I had a routine battery issue with a laptop that takes some time to resolve. The folks at BlueRidgeMac were professional, gave accurate price estimates, and worked hard to turn it around efficiently. They completed the repair faster than estimated in order to get me back to work as soon as possible. I would highly recommend them for Apple service.

My daughter shattered the glass on her phone as she accidentally dropped it on a rock. Less than 1 hour from the time it broke, Jennings had it repaired. These guys are awesome!! Highly recommend. Thank you for great service!!!

The guy was awesome. I went in to replace my keyboard and they had estimated it would take 5 business days to complete since they had to order the parts. I told him that I was doing all my classes online and it would be really hard to do those on my phone. They gave me my fixed laptop back the following business days. I am so thankful and they did a marvelous job. Definitely recommend based on my experience.

My 2017 MacBook Pro keyboard was losing keys left and right, while others were merely sticky. I emailed BlueRidge Mac, received a quick response, and was scheduled for a curbside appointment just a few days later. I just picked up my laptop (4 days later) and it has a new faceplate/keyboard. Everyone I interacted with was kind and professional. Good service, and my AppleCare+ covered the cost! I highly recommend!

They successfully replaced the battery in my 2012 macbook pro. I drove up from Richmond because nobody in the Richmond area was open due to COVID-19. I am a teacher and my computer was down...not good for online school. Jennings advised me on some home diagnostics and then made an appointment for me to bring it in. Dropped it off curbside and it was ready to go a couple days later. They called me to let me know an additional part was bad and got service authorization and also called to let me know it was ready. Cant ask for more!

I just went there to find out why a laptop I was about to buy wasnt charging and the guy there figured it out right away and offered to sell me a brand new charger which was a dollar cheaper than Best Buy. He was super nice and personable. Great place to go.

In all my interactions with these guys, they have always proved themselves trustworthy, thorough, and timely. I use them for all of my AppleCare needs and they have always told me what to expect upfront and when to expect it.Even if they have to ship the repair off, its still faster for them to do it then to go through Apple directly.They also sell a bunch of gear to compliment your Mac setup. Go browse and if you dont see what you want just ask.

Excellent price, turnaround and service. Took my MacBook Pro there today because Apple confirmed what I had researched - the battery needed to be replaced. Apple said it would cost $199 plus installation/diagnostics and thats exactly what JMU Book Store was going to charge only they needed to order the battery and I think they would have had a much longer turn around. Jeremy at Blue Ridge Mac said come on over; he confirmed that the battery needed to be replaced and had the job done within 30 minutes for $170 total. He also helped me troubleshoot an iPhone issue.

Their return policy screwed me out of $80. They made up some lie about how Apple prevents them from returning an opened charger. Would have been nice if they had explained their return policy before I bought it. Dont go here!

Blue Ridge Mac has helped me twice! A year ago, during a transfer process that failed, I thought that about 100 pictures that were very important to me were gone! I was VERY grateful when they were able to retrieve them! Last week I took my mac in again since it seemed there were some bug and security issues that had come up. It is cleanly working again and I appreciate BlueRidgeMac being there! I live 1 hour away so I dropped my computer off on a Friday on the way to DC and they arranged with a friend, two stores down, so I could pick it up on a Saturday when I was traveling back through.

I am extremely unhappy with my experience here. I took my MacBook here for an issue with the display going dark. When I dropped off the Mac, the computer had power, and was functioning in every way EXCEPT the backlight not working. (When holding a light to the back of the screen, I could use the computer normally.) I dropped it off expecting a fairly simple fix. The next day, the technician sent me a text saying that there was a significant liquid spill inside, and that I would have to replace the Main Logic Board, which would run me $559. I felt like we weren’t even talking about the same computer and I knew nothing about a recent liquid spill into the computer. I declined service and went to pick up my computer. They offered to waive the $69 diagnostic fee if I “abandoned” the computer with them. I declined, with the intention of bringing it home in the same functioning state that I left it with them in, and just use an external monitor. Upon returning home, I’ve discovered that now the computer is COMPLETELY broken and won’t even power on. I feel like I’ve been scammed by a shady mechanic. They are very unfriendly, couldn’t fix the actual problem I took the computer in for, created new problems and and left me with a non-functional laptop.

What a delight it was to bring my trusty OLD Mac into BlueRidgeMac today . I rely very heavily on this laptop, and had somehow locked it up tight yesterday. I was thrilled to discover that Harrisonburg has this great Apple authorized repair store... saving me a painful, frustrating trip in to the Apple store in Tysons Corner, and the help I received was first rate. I walked out in less than an hour.... computer problem solved ! The most helpful proprietor and his trusty shop dog, Dixie, only made the experience all the better. I am so glad to have this business so close by, and highly recommend it.

Took an old mac in to see about a buy back program. They ran tests on it and locked it so when I got it home I couldnt use it. Had to call to reset everything. So not only did the offer hundreds less that online companies they caused me time to fix my computer. Waste of my time. Very disappointing and frustrating.

Individual who took care of me at the Blue RidgeMac center was very unprofessional and didnt not seem as if he wanted to be working there (felt like I was bothering him). Once the repair/options were talked about I was expecting updates on my service. But... that wasnt the case. I never received any updates in regards to the repair and in turn I was charged 865 dollars because the guy who did the repair never let me know he was repairing my screen without warranty. He told me my computer was under warranty and five minutes after I went to pick up my Macbook he told me he realized the computer wasnt in warranty and they he could do nothing to change the price. (HE PROMISED ME THE REPAIR WOULD ONLY BE BETEEN 560-600 THEN I HAD TO PAY 823... FOR A REPAIR HE TOLD ME WAS UNDER WARRANTY SO I WOULDNT HAVE TO PAY... WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE TO GET AN UPDATE BEFORE HE PROCEEDED TO REPAIR MY MACBOOK.. AT LEAST LETTING ME KNOW IT WAS GOING TO BE 823 BEFORE THE HE WENT ON WITH THE REPAIR... INSTEAD OF TELLING ME 5 MINS BEFORE PICKING UP MY MAC THAT THINGS DIDNT GO AS PLANNED.... AND THAT I HAD TO PAY 823 FOR THE REPAIR.. WORST THING IS HE MADE IT SOUND LIKE IT WAS MY FAULT).

At first, I was happy just to have a Mac repair shop close to my home. Ive relied on this business to maintain and upgrade my 2009 MacBook Pro. First, my hard drive failed, and Blue Ridge Mac replaced it with a new and much larger drive for a fair price. The new drive failed about four months later, but Blue Ridge Mac replaced it for just the cost of labor. Then I took it back and let them partition it and set up Boot Camp and install Windows 7. The machine has been running flawlessly ever since. Ill surely visit them the next time I need service. My only problem has been the turnaround time—they could use a larger shop and more technicians to handle the volume of repair business. These people know what theyre doing, and I recommend them highly.

We were extremely disappointed with the service we got from this business. If you have ever experienced Mac Applecare for laptops, you will appreciate the smooth and efficient service that Apple technicians provide.We had an issue with a 27in iMac and from the word go, we had issues with this authorized Applecare repair location. At first they did not want to even come and pick up the computer, even after multiple assurances from Apple that these guys adhere to their standards. Even before any assessment and repairs had been done, the owner was already talking about charging us $50 for the free Applecare service. (Just so that you know, apparently Applecare does not cover any software repairs, only hardware!).We eventually got them to pick up the iMac. After a few days we get a call back, that they had fixed the issue. We were informed that they determined it was not a hardware issue, but they proceeded to downgrade the OSX version, (was 10.6.8 and came back 10.6.3) and decided to charge us $50.00 for an Applecare service. They never even called to ask us if they should install the software.When picking up our repaired computer, we were confronted with the charges. We had to call Apple and work with Applecare and Apple customer support before Apple offered to pay for our repair. We were informed by the Apple reps that the repair center should have asked us whether we wanted to have the $29 software installed on our computer.Our advice is to just drive to Washington DC or Richmond if you need a repair performed on your computer. We found their service people rude and disinterested. I also found it disheartening to see a student walk in to pick up her computer and be told that her repair was yet to be performed. She was under the impression that it was in the process of getting fixed. It would take a week to get to her computer, but if she wanted to get it looked at immediately, she should pay $100.00 to move it ahead of the queue. Please avoid this store if you need a repair! You are better of going to the real place as opposed to this location.On the other hand, they have a good stock of Apple accessories and peripherals in their store.
