Ashton and Warren was very pleasant. Some of the best service advisors I have ever dealt with. Made the process simple and transparent. I was also able to set up my work station at one of the desks in the customer lounge and didn’t want to leave. The complimentary Starbucks and pastries are a plus! This dealership is lucky to have such capable assets working here. Will make sure my family and I always ask for them!

They try. Sort of. From purchase to 2 years later, its been one thing falling through cracks after another. This service, they said someone would be right out to see what we needed, then left us sitting for 1.5 hours. When we inquired, they said it was already done. ? But, no one ever came out to see why wed brought it in. ? Its something like this every time. Good thing they have good donuts because its like pulling eye teeth to talk to appropriate decision maker, here. Be prepared to wait hours. Of course, when we were purchasing the vehicle, totally different story. From moment we paid them, run-around ensued. Features we paid for, but not delivered, were promised equivalent service dept credit but no one in service dept has pull to enforce the credit so we either wait hours or just double pay yo get out of there. 2 years later and we still havent received full credit we were promised. Its a major hassle every time maintenance is due. We dread it and are looking for another dealership. Willing to forfeit credit they still owe us just to find a dealership with more efficiency. Well miss the pastries.

I am a first time Mercedes Benz owner from Atlanta. (2018 C300) I was driving through Birmingham when my check engine light came on. Naturally, I panicked and found the Hoover Campus. I drove in the service dept. and was greeted by Mr. Sam. He was courteous and kind. He calmed me down about the light after only having my car for 4 months. Mr. Sam had the vehicle checked out and turns out it was just the gas door. Even though it was a minor fix, the service I received was impeccable. Thank you to the Hoover service team and Mr. Sam. I will definitely be purchasing my next vehicle from this dealership.

Caution: Ask how much each service costs before you get anything done here. I went in to get my service B done and I told them that my lift gate was not working. They MADE ME pay additional $150 for finding out what part is needed to fix my lift gate. If they had told me before the service about the $150 charge I would have chosen not to take the service.

I bought 2012 SLK 350 new at this dealership in June 2012. Always had great service with it except a wind noise from the roof just above the rearview mirror. I took it in to a closer dealer a couple of time while it was under warranty and they couldnt fix the problem. It finally got to the point I had to do something about the windnoise because it was getting so bad I couldnt hear the radio. Took it to Mercedes Benz of Birmingham and talked to the service manager, Paul Bishop. He immediately made me glad that I took it to him. He got my top replaced at a very good discount and then gave me a dealership discount on top of that. I am very pleased with Paul and the entire service dept. at this dealer. Thanks Paul for all you did, a great asset to this Company.

I’ve had my share of dealerships and rip offs. The staff(Katie, Cesar, Paul, Sam, Ryan). They have ALWAYS MADE THINGS RIGHT. Going the extra mile when and if they can, they will. Mercedes is suppose to be professional and have trained professional employees. I picked my car up from the paint shop, the service engine light came on. I took it straight to the Mercedes dealer have it serviced. I explained to them to take good care of the car more than 3 times, due to just having the car painted. I also told them this car may be older, but it is clean and freshly painted. Then when I got the car back, it had fresh scratches on it. I showed the scratches to the assistant manager. Then Dave comes out and tells me I did not have my car painted and starts repeating where, where, where did you get it painted at, this isnt Mercedes paint. He told me well this car is nothing its a 1999. I told him this my be a 1999 but it is very well kept with less miles on it than half of these cars out here for sale. (Which the car barely over 50,000 miles on it.) I asked to speak to the manager. He told me that where my car got scratches while being serviced was not worth their time. He said he was something like a manager and his manager was not going to fly in to see me. That a customer means nothing to them. Dave in maintenance is VERY unprofessional. He talked toned up and rude to me me in front of my two young daughters, the assistant service manager, other customers,and other employees. The assistant service manager stood there while Dave was yelling at me and he did not say anything to him. I had to repeatedly tell him to get away from me. Dave was trying to humiliate me. He treated me like I was a piece of garbage. I am a paying professional customer. Mercedes is suppose to be about customer satisfaction guaranteed.

Im very happy about my car because ever time if need to fix the car i just need to call the dealership and they take care all the problem.... like my radiator die and they fix but you have to buy the AMG not just Mercedes car... I live in Ann Arbor MI but was traveling on I-65 when another vehicle forced me off the road. Not a very “Mercedes” experience at all. After dealing with the used car sales manager and even the response I got from the general manager was worse than the average used car lot. Where do I start, posting a car that they plan on selling at auction, not posting good pictures online, not providing additional photos or video tour after 24 hours of request, not calling back in a timely manner, cheesy sales tactics, paying above market for a used vehicle.... If you expect nice service I would suggest using a Mercedes dealership out of Atlanta, well worth your time. Night and day difference.

Heart breaking! My husband and I purchased a used vehicle from the dealership in April...yes April for our high school graduate as we couldnt afford a new car. We managed to save enough $7000.00 to be exact to purchase.We were assured that there were no major problems with the vehicle. A scratch,dent,broken window we could fix. But a transmission problem knocked the wind out of our sail and hers. Now we have an even bigger problem and no money left to have it fixed. Im in tears.

Many years ago I leased an SUV from Crown Mercedes, and while it has changed ownership I was reminded today why I prefer NOT doing business with them. Service was quick as if they were doing me a favor. Kourtland would do well with a little remediation on customer service. Every encounter with a customer is an opportunity win them. I assure you next time I will do business at Grants Mill or another dealership entirely.

A wow experience!!! Ive purchased about 10 cars and Mercedes of Bham was the best experience Ive ever had. From the wonderful dealership having complimentary Edgars Bakery food and beverages to the friendly staff that make you feel comfortable the whole time you are there. Joe Coons was my sales professional and Joel was one of the managers I dealt with. They were great to work with, Joe knew his cars and was very friendly and not pushy. Joel one of the managers truly made me feel like I won and got a fair deal. This was my second Mercedes and I have to say Ive never experienced a better service dept. in my life. Amazing staff, my service manager Tory has always been super nice and trustworthy. The loaner car program they have there is clutch too! I love my car purchase but the Birmingham location needs to work on customer service. I’ve always had issues from purchasing my car to making a service appointment. Irondale does much better and choose to drive the extra miles for better customer service.Updated February 2020.Also, upon looking at my credit score inquiries, Mercedes ran my credit more than 5 times. I have multiple inquiries from “Mercedes Benz Financial Services”. I’m not sure why but of course it has affected my credit score. I do not recommend doing business with them. My experience there was overall stressful. I recently sold my Mercedes and I’m so happy that I no longer have to be involved with the company.

Like most reviews I encountered before visiting this dealership, I experienced first-class service and salesmanship throughout the process of leasing my 1st Mercedes. Car dealerships are REALLY annoying for the most part and are all the same concerning negotiating and financing etc since it is part of the process, but at MB of Birmingham this was relatively smooth! Joe Coons is a patient, knowledgeable, and experienced salesman and a really nice guy, ask for him when you call/inquire online! Also great experience from Cy and Trey as well in finance.
