Great service ! Love the area and the food was delicious 🤤 Cheap on the go food is always the key when you have a 1 hour lunch break.The gentleman there are so kind and have good customer service. While visiting Understory, decided to give this place a shot. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Love the concept of customizing your own pasta bowls! Food was great! Would recommend!

Was excited to try a new pasta spot for lunch...highly disappointed. The taste was very off for me & ended up making me sick.

The food here is good... Quickly made right in front of u and the portions r good so the price is reasonable. Its in the tunnel so dont get lost searching for it. Also they have fresh basil to cut into ur food.

Yesterday was my first time at Mona Fresh Italian in the Understory. I had skipped breakfast that morning so by lunch I was pretty hungry and was looking for something quick, fresh, and filling. Mona did not disappoint! I ordered their signature Mona pasta which included kale, dried cranberries, feta cheese, pumpkin seeds, and Alfredo sauce.It. was. amazing. I devoured all of it, along with the whole cup of House infusion tea. The staff were friendly and walked me through the process of the menu and gave me suggestions on their favorite. I will most definitely be returning!

Kevin who works here is awesome. Love the food and a great little alternative to the big chains downtown.

I tried this place for the first time as I have not really found any good pasta place downtown. I enjoyed the mushroom pasta with fresh ingredients (mushroom is not from a can hurray). The truffle sauce was a bit too much but otherwise very delicious. You can put together your own bowl too if you fancy.If you go around 12 be prepared to wait. No surprise.

Pretty quick, noodles were over cooked, but everything else was good. Not a place I would go often.

Food was super fresh. They cook the food right in front of you which is pretty cool. The food was tasteful and the portions were good.

My friends and I saw this place featured on a Tik Tok and decided to give it a try! The staff were friendly and helpful. We loved the concept of being able to make your own pasta bowl. The price is reasonable as well. I got the pesto sauce and it was not my favorite but I liked that I was able to add burrata on top, so yummy. I’d come back to try out some more of their different ingredients!

Good food. Be prepared to be up-charged on everything! They charged me a dollar to drizzle my finished dish with oil!! They also do not give their guests tap water, you can have a bottled water or one of their teas for $3, or you can go without. The cashier actually told me they don’t have water down here yet, which is BS, you couldn’t get a food service license without water. Prepare to spend $10-$18 for your lunch, $21 with a drink.

Super fresh food. Great choices. Huge portions. Great price for how much food you get! Can def get two meals out of it or one huge meal. Got the build your own panini. Will be coming back!

Ive tried this about 4-5 times now. Although the convenience and the location are great - the food is really sub-par. I got the risotto chicken today -- cost me a total of 17$ with the lunch special, got stale chicken and bland yet very salty risotto :(.

When I got there the waiting line was not too bad, 5 people aprox.The people working there are fast and they take your order immediately.I got the paninni Rosso. It was spectacular. The crust was heavenly, toasted but not hard or dry.The combination of prosciutto and arugula plus the pesto sauce is my favorite.A great place to get great, quick food at a good price.

The pasta was over priced for what came with it. It should not be $30 for a pasta and alittle slice of lemon pie. The pasta was edible but the pie was what saved the experience from a 2 star to a 3 star.

They make their own pasta, have super fresh ingredients, and are reasonably priced. The location isnt fancy, but the value and quality are superb! You will not find better in Houston.
