Overall service was decent. Things not cool are lug nuts falling off your truck. And coming dangerously close to losing your tire while driving.
UPDATE: Shop reached out and did genuinely apologize and take responsibility for the mixup. They offered a rental car for the duration of the repair (which we didnt want because the car is basically used for transporting dogs and we didnt want the liability on a rental).When we picked up the car, they did do 2 very nice gestures. They covered the oil change that we had requested while it was in for body repair, and they detailed the inside and outside which was much appreciated.We will attribute this to a communication error and would be willing to go back based on their handling of the situation.----Original Review-----very disappointed. Was there a few months ago and had a great experience. This time, we were told to drop it off 7am Monday and that it would take a couple of hours. The day ended and all we got was a text message saying it was now due to be fixed the next day with no explanation, all phone calls going to voicemail. Now its the next day, car still not done, called for an update told we would get a call at 10:30. 1pm and nobody called so called again and then promised a call back. Finally got a call back and the word is that the condenser (a part that was being replaced) was not in stock. So why wasnt it ready Monday morning? Oh - well the work was unexpected. Nope, replacing the condenser is right there on the quote. Something must have happened in the past few months that degraded the quality of the service department. Will not return.

Do not go here!! The owner was incredibly rude and spit on my son. He poured a can of monster into my trunk when I refused to pay for poor quality work! Absolutely traumatized.
This place is awesome! I got body work done twice here, new tires put on my truck and oil changes for both vehicles. They worked really well with my insurance company and gave me good recommendations to shops in the area for things they couldnt do like install a new sound system. Highly recommended!
Winks did a decent job. Our car was sideswiped so the whole right side needed work. They were on-time (within a couple of days, the metal work (rear fender and doors) was top notch, paint so far is excellent.The only surprising item are the bolt-on items. The fender and headlight do not match up. They have done better work for me in the past so I assume this is due to this particular crafts person. I have to give them a four. Everything else they were great to deal with.
I have to say I’m well pleased with the services Winks provided. I got into an accident during one of the snow storms and the tow truck driver was nice enough to drop my car at the body shop. Plus, the staff were friendly and helpful! Only criticism I would say is the price. I’m not familiar with car repair prices, but I wish the price wasn’t twice my deductible. Overall, I would recommend them.
Im very glad I took my sons car here. They worked as quickly as possible and kept me updated on the progress. If i ever get in another accident..I will not hesitate to book an appointment.
Couple of months ago I met with an accident and my bumper cover was damaged with some other damages. Winks did a good job in repairing my car with a few mismatches. After two months my buper cover started to pop out. I went to Winks to check and repair but they refused to rapair saying it is out of warranty and I could have probably hit the front somewhere. I was really disappointed.
Quality work but someone tooke my mini cooper for a joy ride!!!!! The bill didnt state the mileage coming in but I took a picture of my mileage before I dropped it off. Also ther was like no gas in the car, I would never recommend winks.
I tried to remove a scratch by following YouTube videos and turns out you should really have one of those random orbital polishers. The clear coat was all clouded and it wasnt going to come out by hand. Brought it in today and they buffed it out within 10 minutes and didnt charge me (I was willing to pay!). The staff in the office are easy to talk to and overall it seems like a positive work environment. I will definitely be referring people here in the future. Thanks!!

I have a brand new truck that needed a new bumper painted black with metallic in it .. I believe it’s a little harder to blend metallic so I was a little worried at 1st because of it being a 2020 truck, they did a good job I’m very happy with it and will be doing more business there .

Great service! Called to ask about getting an estimate for some body work. Got an appointment the same day, had an estimate within half an hour of arriving, scheduled the work to be done for the following week. Work was completed ahead of schedule, and they even vacuumed and cleaned the car. Would definitely recommend.
I had extensive damage to the front end of my van from hitting a deer ($6-7,000). The vehicle looked fine when I picked it up. A couple months later I noticed all the gaps on the front end had shifted, to the point the hood was resting on the headlight. When I took the vehicle back to have it looked at, in 15-20 seconds the manager was convinced it wasnt from anything they did, and the vehicle must have been hit, though there was no evidence o this. I took the vehicle to a dealership, where they disassemble and assembled the front end, and was told 4-5 of the screws that hold things together were never tightened.We all make mistakes, but the insistance that they did nothing wrong without even looking, was rediculous. They will never see another of my vehicles. Do youreselves a favor...go elsewhere.
Incredible service from the minute you walk in the door to the time you pick up your vehicle. They have insurance reps and rental car reps ready to serve you, which makes it very convenient. They text updates to let you know the status of your vehicle and how it’s progressing. My vehicle was ready two days before they told me. I highly recommend this place to anyone.
Hit a deer, and Winks is the Geico-approved shop in the area. They did a great job fixing everything and they were very friendly through the process. They were super communicative and the progress texts were helpful.

I had such a great experience with Winks when I took my car there recently (someone backed into me, leaving both doors on the drivers side unable to be opened). Although they couldnt fit my car in for another two weeks, they were able to fix the doors enough while completing the estimate for me to drive it safely. Its in such a convenient location - when I did drop it off I was able to walk right across the street to Enterprise to pick up my rental car. And everything was perfect when my car was finished (early!). It looked better than it had prior to the accident, and all of the paperwork and insurance stuff was handled seamlessly. Everything looked good. That is until I changed my fog light bulbs. Plastic that was broken in the deer accident was not replaced. Wiring harness that went to the fog light was busted and just holding on by the wire clips. This was all paid for by my insurance company.

Very bad experience with Geico adjusters and Winks. Actually I am not sure who should I complain about, winks or Geico. My car had a main damage at the back bump, but they repaired a minor scratch in the front bump. What a surprise. Very very stupid work, if this is how they can deal with insurance companies, it is really disappointing.
I have had numerous repairs over the years with Winks. Every time they made the repairs and my car looked brand new. They have been professional and kind. This last time, my car was ready earlier than planned. They checked in my rental car too at Enterprise so that was one less thing to do. Repairs big or small, they can do it. I highly recommend them.
They are some genuinely very nice people but I did not have a good experience overall. I had to return 2 additional times. The second time they installed the side mirror that finally came in and were supposed to repaint the car bc the color was wrong. They did not repaint. Finally the 3rd time I went it was good enough. That being said, this review is mostly for the gieco estimator. Would not listen to a word I was saying. He did not help me in anyway. I thought he was degrading and he went as far as scheduling things without me knowing or it fitting my schedule at all. I ended up having to work with his supervisor the rest of the time who i still disliked, but he was nice. I just thought they were kind of trying to cheat me bc Im a young female. I had someone from winks standing at my car agreeing with me that he sees a difference in the paint and the gieco estimator just kept saying that he didnt see it. I am very disappointed with the customer service that I recieved. I would maybe use this place if I were not dealing with gieco. But as long as gieco is there Im not going back. Maybe they lacked a little quality standard because its insurance work? Not sure. Also, winks said the original paint the used was the proper color and just needed to be buffed out... I went to 2 different shops who immediately confirmed it was the wrong color. Just wish I had a better experience as winks was very nice and always did a full detail of my vehicle which was awesome. This last time though, I drove 6 hours to visit my parents after I picked up my car, came back and washed my car. Seems that when they cleaned the side of the car to repaint it again, they got the cleaner all over my plastic fenders which are now discolored on that side of the car. Im pretty disappointed in that. I dont even know how I will be able to restore the color of the plastic.

My 4-year old scratched someones side door with a rock and we offered to pay for repairs. Winks charged us $900, including taking off and reinstalling lights, painting the roof, etc. (Mind you, she is only three feet tall so there is no way she reached the roof.). Based on web research I would have expected a buff job for $200 or so. We just wanted the issue to go away so we followed through but I could not recommend this shop. It might have been cheaper to just buy a new door.
The lady behind the desk was lovely and kind, leaving me feeling confident that everything would be fixed with my car. I picked it up later in the day with major problems with my muffler that somehow magically happened at the same time my car was repaired. The sound emminating from the car post-repair was so obvious that even myself, someone slightly ignorant to vehicles, was able to notice. When I went back to have them look and see the guy was extremely dismissive about my concerns. I asked him why this issue (which is one that happens over time, to my knowledge) would have happened coincidentally right after I picked up my car. He looked at me like I was stupid and told me it just happens and they cant help me. Sorry. It would have been better if someone mentioned other issues going on with my car while it was being looked at so I could have planned accordingly.

I took my car in to have a small demt repaired...a 2013 vw jetta which for whatever reason has a small cap covering a hole on the front bumper small but noticable as the car is red an the cap is red but under it was black. I know for a fact it was there before taking my car in. And when i went to pick it up i noticed it missing instantly. When i questioned the owner simply stating that maybe it fell off while they were working on it and he flat out refused the possibility and acused me of acusing his staff of stealing...also suggested that maybe a passer by took it while it was parked in thier lot. Regaurdleas of what happend to it my car was under thier care therefore thier responsibility. After aruging he agreed to replace it than proceeded to tell me that i was no longer allowed to go to them for work. Extreamly rude and unprofesional. Awful place and i make sure to tell everyone about my expirence.
Someone backed into me in a parking lot. The other person had Geico insurance. Geico was great about paying for the repairs. They sent me to Winks Body Shop in Ithaca where they have a Geico representative. He looked at the car and issued me a check on the spot. I could have taken it anywhere for the repairs but went with Winks because it was convenient and someone from my insurance company said they did great work. It was easy to set up - I left my car there while I was on vacation and they got it done. It needed additional work beyond what Geico had originally written the check for, but Winks was able to get the money from Geico and it didnt cost me a dime. They did great work and were great to work with. I was completely satisfied. I asked the owner whether it was worth fixing some other existing dents and he was honest enough to tell me it wasnt worth the cost given the age of the vehicle. Would definitely recommend them. #13838

Winks stinks They did a small repair on one rear fender of my 56 Tbird but mismatched the paint. When I complained the owner said if they to match it would require a complete repaint job and the cost would start at 5000 dollars. First estimate by his son was 1800.
The guy wont even schedule me to repair even though Geico got everything covered. This is our policy is very cheap and uncustomer friendly excuse. Alright then, its your money that you dont want.
