Don’t know what the point of requiring staff to wear masks is if half of them either aren’t wearing masks or not wearing them properly
This place is fantastic! They have some great staff, I left my phone at the store by mistake but didnt realize it until after closing time. The manager on duty went above and beyond the call of duty to ensure my phone was located and safely in my hands. Overall a great place to get almost anything you need
Placed a click list order on Sunday for a Tuesday pick up. They called on Tuesday and said it wouldnt be ready until Wednesday. I just asked them to push it to Thursday between 5-6. Got a call at 4:15 that it would be closer to 6 or a little after. Showed up at 6:30 and was told after I was already there, that it wouldnt be ready until the next day. That is 5 full days after I placed the order.
Sadly another unhappy customer to add to this list. This store seems to have some type of admin issue. No other Kroger store seems to have issues having the things I need. It took this Kroger months just to re-stock the Soy Sauce I always buy.Im not sure who is writing orders here, but someone needs to take a look at it. This store never has many of the items we go here to get. The Walton and Florence Kroger seems fully stocked and capable. This Kroger is busy, but it is no excuse since the other stores I visit dont have this problem. It sucks I have to drive to another Kroger or even your competitors to get the things I need. All it will take is another grocery store to move into the area to make people see how bad this store is ran.Just walk down your aisles. The store seems empty half the time.
There seems to be something missing with this Kroger Marketplace versus the other locations I have been to in Amelia, Anderson and Newport. I went in on a Saturday afternoon and their fresh pizza by the slice sitting out looked like it had been made early that morning at best. It was completely dried up and cold and looked like it had not even been prepared well in the first place. Not very appealing so I went with some Sushi instead and it was good. The pizza was a disappointment especially after I had first seen the fresh delicious looking pizza at the Marketplace in Newport and when initially walking in to this location finally decided I wanted to try it. In addition, and I know Covid likely plays a role here, but they seem to have some stocking issues and are out of a lot of things consistently such as Worcestershire sauce or Lysol, those little things you run out of but they time and again never seem to have. Being the only Kroger for miles that is an inconvenience. Overall it is a large store and there is a lot of variety versus a small Kroger but if it were me I would get the hot and ready food under control, work on the layout (why is the milk in the home decor section?) and try and stock basic staples better.
Ordered online for pickup, had not been to this Kroger in months. Signs still take you the same place, lines and numbers are painted over, but nothing telling you to go anywhere else. So I waited for 20 minutes. Called and was told that it had moved. I was not the only one that followed those signs. Told him where it was. In the meantime, they put my order back.
Called and asked. She refused to give a name but this Kroger is also no longer requiring masks. With no way to determine if someone is vaccinated.
My preferred location when shopping in person. Their drive up pick up on weekends is hit or miss. An older lady with black hair seems very frantic and rude when we have encountered her for weekend pickup. The other staff have always been friendly.
I often come to this Kroger. They make miner mistakes all the time the are easy to overlook. Usually it’s not a big deal. I recently put in for a quick list and everything looked fine. I later noticed i didn’t receive an item. I looked and made sure it was on the receipt And it was. I called and the lady was rude when I told her the story. I then came to pick the item up and talked to the same lady. Was rude again and told me the would bring the item out when they get a chance. Kept me waiting for 35-40 min. Extremely unhappy.
The Cashier and Bagger were very nice!
Excellent customer service. Thanks to all the employees working hard to keep the shelves stocked, the check out lines moving quickly and the store clean.
Usually a pleasant experience. However, the click list employees with their carts clutter the isle ways causing “pile-ups.” (Only if it’s a busy time for regular shoppers). Also, not a very large selection of care products for men (I.e. deodorant, etc.). Other than that, great place!
When our family moved to the area we were sad to have to drive so far to a Kroger Marketplace, but have no fear the store has made it completely unnecessary. Three strikes. First, I was forced to play chicken with a ClickList employee who seemed to believe she had the unchallenged right of way. No apologies, not even a glance from her. Im sure whe was struggling to find the right item, or maybe not, my last clicklist was only partially completed. Strange because they have the ability to notify us that they wont be ready on time. So, I had to pick up my clicklist then go to the grocery store after figuring out what was missing. Then I gave the pharmacy a try. Laughable. It will be ready in 15 minutes, go back in 20 minutes and they said theyd have it the next day, came back the next day, no one knew what my husband was talking about. I go back a few days later and they said it had been put back on the shelf because no one came for it. What!!?? Today I called for 2 refills, I had to call because the website was down, fine. Women says yes, one has been filled and well fill the second. Husband goes to pick it up, they only have one, the other was put back because we didnt come get it. EXCUSE ME. I called this morning!!!! I understand that this is a crazy time, and Im sure theyre super busy, BUT you must slow down and think about what youre doing. I will no longer drive out of my way to this location, its just a waste of my time.
Kroger Marketplace is normally a great place to shop. I go at least once a week. I always get lunch meat, the young lady I got today must of had a bad day. Other than her attitude everything was great.
Moved to Independence 3 wks ago. Always a Kroger customer but no more! Bought well over $100.00 in groceries . When I got home I found a bug in the container of cashews that cost me $8.99.Also bought 2 place mats for island but color was wrong. Tried to return items but was told that with the Covid 19 i couldnt return them. Called manager and was told same. I asked her what Covid 219 had to do with bugs in food and I wasnt planning to eat the place mats. Told her to post signs saying buy at your own risk. No items can be returned. Company policy! What a bunch of bull. Will shop elsewhere in future. Beware. Buy at your own risk. No items refundable!!!
I love this Kroger. It is my local store. They constantly have good deals and I love their clearance section. There are actually two. There is always a staff member around to help out if you need them. The store is a bit big and the only problem Ive ever encountered is when the move isles and items around. Other than that, I love my Kroger!
It never seems to fail they are ALWAYS out of everything. They need to restock! Every time I go they are out of several things that I need. Ive done click list several times and they substitute my items. STOCK the store!!!! This shouldnt happen every single time! Even during the week...youd think that is the slow time but they are still out of things. Its just not one or two things, its several.
A kind woman bought my groceries for me when my wallet was missing. This is the second time Ive encountered really nice people at this store. Its a very nice store but the people who shop there are exceptional!
This Kroger mixes the organic brands with non organic, which I find makes it more difficult for me to find the brands I want. I frequently feel like I have to go on a scavenger hunt each time I visit. They carry some of the brands I love, but not all, so I still have to regularly go to other Kroger locations to complete my shopping needs.
Honestly, this Kroger has been wonderful since our move to independence. Even the teenagers who I know domt necessarily want to be working on a Friday night are so helpful and kind. To the woman who was so kind to us going through the checkout when my 1 year old was fussing, thank you. Giving her stickers was so sweet. And the boy who helped by grabbing my cart for me when I was finished at my car, you rock! Keep up the good work guys. People notice!
This is my favorite Kroger. The meat and seafood department is great. Golden that works in there is super friendly. She has helped me learn to cook all types of new things.
On the weekends the store is staffed almost entirely by high school students who just dont care. Theyre not usually super busy if you go early in the morning which I would recommend. I dont know how many deliveries they get per week, but my produce almost always goes bad within a few days of purchase. Potatoes shouldnt go green 2 days after buying them. Onions that are rotten in the middle, greens that go slimy, always within days of purchase. I would recommend going to a busier kroger if you want food that lasts long enough to eat it.
Tired of almost getting ran over by the Kroger employees filling orders. They are rude too walk right in front of you to get things and block isles. Ridiculous.
I love this store. Always clean and plenty of specials. My husband and I even go out of our way to go there. And with more stores around now open makes it a one stop place to shop and eat!
Whenever I do clicklist here they mess up everything.
One of the few Krogers that keeps itself clean. This place is always packed. Though they are quick to ring you up. What more can you ask for?
Great place
Close to home, good sales, like the store clerks. I really like the meat departments butcher shop clerks. Butcher shop might be a stretch because Kroger quit grinding their own ground beef, ground chuck, ground round and ground sirloin a while ago to save money - so the butcher shop is more of a repacking center instead of the true butcher shop feature originally designed. Go to Brooks Meats in Walton If you want locally sourced beef and store-made ground meat and sausages.Beware the chicken - it needs to be used within a few days of purchase, no matter what the expiration date is.
What can I say? Its a Krogers grocery store. Clean, well staffed, and friendly. This particular location can be very busy in the afternoons and on the weekends, but the lines move fast and you never feel very crowded. Stop in the seafood department and try some fresh tuna steaks.
Ive lived and worked around a number of Krogers and this is one of my favorites. The staff here are always super nice. The store is larger which means a very wide selection. Ive never had to wait at the fuel center. Its my go to shop even if it is out of my way (I commute past 3 others every day).
Descent store. Produce could definitely be more fresh. Buy a bag of potatoes, most likely half will be bad. Not just potatoes either.Could have a five star rating otherwise.
Always a great experience. As everywhere, you can run into a single employee that isnt helpful, but you cant escape that in *any* major grocery chain. Clean store, reasonable prices, abundance of supplies--even have a bank inside the store--and generally helpful employees.
Clean, well stocked, great selection & variety, with the nicest folks working there. It is always a joy to go there! And has legendary Christmas open houses too!
This is a good marketplace Kroger with a fairly good selection of organics, which is my primary purpose for shopping here. They organize everything together, instead of separating organics and while foods out from the rest, which I find a lot more convenient, so I dont have to go to an entirely different area to see the total selection of products of similar type. I do wish they had more allergy friendly products, but they are getting better with their meat department, so progress is being made. Still better than traveling north and paying the crazy prices of other specialty grocers.
Overall a great place to shop. Smaller produce section due to it being a Marketplace locstion, but still great produce to choose from. The bakery always smells delicious! Always a quick check-out!
Was not busy on this Saturday preholiday weekend as I expected. Well stocked, had great help in self checkout today. Love all the organics Kroger is getting, & quality clothing with great sales.
My hometown grocery store is Kroger Independence declaration drive. I use the pharmacy here and buy most of my gasoline here to because of the Kroger Fuel points.
So frustrating! Im still standing at the deli 25 minutes later. The girl that finally took my order took off some of the meat after I noticed it was over, but charged me for the over amount, then she gave me .48 when I asked for a third on the next item. I explained to her that I needed .33 and she laughed like that was crazy. So much went wrong that I dont feel like typing that much. The final kicker, the cashier goes to ring up my salami and it falls out of the bag. Ha! Forget it!
As usual went in to get sugar-free stuff and they didnt have it because apparently theyve never heard of diabetics. I would have given no stars but that doesnt seem to be an option. I see a lot of people on here saying this store is always well stocked. They must be getting paid to say that because that is a complete lie. Every time I go theyre out of at least one thing that I go there for, most of the time more. Theres a lot of times I go there and leave with nothing because they dont have a single thing that Im looking for. And no matter what theyre out of they will blame the vendors for it. Which is a complete lie also because other stores dont have that problem. The independence Krogers is a joke, not a store.
I want to start by saying I am not one to be easily impressed by Customer Service. My daughter and I went into Kroger the other night and she absolutely loves the mini carts for kids, however she was disappointed to find there were none inside by the doors. Elijah heard us talking about it, and instantly ran to the back of the parking lot and found a mini cart for her. It made my daughters night at the grocery store. Very sweet employee! I called the manager to compliment him as well, I want to make sure he is recognized for being great to the customers! Go Elijah!
They were so amazing. They waited while I fumbled to find an address I thought I had easy to access and then let me know all the rates so I could pick the price and time frame.
This store is always clean and the staff is always friendly! They have a great selection and the fruits and vegetables are always fresh.
During busy times (like today, weekend), Kroger employees with their carts shopping for pick up customers get in the way.Despite the larger store, too much stuff is crowding isles again too.Not enough checkout lanes staffed this weekend.Suggestion: since prices include employee payroll - give discount at register for those patrons who dont use Kroger employees for checkout and instead opt for self checkout. This is usually done, Ive noticed, when not enough checkout lanes are staffed or backed up.Also, Kroger could carry more varieties of a particular product. I find myself frequently having to go elsewhere for a variety of things.
Clean, easy and convenient. I love having a Marketplace so close to home. Workers are friendly. Unfortunately my last visit there, the cashier had to leave in the middle of checking me out (he was a minor and I guess there is a law that keeps him from working past a certain time) and another cashier took over but she was also running the remote for the self-checkouts and was very distracted and ended up forgetting to give me my receipt (UGH). Nobody was there to bag my items, so I bagged my own with a crying 2 month old in my other arm.... that was stressful.
Always a better experience at Kroger than at Walmart, especially checking out. Krogers main downfall is their pharmacy. Theyll continually give you the wrong prescription . Even stuff youve informed them your allergic to,its a miracle they havent killed someone yet! Use Cherokee drug shoppe, their a professional business with a personal touch.
I love Kroger!!! $160 got me all the essentials plus pet necessities!! And snacks!! Great deals very clean store and friendly staff!!
Was fine until I get to the check out. The cashier Renee got very because I didnt show her the rain check until the end of check out. If I would of known I would of. They ought to tell customers that when they hand them out!
I dont have any issues with the store itself. Its Starbucks that is getting a terrible review! I ordered 2 different drinks. One of them was a cappuccino, easy enough. Nope! They gave me black coffee with half The cup filled with whipped cream. The other was a latte with a few extras in it. They told me itd be a few minutes to make since I wanted 3 shots and extra whipped cream. Thats fine, totally worth the wait. It looks perfect like it should. I went to put a little sugar in it and the lid to the sugar fell off in my drink along with an entire jar of sugar! Im sure it was done by one of the girls aiming their phone at me laughing. I told the worker what happened and he literally asked if he needed to make me a new one! No, I love metal lids and a ton of sugar on top of something already sweet. So he made me another one which took the same amount of time as a gas station cappuccino. At that point I was in a hurry and thought nothing about how fast it was and that he didnt even give me another chance to use the sugar. I get home and take a drink just to find out its complete garbage! Straight mocha instead of white chocolate. No extra shots and no whipped cream!! I called and the store manager, James, was very nice and extremely helpful. I am able to come back when I want to get a full refund and the correct drinks.
This store is always organized and has everything in stock. I will be trying click list for the first time in a few weeks and I will let you guys know how it goes.
Kroger is our favorite place to shop for food. They do a great job adjusting their selection and are making a huge step to the future with click list. Keep going Kroger.
They always have what you need. Today it was beautiful pumpkins for an amazing price!
Very nice Kroger. Very clean, got great deals. Includes a jewelry store. Easy to access location.
Sandwich from the deli was great. Big clean store and very friendly employees. Good job Kroger!
Its close to home an the employs are always as helpful as possible.
I dont mind the wait for prescription pick up. They are usually very nice. Today I spoke with Lynn and she was very rude and frustrated when I was trying to understand what the cost was for medication. When I told her she was being rude when I asked her to reapeat what was covered and what I could get over the counter, her reply was cause I already told you .
Plenty of room to walk around an ice creams for help when you need it Pharmacy a little busy but thats to be expected on a Friday evening
A store that has the largest selection I have seen and the people are there to help a great place
I always enjoy shopping at my Kroger, everyone is nice, helpful and always take time to say hello and kiss the babies.
This is a very nice, clean store with a great selection. Prices are reasonable if you join their club.
Great help in the meat department finding a good rub for a Boston Butt
Friendly staff. Always willing to help customers find the items they need. Store is always clean.
Great place. Good people. Helpful most of the time.
Amazingly sparse patronage this opening at 0930. Got in and out in 20 minutes.
Most times its wonderful however self checkout staff not very helpful or efficient
Fair prices. It has everything I need and fuel points!!! I love the free Friday items!
Friendly employees. Always clean. Best produce. One stop shop
I can find pretty much anything I want there, and their house brand products are great alternatives to the (typically) higher priced national brands.
Always very clean, well stocked, very helpful kind employees that have always gone out of their way to help me no matter what I have needed.
Very clean, employees are very kind and helpful, the deli and bakery have a large variety of options. They have plenty of checkout lines open so there is hardly a wait.
Always friendly and helpful employees. They Always have stock or if not theres always someone close by ready to help.
The drive-thru pharmacy pick up is a godsend. Polite Tech and knowledgeable cut the line moving efficiently especially at 6 p.m. when everybody wants to go home.
Its clean. They usually have what I am looking for. Sale items are always available.
Usually have everything my family needs. Prices are reasonable compared to other competitors. Sometis they give free merchandise away.
We found everything we need and when we asked for help shoeed us where the item was. Had no problem .thank you for your concern
Great clean store. They have wonderful customer service and fast, friendly check outs.
Kroger has super nice employees, & prices for groceries & clothing are very reasonable.
On several occasions, I have waited a few minutes while associates continued their conversations before asking if I needed help. The store itself is great but the associates are far from helpful.
Awesome found everything easily and the most important thing is that everyone was super nice and outgoing.
Full service generally well stocked and close to home.
Clean store. Tends to have what Im looking for. Decent sales.
Produce was excellent & the store was clean. No screaming children at 10 pm
Nice clean store and friendly staff.Ft. Mitchell Kroger needs to take lessons on being helpful, and not acting like its a chore to help a customer...Independence Kroger rocks.
Thanking our Independence Kroger for their generous support of local veterans. Hanging out with some real heroes from WW II, Korea, Vietnam, and the Gulf Wars.
Great Kroger Market, probably the cleanest that I have ever been in. The customer service is second to none and everyone working at this store always wears a smile and says hello or tells you to have a nice day. My favorite Krogers.
I love the deli section where I can try delicious cheese and specialty items. Yum!
Love this place but they lost a star because they went from 24 hours to closing between 1am and 5am. I like to shop when they are not busy so I go late but they have people stocking shelves in your way so it takes just as long.
Love the Walton and Newport store but hate this one. Always out of Dasani while stocking skids of Kroger brand in aisles as if trying to force you to buy their brand. Hosing down deli floor while deli is still open with no regard to the splatter. Often find outdated produce and other items that dont get removed from stock but kinda mixed in. I think the manager is too concerned with a bonus instead of quality. Even emailed a complaint about the deli floor being hose and water off the floor splattering everywhere but didnt even get a response.
I always have a great experience here. The workers are always friendly.
Friendly staff. The store is always fully stocked and clean.
I arrived at approximately 11 p.m. On a Wednesday night. The dimly-lit facade and the only one door to enter through and the lack of human cashiers told me hey were open but we dont really want to be . Someone was kind enough to ring me up though.
Big store with tremendous variety of produce clothes household needs.
Has gotten run down quickly! Limited options for vegan options on different brands
Is clean if you are handicapped they will help you to the car with your groceries theyre good about having deals on groceries
Huge selection and always clean. Great associates
Very clean and friendly store. Employees are super nice!
This is the only Kroger that is always out of 5 to 7 items I need.Gone several times since it is my neighborhood Krogers and have been disappointed every time. Will have to drive to Hebron or go to Union when it is opened.
Great, everything I needed. Got in and out quickly.
The bathroom was right up front and I was really happy about that at the moment...lol
Very nice and clean. Staff friendly and helpful!
