Very friendly, honest, professional, and accommodating staff. It’s not the most modern looking facility, but it’s the quality of work that matters. They deserve a better work space and it looks like a nice one is under construction one block away. I didn’t buy my car here but will likely continue servicing it there because of this great first experience.

I had an amazing experience with Roberto Castillo at Garden City Mazda. Roberto was very informative and personable and really paid attention to the details of what I was looking for and made sure that it was delivered in the timeline that I had wanted. Dealers are having a tough time during the pandemic and I didnt expect to receive the CX-5 on time, but he somehow made it happen. He knew the car was a gift for my daughter and even threw in a little something extra in the end that showed that he was paying attention and appreciated why she was so deserving. I highly recommend visiting when youre in the market for a new Mazda. Ask for Roberto, he will treat you like family.

After having multiple horrible experiences at other dealerships, I reluctantly came to this one to get a repair that was under warranty. The service department was extremely professional and I was in and out within 30 minutes . They even fixed a cosmetic issue within the car without me even asking. I will definitely be back. Al was great, when I walked in and bought a car obviously. After that was super responsive for me to give him a good review, texting me everyday to remind me. I love the car. However, as soon as I left the good review, he stopped being responsive and didn’t follow through on a single promise. I came in with a pre approval and specifically said only send my credit report to them, he agreed, and then I got 3 hard inquiries. Said they were going to remove it a month ago, no response or update. I’m still waiting for the copy of the warranty I bought to be emailed, which I was supposed to receive a month ago. Everyone was friendly, but they just want good reviews with no follow through. Keep your paperwork!

I typically detest going to service my car at centers associated with a showroom. I prefer the unassuming nature of smaller garages since I never feel pressured to make expensive and often questionable fixes.However, my first experience at the Mazda service center in Garden City was one my best. Juan Carlo (I think I got the name right) was the consummate professional, he suggested a fix for something but didn’t ask twice when I refused. The staff were very pleasant to deal with from check-in to cashier. The wait was reasonable and everything seemed to work like clockwork.Definitely will be taking my car back there when needed.

I leased my CX-5 2021 from Garden City. I was given excellent customer service from Andrew in sales 10/10. He was so helpful and informative. I didn’t feel like I was being rushed. He helped me get a deal that was in my budget. Andrew should definitely be Employee of the Year!!!Even after I picked up the car he texted me a few times - to ask if I had any questions and how I liked the car. His help was so genuine. I would rate Andrew 100/100 . Ask for Andrew (sales dept) next time you go to Garden City Mazda.

Picked up our car a few days after we decided on the buy and left a down payment. When we arrived to get it there were many new scratches to the front bumper with a really bad touch up job. When we were discussing the sale we were told all scratches would be fixed when the car was being detailed. This was obviously not the case. The used car manager wouldn’t provide us any help or accommodating, just to buy it or leave. The gas tank was also not filled up entirely, it was left at a little less then 2/3s. After making such an expensive purchase it would’ve been nice leaving happy and excited instead of feeling like we got a bad deal.

Cesar Reinoso was great. This is the second car we have bought with him. Great attention to detail and the finance department was great too. I have also dealt with Giancarlo in service and it is very nice to see (and rare) that when you are there in person, the various people in different departments will say hello to you. I live less than 5 miles from a rival Mazda dealership and yet I drove 20 miles to purchase my car from Cesar. Very courteous and professional, they keep up with phone calls and e-mails. We traveled to Garden City Mazda a long distance across state lines due to online research claiming an enormous selection of new and used vehicles to choose from. This proved to be time well spent! The service from salesman Mr Aydin was impeccable. He listened to what we were looking for in a car and offered multiple options from their impressive inventory. He was quick, efficient, informative, professional and most friendly. We were targeting a crossover SUV and it was most beneficial to inspect multiple vehicles to feel good about making a large investment. In about a half hour, we had 3 options that we would be happy to drive home, but needed to confirm pricing. The management team as well as the financing team were amazingly flexible around our budget. When we came to the location I was prepared to fight and claw and walk away if need be. There was nothing to argue over and EVERYONE was no kind and accommodating we were out the door in no time with a much better vehicle than expected. The COVID market has driven prices up sharply but we definitely saved thousands by traveling to Garden City. Besides staffing a superb management team, this dealership had an abundance of inventory when everyone else in our state was wiped out. This was the best car dealership for my wife and I ever.

Waited weeks for a car because the title was “lost”, just to feel like I was the “hassle” by asking for updates on what was going on or if I can test drive on the day of pick up. Terrible terrible terrible customer service, and I mean a 6 year old would be more pleasant to deal with. But hey, great cars. And that’s why they act the way they do id imagine.I had posted the above post maybe 2 weeks ago, throughout this time since I’ve purchased the vehicle august 28th has found to have had “warped rotors” which after a hassle back and forth, was paid for by garden city. To then have vibration issues still, to then find out 2/4 tires need to be replaced. To then call garden city in which I’ve been dealing with ray brown, to then be told the tires were sold with a minimum standard. If they were sold with a minimum standard, they wouldn’t be shaking or need replacement. So just so everyone knows, I put 4,000$ down to then be near 1500$ in repair costs within a month of purchasing the vehicle. I take back the above statement, because these people don’t certify vehicles the correct way let alone if they are at all. I would never do business here again, leaving “certified vehicles” to be repaired by the new owners. Month into driving it, tires and rotors needed, these guys could care less about actually giving someone a taken care of vehicle and obviously corners were cut when it came time to sellingP.S. I think they create fake reviews to make it look good because I know for a fact the people posting didnt not have issues at some point with something that’s how confident I am this place is trouble.

Worst dealership. Negotiated price over the phone. They increased the price of around $4000 after meeting them at dealership even after confirmation over the email. Drove 8 hrs to and fro to reach dealership and they cheated. Unprofessional dealers to work with. Better to avoid in all situations.Not trustworthy people. When mentioned about reviews, manager said they dont care and they have expertise in cheating people already. All the positive reviews are managed by them and are fake. Be careful guys!!!

I have mixed feelings. The people I have been dealing with have been relatively nice. Pricing is slightly misleading as all used vehicles come with a $995 fee, which is buried in the fine print.We just purchased a used 3 year old car. Off the bat the car was leaking oil / smell of burning oil + one of the two keys was dead with no way for me to replace the battery. Id assumed that the car would be in pristine condition and that they would test the little things before handing the vehicle over to us.When trying to make an appointment with the Service department it is impossible to reach them. Their phone systems send you to a call center in Minnesota who themselves cant reach the Service desk. Communication here is difficult because people are nearly impossible to reach.Eventually, when I did come in for Service, there was no record of my appointment or loaner car... until they found it on a hand written note. It just feels like they need to better organize themselves to improve the customer experience.Once they did find my info, everything was good and they were nice to deal with.Hoping they can improve and get their act together.

This is my first experience with Mazda or leasing and the 5star rating is solely about my experience with the salesperson . My very attentive salesperson Roberto Castillo, took the time find me exactly what I was looking for. He seemed to be doing his best to keep my lease low cost, but of course, I wanted what I wanted...maybe they count on that-who knows. As someone who has previously owned her vehicles, the jury is still out on the entirety of the experience but Roberto is great at making you feel comfortable and as if he is looking out for you.

I scheduled an appt with one rep Alex, over the phone to see a car and drove 40 minutes to the garden city location just to find out that sales rep was not coming in and didnt even bother to inform me or reschedule.We were frustrated with the lack of professionalism. I will start by saying that Garden City Mazda Service now has a steady customer with me. Yesterday was my first time at the dealership for my first service on my 2020 CX5. I dropped by in person to follow up with a svce inquiry I had made earlier in the day. I was met by, Jessica, at the service desk. All I can say was that I was treated very well and so well accommodated on the spot. She got my car in right away and with reasonable turnaround--not something Ive had in the past at any dealership. I felt so respected for the minimum time spent and especially for her consideration of my having a young son with me. We felt like family! The rest of our experience with other staff was a pleasant one. As for the service itself, the shop know what they are doing. I drove out of the lot and could feel right away a more responsive driving experience from the tires that had just been rotated, the steering column was nice and tight and the engine was just like the first day I remember when new. Somehow at other Mazda dealers my car was never the same, and so aggravating as I had to keep returning back for a minor issue that got worse and worse. I plan to stick with Garden City Mazda, happy customer. Thank you!

All the fake smiling and laughing when you’re looking to purchase a vehicle. All the fake negotiations, making it seem like you getting the best deal and they’re only doing it for you. It’s pathetic that they even think people fall for that nonsense. The manager is horrible. He’s short, Hispanic with glasses and he is chubby. They stole earrings out of my vehicle during a service appointment. Who steal costume jewelry out of a car. Do you really think I would leave expensive jewelry in my car! Pathetic. I had a terrible experience with the staff at Mazda Garden City. They have their own tactics so that you end up paying more from what was promised once you leave a fee (in my case $1000) to hold the car for you. Sara, my sales person asked me how much I wanted to put down to lease a 2021 CX5 Signature edition. I offered$5000 so that my monthly payments wouldn’t be so high. I was willing to pay $400.00 a month for 36 months. The day I came to pick up the car they wanted an additional $1600.00 to keep the car at $400.00 a month. After asserting myself with the manager and asked him to cancel the car, they deducted $1000.00. But it took close to three hours to finally get the deal completed. It was a tense and very distressing experience for my family. Be very careful. These people are sharks and if you do not assert yourself, they’ll take your money while smiling and playing “nice”. I strongly do not recommend this dealership.

Good luck getting through their phones to get in touch with someone. Below is my experience:I purchased a Mazda 2021 Grand Touring AWD CX-5 in January 2021. I also purchased the Tire Protection Plan ($800 extra) with MAZDA GARDEN CITY because I was told by Sara (a rep. at the time) that this was a great program. She said it would be in and out and very easy to fix any small scratches on our rims, if that were ever to occur.We did get some scratches on the rims, nothing major, but we figured we would take advantage of this so-called Tire protection plan. The rims to be fixed were the RIGHT FRONT AND LEFT REAR. So, we brought our car in on Tuesday, September 21st to the service department.Firstly, we had requested a Loaner car with anticipation and we were given a car that was dirty on the outside and filled with food and crumbs on the inside. It was not disinfected and they made us wait almost an hour just to have it wiped down with a towel - they werent even able to wash the loaner car that they gave to us!I was told by the service department manager that the car would be ready by Thursday or Friday of that same week. This did not happen because they colored our 2 RIMS a different color. We got our car back yesterday, on September 28th..OVER 1 WEEK LATER. The 2 different colored rims were switched to the right side, so that we wouldnt notice and they blend in. Well, we definitely noticed....Im very disgruntled and frustrated about what happened to our car and our rims. A very simple job of two or three days turned into an over one week ordeal and NO ONE takes responsibility for dropping the ball!Your customer service, quite frankly, is AWFUL at this Mazda, and I am filing a formal complaint. We are treated as just another transaction here at your dealership. I have NEVER experienced this service with Toyota or Lexus, which have been staples in our family. You have definitely lost my business after this lease is up.

This is for the service department. This place will try everything they can to charge you as much as possible. I was told to fix my oil leak it would cost $1281.37. When I asked for the written invoice it showed I was being charged for 4 hours of labor ($745). When I calculated their hourly rate it came out to $560. Ended up lowering the price by $185. After spending so much money, another problem had magically arisen right after getting my vehicle serviced from them. Now i would need to pay a diagnostic fee to see what the problem is. I never had something like this happen to me at any of the indie shops Ive been to. Avoid this place.

Their prices were unbeatable, they got my husband out of his lease early, into a new and upgraded Mazda 6 and I got a sick deal on a CX5. I asked Phil if he could beat it, he didn’t waste anytime he got me the numbers I needed on the phone to make my final decision. I went down to garden city they worked with me and I ended up leasing a beautiful Mazda Cx-9 at at price I’m comfortable with. My car battery died. I went onto Gardena City Mazda website which allowed me to schedule an appointment quickly. I was fortunate that they had availability the next day. I called Geico Roadside assistance for a jump about an hour before my appointment. Once they had my car running, I drove to Mazda. They had a valet in parking lot who met me and gave me a number to take inside. He parked my car. I told him to let it run if they need to move it. Gentleman working inside were attentive and kind. Took down information on likely problem and said to wait in customer waiting room. When car issue was found they came to waiting room and asked me to come outside to speak (privately). They to told me what the diagnosed problem was and the related expense. In 15 minutes the same gentleman came to get me as the car was ready outside. I paid the cashier and she gave me the keys. It was an easy and friendly experience. I would choose Mazda Garden City again in the future.

Went here with my dad to purchase a used car for him. We had a positive experience with the salesman and the car runs great, but weve had an extremely negative experience getting an overpayment refund check sent to us. Between the deposit, the trade in value, and the bank checks it turned out that we overpaid by over $200 and they said we should expect a check in the mail. Almost 2 months later we have yet to receive anything. For almost a month weve been trying to get in contact with someone about it and it has been incredibly difficult to get someone to answer, and when they do answer we get unhelpful responses or promises of receiving things the next day that never come to fruition. This place has terrible communication practices so if you do decide to purchase a car from here, pray that you dont need to follow up with anything for any reason

I went in to Garden City Mazda after eyeing the Carbon Edition turbo CX 5. I was bummed to find out there were no deals on the car, but AL, my salesman, and the entire financial department, worked together to get me in the car I wanted. Within 48 hours I traded in my old lease from another company and left with an amazing car. Everything was clear, the experience was great, and my salesman helped me get everything set up ahead of time so I didnt have to wait. Awesome experience!

Typing this while Im still in the waiting room. Came in for maintenance. While the service desk was professional, welcoming, and courteous, its taken 3hrs+ for regular maintenance after being told it would be 1.5hrs. I would have taken a shuttle back home if I had known. Sitting in a waiting room for 3hrs is not fun.Ive been a repeat customer for years and this was by far the longest I had to wait for scheduled maintenance, midweek, during off-peak hours.

Went to Mazda in Garden City for an oil change and a warranty repair of a faulty passenger side lower taillight on May 27, 2021. Oil change was done, but the dealership would not fix the taillight. They said it was not covered by the warranty. So a taillight, that is loose inside the car cavity, which probably was due to faulty clips is not covered. They tried to say it was probably hit and I told them it definitely, not probably, was not.There are no markings anywhere in that area and the light is completely intact lying loose in the car. So I asked what is the solution and the manager said why Dont you upgrade to a 2021 model. That adds insult to injury. I will also share my experience with Mazda Corporate as its only fair that they know why a customer will not be loyal anymore. That happens when they dont back their product.

After a much disheartening experience at a different dealership in brooklyn, I decided to research dealerships closer to home. I never considered buying a Mazda, however, I needed a reliable, stylish and affordable option. Happily came across Garden City Mazda. Mr Robert Castillo worked with me to find an option within my budget, since the original I option I wanted was sold. I initially opted to finance but after an insightful informed decision, from my mother, I moved forward to pay the car in full. Im pleased that I went to actual single brand dealership ( yes they do have a sprinkle of fairly new non Mazda cars for sale ). Now I just have to get the mazda warranty but at $2500 for 7 year/100k miles is quite steep.FYI there is a $995 fee that is tact on to whatever price shown on the website or in person. That fee is a big reason why I didnt opt for Mazda3 touring sedan with leather seats. So far Ill keep my fingers crossed that this car doesnt let me down as I plan to hold on to it for at least 2 years before I upgrade to another MazdaSpecial shout out to the finance manager Alex, Mr Shabazz and the older african american gentleman who sits by the entrance for his hospitality.

Greg Eugene was our salesperson, and did his job so well! Showed us all the cars we wanted to see and then some based on out preferences. He was extremely knowledgeable and honest, which was very helpful throughout the process. Greg and the manager, Ray were so friendly, trustworthy, and professional and got us the best deal. I was in the market for a new lease (previously a VW Jetta owner & leaser) and this was the first place I came. I went to other dealers as well as other at least 3 Mazda dealers, and they got me the best deal. Garden City Mazda rocks!

Good buying experience. Relatively easy negotiation for the new car and the trade in. We waited a bit to get delivery for the new car (cash deal) but it was busy in the dealership that day. I enjoyed the overall experience compared to the other ones at other non Mazda dealerships. The car is great and we enjoy it.
