I have never actually choked on an ice cream cake before but I got one for my birthday today and nearly did. Look at this huge piece of plastic! If I hadn’t heard it first, I might have just eaten this. I’ll give 2 stars for the presentation, it looked great but the ice cream was a little icey and fruit was not ripe. Will never buy from this location again, beware.

We hired Marble Slab River Oaks to bring an ice cream bar to our wedding celebration at Oak Tree Manor in Spring. Gilberto was a joy to work with! It was great to have him as part of our celebration. The whole process was easy and the ice cream bar was just what I’d dreamed. Our guests loved it too.

RUDE!I wouldve rated them better if they had served us ANY ice cream (even if it was a bad ice cream).We were there at 10:42 pm and according to the Google maps it said they close at 11 pm.There was plenty of time for us to go get a scoop and head out. Its not like we came there at 10:59 pm.But they refused to open and upon knocking the doors they signaled that they were closed already.The front door of the store had store hours which ALSO said closing time is 11 pm.See photos attached.Including a screenshot attached with time as well.Not coming here again!

I just visited Marble Slab for the first time and I’ll definitely be back! The crew at this location are friendly and super efficient. I tried the Flamin Hot Cheetos ice cream and it was surprisingly pretty good. My girlfriend got a banana split and it was even better. Highly recommended.

I love this ice cream place, my favorite flavor is Red Velvet mixed with walnuts. They also serve popcorn, shakes and birthday cakes. If you are a loyal customer, you can get a free ice cream if you collect 7 stamps on the loyalty card. It can be busy in the summer months but they hire some teenagers for extra help. I always found them to be very polite and helpful. I get exhausted watching them serve customers in the summer as they are so busy but the girls always manage to smile.

The place reeks! My ice cream looked crusty as if it was refrozen and my cone was stale as cardboard. It wasnt even worth it since staffing and customer service seemed nonexistent. Please do not come to this place, there are better places to go for ice cream.

I love Marble Slab Creameries ! They have great prices and you can get as many toppings as you want ! They have great customer service and the staff are always really nice . If you are going doing the covid they have great protocols set in place to protect you and them! They have waffle cones and bowls. They also have shakes and custom ice cream cakes! If you go here you would not be disappointed! I reccomend Marble Slabs to anyone who loves ice cream and customizing it too!

Waffle cone was extremely stale, so much that I am concerned about how old it actually was. I couldnt finish it... Also found a chunk of actual ice in my ice cream.

Unreasonably long wait. Everytime I show up, there are between 10-20 people in line and only 1 person working the counter. You need to hire more employees. Waited 20min this evening and the line only moved by 3 people. Left after that.

Marble Slab was easy to work with to order a birthday cake for my son. Yolanda worked with my schedule - as I needed the cake a little earlier than anticipated. The cake was delicious and every single bite was eaten....my only regret was not getting a bigger cake! I would gladly have had leftovers from that! :)

I order from UberEats. 20 min delivery BUT its 90+ in Houston. The package should be packed in ice to keep the ice cream frozen. Prefer not to eat ice cream through a straw.

The icecream had some weird ice-shaving texture to it which is the same texture that is in melted and than refrozen icecream. this place is super unclean, especially during covid do not visit. seriously, the whole day i couldnt stop vomiting, not worth it

Woman was not very friendly. She did not explain to me that my ice cream would be too big before charging me for the next size which was $3 more. Wasn’t worth it. I also didn’t get the fudge I asked for and she did not do a good job of chopping the toppings in and just mixed them around instead.

I gave 3 stars because the lady serving the ice cream was nice but the ice cream not so nice plus the cones tasted old...when my son Mikey dislike its not nice!!! 😆

Customer service was good and they moved the line through very quickly. It wasnt the newest one Ive ever been too and could use some updating. As such, it also wasnt the cleanest Ive ever seen. While I would go back, it might not be my first choice.

This location didn’t have the cones they advertised, nor the children’s sized cups. the service was very slow too. the woman working was moving as if she were at her home being casual...when there was a line. i will not be going back to this location of marble slab. a huge let down. i’ve never experienced either of these issues at other locations.

My wife and I were passing time with our son, looking for a nearby yogurt or ice cream shop when I found this on Google Maps. How could an ice cream shop get 3 star reviews? I asked aloud. Upon arriving, we immediately started to understand why. The place was HOT inside!! Not only was it not what was to be expected for an ice cream shop, but it was also dilapidated. The person working emerged from the back room as if they were hosting a poker game and didnt want to be disturbed. After placing the ice cream on the marble slab, it immediately started to melt. Im familiar with these shops and know that the counter surface promotes freezing, keeping the ice cream cold as they work the ingredients, that was unexpected. As soon as she handed my son the ice cream cone, it was already dripping. By the time we walked to Starbucks (3 doors down), he was a chocolate mess! The napkin holders were stocked only on one side, the side facing the register, she had to flip them around so I could get some (like they forgot to do this when they opened at the start of the day hours before). As soon as we were handed our change, she returned to her poker game. Never had I imagined you COULD have a negative experience getting ice cream. They take no pride in their service or their product. Avoid this place and drive a little further to the next one, trust the negative reviews.

I enjoy them every time I go. I always get the sweet cream on a waffle cone.

12/8/2017 I waited for a while before received help it wasnt anyone in there but me I think because of the area that it located in. Thats why its still open it has a old smell .. it needs to be updated and the ice cream needs to be updated, and the temperature really needs to be verified and checked.. Vanilla didnt look like vanilla. Over all the lady was nice to me.

Unfortunately I didn’t heed the poor rating of this shop. It’s tiny, in dire need of renovation, and the ice cream selection is really small. The marble slab they mix with ice cream on couldn’t have been frozen, because my ice cream was a runny mess when it was scooped into the bowl. At least the staff woman was super sweet and friendly!Definitely won’t be coming back to this location.

Worst place ive ever been too in my life. Dont ever think of showing up and get fast service with a smile. Because you will be waiting for 45 min, only to catch an altitude for having the audacity to order from this establishment. This was the rudest, slowest, most deliberately obscene excuse for service Ive ever come across anywhere in my life. Not only do i suggest avoiding this place, i would go as far as to suggest health and food safety is completely ignored.

The service was fast and friendly. They have a new limited time flovor called the Charcoal Mocha. Super good, get it while its still in stores.

Sad to see that people have had so many bad experiences here. I grew up down the street and have many memories of this marbles slab, all of them positive. The last time I went was last month, to take my two nephews for a treat. The young man working was attentive and friendly. Thankful to have them!

I like this place because they have banana ice cream and gave me a lot of pecans, however, the last two time that Ive ordered my favorite the guy behind the counter was a little skimpy on the portion size, barely to the top of the large cup, they used to give e me a heaping cup full, but they still get 5 stars because they are one of the few places to make and stock banana ice cream

Because this says they close at 1 am but they actually close at 12 am. an employee was very rude. all i did was get out of the car and he said your not coming in. we are closed. in a rude tone. I have no problems with the fact that they were closed and wouldve explained google says they close at 1 so maybe he can fix it and get less people like me trying to get icecream past 12 am. but no. he had to say rude things then go in before I could say anything 😐

I used to work here and the boss overworked me. Had me come in 2 hours earlier than usual and tried to have me come in on my off days. He got mad at me because I was looking malnourished and exhausted all the time. He didnt care once about my well being at all, all be cares about is his money. Trust me, I worked my butt off here and gave it my all but once the customers noticed I how I was looking from time to time, they brought it to my attention. Thats when I knew I had to throw in the apron and call it quits. I brought it back to his attention and in all honesty he just shook his head and didnt care. 10/10 dont ever work for them.

Ok ice cream, but terrible service. My boys of 2 and 4 years old were super excited to get ice cream. The long wait and long faces made them wonder what’s wrong with the ice cream people. Will not return .

Bathroom is disgusting! Service is horrible..owner/manager is non existant. We waiting in line behind 4 people and it took 25 minutes meanwhile the worker walked outside in her uniform to talk to her friend . I just dont trust that the ice cream is going to be good when the place looks so dirty.

Waffle cones were thin and horrible. Ice cream was melted. The older lady behind the counter kept on asking my girlfriend how much ice cream She wanted on her cone. We have never been asked that at any ice cream place. The older lady working was just plain rude, horrible customer service. Place was dirty, we did not get our receipt either. Cant wait to get a free ice cream but not going back to this location ever.

I only gave it one star because I had to in order to leave a review! I entered the store with my toddler son and and mother where the cashier was helping another customer. I told the customer to take her time as we were in no rush because we were undecided on which ice cream we wanted. After asking the cashier prices we decided that we wouldnt purchase anything as the prices were a bit expensive and we just wanted something small for my one year old son as we waited for the bus, after realizing we werent ordering anything the lady sarcastically stated if your waiting on the bus we needed to be at the stop and that the bus wouldnt pick us up from inside the store After informing the lady that we were aware of where the bus picks us up and also what time it comes she began to argue with us telling us that God sees everything. I have never been so offended in my life. I do not understand why religion was brought up in the conversation. Im not really sure if she was calling us liars or what. After going back and forth with the lady (whom could speak very little English) I asked for a manager, she replied I am the manager I then asked her is there a complaint hotline number and she told me I cant give you the number. And that I could find it myself. I WILL NEVER GO TO THIS LOCATION AGAIN AND ITS 5 MINUTES AWAY FROM MY HOUSE. After getting home and pulling up the store on Google I should have known better than to go because the reviews sucked and pretty much the same complaints.

Ice cream a must on a Hot Day

Not the best Marble Slab in Houston. Ive gone to a few and this has been the worst one and I hate to say it. A lot of mix-ins were stale and the ice cream ended up being soupy and melted. We asked to use our slab rewards and it ended up being the same price. ( i didnt ask why though, my fault). When I went back to order an other ice cream 5 minutes later, the lady was on her phone for a minute saw me and went back to her phone. Weird because its in a good area in Houston

I come to this one all of the time. came in for a late light snack, and i got the tenth degree. ive worked in retail and the customer service industry since i was 15....i walked in got eye rolls and talking under the breath. don’t come here late you will literally lose your appetite. i asked if it was okay and they said “ugh yeah...you have 10 mins” people coming is before closing is apart of the business. you just roll with it not chastise people. never coming back.

I love the toppings for the ice cream

Literally the slowest marble slab ever. My husband and I have come here several times because we live nearby, and every single time, weve had to wait 10 minutes or more, with usually only one other person in line in front of us. There is almost always a second person in the back room doing nothing or on their phone. And they dont seem very apologetic about it at all. We will be making a point to go to the next closest ice cream shop next time we want ice cream.

A sweet treat on a hot summer day. Ive never been to marble slab before. So to day was a pleasant surprise. The parking is tight for the strip center, so be ready to circle the lot at least twice. Also be prepared for dogs of all sizes to be in the area. Next door is a natural pet supply store called Natural Pawz.This location has several low fat and frozen yogurt selections available, but I went for the gusto. It appears the ice cream flavor is a minor component. The myriads of toppings are the real stars. I tried the birthday cake and sweet cream flavors. For the types of toppings I planned to add the birthday cake would be too much. So the sweet cream won. According to the signage they are now offering unlimited toppings. Yes you read that correctly, unlimited toppings. So my white chocolate waffle bowl was about to explode by the time I was done. I had white chocolate chips, caramel sauce, strawberries, walnuts, pecans, marichino cherries, and whipped cream. The upgraded bowl and cone choices were only like $1.00. Compared to other ice cream parlors Ill say thats a honey of a deal. I created a sundae with one scoop that I normally would have had three scoops to capture all the flavors I love. All for the low low price total of about $6. Marble slab stays open later than most to cater to customers evening cravings.Tables and chairs are available for eating in. I must say the width on the chair is curve girl approved, but the hard metal frame is not. Thankfully you eat ice cream rather fast any way cause if not your legs would be numb.They do have a rewards program. At one point you could collect stamps on a frequent purchase card, but now they have gone digital. Be sure to sign up at your time of purchase so no points are missed. Overall it was an amazing experience. I wonder what creation my next trip will bring?

Ok at best. Flavors seemed canned and synthesized. Too sweet. Not worth it at the price they offer.Vivoli in Florence Italy is pretty good. Fiocco di Neve was supreme... Walked 2 miles for the last one.This one could be a great deal better for the price IMO. Use fresh local fruit... Go for natural mangoes. Try all natural not synthesized in a vat using naturalchemicals from a flavor chemist. Bask n robbers was better.

I went when they were closed, but they were very nice and awesome, they opened the door and served their delicious ice cream, so that’s above and beyond great service.Thank you guys

The ice cream isnt bad, but the service is soooooo slow. If there is a line be prepared to wait a solid 15 minutes.

I went to the creamery the other night and it took 10 minutes for the staff to realize there was anyone inside after I rang the bell three times. I also ended up throwing the ice cream away because the cone was stale and hard to chew. I was very disgusted out by this creamery.
