This was our first experience with Hendricks Subaru and we were so very pleased with the pleasant and skilled service we received. Our battery was replaced after consulting with the service manager. It was cost effective to replace the 4 year old battery and have things checked. We will consider using Hendricks for future maintenance and it is a out 30 minutes closer to our home.

What a team! We found our Forrester and a sales crew that would work with us. They were patient, did not push. Michael the 5 star salesman answered all our questions and then spent a ton of time showing us how the vehicle worked! Money team went smooth, no high pressure tactics here. Most recently I took my car to Hendrick Collision Center where I was greeted professionally and in a friendly fashion every time I encountered anyone. When I realized I had left my garage opener in the car to be repaired, Tracie, the estimator, found the car and retrieved the opener for me. I was updated on any changes to the repair . I HIGHLY recommen the collision center to anyone who needs that kind of service.Hendrick Suburu has a friendly professional culture expressed by everyone i encountered. Absolutely the most unprofessional and disrespectful experience I’ve had in a long long time. Not even waisting the energy explaining the situation but I will NEVER SET FOOT ON THE LOT EVER AGAIN NOR EVER RECOMMEND TO ANYONE. Not the way to run a business. Threatened, over charged/under quoted, completely trying to rip us off and a complete waste of time. I truly hope someone treats them the way we were treated. I truly pray for you all as individuals.

The day I went car shopping and knew I wanted a brand new Subaru Forester, I went to Hendrick and had a horrible experience with the sales rep. He didn’t know much about the car and actually told me things that weren’t true about the vehicle’s features. The cost was not competitive with other Subaru dealerships and there was no negotiating possible.Fast Forward, I bought my car from another state.Then, I started getting my car serviced at Hendrick. It’s has been fine, but not stellar by any means.My last service was yesterday. I dropped my car off a little earlier than my scheduled appointment for an oil change and tire rotation. After waiting 3 hours, it was finally ready.The next day, the TPMS light came on, tire pressure was either not reading or it was not accurate to what I checked manually. I called at 7:00 am to have this addressed and was told someone will call me back shortly. I called again at 9:30 am and was told someone would call me back shortly. It is now almost 5:00 pm and I still have yet to hear from anyone. My sister has her brand new Accent serviced at Hendrick as well. She had a tire that was almost dangerously balding and no one ever mentioned anything to her about the uneven wearing when this is the only place she gets her car serviced. I’m definitely not happy with the customer service here. I would go elsewhere if possible.
I was greeted cordially when they realized I was just standing there waiting on them (all Subaru employees) to finish their conversation, about three minutes. I asked for an oil change, rotation of tires, and to have all the maintenance entries reset in the cars computer. I also inquired about CarPlay not working and was initially told it was their first time hearing of it. Then at check out, I was told this was a problem they already knew about and there was no fix. Finally, after I got home, I saw the tires had not been rotated nor were the maintenance entries reset. But I did get the oil changed so thats good!
Matthew and the Team at Hendrick did a great job of getting me into my first Subaru. I was very pleased with the process, from scheduling the test-drive, to completing the purchase that day. If youre in the market for a Subaru, definitely give Hendrick a try and ask for Matthew.
These folks are genuinely good. I went in with high defenses and a history of unpleasant car purchases, and they didnt push me.They sold me exactly the car I requested, down to the VIN number.When it turned out that the car I had chosen had a serious engine defect, they helped me get my car towed on a flatbed at no cost. The same day my car failed, they had it towed. It was dark, raining, and at least 45 miles away from the dealer. Subaru made it happen and then called to make sure I was satisfied.In the meantime, they let me drive one of their loaners.When I didnt feel safe returning to the same vehicle, they found me another immediately. It was newer and nicer, but they worked with me on the cost. It had to be shipped, so they ended up letting me drive their (very nice) loaner for almost a month.They stayed in contact, kept me apprised, went to bat for me, and never asked me to drive away in a car I didnt trust.Give Hendrick Subaru a shot and theyll earn your trust.
They completed service on my car in a timely manner. I used their shuttle service and the driver, Gracie was very sweet and on time. Excellent experience overall!

Another dealer had been struggling with a door lock problem on my Subaru Ascent for multiple visits. I set up an appointment with Hendrick to see if they might have any better results. I barely had time to get comfortable and the problem, which should have been obvious to the other dealers techs, was solved. Erik and Jonathan were the 2 people I dealt with and they could not have been more helpful and considerate.
Went in there just to look at a vehicle we found on internet search w/our son...his car, his show. Their entire Team made us feel very comfortable & No Pressure at all. End of day did not result in a Car purchase but truly believe our son found folks that want to help him find the right fit. Will be back Im sure.

2020 Outback in for routine service plus check tires and brakes. 2 hours later I went to bay to check on vehicle. It had just driven up. In that 2 hours of time no one ever attempted to give an update, even when they saw me walking around after an hour of sitting. Previously, I had update every 30 minutes. What happened to service?

I, with my kiddos, went in to Hendrick Subaru after researching the Forester and Outback for the last couple years. My family was pleasantly welcomed by the Hendrick Subaru team. My salesperson, Joe LaPorta, took the time to listen to what I was looking for in my new Subaru. He was very courteous and absolutely thorough in conveying everything that the Forester had to offer with respect to what I wanted within my next vehicle. Joe went above and beyond. Since I am new to the area, I was trying to figure out how to get my Forester home since I was keeping my car. Without hesitation, Joe offered to deliver it to my home. Joe and Thomas (?) drove an hour away to deliver my new Forester to my home. I am impressed with his attention to detail and actually does listen to his customers! He even remembered our sweet pup’s name in conversation (3 days after the sale!) I cannot fail to mention the dreaded paperwork! I asked for a rotate and balance and the techs said save your money, you need new tires and we won’t balance them until you have better tires on the vehicle.... love the honesty!!!!! And as always, the service was done quickly and efficiently and I am happy as always with their services........ thanks for everything guys
This was my second car purchase at Hendrick Subaru and the sales team, finance and service department are professional and courteous. The facility is clean, new and well-designed. I highly recommend this dealership.
Staff was nice enough, but they registered and tagged my vehicle in the wrong state. After very clear and specific instructions, they did the opposite. When I would call because my bank had not received the paperwork, I would get no assistance. The whole process took about five months and they did it wrong. They continued to tell me that everything was being done as I’d asked. Now I will pay an additional $1,500 dollars a year in taxes and insurance due to their dishonesty. Out of state and military buyers beware. They do not have your back!

I also LOVE the fact that they give you the paperwork in an envelope with their card so you know who you are dealing with and I just look it over and stick the envelope with all of my other paperwork for my car. I am very happy with my new Subaru. The sales associate I worked with, Braxton Baker, was professional, well-informed, and courteous. He answered every question I had and kept me posted on the arrival of my car from the manufacturer.In fact, I told Braxton that I was especially impressed with him after visiting many other car dealerships and finding apathetic sales associates. Since the pandemic began, car inventory has been low and several dealerships just didnt seem interested to working with me. In one, I had to wait 15 minutes for the receptionist to track down a salesperson for me to talk to. Braxton was the polar opposite of this, greeting me genuinely and helping me to find the right car for my needs every step of the way.

The experience of shopping for a car was unusually pleasant and professional. Richard saw at once that we were uncomfortable with features on the older used Subaru that we came in to see. He introduced us to a late model Subaru with redesigned features. From there we moved to a new Outback Touring. We bought what we truly wanted, without interference, only relevant assistance. It was good. That sounds simple, but it is true.

My first visit to Hendricks Subaru for a factory recall part replacement, oil change, and diagnostic scan was just the opposite, and I was put right at ease and enjoyed my wait in a comfortable lobby. Everything was reviewed with me, my questions were answered, and I am a more confident car owner because I know where to go for good service and information.

Went in to have my car looked at because of a warning light. Was told that I would have to pay a $150 diagnostic fee on top of the cost of repairs. Every other place I have been to in my life only charges the fee if the customer decides not to go through with the repair, not in addition. Feels like a rip-off. They said it was company policy, but Hendrick’s service departments for other brands don’t do that.Short sighted policy, IMO. I’m definitely not going to buy a car from a place with a service department that charges $150 more than the the service department Jim Burke just to do their job.
Loved our experience at Hendrick Subaru. We researched the Outback but werent sure if it was the right car for us. After test driving, we loved it but werent sure we were ready to buy. Then steps in Jasmine Brown, Product Specialist, who was outstanding. She was knowledgable, personable, funny, real when it came to helping us decide on purchasing. Our Outback was serviced twice during the past month, once for mandatory recall. The service manager is beyond accomodating and polite. The waiting area is well outfitted with beverages, snacks, comfortable chairs and TV. Wifi is great. Everything is extremely clean and professional. We bought our Subaru in GA, but you couldnt ask for a better service experience. So glad we choose Hendrick for this.

Wonderful experience at Hendrick Subaru in Hoover, AL. I recently had a service appointment to have body side moldings put on my 2017 3.6R Outback. The day prior to my appointment, I called to confirm & the service manager James went and put his hands on the parts to make sure they had arrived. He then put them up so they would not be misplaced before my appointment. When he found out that I was coming from almost 3 hours away, he wanted to make sure that there would be no hold up once I arrived. From the minute I rolled into the service bay, Zoie confirmed my appointment and got me settled in. She checked with me to see if I needed anything or if I had any questions. I had requested to meet a couple of people while I was there and she got right on it. The service manager James Durrett was very helpful in assisting me with upcoming service questions. It was a relaxing experience and everyone I encountered was nice and spoke to me. And most importantly to me, everyone was wearing a mask. So glad to see a business that is proving that they are protecting their customers from the Covid Virus in these uncertain times. A big thank you to everyone at Hendrick Subaru in Hoover, AL.

Driving from Kentucky to Florida and had a flat tire on the interstate took the first exit we came to and stopped at a station and put on a spare then I googled the nearest Suburu dealer and it said this was 3min away went there and they had me in and out in less than 30 min with a new tire and lots of southern hospitality snacks and cold water oh did I mention it was pouring down the rain they were a blessing and I am thankful they were right there. I love Subaru !

The service tech was pleasant and thoroughly explained all they did. He didn’t try to sell me any extra services. I saw my salesman, who greeted me warmly. My experience was exceptional!

It was so refreshing. I honestly dont think I have been in a more genuinely happy place of business. Even with all the CV19 issues we are having, everyone was courteous and patient. All were mask compliant and even though you couldnt see the smiles you FELT them! Jasmine and Mr. Paul were able to meet all my desires for/In a vehicle and they had excellent financing options (even beat my CU APR%). I am so appreciative of Hoover Subaru!!

Paying monthly for a warranty on top of our car payment. I recommend not adding a warranty to your car payment. Just buy an AAA subscription. We had issues buying a car at first. They said the car I wanted was available, then when we arrived at the dealership, they said we would be waiting an hour to see the car. No one told me this ahead of time on the phone. Then two hours later, they said the car didn’t pass an inspection and wasn’t going to be sent over from Tennessee. We didn’t even know the car was in Tennessee, because they didn’t mention it on the phone or bother to check. Why did we come by in the first place? They told us it was ready to be seen. Then they proceeded to show us other cars that were double the price we said was our threshold. The salesman handed us over to a younger salesman and said he had to help another couple that had an appointment instead of us (because they were buying a new car and we wanted a used one, and I’m sure he makes commission). So we sat around waiting on another salesman to help us. He found a car I liked, but we had to wait another 1-2 hours on that car to pass inspection and be cleaned again. We bought an SUV. My battery died shortly after we bought it. The warranty doesn’t cover it. Also, they tried to buy my 2008 Ford for $500. We said no, they came back and offered $600 then came back and offered $800. We said no, we will keep it and sell it. Someone was interested in buying it for $4000, but I sold it to someone I knew for $2500. At the end of the day, we bought an SUV that I was happy with, but it was a frustrating process that took 6-7 hours.
Everyone at Hendrick Subaru was super helpful and never once made the experience stressful. We mostly dealt with Michael and I’m so thankful we did. He was incredibly kind, patient and helpful. I would recommend you go to Hendrick and ask for Michael! We will always remember him and the experience they gave us in purchasing our first Subaru.
Logan is a very special young salesman. He is kind, patient and goes over and beyond for customer service. He makes sure he beats out other competitors as well. He has a very bright future in sales and possibly owning his own company one day.
My wife and I bought a new 2020 Forrester Touring this weekend. We were very impressed with the Hendrick dealership and how they went out of their way to make sure we were happy. Max, the salesman took great pride in telling us about all the features on the car and answering all our questions. He was very knowledgeable about the car and answered all of our questions. There were some problems getting our car and 2 cars were sold on other lots even after Dewayne had requested them to be sent. Dewayne could not have been more accommodating. He kept us informed regularly and must have apologized a dozen times for the mishap. Finally he located one in Atlanta and had his driver go get it. I was extremely impressed with Dewayne and his total commitment to making sure we were happy. I have never dealt with a sales manager that was so nice. He made me feel like part of his family. Nate was super and handled all the finances and made sure he explained everything to us. He was extremely complimentary of the owner and made sure we knew he was an honest trustworthy man that put customer service first. I can’t remember one person that didn’t smile and make us feel welcome. All of them after they found out my wife and I were retired military thanked us for our service. I highly recommend this dealership to those looking for a new car. First rate. *****

Very poor service. We were in for a free oil change from preivious poor service that almost caused a vehicle fire. The service tech recommended an air filter and tire rotation for 178.00. We refused to authorize the additional service because the tech did not show us a dirty air filter and the car only had 15,000 miles. After leaving the dealer we went to a Tire Engineer Center and had the tires inspected and the filter removed. The filter had a few leaves, easily cleaned, and no dirt or accumulated debris. There was no issue with the tires. Total attempted rip off.
They do what they say they will, sometimes....... But they will most certainly charge you an arm and a leg for it.
Jaylon Dates sold my wife a forester, while also trading in my crosstrek. All in all, a painless experience. Evidently, Jaylon is relatively new to the company, but I wasnt aware of that until the very end when somebody mentioned it. The team seemed happy for him to be doing well so fresh out of the gate, which was oddly endearing.I walked out with a price point I was happy with, and the exact car we wanted. The sales pressure and uppity attitude Ive gotten from another, unnamed but entirely obvious subaru dealership in the city, was absent here.
Friendly and willing to work out a deal. Even gave back an envelope full of change they found in my trade in that I had forgotten about, was surprised.
I appreciate the free oil change and tire rotation. They also agreed to check the pressure in my spare tire so that was nice. (I took out the cargo floor so they had easy access.) The scheduling process was good and the work was done quickly, while I waited. I would however suggest that they use face masks when approaching and speaking to customers, especially if the customer has one on. (This was in Spring 2020 during Covid-19 period.)
