It is the perfect place to find an outfit for any occasion whether it is Indian or Western. The pricing is very reasonable and the designs presented are all very unique. My girlfriend and I had to go to an Indian wedding for a friend on Long Island. Being from St. Louis I wasnt sure where to start as we had very little idea about Indian clothes. We found Vastra and spoke to the owner on the phone, emailed her some pics of the type of long dress my girlfriend wanted and she had her dress (I think its called a saree) created within one month. We got to Long Island 2 days before the wedding and the gf had to get the dress cut slightly as it was a bit long but the owner had it cut and tailored within 2 hours. Were very happy and if we go to another Indian wedding, we will recommend using Vastra to our friends and family.

I was attending a wedding and needed an outfit that was respectful but tailored to suit me. I highly recommend Poonam at Vastra, she was completely understanding and was so kind and helpful. She ensured my dress was made and delivered in the time frame specified and it was exactly as we had designed it. The wedding was a fantastic experience and I received lots of compliments on the dress. You will not be dissapointed if you pay Poonam a visit. 5 Stars for sure !

Vastra is a beautiful boutique on Long Island. There are plenty of Indian suits, lehengas, and sarees to choose from. If there is something that I want especially designed for me, that no one else on Long Island has, I can come up with a custom design. I have personally had two anarkali suits and one lehnga made from Vastra and I can say that I feel they are of better quality than what I have found in the stores and malls of India. I would recommend going to Vastra for its variety, for quality, and for Indian clothes that you cannot find anywhere else.
