This is a real person I read the reviews only after I purchased my vehicle I give them 4 stars because I bought a 2010 camaro for asking price 4900 I guess I was one of the lucky ones or beginners lucks because the car drives good and have no check engine lights but I can say they do have high fees after the fact and they do try to claim someone else bought the car and hike the price up and make you wait 3-4 hours to pay and retrieve the car or truck but it was well worth it at the end. I did pray that the car was going to ran well and I guess god heard me because the car needs nothing at all. And not going to lie I did see some upset people leave when it was time to purchase there vehicle (probably the high fees they add on) but my advice to anyone going here is if you know what you want already have double what the vehicle asking price is because you never know with the extra fees they add on to the vehicle and you don’t know if you have to put work into the vehicle just to be on the safe side AND them deposits are Nonrefundable when that money hit they hand stay blessed and keep god first

Would not recommend this place, the bid starts at noon, you can check the cars but you cant run the cars. If you win the car you have to wait After 3pm to get your car. So you have no idea about mileage or if there is any check engine lights. You check the cars in one lot and them you see different cars when the bid starts. If you decided to cancel the bid you basically would loose your 20% of your bid. I been calling this place for 2 days to ask about my tittle, it is been more than a month and no one returns your calls. Please people be very careful when you shop here. Surprising the Gov has not shut down this place.

I saw their ad on Cable TV and was eager to see the deals they had. I was pleasantly surprised at the large variety to choose from, lots of high end vehicles. I met one of the owners and helped me to find a low mileage Mazda Tribute a lot for lower than I had expected to pay. The customer service was great and I left the dealership feeling satisfied with my truck. I would definitely recommend family or friends to First Marshall auto auction. Good service!!! I really want to thank this auction and their kind staff with helping me get a vehicle. I wasnt able to get what I planned because I didnt have enough cash - I ended up bidding for an opportunity that I could potentially afford. Thanks for the wonderful staff they were patient in working with me secure my awesome truck. I took a chance coming far from out of state coming via bus to train to bus to auction, to landing an awesome truck that drove me back safely. Overall I had the greatest experience. Tomorrow I am going to go pick up my son with this truck and go to the state fair. I will definitely be coming back here for all my vehicle shopping. I will also highly recommend it to anyone that really needs a good solid vehicle with modest budget. Come with a positive attitude - and you will get what you put out. I love this vehicle. I was very surprised and pleased with my visit to first Marshall auto auction. I had called in the morning to inquire about a vehicle and was able to make an appointment to come see it the same day. When I arrived I was greeted right away and the sales person was very accommodating. Although the car I looked at wasn’t “the one” I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking to purchase a car. All of staff were respectful and friendly. I liked that they have a parking area for customers as well.

Would not recommend this place I give them the second chance after calling serval times making sure the car was available got there and they would not sell me the car drove around two and half hour to get there then getting lyed to dont go there

Went to the auction tonight to get a car. Tried to by before hand. Car listed for 2300. Told they had a deposit on it for 2700. They asked if I wanted to pay 2800. I said no. They then offered to sell it to me for 2600 or if I was willing to pay more then 2300, which means they had no deposit.

First Marshall auto auction was a great experience. Joe made the experience a smooth and swift process. We called to inquire about a vehicle we seen online, scheduled an appointment went in saw the vehicle. We sat down with Amit the finance Managers to talk numbers. I must say at the end I was very happy with the out the door price. Always do your research before purchasing any Vehicle. I will definitely purchase another vehicle from first Marshall auto auction.

Scammer auction like with similar vehicles. Took friend to bid on car and then the owner or manager takes money and sells you different car with that vin number on invoice beware bait and switch sometimes on the cars. Vin not displaying during auction, then they take deposit make you wait to end of auction and may change battery or tires while you wait so if you turn of car you after they bring it to you after paying for something else not what was run through auction, then need a tow truck. Scammer tried to sell me a car that did not run telling me he didnt want to go get it and drive it through the auction just want to meet a buy it pay for it and then they would bring the car up without seeing it. Theyre online vehicles are outdated most of them have supposedly been sold so at the end they start running the same vehicles through and then they bring you a vehicle sometimes it doesnt even run so youre stuck leaving it there and they charge you storage fees if you dont get a tow truck by the next day then by the time you come back you will be owing them more money than what you bid on the car stay away be aware.

This place needs to be shutdown. I went there expecting to find a vehicle advertised on its website and only found vehicles that look like they belong in a junkyard. If I could give them negative stars I would. We went to the auction today and purchased a Nissian rouge. The transmission in it is destroyed and needs a rebuild. While they were auctioning it they said it was the Nissian Marino and we bit on it at 2700. They usher you to put the down payment down so fast you can’t even look at the paper work and they put our final bid was 2900. You are not able to see the vehicle run until they are on the auction block and then you can not look inside them so if they have engine lights on you won’t know till it is to late. On top of that they charge a bunch of fees and other stuff so the total came out to 4100. I know these are buyer beware and from what I heard from the mechanics I have to service my vehicle with the auction gets the bottom of the barrel vehicles.

Were here with my wife last week and got impressed by all the used cars and especially prices. We had fun and great time there. We often attend First Marshall public auto auction and it made an impression on us. I had planned on buying 2008 Audi TT. The lady couldn’t tell me the mileage.... what?? Her response was “ that’s the way auctions are”. I guess I asked to many questions. She hung up on me!! Thank you to all the honest people that left the true reviews. You can tell by looking at the names and the five star reviews they left... it’s like they followed a script. I’m glad I didn’t waist 6 hrs of driving and who knows how much time there from what I read. Sounds like a complete scam. Right down to the fake reviews!! Are there no laws protecting buyers? Just left the auction, and there are a few points to indicate. I wanted to note that before I went to the auction, I spoke with a representative, and she blatantly lied about a few questions that I asked:1) I asked about the mileage: She said that she cannot provide details over the phone, and that I would be able to see the mileage of the cars when I arrive at the auction. When I arrived, I was surprised to find that they do not provide any mileages for buyers. You are, literally, purchasing blindly.2) I also asked about being able to drive or start the car: She said that we would not be able to drive the car, but that a representative would start the car for you. This was also a lie. The only time we can hear the motor is when THEY drive the car to the auction lanes. You can inspect the motor and the car when the car is off.3) I also asked about fees: She indicated that, we do not charge any fees. I was surprised to find that the fees ranges between 11%-25% of the cars sale price (depending on the final sales price) + $190 auction fee + $225 so-called documentary service fee.I felt the need to write this review not to put the company down, but to inform the buyers. They did have some vehicles that may have been a good buy, and at a very good price. Just know that it might be a gamble, especially if you do not know the mileage.

I would give this place zero stars if I could. A total bait and switch organization. Expect extremely rusted out vehicles and 100% unprofessionalism. Extremely disorganized and a waste of your time. You will not get much information about a vehicle, The vehicle I wanted was not there. I tried asking numerous times if the vehicle is available and each time I was lied too and told it is coming up for auction. Wasted 3 hours for nothing. Looking at the cars that were auctioned off, I would say the cars should have been sent to the junkyard instead of someone buying them. I do not recommend this auction place at all. YOU WILL REGRET IT IF YOU GO THERE.

I when and bought a 05 Chrysler 300c about 2 weeks ago. I bid $2800 end up paying $4000. Head home car started to over heating. Fix it n then it was leaky oil so I got it tow home. Took it to the shop to find out it need a motor. Now a motor cost $2100 n $1800 for the the work. Did not even own the car for a hour

Came 365 miles for a vehicle I saw online but they only posted one side and the inside. So I was thinking it was all good unfortunately I missed the actual auction show but the car was completely trash the body was so bogus. This was my first experience with an auto auction and it was terrible. It was very shifty.1. They pull you in with listing on their website that arent actually on the lot. I called and verified that the car was there but it was nowhere on the lot and it didnt come through the auction.2. The same person who verified that the car was on the lot also told me that I could buy it outright, but that also seems to be a lie because all the sales men said it had to go through auction.3. no one knows anything. Every single person I tried to ask a question to pointed me to someone else who also couldnt or didnt answer my question about this process.4. the lot they let us walk through wasnt the lot that they were auctioning cars from. Per the website, someone will start it up for you, but that was a lie. There wasnt a single person out there helping with that.I will never come back here and they definitely need to be reported to the Better Business Bureau.

The customer care at this establishment is nonexistent. The auction part may be fine, if youre there for the actual auction. However, we wasnt.We called ahead to ask specifically if we can purchase several vehicles without going it going to auction. They said yes, just come with cash and the listings. When get there, the real answer is no. They just tell you what you want to hear to get people to show up. Which is bad business. I only came with enough funds to purchase the vehicles. Not to out bid anyone.

This auto auction is straight dookie. They only allow the public to bid on the scrap cars that the dealers dont want. You cannot test drive or see the mileage. You cant even start the car to see if the engine light is on. All you can do is CarFax the VIN number.When they do the bidding, they start at a crazy high price and work down. Most other auctions start low and go high. They only have the car in front of you for about 30 seconds, so it does not allow the car to sell at a reasonable price. Im pretty sure they have auction snipers in the crowd to raise the bid price if someone bids on it too low.Once I realized the scam, I left and the manager chased me down. He tried to lure me back. I told him I want one of the nicer newer cars, not the rejects the dealerships know they cant sell. He agreed with me that the chances of getting a lemon are very high with their business policies. This place is no good.

Please take the time to read through the 1 star reviews. These cars have a negative carfax, high mileage, mechanical problems, exterior and interior damages, etc. Also, its cash only and down payments are nonrefundable. All vehicles are sold AS-IS and are nonrefundable. This place is a SCAM! Please take your money to a reputable dealer.

They told me to come to their location to view the car/cars I wanted from the hours of 5-6 and that I would be able to test drive it, as well as check the mileage in person, and after pick it from the auction line . I explained I couldn’t wait and put the down payment of $900 on the car, they told me I had to wait 10 minutes and waited over 2 hours in which I was told I couldn’t view the car again even though a down payment was made, nor could I test drive it or see the mileage to confirm if I wanted to continue, granted it’s my fault for giving the money, I trusted the process until they started being iffy, and I’ve never bought a car so I’m not familiar with it. They run the same cars through the auction line until you go home. I don’t really care for my money back it’s an L I’ll have to deal with, however I do believe the place should be closed to prevent anyone else from falling for it and wasting their time, I wanted it for me and my kid and ima take it as a sign to wait. File complaints with the BBB and write letters or emails or whatever to the attorney general

Don’t buy anything from them! i bought a honda crv from them and the transmission went out in the middle of the highway on our way back to chicago they also will charge you extra taxes in the end when you’re getting the plates just stay away from that place

It was awesomely AMAZING, friendly and super quick.They were prompt, attentive, and helpful to get me into a vehicle as quickly as possible. PLUS they transferred my old plates to my new car same day. First Marshal price as the DMV, But more convenience.I will definitely be not only recommending First Marshall Auto Auction to friends and family but Sam especially!!Sam was extremely professional and understanding to my situation and which vehicle would fit my needs at a reasonable cost. He did not make me feel pressured like other salesmen in other dealerships. With all these lemons the only honest business they could provide is a lemonade stand.

We came around 9 because it says that they open at 9 but we were told that the auction starts at 11. We came back in time for the auction. We checked out a few cars that we liked and soon we were directed to the show room. Where we waited standing for almost an hour. There was some nice cars and there were some bad cars. The bidding started high and dropped. By 12:30 - 12:45, we were ready to go because none of the cars we looked at were brought in and the guys taking bids were trying to get people, including us, to buy anything. We left and found a private seller.

They Tell You One thing on the phone but when you get there its totally different the car are not the same price as on line and you cant just walk in to buy on top of a$1000 in fees plus Hours of waiting when the auction is over definitely a different experience

When you ask over the phone they promise you that you can test drive the car but when you get there you can’t even see the mileage. Then they say you can buy the car for the listing asking price but on auction day they bump the price for a thousand dollars. They have a lot of hidden fees that they don’t wanna tell you about. I was recommended this auction but i went with not so great expectations.. i had been running into dead ends with other places. I need a car really bad... and surprisingly to my dismay the auction and my bidding made it all happy.. I walked out with a great deal.. A reliable SUV PILOT 2016.. ITS RUNNING GREAT.. sales man was very knowledgeable about the vehicle and khal was great at getting me the best deal.. I will surely recommend this Auction to anyone in the near future...

Great experience picking up a car to ship to WI, Cant wait for the auction to come back, Desk person was very helpful in explaining how to use the app to find cars in the lot. All cars have gps tracking.

Fast, friendly service. Drove two hours Auction with family in the evening and He had the car warmed up and ready for a test drive. they was friendly and did not pressure me at all. Today we picked up 5 different vehicles. All started right away except 1 van. Fortunately our shuttle driver waited to make sure that all of our vehiclesstarted. When he saw that one driver was having problems, he called a service truck right away. A minute later the truck arrived. Unfortunately she was not able to get it started. This is not a good experience for me the car I purchased when I went to pick it up the guy was supposed to go get the car so that I can see it he came back called me outside like he had the car pulled me to the side and said dont get this car everything is wrong with it go tell them you wonna pick another car so I did and they knew I came in from out of town so I needed a car to go back home with long story short I was given a car with 250000 miles on it couldnt make it back home everything under the bottom was about to break and they charged me 5100 for a car I cant drive and I have no money to get another one this place really is a Chester all car on line are not available they never have them it needs to be shut down

1st time at the auction, everything is rushed, they dont explain how it goes even when you say its ur 1st time. Once you bid on a car, they hurry & make you put down 25%., then you have to wait until the whole auction is done before you can finish paperwork, then you get in line, given a number, then wait another 2hrs until ur number is called to finish paperwork, so its an all day deal, bring a chair to sit in or ur standing the whole time, make sure to eat b4 attending, found a car but had I known this is how auctions go, I probably wouldve passed on coming & buying a car this way. I just buy a car from them and it was not up to part, now I cant drive it because it need work done to it, now I have to give it away because it is in front of my house. So next time, I will not be buying a car from this place anymore, and it was my first time going and buying a car, so I guess you get what you paid for. 🙄🙄🙄🙄

This company is Terrible. I was on on market market a vehicle. I saw this company. Yes Prices seemed too good to be true. I inquire about a 2010 Buick Enclave.. but before buying. I researched. Saw the Bogus And Bad reviews. On several occasions I was getting calles. But after I found me a suv. I was no longer on the market for a vehicle. Waking me up all hours. I was receiving all types of calls day and night. One day I got over 7 calls.. I called and told them Im not interested anymore. Take me off the call list. The girl said since u called in, It puts me back onto the call list. Takes 3 days. Ok I waited. Days later still getting calls. I am an a Essential worker. I work 7days a week. I am getting Interruption calls from. HARVEY CITY AUTION. . SOOo I blocked the number. . in one day I gotten over 6 calls. In April 12, 2021 I gotten 10 Blocked calls. . Evidence below. I remember this company being on the NEWS ABOUT 👎 BAD BUSINESS ETHICS. STEALING CARS. POLICE TOWS. etc. I got bad Vibes from this so called Great deal. . So am telling my story. Monday morning . I will be contacting Tbe supervisor or manager. Next step is the BBB and FCC. I know I can find stories from customers lied to. Convince or money taked without guaranty or warranty. Buyers. Be AWARE EVERY FREE AINT GOOD 💯

Excellent customer service. You dont have to wait too long on the queue before you are attended to. very polite and well mannered staffs .

They steal your money and give many excuses to why you haven’t received your title they are all full of it..

Does not even deserve one star. In my opinion this place is a fraud. They use bait and switch tactics, do not let you see the odometer before you buy, or let you confirm that the car you are bidding on the car that you inspected prior to the auction. That was the case in my experience. They want you put down a $1000 down payment and push cars that you did not agree to purchase. They are organised and intelligent, DO NOT attempt to out smart them. The police will be of no assistance.

They sell cars that the dealers cant sell or cars that have problems. Most cars have problems and they charge extra hidden fees and somewhat is a scam. I wouldnt recommend this auction to anyone. Also they lie about the cars and act if the car is perfect and try to make you pay more. Horrible service and problematic cars.

I thought First Marshall Auto Auction did a wonderful job and they were very helpful and got in touch with me right away. I havent bought this car yet. Its the one Id like to buy, but first I need to save up a down payment. But I’m sure when I have my down payment saved, they will be just as friendly and helpful as they were before. Id give my experience at First Marshall Auto Auction. 5 stars 🙄

My service was very fast and the people were very friendly. Just know that if your lien holder is Exeter Finance that who they contract with and if they pick up your vehicle this is where they will send it ..

Won’t be going there again. Me and my fiancé went and put $600 down on a car and trimmed to pay the rest the next morning and they told us. It was double the price and that the $600 down payment was used for storage fees. Non of which we were told the night before. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE NOT EVEN FIR A QUICK BUY

AWFUL- SCAM-BUYER BEWARE!!! The cars you are coming to see are not brought through the Auction line. They give you an hour to walk through this crusty gated lot to try to go find the car you are looking for (well its not in that lot) You cannot go in any other gated areas because its DEALERS only or SOLD CARS . I called the same day as the auction to VERIFY the vehicle we came for was actually there and AVAILBLE FOR PURCHASE and the phone operators said yes mam, just bring in the picture show the salesman and he will get it for you! THATS NOT TRUE -They do not let you test drive start up or look at any vehicle coming through the auction line. They only bring through a few dozen cars and NONE of the cars that we came to look at were there. Or they would say the lot drivers bringing it up!! No one has name badges on and they all pass the buck, they all look the same hoods up, hats on, similar coats and NO NAMES (eyeroll) or tell you to be patient. Every person around me had the same questions and its just a all around SHADY UNCOMFORTABLE PROCESS!!! BEWARE- We ended up with a vehicle that was a very rushed auction process, I felt like they had their own people (staff) acting as potential customers that we were bidding against. SO at the end of the day it was myself and another lady bidding on the same car that I did not come for -but it was QUOTE on QUOTE all they had left and a year older, nice running beautiful car! I had five seconds to make up my mind with a car porter telling me thats a good deal! (eyeroll) We came in from out of town ended up getting a Hotel because the vehicle was not able to be driven home. EVERY dash light was on it had no oil in it and it was a mess. LESSON LEARNED. THEY have massive security for a reason..... they are scam artists and they all work together to get you. DO NOT THINK FOR ONE MINUTE THEY ARE LOOKING OUT FOR YOUR BEST INTEREST. Car purchased was 4100.00 by the time they add all their ridiculous fees 5800.00. I have been to a few auctions and NEVER SEEN such a SH*T SHOW. Lastly, you must pay CASH and their are NO refunds . My 5800.00 went directly into a MONEY counter! it was rubber banded with a post it note and placed into the COAT POCKET of one of the AUCTION WORKERS that could barely speak English when I had ANY Questions, he would point to another guy. SO if you want to save a few dollars its NOT worth it. This whole process was a complete nightmare and the 5700$ Car we bought is sitting in the BMW Shop currently :( BUYERS BEWARE!!!!

Worse place ever. Saw a car I liked. It was running fine yesterday during the auction and then came and picked it up today and it wont even start. They didnt even tell me any fees before we gave the money. The car was suppose to be $900 but charged us at least another $300 or more! Now we have to go again 3rd time tommrow or Saturday to find a way to take the car home that dont even want to start. Definitely dont recommend coming here..... Never in my life, Ill do this again. It was a bunch of wasting time and wasnt even home until like 11pm at night!!!! Rating= 0! If anyone from out of Illinois like me, DO NOT COME! IT IS A WASTE OF TIME!!!!!

I was Scammed by First Marshall, in Harvey, Ill, when I called about the vehicle I wanted the representative on the phone told me to bring a photo copy of the car thats on their ad and the amount the car is when I got there I had to bid on another car and the price was higher the car I had screen shotted was 3500.00 then a guy ask you if you want the car for that price once you give them the down payment your stuck they wont give you a refund and so basically your forced to buy the car at a higher price because they dont tell you you you have to pay repo fee, auction fee and tax and also a fee for a temp plate which is suppose to be already added in they have the police in their pocket to keep people from going off about them being ripped off, I will never buy from First Marshall this is a Warning, please read all their reviews before going and listen to them, If I had a lawyer I would sue these crooks.

I bought an old truck on purpose. The truck was described as running and driving....and it was after a battery and new tire. Other than that I feel like I got what I paid for. I paid for delivery and it was delivered 3 days after I bought it. I thought I would get a call a day before or something but I didnt. I got a call from the driver saying he was an hour away. It turned out he was like 2 hours away but thats cool, I was just happy it got delivered that fast.The driver did an excellent job placing the truck exactly where I wanted as well. Would I buy from this place again. Yes. Can they improve on communicating delivery...yes. But youre also saving a ton of cash so Im good with it.I recommend this auction 👍🏻Thanks

Read the five star reviews. Several of them say the exact same thing. That somebody went above and beyond... obviously fake. I was going to go there and decided to skip it because of all the negative reviews saying the same exact thing.

Theres cost added to your purchase and checkout process was a process. The car I went for originally was never ran through the auction but I was informed when I asked about it that it had sold...

Definitely bad place. Highly recommend not to go there. The auctions are at least 4 hours. I wasted my time there. I got home super late. This company is a scammer. I wish the place can be taken down or have someone else work there and make the place better...... They just want steal money from you. Please dont go there, its a waste of time. It was a waste of time for me because I drove 3 hours to get there from a different state. I definitely wont go there ever again. I probably wont be go to any auctions anywhere ever again.

I bought a truck. I’m fine with what I bought. Yea I didn’t look the fee or do my research I walked into something I didn’t know but lucky I stayed in my price range(low). It’s on you to read but I’m happy with what I bought little minor work but it’s running. Buy at your own risk especially when you know it’s used. I brung my sister back and she just needed radiator and door latch. But it was an awesome experience.

Good car but hidden $ 500 fees made me unhappy. $1300 car on auction cost me $2400 to drive away in plus repairs.
