Will, Mike, and Alejandro are all fantastic. Will was a great instructor for the handgun safety and fundamentals course that I took, Alejandro and Mike did a great job swapping out my stock trigger and sights, and they all give great advice to folks like me who are new to firearms. The range is clean and comfortable, and just to top it off the bathrooms are clean in case you care about that. Cant recommend Liberty enough.EDIT: saw a few reviews mention the recent lack of inventory. I saw some old videos - the place used to have a much larger offering, but my guess is COVID-related supply chain issues have hit smaller shops harder. I still recommend ordering things through them, especially since theyll install parts that you order through them for free (though I dont think they provide more serious gunsmithing services like milling a slide).
Not much of a gun store. Very limited quantity and very overpriced. I went in and was looking at pistols, but a guy walked in and the sales guy left me and waited on him for ten minutes. He never said Ill be back with you or looked at me at all. I walked out and I will never be back. Jerks in there. Go to Academy for better prices and nicer people..
A very nice range, conveniently located inside the Loop. Staff is knowledgeable and helpful.
50$ fee for membership and 15$ each visit. Rip off. Won’t even let you try the range out before committing.
Hello. These guys are professionals. I purchased multiple items from them and the staff was very knowledgeable and patient with my questions. They had a wide variety of options, which is rare in this time and age with gun sales going through the roof and shortages aplenty. Ask for Mike or Will is my suggestion. They even guided me to where I could get ammo even though they didnt have any at the time. They also offer LTC courses regularly and have water for customers as you wait for your proceed. They truly have the best interest of the customer and gun owner in mind. Again, you wont be disappointed. Thank you for reading.
Awesome experience and customer service. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff who genuinely care about their customers.
Excellent! Professional, helpful, and very knowledgeable. They helped me with gun selection ideas. Range assistance and answered all my questions.I hadnt fired a gun for 16 years. They gave me confidence and encouragement to practice on the range with various hand guns. One fee and you can use any rental gun you want to try. Really happy I became a member of Liberty Armory. Many Thanks,SW
Friendly staff, quick service jobs, pleasant place. Knocked out a sight install job on my Glock in no time. Couldnt recommend them enough!
Friendly and welcoming staff, with nice selection of rentals to choose from. Fees were very reasonable and nice selection fun targets to choose from. Equipment all looked to be in good cosmetic and working order.
Went in a few years ago to ask about an issue I was having with a thread protector and the staff was incredibly condescending, like if was bothering them to ask if they had a particular grease for it. Had a decent shop but thankfully my money spends just as well anywhere else a paying potential customer is welcome.
I had a gun delivered to these guys and it couldn’t have gone any smoother. They were beyond polite, very helpful, and the transaction was very quick. They even played with my daughter while I filled out the paperwork. I would highly recommend this spot for anyone needing an FFL or place to shoot inside the loop.
Great Indoor Range! I actually really love this place. The membership fee is reasonable, they dont charge you to bring your own gun, ammo or targets and are extremely professional and knowledgeable. The staff knows me by name and are always friendly. Any time, I have questions they are ready to help, the store and range are super clean and there is always a lane available, no matter what time or day I come in.At other ranges, you have to pay a high initiation fee and also pay monthly dues, but here you pay one small membership fee and a reasonable range fee each time. My 1 year membership was $50, the range fee is $15, and a guest is $5; that works for me! )You can earn a lifetime membership for free with any gun purchase. The guns are reasonably priced and the selection is good.) Rentals are also excellently priced, although you have to buy the ammo from them to shoot.I will continue to use this range as my go to place. My only complaint is that the inventory isnt on the website!
Extremely helpful; went beyond the call in installing and adjusting red dot and laser. And pretty careful about social distancing, which I appreciated.
Definitely the top 3 places in Houston for all of your firearm needs. Customer service is top notch with very knowledgeable people working here. Wouldn’t let anyone else work with my firearms but them
Love this place. The staffs a lot more approachable than some of the bigger gun shops, and infinitely more knowledgeable than the big box stores like Academy and Cabelas. The range is very well maintained, and Ive never felt like some yahoo in an adjacent lanes about to let a negligent discharge off in my direction. Five stars, without a doubt.
Decided to check out this store on a way to a friend house. And I must say, staffs were extremely friendly and helpful. They arent pushy about selling their products like other gun stores around Houston, which is huge plus for me since Im not always ready to dish out $500 and just want to check out a store and size things up.Surprisingly, they even recommend products outside their store to me to help me get what Im looking for.Another point, great store if youre extremely new to gun and doesnt know what you want. Theyre very open about letting you handling the handguns ( Im talking dry firing, racking slide...etc ). Handling handguns before you buy one is very important in my book if youre new and dont know what youre doing. The fist handgun you buy pretty much define your path later on.
Loaded mags, got range bag ready. Drove up to Liberty and got there at 12:05. They open at noon on Sundays. They were having a private class and the showroom and range were not available. Had to drive home and unpack. Dont trust the hours listed on Google. Be sure to call before you go to make sure they are actually open for business. Been here before and it is a nice range for being in the city. Clean, good lighting on range, good ventilation and helpful staff. Bummed I did not get to shoot today.
On my very first recent visit as a customer, I found The Liberty Armory staff, to be very friendly, supportive, and professional in their approach to this customer. They were very respectful and knowledgeable in explaining policy, and after, there was no hesitation in allowing me to visit the range itself, pointing out and going over with me its operation.Although I wished there were more firing stalls, they were well ventilated and clean.
Great service and they were very knowledgeable. Even though I am a beginner to the AR-15 world they answered all my questions and treated me nicely. Big thanks
Im not really a gun person but recently have felt the need to be protected. I went here to practice shooting before purchasing a gun. They didnt make me feel ridiculous for being nervous and were very helpful. They talked to me at length about what might be the best option for me based on size, recoil, safety/jamming, among other things. Great guys.
Always great service and helpful.
Nice little hole in the wall. And I mean that in a nice way. Its one of those around the corner places that you can go to if you need to give a new gun purchase some breaking in time. Just dont go there if youre looking to test some defense loads (they dont allow hollow point ammo), or have anything that can punch a hole bigger than what a .45 or an AK-47 can (just lame). Also, there are only 5 lanes on the range, so dont show up during peak hours since the place is so small and the awaiting area is tiny. Im guessing the range was meant to be more of a demo area for the guns they would like to SELL to people, than a dedicated attraction. But considering that inside city limit gun ranges are somewhat of a novelty, that really shouldnt have been the thinking. All in all, a decent place, but not a GOTO gun range. You could do better elsewhere for the same amount of money, but with less restrictions.
Gun prices are slightly above average and accessories seem to be at average but worth it for the friendly service. Alejandro was a great help, I am new to the state and he gave me lots of good info and hooked me up with normal capacity mags for a good price that are not carried in the store. Ive visited most shops in the area and Liberty is definitely on my top 3. I prefer to give my money to local shops instead of the big box stores. After getting my Tx dl they will most likely get most of my business. Did not use the range yet
Reasonable range rules. Great customer service. Quality guns and ammo for sale as well.
Super friendly and knowledgeable staff; very convenient with solid range facilities.
Good experience. The staffs are very nice and patient to green hands.
Small but good range. Knowledgeable friendly staff. No sales pressure. Highly recommend it.
Great guys working here! Happy to have a place like this in the Bellaire area. Everyone is very knowledgable.
I had bought stuff at this store several times and had always had a good experience so I decided to take my friend who was looking to buy An AR-15 for his first gun. The moment we walk through the door this lady demands to see our IDs and then tells us that because we are 20 we cant buy anything in the store and that we needed to leave. I have been to dozens of gun stores across the south and have NEVER been ID like that. I proceeded to tell here that the legal age to purchase a long gun was 18 which she didnt believe until her boss corrected her. However, he proceeded to tell us that he would not sell us any AR-15s because we were not 21 and unless we wanted a shotgun we couldnt buy anything. I told him that I already owned over a dozen guns including ARs and AKs and that the legal age was 18. So the owner told us to leave. Im sorry my friend and I dont meet your arbitrary standards for gun ownership but I will not be giving any business to this store ever again. It wasnt even that he refused to sell, I understand its at theyre discretion, but just how rude they were about it. I guess this is what you get for not sticking with the great people at lone star defense
Friendly staff always clean always a nice visit.
Great place to practice. Fantastic instructor. Great employees
Knowledgeable people, very helpful, no sales pressure. The best customer is a well informed customer is their philosophy.
Thank you for actually taking the time to reply. I was an old Woodrows customer when they were a 7-11, and having a range so close to Bellaire was a great decission. I was disabled overseas in 2009 and have been droping into ranges to check on where to go after MEMORIAL GUN CLUB shut down.Do you allow Vepr 12 on range? Im having a hard time finding the box store gun shops to allow it and I dont use slugs..since you were kind enough to reply so fast to my earlier review, can I inquire if you allow 12 guage even for a single session to zero in site and break in bolt.Tha ks again for actually paying attention to reviews...it speaks so well for your shop. Look forward to next visit, Ill look you up next week.
Love the staff and the place!
I was extremely anxious / nervous about going to a shooting range because Im a beginner. Alejandro & Amaan were EXTREMELY helpful . Alejandro taught me how to properly hold a firearm and walked me through the process of choosing a firearm that was comfortable for me. Amaan got me up to date on the gun laws and and gave me a lot of useful information on my weapon of choice. These gentleman were extremely easy going and made my first time at the shooting range a breeze ! My fiancè and I got a membership as well as purchased a firearm. Who knew this process would be so easy ? We definitely felt welcome and WILL be coming back for more practice. Come here if you want awesome customer service and great information. You wont regret it. Thanks Again Amaan & Alejandro .
Worst place ever we got here at 8:13 and the people weren’t open but it’s friday and it closes at 9 stupid place don’t come here unless you want to waste your time they won’t open if you get here near 7 or 8 when that’s not even the time it closes
Prices are reasonable, knowledgable, curtious staff, and a gun range close to home. Also have CHL classes and other training offerings. Purchased two handguns there paid less than other gunshops advertise. . Personal service and quality brand products. No online purchases no Saturday night specials
Family owned place, and they have a few very nice shooting lanes in the back. They dont do FFL transfers. Im reserving judgement because they may have been in an after-lunch energy slump, but my major complaint during my visit was that I felt unwelcome. Specifically, I couldnt find a member of the staff that was conversational. My enthusiasm was met with a curt, monotone replies, despite me being the only person in the store with three staff members present. They still answered all my questions in a straightforward manner, and ended up directing me to Houston Outfitters nearby. The Houston Outfitters guys talked up a storm, set me up with FFL forms and a business card straight away, and met any questions with the sort of education Id expect from a shop clerk talking to a non-expert.
Loved being there they really steer me toward product iam gona love. I never have a bad experince there.
Good range but horroble 0rixes
