From the initial appointment and a few emails from Ashley toJosh who came out and surveyed and quoted the job, to the installers. The experience was easy and communication and service was exceptional! I highly recommend Gate Service Pros!!

The repair was good. No problems there but the pricing situation was questionable. Josh told me on the phone $550 to repair a broken gate lock. He said if we needed a new gate closing spring it would be another $450. Turns out we didn’t need the latter. So $550, right? Instead repair man asked for $985! That said, the workmanship was good.

Gate mag lock quit working. Catch broke off. They replaced mag lock, welded to fence, rewired through the gate, replaced the batteries and harness in the control unit. Helped analyze problems with remote mounted keypad. Worked was efficient, effective and cleaned up upon completion.

Publio was very responsive and helpful. He managed to tweak some things to save me money - the gate battery was crazy expensive! However, he texted each time before he arrived and he even took care of some dormant wasps in the gate entry box for us, so that’s going above and beyond, I think!

I wish no stars was an option.... I called these guys to do some work on my electrical gate . They sent someone out to take a look @ the work needed to be done . Supposedly he was the owner but anyways he took a look told me he could do the work . I agreed because I really needed it done . Once the person that was going to do the work came the next day it was a different story .He couldn’t do one part of the work that was previously said could be done by the “owner” . Then tried to charge me a higher price point than what was previous discussed for the work he did do . Until I had to object then he had to call his boss to get the right price.I went with these people because of the ratings but beware it’s all a joke .

My issue thankfully turned out to be just a battery, but I feel confident that he would have been able to handle a more complicated problem with ease. I was offered 2 different batteries, one with more storage for a higher cost. I appreciated the option. Can’t compare price because no other company got back to me until after Houston Gate had come. Gate Service Pros were amazing especially Ted!!! We originally had another company install the gate, and we had a really bad experience. The original company took months to install the gate and never showed up when they said they would. When we finally got the gate installed, the post was leaning and the gate did not close properly. I reached out to Gate Service Pros on a Tuesday, and they arrived on that Thursday to assess the issue! TED WAS AMAZING! He told us everything that was wrong with the gate within 5 minutes. He gave us a quote and scheduled to come out the following week to repair the gate. The following week he called to tell us he was on the way and arrived right on schedule. Ted fixed th gate within a couple of hours, and it looks fantastic! It was such a relief to not have to chase people to perform a service. He was extremely professional and knowledgeable. Houston Gate Service Pros did a great job at my house. My driveway gate engine had burnt out and I had another poll that needed repositioning. I needed the gate repaired immediately to be able to access my garage and keep my puppies in the yard. They were able to do the job the next day and Mike, the technician who did the work, did a great job. He even appeared to like Miniature Schnauzers!

I seen this company had great reviews on line so I called them and other companies to give a bid on repairing a set of gates that were damaged from being hit by a vehicle on a break in on our property. they came out and in 15 minutes quoted me $13,500.00.. And 2 of the other companies have also quoted me $3,000.00-$4,000.00... So if you want to waste your money no mater the quality and pay 5 times the price call them. other than that call ANYONE else!!

This company is very prompt and professional. They showed up when they said they would and they did great work and very quickly. I am impressed because it was very difficult to find a company to even give me a quote. I do not know if they are the most economical option but you get what you pay for with this company.

They were able to come out and look at our gate two days after we called. Once we figured out the whole system needed to be replaced they were able to get a new one installed that same day. A little pricier than a couple other places that I called but at the end of the day, our gate was working and I was pleased with the service we received.

I called because we moved to a home that had a manually locked gate, so we purchased a gate motor with the intention of installing ourselves, but as we got busy, we realized it would be easier to call someone else for install, especially someone who has experience with motorized gate installations. When I called about installation for a mighty mule gate motor, we were told to go back to the store where you bought it to get replacement parts (even though we were not missing any parts since the kit is new) and to, ask the store about who can help you because we dont work with low quality products. It was an interesting response to what I thought was an easy request and an easy job for the company. I guess I understand only wanting to work with certain products, but its not like we would blame the install for problems with the product, and as far as we could see, it seemed like mighty mule was the only option on the market for a swing arm gate. All in all, if youre in the same situation as us and looking for help with install, you probably wont get any help from this company unless you use their products. Were new to the whole idea of a gate for a single family home, so this response from the company was unexpected.Update: As an update, the owner of the company reached out to me to explain some of the comments from the initial phone call. The person who originally answered the phone was new to the world of gate motors, and once he explained the reasoning and context behind the things that were said, her comments made sense. He explained that the company had prior experiences with mighty mule products that made them prefer to work with gate motors that were more consistent in quality. They also had an easier time repairing their preferred motors because they had better access to repair parts. Because of their early experiences, they no longer install mighty mule gates because of the difficulty they had with the products. I appreciated both the call back and the conversation that followed because it was both educational for me, and it also showed me that this company has a lot of pride in their service. Because of this interaction, we are planning to use this company to install a much needed garage motor. If you were like us and trying to figure out what to do about a manual gate, I recommend giving this company a call to help you decide which direction you want to go in.

The exit gate at my RV park stopped opening which caused great inconvenience for my residents. Todd came quickly, repaired the gate and cleaned up meticulously. I called GSP for a issue I was experiencing with my electric gate. Within (3) days a person (Josh) came to my house and gave my an indication on the spot to fix my issue. I agree to the proposal and the next day (Anthony) arrived to repair my gate. Anthony was at my home for 3 hours and did an excellent job. He explained how the original installation was done incorrect and he repaired my gate and reinstalled it correctly. I was very pleased with his workmanship and professionalism. Happy, happy, happy! Ive had my gate latch replaced several times over the past decade by other companies and have never been happy with the results. Gate Service Pros were not only efficient and friendly but they were reasonably priced and were able to find an alternative gate spring that does exactly what I wanted. Ted called to keep me informed of his arrival time and did a great job.

The technician was on time, and explained everything in detail. We discussed the age of gate, in the future replacing as parts become harder to find. But he stated it was an easy quick $300 repair at this time and he then went the extra mile, greasing it all up, making adjustments so the it closed and opened perfectly. They will get my business in the future whether repair again, or when time to replace.

Had Ryan come out and look at our place and he gave us a great quote and timetable for the work. When I told them that I had an existing 10 stretch of wooden fence elsewhere that I would be getting rid of after the driveway gate was installed, they said theyd be happy to remove the old fence and haul it away. The finished product looked even better than I couldve imagined and they were spot-on with the timing of the whole project and not only did they remove/haul my old fence, they also filled the old post holes with cement to get rid of them.Cant recommend this company enough and will look forward to working with them again in the future on whatever projects come up.

I was scheduled for an appointment between 11 am and 3 pm. No one called nor showed up. Extremely frustrated to have to stay home for a 4 hour window for no reason.

They were out the next day after I called them during the flooding caused by Hurricane Harvey to fix our gate. They quickly diagnosed and fixed the problem. Turns out the transformer was fried because of a power surge. They easily could have tried to tell me that the motherboard was damaged too, but they didnt.We will definitely use these guys again.

When our gate opener quit working, Ted came to diagnose the problem. The solar panel was not working and had drained the batteries. He promised to have the new parts installed the next day, and true to his word, he came. Gate opener works beautifully now. We had a bad inital fence out in by Houston Fence. Dont use them they are awful. Since we had to repair the fence and unit we shopped around. We found that GSP was the most responsive to come out to look at it immediately. Since we were a commercial venue we need it fixed asap. Ted diagnosed, took time to explain and ensured we have the right problems fixed. He got the right part and came back to fully replace entire system for us in a matter of hours. First time I’ve ever used Gate Service Pros, and I LOVE this company. Unbelievably courteous and very professional from the receptionist to the service technicians. Ted is a rock star - he showed up on time and had the background info to get to work right away on solutions. He unwound the nightmare another company installed on the driveway gate at my house that wasn’t working, programmed all new remotes to work with both the gate and my garage, installed a new electric eye and keypad, and took the time to walk me through everything step-by-step. The entire visit took less than an hour, and he DID NOT UPCHARGE. Most service professionals assume that nice parts of town are exclusively inhabited by ultra-wealthy residents for whom money is no object. I appreciate the integrity of this company. I was charged appropriately (in fact, less than I expected because Ted didn’t try to sell me a new operating system or anything I don’t need), and treated with respect. We have used GSP for over 4-5 years. Our gate was installed 10 years ago by a less than reputable company, and we turned to GSP to fix issues ever since. They recently installed a new motor and rehung/repoured concrete for the pole that holds the gate and the job was terrific! Every technician I have worked with is professional, courteous, and has taken their time to explain the workings of the gate, how-tos etc. GSPs customer service has always been awesome, quick to schedule a technician out for any kind of repair work, and they communicate incredibly well. Its nice to have their number in my home repair folder!

Gate stopped opening. Called Sentry and was told the entire gate operator needed replacement, no doubt or question. Called Gate Service Pros for second opinion and the gate operator was inspected the next business day, fixed on the spot. GSP has great service and honesty. Saved over 3,000 of wasted money by going with GSP over Sentry. Sentry is a fraud! Gate Service Pros is wonderful!
