Good selection of materials but the staff is not helpful.

Its a bit hard to buy slabs because, understandably, they are hard to move around, so its really not super inviting when you are ready to order. Prices on the material would be nice too. What saved it for us when buying some granite for our backyard was MJ trying extra hard to figure out why the specific lot we wanted was not available. He got it worked out, we ordered.

Great, large selection of slabs and product. Specifically, their sales associate MJ was VERY helpful. MJ was knowledgeable, friendly and helped us solve our problem quickly and easily - all while being pleasant and patient with us. Would definitely recommend working with him if selecting slabs.

The floor quality of this shop is terrible! The flooring purchased in Homedepot in September 2020 will be damaged in November, and more and more places will have problems. Contact the floor company, shirk responsibility, that is the problem of installation. Its a professional master. Theres no problem after the installation. It took less than two months for the problem to appear. The floor quality and service attitude of this company are extremely poor. I will find the relevant legal department to continue to investigate the responsibility of the flooring company.

This place was beautiful. Great Showroom with a wide variety of different things like flooring, mosaics and had a huge warehouse where you could see the giant slabs of countertops they had.

After having a terrible experience here and writing a review reflecting that visit, the store manager called me and wanted to understand what happened. I explained what happened during my visit to him and he asked what they could do to allow them another chance to earn my business.I very much appreciated that he cared enough to read the review and get back to me in less than a day! They did ultimately make my next 2 visits MUCH better and I ultimately did buy my stone from them. Nice showroom, beautiful stone and doing much better in termsof customer service.

The MSI staff was very helpful, patient, and spent the time to answer all our questions concerning quartz countertops, the differences between pre-fab, island, and slab. The warehouse was in a safe location, and the warehouse itself was very clean and bright. Highly recommend MSI.

You cant even enter MSI without leaving your name, address, and email. Also, you cannot buy anything directly from MSI. You need a designer or another vendor to place your order for you. So to purchase, you need to go to MSI, choose what you want at MSI, then go back to your vendor, then once the order is processed, return to MSI to pick it up. To sum up the MSI experience: its just whole lot of unnecessary and unwanted hassle.Later the same day at another stone yard, I found exactly the stone tiles I needed, got a superb price, and took them home the same day - the way purchasing stone should be.

Appointment was not necessary when we visited earlier this week (April 19th, 2021). Check in was handled seamlessly and strict covid protocols were in place which made us feel very safe. The staff were all highly knowledgeable and the choices of tiles, etc. was very comprehensive with competitive pricing. We will be returning next week with our designer to make our final design choices. We highly recommend MSI.

I don’t normally write these reviews but I felt I had to. My parents are contractors and I am sure they have had good experiences and bad experiences but this is solely based on my experience with MSI online and some interactions with MSI hayward. I bought some tiles for my backsplash 3 weeks ago. They were not in stock at hayward and we were promptly told by the online representative ‘Tashkal’ that a request to transfer the materials from orange county would be done and we should receive it in hayward in 5-7 days. Afterwards no other emails until a week ago, we got a quick email saying ‘Material ready for pickup in Hayward. We didn’t go immediately to get it because we thought there would be no problems. However, today when I went to get it, I was told my tiles were not in stock but everything else on the order was and heres the kicker… It is coming in NEXT MONTH. No one ever contacted us and we thought we were getting it on time. Now we can’t work on our kitchen and are basically wasting time because MSI ****ed up. Now heres the review about MSI hayward… The gentleman that helped me was very nice and tried his best but the lady that walked over basically told me it was my fault for not looking at my email because for sure an email was sent out about the delay. Uh No, we didn’t get an email. WE GOT AN EMAIL THAT TOLD US TO COME PICK UP OUR STUFF. If we had any sort of communication we would have purchased somewhere else and got it in time. Except… we were told its backordered AFTER 3 weeks on the day that I came to pick up my ‘available materials’. So lady in MSI HAYWARD, my communication settings are correct. It is your companies fault for not notifying me. Next time don’t act like I don’t know what I am talking about. Man at MSI hayward keep doing the good work.

Review is mostly for customer service. We went to MSI several times. The last time was outstanding, I would give 10 stars thanks to Susane, who was super helpful! Few times before were ok, people on the floor didnt seem to care too much to help. People at the entrance who greet are nice.

Scheduled an appointment and went in to see countertops and backsplashes. At first, they were friendly and had a large showroom. Then when I needed help, they were no where to be found (they grumbled they were short staffed). I stood around and waited. Then they started helping a lady with an appointment an hour after mine. They had zero samples that I needed and it was impossible to see a backsplash next to an actual counter. Overall, rude and not helpful. Will not be purchasing from that store.

Nice setup for countertop selection: You can see whole slabs or look at large samples close together. Lighting is less than ideal, but you can take home samples to see how they look with your lighting. Youre in the warehouse, so watch out for workers moving slabs and wear earplugs, as its loud.Covid safety setup is pretty good. You scan a barcode, answer questions, and they check your temperature. The place wasnt crowded during our visit.

Customer service is good, professional but not personal. You dont have the welcome and caring feeling of the staff. The place is cleaned. They dont always have samples available.

We were helps today by Lucia and she was awesome. She really know how to put the tiles together and gently steer us away from a combo which would have been a mistake. Thank you

I am a designer and have recently purchased from them some porcelain tiles. They will tell you that they have it in stock from one seller, and then they will tell you otherwise once you go to pick up.Try not to purchase from them if you are looking for a timely manner and nicely color coordinated design.

Everyone there is extremely helpful. Tons of inventory and large samples to take home. If youre looking for slabs, I highly recommond MSI.

Horrible services! Doesn’t Specify you have to make an appointment, and they allow appointments that are running late like 30 minutes to still arrive! They’ll only open 4 hrs on a Saturday to me that’s a bad run business and you cannot buy without contractor present! 10 thumbs down if I had 10 thumbs.

Gosh they have a beautiful showroom with many choices and great inventory. However, I was shuttled between several customer service people while there so there were quite a few delays in answering my questions and pulling the slabs. I went to another stone shop after MSI and they were attentive and quick to pull the slabs I wanted to see. The two experiences were in great contrast.

Nice product selection, but Ive been to this place several times and they have very poor service. There is no one to greet you when you get in, and you are forced as a customer to wander around with no help. Their good product selection and easy freeway access earns them two stars, but they get no additional stars due to their bad service - 2 stars total.

Ordered backsplash a month ago, only to be notified out of stock in last week. What else can I do? Have to cancel order, and living in the unfinished house searching for another backsplash for maybe another couple of weeks. Will never order from them again. To be honest I don’t feel they want to sell anything.

Just hung up with one of the representative after scheduling the entire team based on what they promised.They were delivering broken pieces of material, I understand that could happen but it was above average, it doesnt look that they care so much about it.Right now I have an exterior deck exposed with no tile and I was promised that my material will arrive today between 8 am and 12 PM, We schedule the entire team already waiting at the job site and outside the store based on what they told us and now they saying that it will not arrive today but maybe on On Saturday and available to pick up on Monday.Huge disappointment!!!!!Just lost a customer and probably more in the future.

Outstanding service, Maria, the lady who attended to us was very knowledgeable and stayed with us the full process and answering our questions. The place looks prestine for a slabs place, good decor, coffee and refreshments for the customers. I recommend it without hesitation.

We ordered the backsplash half a month ago. A day before the installation and we were told our stuff was out of stock. No communication at all the whole time. We went to the store second time and the sales were very unprofessional. No samples, no introduction, nothing in stock. Will never go there anymore.

The women who greeted us and oriented us to the showroom and warehouse were so helpful, open, and friendly that they made our countertop selection process easy and fun! They joined in our excitement and genuinely took pleasure in our experience. The number and quality of possible options is astounding. My daughter and I oohed and aahed our way around the quartz section, and found exactly what we had in mind for our countertop. The showroom truly showcases whats possible. MSI was recommended by our contractor, and, as he said, its well worth the trip.

We drove from Modesto and were SO glad we did! Everyone was so nice and helpful and the selection was amazing! We found what we needed and were able to move forward on our project. We would highly recommend MSI to anyone looking for great materials, friendly customer service and a one-stop-shop experience.

We flew back from Maine searching for Dolce Vita slabs for our new kitchen in Maine, and we made arrangements to view them through Thomas at Granite Encounters. Thomas did a great job assisting and had the slabs pulled for us to view before we arrived. We were greeted by Rita Jimenez as we entered and boy did we luck out! Rita was not only very nice and friendly, but thoroughly knowledgeable about what we were trying to accomplish. She encouraged us to obtain the slabs we were looking for from their Edison, New Jersey facility because they were 3 cm instead of 2 cm (3 being the standard in New England). She is in the process of sending us pictures of the slabs before we fly back East, so we are sure we like them. All in all, Rita was tremendous and I would highly recommend tracking her down when you go to MSI in Hayward. Tom and Jennifer.

I was already disappointed in their hours - for those of us who work to be able to build or renovate a home, only weekday hours and then 4 hours on a Saturday morning being all they offer is ridiculous. Then, we ask a woman to help us out and within a minute, she doesnt know where to go so she brings over a guy that not only didnt know the answers to our questions, but answered so quickly that we barely followed the things he did say. After about 20 minutes, they said theyd come back with answers, and never did. So we called our contractor to understand what we could put outside and his opinion before leaving the store. The one thing they have going for them is the size and amount of materials to choose from. Surprisingly, our builder didnt bring us here when we chose all of our upgrades and such, but since the service was terrible anyway, Im glad.

I give 1 star because the staff were unusually difficult to deal with. I had a simple question and got two different answers. I simply was looking for prefab counters and wanted to know what colors they had in stock. At first the woman behind the counter said they didnt have any onsite. She gave me a list of granite slabs they have onsite and said to go find something I liked and they would check to see if they had it in prefab. This was most unhelpful. As I walked through the warehouse looking around, a kind worker took pity on me and let me know what colors they had in prefab. Nothing I was interested in, but I was so grateful for that workers help. I will never be back and will never recommend MSI.

Full selection of kitchen counters and we found what we are looking for in their showroom. Friendly customer service and people working on the floor. I will recommend their products to my relatives and friends.

Selecting one of there products at boardmoore landscaping has been one of the worst experiences of my professional career. I tried to work with the client as this was the stone they wanted. 3 to 5 business days turned into 6 weeks of bull.

I enjoyed my visit to MSI, where the staff were very helpful and attentive. They have a large range of product and made me feel like there was no rush as I looked at their stone slab and other materials.

To redo my main kitchen and prep-kitchen, I visited 4 stores in the Bay Area and I purchased Calacatta quartz, concerto quartz for my Kitchen at MSI Stone.Their staff was friendly and helpful. The best part was their price through my fabricator. Having that good experience, I went back and purchased Dimensions gris porcelain floor tile for my california room.

Teresa Martin was great to work with. She was professional and pleasant. She took the time to educate me on all the different options and really help me make the right choice for my pool decking and ledger. Teresa really went above and beyond. If you are looking for hardscapes make sure you go to MSI and ask for Teresa Martin.

This shop will not disclose pricing of any slabs, which makes the shopping process extremely difficult. Even when working with a contractor they want you to pick a slab and then they will disclose a price directly to your contractor.... where else would you shop where prices are hidden.In addition the staff isn’t very helpful.

Loved the streamlined, computerized system for registering customers, their contractors and desired product(s). Especially appreciated that I just walked in, without an appointment, to view available Crema Bordeaux granite slabs and only had to wait 1/2 hr. for viewing of all five of them to be arranged. Many places are only geared up to show you the first slab of a bundle, so the fact that MSI will line all of them all up for viewing during your drop-in visit is a plus. Great, large, well-stocked facility and lovely showroom. Very courteous, knowledgeable and helpful staff. Icing on the cake was the refreshments counter - I enjoyed a double cappuccino while I waited for the slabs to be lined up for viewing. Pricing seemed reasonable. Highly recommend MSI!
