They held onto my van for over 40 days without answering their phones or giving me an update. Every time I spoke with someone I was told the mechanic was on vacation. How much vacation time are these mechanics given? Had to go into the office multiple times in person to get any answers. They never figured out how to fix my vehicle. AVOID if you care about your vehicle. If CNBC is thinking of doing a hidden camera segment on mechanics that take advantage of you, this would be the dealership.
Came in last month, and was so grateful for the assistance Christian Martinez took care of my Flex. I had a few concerns on my battery, brakes, yearly inspection, and my regular oil change. He was able to assess all my concerns and gave me the peace of mind of knowing my car was all good. Any other place or other rep probably would had me purchasing all new brakes and a battery. An expense that I saved. As for time, I dropped off that morning and the shuttle with Salvador to and from work was an added bonus. Definitely will come back, finally glad to have a service rep here that looks out for his customers.
Many negative experiences with our recent visit. Scheduled an appointment to have some recalls fixed and a couple other things done while it was there. Initially told it’ll take about an hour for the work, but it may be towards the end of the day for it to be completed (currently around 2pm). Called back around 6pm to check on the status, and was told it’d be the next day for it to be completed. Called back the next morning, the guy went to check on the status and put me on hold; sat on hold for 20 minutes, finally hung up and called back only to get transferred to someone else and got an update that it’ll be 6pm that day (also was told on the phone they didn’t factor in one of the service items in the cost so it’d be $25 more than the original estimate).Received another call about 3pm asking if I was still planning to bring my truck in…I had scheduled an online appointment, but they didn’t have record of me showing up for it even though I did and they had the truck. Tried calling them back from the number provided in the voicemail, but it rang for a minute without anyone picking up, so I gave up.Showed up at 6pm the second day, truck still not ready, was told another 30 minutes. Waited the 30 minutes, still have not had the work done. After another 30 minutes, they had finished the recalls, but not the other items, so I just had them pull the truck around and will be taking my business elsewhere for the remainder of the work.Overall it seems the service department has no idea what is going on, do not meet promised delivery times, and do not communicate updates when there are changes to the schedule. They also did not seem proactive until I was onsite waiting for the vehicle forcing them to make some progress on the work.On top of all the delays, difficulty getting an update over the phone, and incorrect price quote, they had the audacity to provide my information to the sales department, who called only about 5 hours after I dropped my truck off for service to try to sell me a new truck because mine was “already three years old”. Obviously if I’m bringing it in for service (including getting an inspection) I plan to keep it and not buy a new truck. We looked at other google reviews and noticed the owner’s response was to call Lauren Martinez in the customer relations department. Tried calling, but went to voicemail and left a message. Have not received a call back yet.
Waited an hour to have a battery installed? Should have done it myself in 5 mins. Took them 40 mins just to fill out the paperwork and put it in the system. Seriously? Then this is the view while we wait. 3 mechanics just sitting around. With 7 people total doing nothing. Not a single car is being worked on by anyone. Poor poor service. The only one that seemed to be helpful was Andrew. Both Greg and James seem to have their heads put their you know what. The mechanics on top of doing nothing are too busy laughing, joking, and chatting. They clearly dont care about their jobs or working. This is the worst Ive ever seen. The 3 year warranty doesnt even seem worth this bs. The pictures I uploaded are of the 3 mechanic sitting around not working and of one mechanic on his cell phone screwing around.
Staff was polite and got me in quickly for my appointment time. However once in, they attempted to tell me that the Synthetic oil blend they had previously been putting in my car was not acceptable and I needed full synthetic which was a cost difference of $89 instead of the regular price of $35. (Previous services I had been paying $55-$60 for oil change and youre rotation)They changed the story three different times about why the difference.1. Then it was a combination of the previous two about how the full synthetic is most beneficial due to the size of the tube or whatever the oil has to pass thru2. It only takes full blend per VIN which means they had been putting in wrong oil.3. Then it was they got a New manager and I was previously billed wrongSo I asked for my car back and did not get serviced there.I left feeling extremely frustrated and feeling like I was being forced into a higher cost service.I will NOT be returning.
Ive been waiting 3 hours for an oil change and state inspection. For some reason they did the 30,000 mile service for a second time which includes a decarbon service. This is not something I asked for, as the vehicle has 35,000 miles and decarb is not part of the maintenance schedule at 35k. Well apparently that decarb service I didnt ask for will throw an error code and prevents you from doing a state inspection until the vehicle has been driven for a while. So here I sit, furious, and unsure of where my vehicle is... for god knows how much longer... I just want to leave and I am stranded. The service manager only wants to argue with me instead of offering any real solutions to this problem saying well I can just refund you and you can get your state inspection done elsewhere. Turns out they charged me for all the extra service I didnt want and my $40 oil change + $26 state inspection has turned into a $400+ argument over dude wheres my car?Update: its been a week, i noticed a rumbling sound. Turns out they didnt put the air filter box back together, so that was the rattling noise I was hearing. Also, I dont have an air filter anymore.
No one called me back after having put the wrong oil in my truck until a month later. I went and changed my oil have a thousand mile because my truck needed the heavy duty oil. Not what I expected from Westway Ford in lrving tx.
This place makes AV Ford look like a used car dealership. They have free popcorn, vending machines that actually works, free ice cold water and tons of TVs and wifi that works. And the service people do their best to accommodate you.

The rep was very helpful but I felt taken advantage of by the shop and did not feel the work was done properly especially for the large amount of money spent. A second opinion confirmed my beliefs.
