There is literally NOTHING I wouldnt do for a meal from Blue Moon. I love their vegetarian options, their coffee is delectable (and unique!) and the atmosphere is calming -- even if theyre closed for dine in right now. The people serving you seem to genuinely care and ask how your day is. If youre looking to support small business and get a great cup of coffee, this is the place to go! Its my #1 spot any time Im back in Hastings.

While a physically cool place to go, their hospitality needs a rejuvenation. Its good that they take covid serious (Id rather them err on that side), but their serious attitude extends into the customer relations realm deterring what could otherwise be an awesome atmosphere, which it sadly does not currently have. (Oh, they do have good coffee, but beyond that, nothing to write home about. )

Quaint place to sit alone or with friends. The staff is amazingly friendly. There is, I believe, local artwork and photos on the walls, and soft music plays on the backround. Clear glass windows provide a view to the downtown street (with seating). Not to mention it is a very popular local hangout for all ages. A must stop locaton!!!!

The Blue Moon is a great place to get a cup of coffee. Hot or cold. The black coffee is delicious as they usually have 3 kinds to choose from and its inexpensive for the black coffee. Also a great place to have conversations with other people. Very friendly atmosphere.

Blue Moon is THE place to chat with a friend, study for an exam, share a drink with a date, stop by for a lemon poppy seed muffin, camp out for hours with a project, or basically anything else. The baristas are friendly, the music is exactly the right volume, and the coffee is always good. Blue Moon has my heart.

I was looking for a Starbucks. Im glad I didnt find one. I was visiting Hastings for one day and its places like this that make me happy. Unique one-of-a-kind small business.

Lots of drink options and some bakery choices which I really enjoy. The lighting is very dark but you can get a spot by the window if you like something lighter. I dont get their lattes because in my experience they use skim milk.

They have flavored coffees or just a bottomless cup of brewed. They do have other things; smoothies, Italian soda and dune snacks. Price is a little high in my opinion but others would probably find it reasonable

A favorite haunt where the staff greet me by name, know my preferences and tolerate my moods. When I moved to Hastings a few years back, I screened the espresso shops for the flavor of their straight up shots. Here I got no bitterness in the brew, it was served in the demitasse cups if I like, by staff friendly to new customers. Over the years Ive tried the lunch menu items which I consider a bit limited but still price competitive. I frequently order the breakfast sandwich special which predictably good. Lunch specials vary a great deal but I favor the quiches, always made fresh that day. Our Friday night coffee group spends a couple hours mostly visiting and a few of us order sandwiches or roll-ups often with soup. Lately, the day time offerings have had variously shaped rice krispie snacks in seasonal themes, a few days ago it was a turkey leg. Seem to be popular enough but a bit pricey for me. The cherry almond pie is always a favorite and is reliably fresh as it sells out quickly. I know everyone has their peculiar preferences for espresso but if you start here, you probably wont need to shop around any further.

I come here every day to draw or just hang out. Its where my girlfriend and I had our first date. The staff are fun and the food/drinks are great. definitely recommend 👍

Good standard menu for lunch or breakfast with sandwiches and standard light fare. Great place to study or work, nice and cozy decor with tables, boiths, and comfy chairs. Their coffee is not bad in taste, however their regular drip brew is not strong at all.

They accommodated me and were able to recommend a drink even though I dont drink coffee. Well done!

Helps with charities and community functions. Has WiFi if youve purchased items. Kind of a trendy nook, plenty of seating. Good, courteous service.

This is a neat coffee house, with extras, where you and friends can sit in comfortable chairs to visit. They offer a multitude of hot and cold drinks and sweets, and a variety of lunch items.

Neat atmosphere although I dont think the gal at the counter appreciated my NRA hat. Food however was disappointing, small portions and odd combinations. I wasnt going to try the coffee as it was evening and I didnt want to be up half the night.

This place has great desserts.Blue moon is a college hangout coffee house.The atmosphere is actually quite inviting, you have a variety of seating, and veiw options, with various artists paintings, and works on the walls.right next door at around 10 I believe, the neighboring book store, seperated by only a door opens.food options vary from hard staples, like bagels and muffins, to pies, cakes, and health conscious items.Coffee here is rather pricy here. But its very exotic. these wont be your usual name brands that would only cost you 75 cents at the diner.The options vary from plain black, all the way to special house blended names. Such as jet fuel, or the namesaked bluemoon. there are public board games, free wifi, and usually free papers, or magazines.at lunch or around that time, the menu changes over to lunch, for fresh made unique specials.For a college hang out, the blue moon is quite popular on weekends, and depending on the event in town, or even just what week it is, can get really crowded.
