problem myself. If you are having trouble I would ask an online chat person first before heading in there and waisting an hour of your day. Half of the employees seem to be talking to each other and standing around rather than helping people in the store. Overall terrible service.

Awful service. I counted 8 employees in the floor and no one asked me for help. They were all socializing in small circles. After I asked someone for a product a sales person went to seek it out. 15 minutes later they came out of the stock room with another person, laughing and ignored me. I walked out.
