Im often down in South LA for court (Im a criminal defense lawyer) looking for coffee places. Azucanela caught my eye, but its more of a desert place, so I never got to go...until a late night lax pick up took me down there in the evening. You would never guess something so adorable could be on this particular block which is, at best, nondescript. They have parking in back and a beautiful patio as well, highly recommended if you need to meet someone 15 minutes away from lax at night. The churro-forward menu reminded me of places I had been in southern Spain, in Grenada.

The churros, the coffee, the whole vibe is amazing! There was love put into my order. Will be back!

Ordered horchata frappe & regular churros. Everything was very good quality & taste. Nice environment & nice place to take pics. Out in Hawthorne so surrounding area isnt great but there is plenty of street parking available. Worth checking out. (5stars)Update 7/15/21Ordered churro donut and a latte. The churro was very overcooked to the point it was difficult to chew and crunchy. Usually would let this go but since the donut is nearly $10 I had to revise rating. The latte was overflowing and the drink was dripping all over. Not sure why this wasnt at least cleaned up before giving to a customer. Unfortunate because my last experience was great here.

Cute little late night spot on Inglewood/Hawthorne area. I got their Churro Sundae all for myself, $10.50 for 3 big churro sticks, 2 scoops of ice cream, and their homemade marshmallow melt. Honestly, its enough for two people. The churros were really good and even the ice cream, tasted homemade 😄. The employees there are very friendly. They have parking but its small, so we just parked on the street not too bad. Cute spot for all you Instagram/TikTok influencers 😉.

A little Hidden Gem in Hawthorne. A nice place to go for some cool Ambiance and some satisfying coffee with a sweet churro dessert.

Been here twice in 3 days that in itself says a lot! I can’t get enough of these delicious churros and the yummy chamomile tea latte and this beautiful space.highly recommend checking out this hidden gem.

This new little churro café is amazing… They only serve churros avocado toast coffee tea and pastries. The Horchata frappe is to die for. Parking is a challenge but worth the effort. A little pricey but very tasty and all fresh.

Very great customer service, second time here and the churros do not disappoint! I did not know they have an outdoor seating, it is very beautiful! I ordered a Churros Sundae and Churros Frambuesa and both were delicious!

Great atmosphere but the service is terrible due to their staffing model. Id suggest management review their customer/employee ratio because a coffee should not take 15+ minutes to make.. employees are great! Just overwhelmed

Local hidden Gem 💎 looking for a place to catch-up with friends, this would be the place. Great churros and coffee for a reasonable price. Love the small patio art decor 😍 only bad part is only 2 parking spots, but its okay you can mange. Will be coming back.

Terrible customer service. Arrived at 8:30 placed an order, waited for 20 minutes just to be told they ran out of churros. Which isn’t an issue but should be upfront to customers about things like these so they don’t waste their time. Worst part is they weren’t even apologetic.

We got the traditional churros and the stuffed churros, both delicious. They are made as you order them. Warm and tasty. I also got the ice coffee and that was not good. It was watered down. But we did go for the churros and they were tasty. Definitely recommend.

I went on a Sunday with a party of 15, we sat outside, and it was cold but they have heaters. They have all kind of flavor coffees, my favorite was the Horchata and Mazapan coffee, and the Churro with icecream was delicious.Short story, the place rand out of icecream, and the owner went out of his way to get someone to pick up icecream, just so our little ones could experience the Churros with icecream, I really appreciated this kind gesture.The staff was friendly and attentive, and the ambience took me back to Mexico, it was so beautiful. If you have kids, this is a perfect place, they have games in the sitting area outside, which is enclose, so it is super safe for the little ones that love to be running around.The only bad thing is that they dont have much parking, but you can easily find parking on the street. This is definitely a must try place that I would recommend.

I got the cafe de olla and churros with canela and abuelita chocolate. I preferred the abuelita chocolate sauce. The churros are perfect.

Recommend Churros Abuelita as the dipping sauce is awesome... if you like chocolate. Made to order and are crunchy and soft inside. Pet friendly and has a nice patio in the back to hang out and play...

Best Churro spot around ! Wether it is a hot sunny day or a cold cloudy night this is real comfort food. The sundae churro might be the best item on the menu paired with an Horchata Iced Latte.The patio in the back is well put together and feels like a social gathering when their are other people eating. Before the pandemic they would have jumbo sized Jenga and Connect 4 😃The prices are reasonable for the amount of churros you get and for the amazing service they offer.The only drawbacks to coming here is the parking. You might have to find parking the street after or before. They do have a limited amount of spaces right in front but it only fits like 3 cars at most. Other than that support your local small business and come here when you have a sweet tooth 😃

I went here with a friend and was not impressed by the churro I got. I ordered a regular churro with a berry dipping sauce. While the sauce was good the churro was too doughy for me. The atmosphere and back patio is cool and laid back. But wasnt for me.

Really good drinks, fresh churros so good I forgot to take a picture of them and scarfed them down instead. Lol.

It s exactly what I was expecting plus a really cute back patio to enjoy your treats, coffee, snack etc. I definitely try to support these mom and pop type operations when I can. it takes about 5 minutes for them to make your churro, but theyre sooooo fresh that way. and yummy!

Ive been to this place a couple of times throughout a year span. There were two instances in which I got charged for an unauthorized transaction and later that same day, reimbursed back. No bueno.....

I tried this place for the first time today, I ordered the churro bites and my girls had a cajeta filled churro. Both were very good, I will definitely be back.

Why go corporate (Starbucks) when you have this little gem in the neighborhood. Vanilla latte is delicious and strong. Support a small business and get your coffee fix or at least give it a chance because they made me a returning customer thats for sure.

A great relaxing place

I enjoyed for being our first time here. We all enjoyed what we ordered. The churros and dipping sauce was a naive game changer. I enjoyed my Iced Tentacion drink, the strawberry limonada and Horcahta Iced latte was on point. There outside sitting felt like back in 2019.

This place is a definite gem. Wonderful drinks, Im a big fan of the horchata latte. The variety of churros available makes sure there is something for everyone.Ive been twice now and each time the best part was how amazing the staff is. They are wonderful. The back patio is so lovely and a perfect place to spend time with friends. The mural and greenery make for great photo spots.They are doing great at everything covid social distancing related. This place is a really great place to get churros. The churros are warm and delicious. It shows that the place enjoys making churros. Furthermore, the horchata frappé is really good. I recommend going here for those churro lovers.

They need improvement. The abuelita dip had a very faint flavor. The cafe de olla also had so little flavor. The strawberry lemonade was really good!!!! Id love to see them get better and really shine!!!!

Was glad to finally come to visit after several months after their opening as a Hawthorne local. Remember this place being a run down bar so its night and day now. Very nice inside and lively. Customer service friendly, the food and drinks were okay. Any churros from the churro trucks or the street that Ive tasted were better and half the price. The horchata frappe had a bunch of ice chunks but the flavor was good. The mazapán latte was okay too. Would have given them 3 stars but theyre a neighbor and new in town so Ill give them a second chance

The people who work here are so amazingly friendly and the space is so cute & comfy! I had the horchata coffee and churros while i wAited for work to be done on my car down the road. There’s a lovely back patio but both the indoor and outdoor spaces are colorful and comfortable. I never write reviews, but they deserve a good one. This place is a really nice meeting space for coffee, meetup groups, or casual dates and people in the neighborhood should support them!

Ok so I ordered churros puercos, churros, bacon bits and caramel sauce scrumcious.... coffee was not hot but once i heated up at home yummers cafe de olla with coconut milk....

Price is high for area. $10 for churro and latte.Churro tradicional is burnt but undercooked. Also had a very greasy taste.Mazapán latte is an interesting idea but didn’t taste enough like mazapán.I hope they figure it out.
