Couldnt get time of day to be shown an expedition. I believe his words well you cant want an expedition all you want to my wife before walking away. When asked for the cash in hand price of the car we did test drive was told it was the sticker price once we chose to leave I told my daughter we could try cable Dahmer because they will come off the price, the salesman felt the need to interject asking when we were there last after I told him a few weeks ago and how they earned our business he stated we got a hell of a deal. Very classy. Never assume a customer cant afford something, we couldve paid cash for both.

I didnt deal with them personally followed someone there to have their vehicle looked at. Im not a Ford kind of girl. Never have been never will be. They are way over priced on their prices. Plus their customer service is awful. Havent met anyone yet whose owned a Ford and not had major issues with their vehicles. Or tons of recalls. Ill stick with my Chevy. Cant speak for everyone but in our case it seemed as if since we were women they could try to take advantage of my friend. I grew up working on vehicles with my grandpa plus worked on my own vehicles. What they wanted to charge to fix the vehicle was ridiculous.

I had a code for my key fob that the battery in the fob was low. I went to the parts counter and the sales clerk changed out my fob battery. I didn’t get his name, he was very kind and thorough. He answered a couple of questions that I had! Thanks for making my experience a very pleasant one.

BUSINESS OWNERS BEWARE - We were quoted a little over $800 for some sensor replacement on our vehicle, we agreed. The next day they called to say the truck was ready for pick up... I asked the final ticket price and was told $1,085 (ish). When our business manager went to pick up the vehicle, they were charged over $1200... It wasnt until we were back in the office discussing it we realized how things transpired. We did call them and questioned why we were charged so much and was told they would credit the overcharge back and that it was a mistake... But if we hadnt been on top of our communication, this would have easily been missed. This should NEVER be an issue FORD!!!
I made a 7:30 appointment for an oil change and tire rotation. I arrived at about 7:20They took my information promptly and took my truck to the service area at 7:38. At 9:38 I went to the service desk to ask about my truck, the man at the service desk informed me that they had a lot of appointments and they were behind. I ask him what was the point in making an appointment if my vehicle was going to be pushed back anyway. 2 hours for an oil change is outrageous. He said he would remove the shop charges (which is an amount unknown to me) and he hoped this would not reflect on who I choose to do my next oil change. REALLY, I sit for 2 hours and you dont think it will reflect who I choose to do my next oil change??? Im new to the city and wanted to continue to use a Ford shop to service my truck, it has always been serviced by Ford and will always be serviced by Ford, just NOT Metro Ford.

Weve been looking for a good used vehicle for a couple of weeks. We had gone to several dealers advertising vehicles only to find out that the vehicle we were interested in was no longer available (even though it was still on their website), or the sales rep we were working with was not very knowledgeable and/or wasnt overly interested, or being made to make an appointment just to see the car we were interested in. Late Saturday afternoon after leaving yet another disappointing visit to a dealer my wife found a vehicle at Metro Ford that checked off all of our boxes relative to what we were looking for. She called the dealership and talked to Craig to make sure the vehicle was still there. Craig asked if we could give him a few minutes to check with all of the Sales Managers to make sure it was still available and hed call us back. He did call back shortly with the good news that it was indeed available. Even though they were going to close in about an hour and we were at least a half an hour away, we asked if we could come by and look at the car and Craig said sure. When we arrived, he had the car pulled around ready for us to look at. He treated us exactly like we wanted to be treated in that he wasnt pushy and offered us a lot of great information about the car. He was very personable and made us feel at ease. We test drove the car and even though it was dark and we couldnt see the car as well as we might have during daylight hours, we could see enough and loved the ride so moved forward with the purchase. Craig made the paperwork easy, and we also talked with both John (Aftermarket Manager) and Paul (Finance Manager) to complete the details of our agreement. All three worked together cohesively and are just good guys. For us, certainly feeling like were getting a good value proposition is important, but feeling valued as a customer is extremely important as well and this team made us feel values. Even though the dealership is across town for us, I would strongly recommend Metro Ford to anyone looking to deal with a quality group of individuals who know how to treat a customer. Its worth the drive. Oh, and we love our Ford Explorer!

My review is solely on the service department & based on more than 1 encounter. First & foremost the lady at the cashiers window appears to be incredibly unhappy not friendly whatsoever! Reading other reviews it seems I’m not the only one that has noticed &/or encountered this so a little suggestion to the lead of that department please address this! Secondly, the quotes that we have been given have been far less than the actual total charged but, they are nice enough to give you petty excuses 🙄 only after we’ve asked why so much.

It is a car dealership, nothing more nothing less. Like most car dealerships the salesmen are like vultures waiting to pounce as soon as you enter the lot. Sometimes people just want to look at cars without being hounded. One of the salesmen was very nice and helpful without being pushy. The other two were vultures
The service department is awesome! Hats off to Riley for taking care of me in a short amount of time. Unfortunately, the cashiers need additional training in customer service and further training in how to be polite when interacting with customers of all backgrounds.

At first it wasnt the greatest experience. Dropped my car off at 7 am on Thursday. Said it would be done in a couple hours. Still wasnt done at 3:30 pm that afternoon. So the next day they came to my work and picked up my vehicle and brought it back to me no charge for the oil change and free gas!! Larry made it right with me and I am very happy with their service.

Had an afternoon appointment for a routine oil change on my 2016 Ford Fusion. Went home and left my phone out of earshot, causing me to miss the call when the car was ready to pick up. I realized my error just at closing time. Arrived at Metro Ford about 10 minutes after closing, but the Service Department staff that was still there went out of their way to get me checked out and on my way!
This was the first time as an adult i purchased a car on my own! They made the process very smooth and in a timely manner. I didnt feel intimidated or rushed to make decisions. Staff was very caring and knowlegable! Plus i LOVE my Ford Fusion!

Metro Ford representatives are extremely polite, however -------------------I waited 6 weeks for a gasket to repair a transmission leak for my 2020 Explorer that is less than a year old. When the part arrived I made an appointment for the repair for 9:00 AM. They believed it would only take a few hours but since they had no experience on this repair they asked me to leave the vehicle for the day. They called that afternoon and said they were just getting started on it so needed to keep it until the next day. Finally picked it up and the transmission isnt leaking.I live 30 miles away so my wife had to make two trips with her vehicle to pick me up and then deliver me. They offered a courtesy vehicle only when they called to postpone my picking up the vehicle.

Takes 2 hours for a simple 20 min oil change. Why schedule and appointment if they don’t start it until an hour after the fact.
I went in for an oil change and got my filters changed on my hybrid. When I got my car back the fan for my ac now makes a noise. When I brought it back around to show them. They said they didnt have the technician there that could work on AC. They said it was going to cost me more money to get that fixed

I wouldnt even give them a half of star! I bought a car in March and the next day the brakes were squeaking like they need fixed! Mind you not even 12hrs after buying car. After going to Ford INDEPENDENCE where I bought it three times they told me it was a defective brakes system and Ford has stopped selling the ecosport! I was supposed to get a $5,500 rebate from my job never seen it on the finance loan. The car starting price was $25,000. After the rebate and etc $900 included for clear coat protection the car was well over $28,000. I went today for oil change and to speak with someone about the paint issue because you know I thought I was protected WRONG they told me it was from a rock chip!! I promise it was not and it started off as a dot of paint missing now its in many spots. I explained to him how Ive had a van for three years and no issues with chipped paint and a mit galant 9yrs no paint chips! But Ive had this car less then a year and have them all over the hood! Do not buy from METRO OF INDEPENDENCE! TAKE A LAWYER IF YOU DO SO THEY WONT RIP YOU OFF! SCAMS

Although the check we were expecting to pay our sales tax, licensing etc. has not been given to us yet (We signed papers about 10 days ago) everything else has been good. Everyone was so kind and helpful and answered all of our questions. The only glitch is the check. Hopefully we will get it soon.

I have been a customer of Metro Ford for over five years. During that time Ive purchased two vehicles from this location and visit regularly for vehicle maintenance. Recently (Saturday morning) I was met with less than par service. I had questions regarding pricing and the service admin that assisted me was curt and unwilling to assist with my inquiry. I escalated my concerns to the loan manager that assisted with the purchase of my last car. The manager advised me the person was new. Being new is not a segway for poor customer service and lack of manners. Until management can learn to act on the feedback given nothing will improve. I will not spend another dime at this location. I wouldn’t take my lawn mower here.
Had a 10:00 am appointment for an oil change, 11:45 finished. Have a recall on the steering assembly, have to go back next week to get repair.

Liked the dealer, but horrible product.My son decided to purchase a new Ford Ranger. A great looking truck. He paid over 42k for it, but had problems almost immediately. A loud whining sound resulted in a brand new transmission. A bad burning smell made the truck not drivable, so a blower motor was replaced (2nd one-one was already replaced before he bought it). Picked it up and still a bad smell. Took it back and a deodorizer was added. Finally got it again and still a burning smell. The service manager was out of ideas, so Ford was contacted regarding a buyback. You guessed it-request refused. So we are forced to sell the new truck with few miles on it, most coming from driving to and from the dealership. His loss: $9000.00 plus the cost of a bed liner and cover. We have been a Ford family since I bought my 1984 Escort. 14 Fords later, we are disappointed in this truck and will have to consider other brands when all of us buy our next vehicle. Sad.
(BAD SERVICE DEPARTMENT) I took my car because my check engine light was on. They diagnosed my car with one thing they said it wasnt under warranty. I went home called warranty department they said it was under warranty and we got an appointment scheduled. Within 24 hours they called my husband and said that they misdiagnosed my car and it was something else and that wouldnt be under warranty either. I toke it to a different dealership. Paid for another diagnosis and neither one of the problems came up that Metro Ford said. Got my car fixed at the different dealer no problems since.

My buying experience at Metro Ford was very satisfying. Stephen was super genuine in helping me find the car that best fit my needs. This was a much better experience than I had at another dealership in the area and ultimately was a deciding factor in my purchase there. Plus, I’m very excited about my new car!
My son was stranded on the I70. The front right tire exploded and did $4000 damage to the car. The parts department bent over backwards to get my son on the road for his 1800 mile trip from Alabama to Utah. They did not have the headlamp in stock but went above and beyond and get the part from another Ford dealer in less than an hour. The gentleman that finalized the sale volunteered to drive the part to the tire shop where the car was to complete the emergency repairs at closing time. Great job!
More of a bad sales person review. So I called, and explained I was interested in a truck that they had priced for $71k. Told them I would like to make a deal that day. So a sales person named “Micheal” called me, (Immediately as a customer I felt as if I had no chance making a deal with this dealership because of this sales person), and we talked a little told him I was at a $65k price range, they came down a little on price. I said I was still around $65k. He said he was going to see what he could do and call me back, he never called me back, and then when I posted a review he gave me a petty call regarding the review post. Ive bought a lot of vehicles in my life but, this was one of the worst sales experiences I’ve ever had.

Had an engine replaced last year and it took 1 month to get my car back with me footing the rental bill. Recently had my key fob warrantied and was not given a call when I was told it is done. Needed my car by a specific time and was told no problem. I had to go to the dealership on my lunch break to ask about my car and had to wait another 15 minutes to get it. Im not a dummy and know the fob was not programmed when I showed up cause I saw the advisor I was dealing with ask a tech to program it. Will not be taking my Lincoln to Metro again.
I don’t usually write reviews, but I had a horrible experience with Metro Ford these past couple of days. I dropped my car off on Thursday because it was having problems starting. I can turn the key, but nothing happens. It usually takes me a few tries before my car starts up. The car didn’t start doing this, until I had new brake pads put in a few weeks ago. Ford kept it overnight because the problem was not happening with them. This afternoon, they told me I could come and pick it up, because it was starting up fine and not having any issues. My dad and I were hesitant to take it back home, even asking questions before we left, but we did. Fast forward to that night, my car is in my driveway, and not starting at all. Now I don’t have a car for Fourth of July weekend. I’m wondering if they just checked it once and then left it in the parking lot for 2 days.

Were having terrible problems with our 2017 Ford Escape 1.5L ecoboost engine. After several failed attempts at getting help at Chuck Anderson in Excelsior Springs, we made the trip today to Metro Ford. Steve Wolf has been amazing and was very kind and understanding to our frustrations. Praying this will be the fix and we will be getting a new car soon through them. I highly recommend this dealership not only in service, but in the kindness and honesty weve always received from the salespeople.**Update-Sean in the service department has been amazing! Really listened and cared. I felt heard the first time in this entire process. We decided to trade our Escape in and Michael in sales went above and beyond to get us in a new 2020 Edge. My father purchased a key fob on the internet for my birthday, because I didn’t have a spare key for my car. It was supposed to be compatible with my vehicle. Rather than testing the compatibility first, or even advising me that it might not be compatible, Metro Ford supposedly programmed the key fob to my car, and charged me the full price of $90 for programming it, before informing me that it would not work with my vehicle. Since it does not work with my vehicle, there is no way to know if they actually even spent the time to try to program it. For all I know, they just charged me the the $90 for nothing. I feel like I should have at least been given some sort of disclaimer or discounted price. I will not return to this dealership for service.
I have an issue with my Ford Flex that just came out as a safety recall, 2 months after my disappointing experience with Metro Ford. Just before COVID, I brought my Flex in and gave a very detailed explanation of what was wrong. I had other repairs, like getting new tires, and that was fine. When you drive my car, it bucks back and forth and its obvious. Its NOT an intermittent issue. The salesman told me a sensor was bad and it would stop the bucking. I paid $1,300 to fix the sensor, and my car was bucking EXACTLY like before. I called from my car and asked if they had actually DRIVEN my car. The salesman LIED TO ME and told me yes, they drive it, and they had fixed my issue. I told him it was obvious no one had driven my car over 20 mph, and he said I could bring it back for MORE money. They are liars and cheats and they stole my money. Do NOT go there thinking you can trust them.
