This store has good selections and reasonable prices for Asian vegetable. But I was so disappointed the receipt showed I was charged twice for a bag of roti I purchased! I didn’t realized it until I got home so it’s not worth driving back to dispute the $4.99 extra charge. The cashier was working while constantly talking to his friend who is standing over the counter next to me so I suspected charged the same item twice because he was so distracted (not trying to cheat, at least that was I hope). Anyway I will think twice about going back to this store. To me it’s so unprofessional and disrespectful to carry on long conversation with someone else while serving your customer.
Vishala is one of the few place I am willing to shop. Great staff and I literally cant find better prices.Samosas fresh daily and amazing, or some other baked goods. If you live nearby and dont visit for the amazing prices, you are definitely missing out.
Nice variety of spices and very clean. Warm staff
Excellent store with a variety of quality products. Staff is also helpful and professional. I highly recommend this market and visit frequently for all my grocery needs.
My go to Indian grocery store. Vegetables are fresh most of the time, and they do a great job of making seasonal fruits (like Lychees) and veggies available. Reasonably priced variety of pulses/grains/Masala and their store brand masalas are good too (with the exception of chilli powder, which is great, but incredibly spicy). Their fresh thepla, debra, malai sweets and dabeli are great snacks as well and are usually available in the afternoon on weekends.
Good Indian store but normally I did not found any discount on items. Buy staff is friendly.
One of the best indian grocery stores in energy corridor as well as katy area.Good items. Good quality. Large variety.
I like their prices. Its really good. They still need to get some more varieties. Staff is also good especially Sachin. It seems he became well known person within less period of time.I think Vishala (Eldridge) is one of the best stores in Houston. Their snacks and tea sections are really good. You also get homemade food items. They really need to expand their store like Parivar so that we can get more items.Good work from Sanjay bhai and Sachin for brining Vishala up....👍
Really good selection of items... diverse range of products from all over India, including freshly prepared sweets, savories like samosas/khaman, rotis, theplas. Excellent range of frozen items and the most helpful staff.
Highly recommend this grocery. Excellent quality with all of our favorite products and reasonable prices.
The store was very organized and clean, price are very reasonable and the employees were very polite and helpful.
Good and organized indian grocery store.
This is the best store in Houston. The rates are reasonable and the service is really awesome. You get the most of the desi products. The snacks section is really good. You get so many varieties of the snacks. The good thing is that the snacks are fresh. You also get the homemade food items as well.
Full size Indian grocery store. Good neat and clean collection.
The have an assortment of everything you need, besides produce and frozen products. Staff is always helpful and nice.
Good quality indian vegetables and groceries . Fairly priced.
Very nice Indian grocery store. They have everything that is needed for Indian cooking.
You get almost all indian groceries here, vegetables are fresh. Staff is very good.... specially Sachinbhai....👍
Nice Staff. Its been 7 years now and never had any problems. They always have fresh vegetables with reasonable price. I like their welcome service especially Sachin who is always eager to help.Good Luck.
Super friendly folks and great selection of products for a store of their size.
Good place for Indian groceries will find most of the things you need over here in stockStaff is well behaved and helpful
Best indian grocery store for shopping. I move new here and found this place for my daily need. I would like to share an incident which happened to me, I went to the store to buy some groceries and it was my 1st time I was not aware of things to be in which section, I call for a help the one tall young guy I guess his name is (Sachin) he finished billing of the customer and came to help me he was super friendly and Good salesman.I like the service of this store and helping nature of Sachin.
Big selection, helpful staff.
India 🇮🇳market placeThey have all kinds india food, I went for fresh vegetables that Heb or Kroger dont have.
Hospitable service.
Perfect place to get all of our local Indian grocery, and surprisingly they even have a lot of organic options that many Indian grocery stores dont. they even have a great variety of coffees and teas and other Indian snacks
Very Clean, fair prices, and fresh products! The store reps are very friendly!
Love to visit Vishal Grocery store since its near by my house. The prices are always reasonable and good to see Jateen and Sachin creating enjoyable experience. The only drawback is the space which needs to expand.Good Luck
Best place to buy Indian grocery. Veggies are fresh and staff is really helpful.
Clean and well organized store. Good to see Sanjay bhai and Sachin working hard. Prices are pretty much reasonable compare to other stores. They really need to expand so that we can get more items.
During COVID time, they have good precautions standard. But be mindful that store is small with narrow aisles.. you would need to wait a long time to get enough safe distance for shopping here.
Place is nice, well maintained and contains wide variety of Indian foods but prices are on bit higher side as compared to other Indian grocery stores I have been to. The timings of store is also very small. They open from 10-6, so I can go only on weekends. Hope they can improve that.
Since we live in Energy corridor area, this grocery store has been our favorite desi store due to price, quality and convenience perspective. The manager is pretty humbleand helpful. How I started liking this place? Well, we always used to buy sweets and Indian groceries from several stores in Hillcroft only, but one day we were getting super late to go visit one of our cousins and she wanted me to bring specific Habsi Halwa for her. I swear i was really late to go all the way to hillcroft to go find that sweet. This was the only indian store closest to my house, went there and to the most surprising thing to my senses, this store had Habsi Halwa in cheaper than in Bombay sweets and way tastier. Thry had almost everything that a desi store had, and everything was so reasonable price. Ever since, i started going to this place for my desi stuffs
Clean and well organized store. Great variety of products and very reasonable prices. Excellent customer service. Must try tea, coffee, samosas, vegetable puffs. Dont forget to try their wide range of Icecream and kulin.
EXPIRED FOOD ITEMS... this happened with me 4th time.. I bought sweet laddu packet yesterday which was expired in March 2020 also couple of weeks before i bought Chavanprash which was also expired. Requesting customers to buy product by seeing expiry date. Vishala team should check product validity before made it available to customers.
Best indian and pakisthani grocery store I the Houston.Very fresh & exotic veggies all the time with very very reasonable prices.Really good customer service. Helped a lot during COVID time!
Good store
Best placeYou call it small India where u can find anything
The best grocery store in Houston
You name it, they have it.. get everything from spices, dals, grocery, biscuits, ready to eat, frozen items etc etc
All Indian spices, veggies and snacks available, staffs are nice and friendly.
Excellent Service! ...and there is so much help and assistance around if you have any questions or can’t find an item. *And of interest to some, if you have any cooking questions, feel free to ask anyone behind the counter. I have learned to cook a few things from Vishala. That checkout counter is something else, unless there is a huge sale with people all showing up at the same time, there is absolutely no waiting in line. The max time I have waited was like 1-2 minutes at peak time on a Saturday. If you’re in a hurry, this is the place for the best “in and out” shopping experience. If you are looking for something eclectic, something special, this is the place too, I promise you’ll find it and more. It is always freshly mopped and very clean. Vishala offers a wonderful selection of fresh Indian vegetables, spices and pantry staples. Also, they have a highly recommended frozen section with plenty of options and their frozen products are not frozen and re-frozen, to me that’s a deal breaker. Oh yeah one more thing they do not try to sell you expired products. Vishala is a fun store! It’s a grocery store and a whole lot more! Come have a look, you’re going to love it!
You get most of the indian food you need here. Sachin is an awesome dude who helps out well.
A good place to buy Indian food/grocery. This shop has all the spices, rice and Indian snacks etc. The staff is also very helpful. But better if the store has more fresh vegetables. The store is neat and clean but sometimes there are food items on the isles in the store. Other than that one of the best places to buy Indian food
My favorite store to shop for fresh vegetables and desi food, great low prices on most products. Very neat and clean, great customer service, curbside delivery is awesome!
Not a big fan of small Indian stores as their prices are always high and you will see too many expired or old items. This place is very similar but they have at least organized it properly. Hard to find the prices for many items. They carry fresh veggies and snacks.
Clean, well stocked, friendly staff. Always come here for paneer, spices, and basmati. Very helpful in general: asked front desk if they had curry tree saplings once, and they brought a tray of them the next day.
I love how the store is organized, the only thing dont like it personally that you to buy a bag to keep in the food. Other than that its a thumbs up
We shop almost every other day for small and big list. Staff is courteous and helpful and overall the prices are competitive compared to other similar stores in Houston and Hilcroft areas. While shopping always double check on the expiry and best before dates as I have found few times some items which are sitting in the shelves unnoticed and return them after buying them. This is where they need serious attention to ensure items are fresh.
Nice Custmercare...
One of the best Indian groceries stores. They always have fresh vegetables. Will find everything you want.
Love this Grocery store. Best one in the area. Loads of options and anything you desire to eat is available there. The staff is also very helpful and approachable - great customer service.
Almost go there every day. Owner is really cool and friendly and employees are always eager to help me. Store is clean and you can find all the Indian groceries from overseas there.
The counters are not adequate as the shop gets fresh vegetables only few days a week including sunday evening and there is a big queue to get the billing done. The prices are bit pricey at times and some of the food items do not have expiry tag
Very convenient location. You can pretty much get all the grocery items here whether its for a special occasion/festival such as Holi or Diwali or for everyday use. However, there have been couple of occasions when i had to bring few items back because they were expired or were not fresh and i was offered refund every time without any questions.
An unique shopping experience here. I would suggest being familiar with some of the cuisine before shopping here since not all items are easily recognizable in packages and not everything is in English. They have a wide variety of dry and canned goods which was fun to look through and shop and made ready made meals in their fridge section. I walked away with some box meals of creamed spinach and curries and some very sweet Petit fours like desserts from fridge section.
I recently began cooking Indian food and wanted to get a couple of different Indian pickles to try with my homemade Dal so I went to Vishala Grocery one afternoon. It is tucked away in a shopping center with plenty of parking. The store has a large variety of merchandise and is VERY clean and organized with no smell. The prices and variety were excellent! Last of all, the men working the cash register were very welcoming and polite which made me feel better given that I am not Indian and was clearly unfamiliar with their products.I bougt garlic pickle, sweet mango pickle and lime pickle as well as a big bag of dried red lentils. Im excited to try everything and will definitely be returning to Vishala Grocery.
Its an Indian grocery store
Very nice Indian grocery store reasonable price excellent service must try veg puff and kachori. I love this place.
Great price point & great service!
Very good....
Indian Vegetables, spices and even snacks, one stop shop for every Indian !. Vishala is the store that one gets to visit every week for fresh Vegetables, they dont just ensure quality products but also dont overprice them. The customer service is excellent, you end up becoming friends with the people working at the store !. I would strongly recommend Vishala to anyone wanting to shop for anything Indian !.
The place is good for Indian Grocery and spices. Wish selection would have been more.
Amazing place with lots of options. Fresh vegetables and have lots of variety in snacks and frozen foods. Highly recommend it!!
We stopped at this little market today because I though the little boba shop was open next door when it wasnt. But Im still glad we got to check this place out! Very cool and cute little market, Ive never really had Indian food before and I have been wanting to but I had no clue what to buy or where to start so my son and I just stuck to grabbing a few sweet snacks. Grabbed some coconut biscuits and theyre so good and they were 2 for $1 for the little packs! 😊
Great service very courteous people. They stock everything you need for your Indian cooking from fresh vegetables to all the spices.
I will give 5 star certainly. excellent customer service and extremely polite, all the employees. They take time to go check inside to see if any item we are looking for is available or not.
They have fresh vegetables and decent stock on other items. My go to store for fresh veggies, look for the fresh stock close to the freezer at the back. They also have fresh sweets one or two varieties.
Great customer service, very nice and clean store. Most competitive pricing in Houston area. I loved the atmosphere.
Good store with helpful people, I strongly recommend this place for grocery shopping and for delicious snacks.
Great place to get good quality Indian grocery. Very friendly folks, they even go and get the stuff from the shelves if you can’t find it yourself.
Authentic Indian (Hindu traditional) store franchise. Staff was helpful finding items. Clean environment. Decent neighborhood. Broad selection of desi items. Im not sure they have halal items.
Many frozen stuff don’t have expiry date printed on them. Especially sweets. And they don’t return frozen stuff after 2 days.
Lots of teas and naan to choose from. Are you doing anything similar to in-store pickup?
One of the best indian grocery store in town you get fresh vegetables and all kinds of groceries and prices is also every reasonable, must visit and ask for samosa, veg puff, kachori etc.
Good Indian grocery store. You will get almost everything that you are looking for. Veggies are good and fresh most of the time. Most of all do not sell expired products unlike manystores. Our go to desi store.
Sells most of the indian groceries. Wide selection range for household needs. Definitely needs more space. Maybe in coming years theyll expand.
Very neat place to buy Indian groceries at a nominal price. They get fresh stock of vegetables on Wednesdays and Saturdays. All household Indian stuff are available here.
This shop has a great selection of Indian vegetables, spices and pantry staples. The owner is super helpful if you cant find something.
Packaged products like haldiram farsan was not fresh at all.. it didn not taste good..
We shopped here to stock up for Ramadan, and the special sale the store is having right now was really convenient for the amount we were getting. This store not only has everything, but their staff is super friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend!
Checkout service sucked big time. Their system hanged in the middle and that leads to a wait time of more than 30 min. Though this store is close to house but will never visit for sure.
I went into the store for the first time. Upon entering I was greeted well. I went in to get some Amla powder and Brahmi powder as well for my hair. However when I went to pay, I was the next in line and the cashier,( a lady) who just got done with the customer I was behind asked me to go to the next till which still had a customer being attended to. The cashier who asked me to do so took the customer behind me. Let me paint the picture a little clearer. The customer behind me was Indian as was the cashier. I, However am a black woman. I wont tolerate even the hint of prejudice. I got out of the line and put back the merchandise on the shelf. Needles to say. I will never go back in there.
Good services, good products, always fresh vegetables. Good staff.
People was very nice and Iam just not saying that and Iam a America also every time I need it something they always had it 🤩👌👏
One of the Best place for Indian Groceries. Wide range of excellent products at very reasonable price, great customer service, neat, clean and organized. Must try tea, coffee, samosas, puff, dabeli, vada pav, kachori and other fresh nastas. Always make it a point to stop by when I come from Austin and visit store and I grab my monthly Grocery.
Very neat and clean store. Spacious and well lit. Reasonably priced fresh groceries.
It was a pleasure to visit Vishala grocery 3And with wide variety of food, vegetables and other items that is required for general needs . I recommend that each and every should visit this grocery for a pleasingly experience. Wishing Sanajaybhai his team a very bright future .regards shishir Mehta Mumbai India.
Nearby Indian store for groceries.OK for emergency.
Best place for Indian grocery. They have it all. Like there samosa and other home made snacks
A good Indian goods store.* Limited grocer options - but fresh goods* Stay away from coconuts or get it broken from there. Most if not all has been bad* They got some fresh snacks mostly Gujurati
One stop shopping center for all Indian groceries
Good place to get all your favourite indian grocery items
What you expect from a small Indian store. The clerks are available to help. They have cooked food available every week to carry out.
