It was my first time at Furniture City, Steve helped me and it was an excellent experience. The assistance and help by Steve was awesome, which made things easier and smoother to get through. Thank you Steve for being patient for showing the different options that u had for me. Price’s are cheep and very affordable was able to furnish my entire apartment with the affordable financing that they offer. It was a very friendly, helpful, and welcoming environment. Considering the Texas heat,, one would think they could have some cold A/c. KEVIN was the sales person. I bought a mattress on July 27, 2021. Told the man I dont like a firm mattress. I wanted something soft, plush. I like to feel like my bed is giving me a hug. I asked the thickness. He says 12. I get it home & its 9. The tag states firm. I feel like Im laying on the floor. When I got home with the mattress in the van, the decision was made that I wasnt going to keep it. Call Mattress City. They refuse to accept the return. This is just a couple of hours later! The mattress hasnt even been taken out of the vehicle! Man says its a COVID regulation. Big Lots is in the same area. Call them & they have no problem for a return given my situation. A huge chain like Big Lots, Im sure, is up to speed with regulations. Hhmmm can you say rip off? I called the finance company. They call the merchant. He still wont accept the return; meanwhile daughter is driving around with mattress in her vehicle. Im still waiting for resolution. Im an extremely dissatisfied customer. This company doesnt care about anything but making a buck. My advice is to stay from Mattress City in Humble, TX. Thieving, crooked jerk. Im disabled living on a fixed income. What goes around comes around. This fool would probably do the same to his own Mama, laughing as he makes his bank deposit.

My husband and I went on Friday to buy a mattress. We looked around and after a little “test driving”, selected a Sealy icomfort mattress with a pillow top. We paid $1717.00 for mattress set and delivery that was scheduled for Tuesday. The salesman claimed that if we looked up that mattress, we would find that the mattress was actually worth $4000. When we got home I looked at the purchase invoice and realized that the description was very vague, it literally said icomfort and that was it (if you search icomfort mattresses there a many different models). Upon delivery, I made sure to check that they brought the correct mattress, and sure enough, the mattress they delivered was not the mattress that was chosen. We loaded the mattress in our truck and took it back to the store. At first they refused to give our money back because they said that the mattress was the same one that we agreed to purchase but it wasn’t. The one we agreed to purchase had a pillow top, the one delivered did not. The mattress that was delivered was a Sealy icomfort Blue fusion 200 (an $800 mattress). After much deliberation they finally agreed to give our money back minus a 30% “restocking fee”. We still were not happy with it but if it cost us $500 to not have to do business with these people again, it is worth it. Moral of the story.....don’t buy from this company. They are thieves and crooks. They will cheat you every chance they get. RUN PEOPLE, RUN!!!!
