I took two computers to Office depot store #212 I wanted both computers reset and updated to the latest windows. Well the Desk Top was a windows 7 computer and the lady advised not updating it to windows 10 or else it would crash. I agreed to update the computer to windows 8 as I have never had an issue and didnt want it to crash. About a week goes by and my computer is ready a different lady calls me and tells me it is done and now has windows 10 on it. I confronted her about what the other rep said she then called the guy that updated it and he said it would be fine and that it went on with no problem. Fast forward to two days ago and I no longer have a computer because it has crashed office depot is not willing to resolve there mess up there resolution is to 1. refund 119.99 upgrade charge or 2. Try and revert the computer back to the old windows. Now with that being said I would be more then happy to go with #2 BUT the gentleman (who I have never seen or talked to) is stating it will most likely crash again in a month or two. How is that a resolution? and the computer is worth more than 119.99. to anyone thinking about using office depot DONT save your time and money and go ANYWHERE else that cares about there customers and wont completely destroy your stuff. The lady had the audacity to tell the customer service rep that I was talking to that if she remembered right it wasnt working when I brought it in. It had worked fine prior to the update.

I just stopped in for a couple of small items. I have never received better service from a store of this type EVER! So friendly and helpful. They are kinda tucked away but worth the effort.

Store closed yesterday at 4pm. I showed up at 4:11pm to pickup my curbside order. Returned today at 2:30pm, to again attempt to pick up my order. Store closed today at 2pm or earlier? No notification of store hours being changed sent to my email. No one picks up the phone at the store. There were 3 of us waiting outside of the store this afternoon for curbside order pickups. I had to contact online customer support to get a refund. I will NEVER be shopping at Office Depot again.

I had bought an ergonomic keyboard sometime over a year ago at the downtown location. It worked well. In trying to replace it, it turned out that it was no longer manufactured. I bought a Logi-Tech one (also at a different location). This one turned out to be inaccurately described (Microsoft calls their comparable model comfort, no ergonomic:) and too shallow to be righty termed, ergonomic. I went to the website and it initially said that it was returnable. I called the downtown location who said that I could return it anywhere, including the service contract. I went to this location to return it and was directed to a qualification at the bottom of office depots return policy which said you could not return keyboards.They exchanged it for something else that was more expensive but worked out OK. I learned several days later that the employee in question had taken the service contract back from me but failed to refund (against the exchange). I called the store who said that I had to come in and that the would take care of it.Once I had taken the half hour or so to go there, they changed their minds and said that they werent going refund my money (after I had been told three times now that they would). Finally and only because I seemed so upset, the on-site manager agreed to finally give me my money back. She didnt admit that theyd misinformed me, had an unreasonable (and rather singular--most other firms have much more reasonable ones) return policy, and had sent me on a run around.At the end she only apologized for ever having accepted the misrepresented keyboard in the first place as if the only thing that they had dome wrong was to be reasonable and helpful to me-like, Im sorry for helping you-I wish we hadnt. This is their attitude towards customer service.God Willing, I will never go to an Office Depot / Office Max again-she convinced me in her constant reminders that this return would never happen again. I advise others do the same.I gave them one star for finally, out of the goodness of their infinitely charitable hearts, giving me the money for what they had taken from me.

Randomly stopped in to try to get some printing done and ended up getting personalized help for custom products. Great customer service. Its always hard to find someone working at places that can use common sense to correct a problem without making it my problem and they did that! Would go back again in the future. Prices on some things arent the best but it was nice to be able to randomly pick a place and get the job done right with good customer service and interaction all at closing time too!

Ive always gotten great help with my computers when I uses their services. Not sure their ability to be open or not during the Covid 19 times.

Team Awesome must work here at the Independence store. I buy office supplies frequently and have seen a few store managers come and go. But through the changes the staff is always friendly and helpful. While being a smaller store and not carrying all the other depots do, they can always point you in the right direction.I drive across town past other stores to come to this one.

Good deals to be found. Regular prices arent so great. Employees on the floor are helpful, but the ones behind the counter are slow and dont pay attention to you unless you holler at them.

Office Max is a better name. Kinda like Great Clips vs. Snip n Clip. One sounds corporate and the wording inspires you, the other sounds cheaper and lesser.This store also downsized a few years ago and feels more like a RadioShack when it used to seem like a Best Buy for offices.

This place is a disaster. Came here a long time ago and had a bunch of problems with the printing department. Told myself to avoid this location. Today was the same result. They are awful at what they do. Place was empty for a reason.

Very disappointed. Called to confirm the store could accommodate my FedEx return process. Was assured by two staff members over the phone that they could. Arrived at store where we were met with less than professional staff who were not able to figure out how process the return. Lack of customer service skills and unhelpful. One staff member told us to go to Kinkos and walked away.

Office Depot is my go to place especially if I need pens or highlighters. They have great parking. I can get in and out fast.

I just went into the store on Noland Rd and after asking 3 times for them to scan and copy documents, the female employee ignored my desire to have it done behind the counter and continued to set me up on a self serve copier. This is the worst customer service I have received at an Office Depot. I will continue going to Overland Park from here on.

Staff at this particular building are purposefully acting like they dont know what there talking about. Sad.

This is the best Office Depot Ive ever had the pleasure of going to! Mark, especially, was very professional and knew how to get things done, yet had a pleasantly approachable demeanor. He ran the extra mile to accomodate my wishes as a customer.

Compact store with a smaller selection than the usual larger office Depot. if what you need is common, I think that you would be fine. if you need something more specialized or specific, I would go to one of the larger Office Depot stores.

Prices were competitive with many impressive sales. Clean and well stocked. Friendly floor staff.

I’ve been there 2 nights in a row this week to drop packages off that we’re already paid postage. Both nights there was a lady working the same nights and have been extremely rude when dropping off. The first night was not as bad as the second but the second night I walked in and both her and the other worker seen me walk in the door, the other guy was helping someone at register and I walk to the postal counter with the scale and she didn’t acknowledge me there knowing I walked in, didn’t look at me until what looked like a manager stepped around her and looked at me. At that moment she said she would be with me in a moment at the same time the assumed manager asked if I had been helped. I asked her a question about shipping and she looked at me like I didn’t know what I was talking about and I then stated I didn’t know how much the package weighed she proceeds to move a paper off the scale and very rudely told me to put package on the scale and told me the weight. I thanked her even though she was very stale and rude to me. All of her actions my 8 year old saw and asked me why it happened and if she was ok. I really hope she doesn’t treat others like that because it took everything out of me not to say anything. The way it has made me feel is very disappointing not only for me but for my son that had to witness that. I will more than likely choose a different place to drop my packages off especially if this is to continue to happen.

Ive never been treated so rudely in my life as I was by a staff member of this store in the 71 years Ive been alive. I predict there will soon be a store closed sign on the door.

We came in with a print order about 40 min before close. The two employees were extremely helpfull. The provided us with our options, and got us a quote for less than half the price at Fed Ex. We had them do the pribt job, and they allowed us a few minutes to trim our order, even after close. We will be back thanks to these two.

Its pretty frustrating when you know more than the professionals in the Printing Service. Mind you, I have a Bachelors Degree Design & Development and a good few years of printing experience with a variety of companies. However, my computer is busted and wont be fixed until tomorrow. This was simple - I just needed a few sheets printed of my business cards because I ran out unexpectedly and needed a quick fix. Nothing fancy, just some prints on cardstock.I provided a PDF of the proper size, in CMYK, and included marks and bleeds for a full color, double-sided print. All it needed was to be set for multiple copies in one sheet and print. Thats it.After fumbling around for 10 minutes, the guy enlarges my prints to fit the full size of the 8.5x11 sheet and prints them... (This is why you do draft prints first, btw)This really made me question their qualifications... And stated that they were supposed to be business card sized. SO THAT WAS MY MISTAKE. The associate then calls over the one saying I want business cards printed and was told I had to order them which could take up to two weeks for the double sided prints, but tomorrow I could have the single sided prints.I just wanted my document printed the way I set up to be and impositioned. How was this so complicated to understand?Yes, theyre business cards. No, I dont want embossing, foiling, die cuts - I JUST wanted them printed as they were set....So, no. Never again.

I went in (Saturday, February 21, 2015 at approximately 4:45 pm) to purchase a few office supplies (paper, carbon paper, pc program, pens, etc) along with ordering some name tags for employees.After waiting my turn in line to purchase and order tags, I was told I had to wait for another register as it was the one to order and ring up name ID tags. I waited approximately 10 minutes and the clerk had 1/2 the order done when she said she needed to stop to let customers to purchase items. Other clerks came up and started to ring up customers but we were still put on hold. We waited and watched in amazement other getting service from everyone while we waited. I finally spoke up and said this was not right. I made sure I had eye contact with everyone there and even asked for the manager who looked at me and then continued with his sale....not even saying he would help me after he finished. I said that this was ridiculous and would not set foot in that store again. I would not recommend this store because of its service or lack of.
