Awesome store inside Palmetto Dunes. Good breakfast, lunch and snacks. Ice cream and souvenirs. Can also get fishing supplies.

This store has a little bit of everything a vacationer could need. Prices can be high on things, but that is all over the island. I paid 2.99 on something there and at another place it was 6.99....So. The gem is that in the back they have some take out breakfast ( not all day and not on the weekends ) that is dam good on taste and price...wish I had known sooner.

Great selection of anything you may want. Stays open relatively late. Clean. Nice outdoor porch or Picnic table seating to enjoy.

A hidden treasure. Want a fresh breakfast go here and you will love it. Better than the Omni HHPrime brunch I had. Prices for everything in store reasonable. Cant help but buy hat and shirt they were cool. Cool stuff in store.

A basic convenience store with souvenirs and (at times) prepared food. Id appreciate the staff wearing masks, but a lack of face covering is typical on Hilton Head Island.

It cracks me up anyone that posts a bad review based on price or how busy the General Store is! Its packed because its in a great location and the prices are supposed to be based on convenience, not lowest price! If you want lower prices, drive somewhere. This is meant to be a small, charming place and it delivers fully. We truly enjoy going to the General Store!

Great for breakfast or lunch or just picking up a few necessities. They also have fresh coffee, ice cream and beach items. Forgot your fishing gear, they have it. And frozen bait! Friendly staff and outdoor seating is available.

Cute little store! This is place we must stop at when we ride bikes! It has food, drinks, and perfect souvenirs! The kids always find something theyd like to have that is Hilton Head related!

Getting coffee at the General Store is how we start every day while staying in Palmetto Dunes. Sit on the porch enjoying coffee and planning the day ahead as well as chatting with other vacationers. The trip would not be the same without The General Store !!!

Plenty of selection, nice staff and some gifts for purchase. They also have soft serve ice cream for sale.

What an awesome store. Sunblock, beach chairs, tons of ice creams snacks, and drinks. As well as ga great selection of Hilton head gear, Knick knacks, and an entire boards head window in the back! They serve hot food like chicken and French fries and even have some pre sliced meats and cheeses. If I could give this place 10 stars, I would. Wonderful spot. The owner Frank was extremely accommodating and helpful.

One of the best things about Palmetto Dunes. The hot deli food is always great and service is quick. They have so much stuff you may need packed in the place. My kids love this place!

This is a Palmetto Dunes staple. The area would not be the same without it. Great breakfast options in the morning. Fried chicken and pulled pork sandwiches for lunch. Kids get their soft serve ice cream.The service is wonderful too. Always a smiling face to great you.

I was getting icees the store looked nice and seemed nice and the lady at the counter with white hair screamed at my kids, and made them cry. Not a very good one experience.

They have a pretty decent selection of stuff to get you by if you forgot something or just dont want to drive all the way to one of the bigger stores.

Great staff and has pretty much everything you may need. The deli serves very good food. There is a microwave that customers can use. Came in very handy for us considering Marriott doesnt have any microwave in the whole property. Tad bit pricey.

Easily located near the entrance of Palmetto Dunes. Always seemed really busy. They have snacks, ice cream, a small amount of staples, souvenirs, and even soft serve inside (but its serve yourself, and in covid times I was kind of grossed out by how many people were using it). Plenty of clerks, so the line went quickly.

Good place. The items are expensive. For example, a coke slushee(maybe 16oz) is $3.25. But they are good. Only place close by for a slushee or icecream. Very good location for people in palmetto dunes

I have loved browsing through this small General Store since I was a young child, and now my children like to do the same. They have a good spread of beach toys and other play things for kids to enjoy, and they also have just enough of a variety of supplies to save a trip out of Palmetto Dunes to one of the larger grocery stores for most last minute needs. They also have hot breakfast and lunch options as well as a good spread of ice cream treats if you need a quick meal or dessert.

This location is convenient but the service was disappointing. Made me feel like I was not important enough for this establishment.

Inside smells like a coffee shop. Excellent selection for such a small store. They have a little of everything including breakfast and lunch. A huge assortment of candy and drinks as well as souvenirs. Be prepared to pay a little more but its worth it if you need something and dont want to have to face Island traffic.

Just left the General Store. Their Apple Pay wasn’t working and the chip on our card wasn’t working. The clerk was completely inconsiderate and unwilling to work with us. I offered to run three minutes down the road to get a different card and he responded that they would be closed and unavailable (it was 10:58 pm) . He was rude and indifferent. I walked to my car (20 seconds) and got a different phone so I could attempt to pay with a different Apple Pay card. They literally locked the door as I was walking up. I knocked. The clerk laughed and said he was closed. Then yelled through the door that his computer was already off. Unacceptable service. I will never spend another dime there.

Very cramped. They serve food you can buy in a Togo box. But you have to wait in line in the aisle people shop in. No room for people to walk back after they get food. Need to seriously do some rearranging. Especially with covid, people were all over each other :(Prices decent.
