I knew that I was experiencing some hearing loss and was really apprehensive about having the test. My suspicions were confirmed and the hearing loss was much bigger than I thought. Ken Kidd is a teacher!! He explained what was happening within the ear and what needed to be done to prevent further damage. My husband and I were both amazed at his level of expertise. At no time were we coerced into buying their product. Today my hearing aids were placed in my ears. Again, Ken was the teacher. I feel very blessed that we happened to get the promo in the mail when we did. Today I am a happy woman. The office manager, Rebecca is very friendly and welcoming. For the last several years my mother had an increasing difficulty with hearing and following conversations. Each time we discussed with her about getting her hearing tested she was not interested. Lately, her hearing had gotten to the point she was unable to follow along in conversation and the TV volume was increasing. I decided to do some online research on local KC hearing companies. Of course I came across Miracle Ear locations, my attention was drawn to the reviews about Ken Kidd. I talked with my mother about the free hearing exam and what it would entail. She told me she had a small hole in one ear drum and was concerned about the need for surgery. We decided to set up an appointment to see what could be done and how expensive since this was also a major concern for her. I accompanied her to the appointment and was present during the exam and discussion. Mr. Kidd was very knowledgeable and explained things in ways that my mother could understand. We were relieved when he said he could help without the need for surgery and presented a number of hearing aid options. He explained the difference of each type and limitations. We choose a mid-range device. There was never pressure to purchase any level. In fact, at this time she only needed one device for the damaged ear. She tested a sample device and was very impressed with the immediate improvement and how light weight it was, . It has now been several months since she has received her hearing aid and it has been a life improving event. There has been a number of follow up visits that has helped to educate and check the status of the device and to make slight quality adjustments, all included with the purchase. I took my dad to replace his hearing aids. His previous hearing aids were from the VA and they were good, but he just was not hearing well. We had a lengthy appointment, and his examine was very thorough (given by Ken Kidd). Mr. Kidd took an enormous amount of time to examine his hearing loss and review all options. Dad was thrilled with the results. I was so impressed with the patience and kindness given to my dad, in addition to the excellent information that was provided to him with regard to his new hearing aids. We have since gone back for his first follow-up visit, and again were treated so well, and all questions have been answered. Dad can hear better, and is very happy with the results.

I have worn hearing aids my entire adult life, I have worn a variety of brands and after wearing my new Miracle-Ear aids I can honestly say that these are the best quality aids I have ever owned. I have profound hearing loss and I depend on my hearing aids to communicate and function, believe it or not I’m a musician and have been hired to run sound for venues and bands as well as running sound for the band I belong to, my point being mediocre hearing aids simply won’t work for me. I did check out the Costco brand thinking to save some money but their bargain brand wasn’t even strong enough to touch my hearing loss, therefore they tried to sell me a more expensive set of aids and the sound quality wasn’t even close to the quality and tone of my new Miracle-Ear aids, not to mention the customer service and professionalism level at the big box store wasn’t any better. Before I end this review I want to say this is my first review I have ever written for any product I have ever purchased. The reason I’m writing this review is in part the quality product but most of all the great customer service and professionalism shown by Dr. Ken Kidd. Ken will take his time with you and make sure you get a thorough hearing test, Ken will explain the results layout options and allow you to decide what’s best for you. The most impressive part is you’ll never feel like a number, the only thing Ken is concerned with when he’s working with you is your needs and helping you hear again. If it wasnt for Miracle Ear I would never had the chance to hear again in my right ear. I was deaf in my right ear until 1 1/2 yr. ago when I got my hearing aid, now Im able to hear the leaves russel on the ground, hear my 3 yr old grandson walk behind me, the birds singing, and much more. I have never been able to hear all these things until Miracle Ear helped me. Miracle Ear is an awesome place to go to get hearing aids. Miracle Ear Staff is awesome, they will walk u through all the processes from getting and taking care of the hearing aids.

I brought my Step Dad in on Thursday, Dec. 17th to get his hearing aid checked out and cleaned. Ken Kidd helped us and was so nice!! We didnt have an appointment but he had time to pull Mels file, check out and clean his hearing aid, tell us about the warranty to replace his hearing aid that he had lost. PLUS he looked at my Step Dads ears, cleaned out some ear wax and just was so nice and helpful!! I would recommend Ken Kidd and Miracle Ear in Independence to anyone who is looking for hearing aids!! I have had a hearing loss for several years and have had several exams. I went to Miracle Ear in Independence, Mo recently and experienced the most complete and intense exam i have ever had. Ken Kidd knew his business and i ended up with hearing aids and i can hear again. Ken was very professional and understood my situation. He knew why others couldnt help me and made the corrections. Rebecca at the front desk was very knowable and friendly.

I had my hearing tested at the Miracle Ear store on Noland Rd in Independence, MO. The Audiologist who tested me took the time to show me a breakdown of the inner ear and explained how each part functioned to aid in hearing.In all the years that I have had my hearing tested no other person has taken the time to do this and I was amazed at the complexity of the ear and very appreciative of the time he took to explain this.

Just purchased my 2nd pair of hearing aids this week from Dr Ken Kidd at the Independence Mo location and I am more than thrilled with the results. I had a an appointment at the LEES SUMMIT LOCATION that had been scheduled for me the day before by a scheduling agent! But I Rev r received a phone can call early in the morning before my appointment and was told that the location where my appointment was for had decided to close also due to inclement weather! But was asked if I would mind going to the Independence store after I had complained about being able to receive treatment! But I was asked if I minded going there instead and letting her try and fix my issue! Well I did go, and yes she did fix my issue when she couldve stayed at home in her warm bed! But she didnt she came in just to fix my hearing aide for me so that I could be comfortable again! Thank You Sweetheart you really made my whole year!

Good people to deal with. Friendly and address any issues quickly. I really like my knew hearing aids. I use the app that is available on my phone. easy to use and useful. My favorite app is the connection to the tv. I CAN HEAR WHATS BEING SAID! I can hear the clues on Masked singer and when watching the Chiefs its like being there! The announcers, the music, the crowd, the drum, the players, the crunch of the hard hits all right in my ears. Ken Kid explains everything you need to know about the aids and the app. Sets everything on the phone for you, pairs everything, and adjusts the hearing aid to your need and liking.

Dr Kidd thoroughly explained everything and did not rush me. I appreciate that he gave me an honest diagnosis that I did not need a hearing aid. He is very knowledgeable and he taught me a lot! His receptionist were just as nice and friendly as Specialist Dr. Kidd. First experience though not the last.

I have been with Miracle Ear for six years and have a great experience with the company. The technician and receptionist are extremely knowledgeable of their jobs. They are friendly and willing to answer your questions, even the dumb questions. ( with out laughing). Last year my health insurance started covering hearing aids. I called the company they worked with and found that you pay out of packet for office visits and hearing test. It was like talking to a used car salesman. Miracle Ear has been taking care of my hearing needs for the last 15 years...I have purchased 3 sets from them and before my last purchase I compared price and service with other companies . Price was very close but no one can match the service you receive with Miracle ear . Your not limited to meeting with them as other companies have a limit and after that they charge you to make adjustments to your hearing aids. Ken Kidd is the hearing specialist that I have been going to for years. I have even gone to him at his Kansas office as the man knows his hearing aids. Very friendly and will listen to my problems I may have and go out of his way fixing the problem. My last set of hearing aids I purchased a few months ago has bluetooth and what a huge difference it has made in my hearing the TV and talking on the phone . I no longer need head phones to watch TV and hearing my cell phone now in both ears makes talking on the phone now a more enjoyable conversation for me and my friends ! In May or 2019 I was getting tired of saying “what did you say” so I called Miracle ear and got and appointment Dallas was person that sold me my Aids I knew my left ear was bad and it sure was 4 percent earring so she set me up with what I called surround sound hearing. Fast forward to September 2020 went in for my check up Ken Kidd was and is the specialist now. So he could connect to my situation he retested me and I had lost more in the left. Ken was very honest and thorough walked me thru my problem and sold a newer hearing aid. Today, November 10 I received that hearing aid. Ken once was very thorough while explaining all of the little details also I bought a TV control where I will not have to turn the TV loud I can turn down the volume and not miss anything. The receptionists & doctor were very friendly, and out going. The doctor was very knowledgeable and helped educate us about our ears, and problems that you can have. You can see inside your ear with a video camera looking into your ear.

I placed my order on 10/15/2019 and still have not received my hearing aids. Made numerous calls with no results. Even got a called from the office after paying asking me to set up an appointment to talk about ordering the hearing aids. Does not anyone know whats going on in this location? I thought Miracle Ear Hearing Aid Centers were the best know practice in this industry. What do they expect you to do when you have already paid and they filed a claim with your insurance.
