Any visit to Independence for me includes a trip to Mardel. I mean to keep it quick but I really love the store and spend a lot of time there. Im grateful for the homeschool discount on books taken off of the sticker price at the register.I love their art, coffee cups, journals, Bibles, clothes, etc. There is something for every Christian!

Well.... I just spent about $350 in this store... That should tell you something. First time Ive been there. Ill definitely be back. Wonderful staff. Wide variety of products. Also, i would like to add that my cashier Courtney R. deserves a nod for employee of the month, professional, super friendly, and courteous, even able to keep me in a positive mindset, when i was getting irritable. Shes an MVP. Give that lady a raise. Youll know her by her smile.

The kids bibles are on sale, it is really cute and pink (NIV) and they engrave for $5 not bad... The staff is very helpful and super nice, stay that way🥰

Ive never had a negative experience here. Helpful and friendly employees! Discounts on curriculum daily. Coupon available online. Good sales on DVDs and cds. I could spend forever browsing their items! Great place to visit for decor, Christian gifts, educational materials and more!

Such a great selection of various Christian novelties, books, jewelry and many other items! Recently, I purchased a few books on sale for less than $5 each! Great reads and very inspirational. I enjoy going to this store and wish there were more locations specifically in the Northland of KC so I could allot more time to browse. Its a very long drive for me.

Im not sure why places like this are difficult for me. I always have trouble getting help for what Im looking for because I have trouble finding help. They are there...too busy and not overly willing to be of service...it seems, thus discouraging me from asking for help. So, I browse around until I happen upon what Im looking for.

I found two great gifts for my son that will spark an interest in spiritual matters: A solar system model making kit that glows in the dark, and a galaxy projection kit. They both point to Gods great handiwork!

Helpful, no longer do Bible binding!??? So if any one else knows where or maybe how I can do it my self. Its an old paper back..... Trying to salvage it... Also did not carry movie needed nor the daily Christian book? Its our only Christian store anymore...

As a Christian this is a go to store for many things; bibles, teaching and learning tools. Also neat nic nacs and dont forget music!

Mardel has great prices on best seller books and excellent customer service. I love this place. They will engrave books or bibles right there for a small fee. They often have specials that are free.

Amazing experience. We walked in and immediately greeted by staff. Another staff member asked if we needed help locating what we came for. She perfectly directed us. Later we had a question. Nearby there was a staff member. When we sought her out she was friendly and helpful.

I was very disappointed today. I went into our local Mardels looking for some nice mask. What I found were $10 mask made in China. So sorry to see a Christian book store not supporting American made products.

Visited on Black Friday, very helpful and prepared staff. Things seemed well kept and safe amidst the pandemic. Found some good deals on Christmas gifts for family and friends.

Arguably the best Christian bookstore though the Pastoral selection is quite small.

Came from Oregon and visited to buy a new Bible. Staff was super helpful and knowledgeable. Got an amazing book and they spent my name right on engraved.

Wonderful selection and decent (though slightly high) prices. Cashier forgot to give me my change but when I realized it and called they took measures to verify through a drawer count. When it was over by my missing change amount they were quick to take steps to get my cash to me.

Ive always loved Mardel. I usually go to the Overland Park location, but I stopped by this one about a week ago since I was in the area. Surprisingly, the cashier wasnt very friendly at all. I assume he was having a bad day--or my full basket overwhelmed him. Ill still be returning

The cashier was rude and abrupt. He even slammed the register just because I wanted to use my 30% off coupon. He should not be working with the public!

Very nice staff. I took a piece of my late fathers belt. It was cut into small pieces for me and my siblings. Wanted his name engraved. The staff were all nervous that they would mess it up knowing that it was the only piece I had. Was so happy that they managed to do it. Also I browsed the store while I waited. Loved how well organized everything is. Will be going back.

This is a large store with a wide variety of religious books, apparel, decor, and educational material. They have a nice book section as well. It is a comfortable atmosphere and friendly staff.

As a teacher I have to make my annual trip to Mardel to get classroom consumables. I always find several cute clothing items as well. Love the inspirational section- even my teens find things they want!

Ive been to several Mardels with very different layouts. Maybe Ive just never noticed this before, but I love that this one had store layout papers as you walk in the door! It made it so easy to find what I was looking for as a traveler.

Mardels is primarily a Christian store. Its a great place to pick up home school supplies as well.

Christmas presents and they will put names on it for an extra charge. So much to look at. Plan on going back when l have the time to enjoy looking at the whole store.

Great Christian bookstore. They a wide variety of products that you would need for a church besides books. They have things such as offering plates, communion supplies and a ton of other things as well. They also have a nice t-shirt section as well.

I enjoy shopping at Mardels, its very peaceful and calming. I really appreciate how the employees greet us at the door. They usually have what Im looking for or want when it comes to educational items and crafts. It can be a bit pricey for some items, but they always run a pretty good decent sale as well, which is a plus!
