The kind men at Northside were the only shop in Jackson that were willing to stay after hours to help me and my friends be able to drive 10 more hours back to Texas. Without them we would have had to stay 3 more days in a town we did not know. My friends and I are forever grateful for their hard work and compassion!

My friends and I were on our way home to Texas, and we were having issues with our brakes. We called countless auto shops, and no one was able to help us out until Northside. The guys here were so helpful and kind, and went above and beyond to make sure we would make it home safely. This place and the people are awesome!

We are so thankful for North Side auto repair! We were traveling from Nashville, on our way back home to Texas, and three hours in I start having problems with my brakes. North Side is the only place that made time for me on a Friday within an hour before closing. Being far away from home, it was scary to need a repair, but they stayed an hour OVERTIME to make sure that we could get home. Most places would have not done anything until Monday, but they were so sympathetic to my situation. I am so thankful for these helpful guys who truly want the best for their clients. They were upfront and honest with me about the situation, but genuinely cared about finding a solution.

Northside is filled with the kindest people i’ve ever met! A group of my girl friends and I were traveling home to Texas from Nashville and realized once we reached Jackson that our brakes were being weird. We called almost every single place in Jackson and Memphis to get us in but Northside was the only place that was willing to try and squeeze us in - not to mention this was an hour and a half before they closed on a Friday. We told them what was wrong and they told us they were going to try everything so we wouldn’t be stranded. Jason came in and informed us that they wouldn’t have the part until Monday and we were just at a loss. After more hard work from their team, Jason informed us that they had found a part at a local dealership so one of their guys was going to go grab it and then Doug offered to stay overtime to try and get us back on the road. I am so thankful for this group of men who worked so hard to make sure we made it home safely. They also wanted to make sure we were okay so they told us to call as soon as we got home so they know we made it safely. I cannot recommend them enough! Mark, Jason, Doug, and the guy with the big beard - thank y’all, so much.

I received a quote on a repair job and scheduled the work with them for the next day. I told them to call me if it wasn’t the problem and the bill was more than the $252.50 . They called after they had removed the part to tell me it was what they thought but was going to be $402.50. What was I to do but let them replace it. I felt like they took advantage of me and this isn’t a business I would not recommend or will use them again because of this incident. I had received estimates for $275 and $310 so this bill of $402 was unnecessary especially when they had told me $252.50. A business should stand by their word.

These guys are awesome 10/5 showed up right at open. They already had several customers in line but they were able to squeeze us in and get us back on the road.

The guys were nice & professional, and made sure to find heavy duty parts for our horse trailer repair - it took 3 times ordering to get the heavy duty parts as opposed to standard parts.Did it right and fast, despite heavy downpour that day.

Fast, efficient, and friendly. HOWEVER- I called the day before the amount needed to take it out of the shop and was told $49. The following day I took it out and it actually cost me $115! And that was AFTER I had pushed to get the price down to what I was originally told on the phone.

Best service Ive had in a very long time. As a long time customer of one of the bigger names in town, I had already bought the part and called to see if they could get me in that day. They said itd be a 4 hour wait and they would have to charge me for the part because they wouldnt use anything outside their shop. Northside got me in first thing this morning, told me exactly what to expect, charged me for exactly what was done and no random fees and added amounts out of nowhere that jack the bill up. First time Ive ever looked at a bill from a mechanic and been like....yeah, that looks right. Plus, they saved me from putting the wrong part on my car. Less than 2 hours later, I walked out with 3 issues solved (brake lights, wiper issue and oil change), they only charged me for 2 and I couldnt be happier. They even offered to drive me anywhere I needed to go and come pick me up when my car was ready. I ended up just staying cause I had things to work on, and the owner and his wife were super friendly. Ill definitely be bringing them my business from now on!!! Honest, LOCAL, and good humans!

Was told I needed everythingvreplaced on my vans brakes. Only 6 years old. Was charged $550.00 for the work and the breaks made a squeaking noice. I called them and they said sometimes it takes a month or so to stop doing that. Well it never stopped and now its doing exactly the same thing it was doing when I took it in to start with. Im on a fixed income, $500.00 doesnt grow on my trees. Ill find someone else to do my break work next time.

Northside Auto Service has always done an excellent job diagnosing and repairing any automotive problems I have encountered. They are honest and straightforward regarding repairs and I always feel comfortable with their approach to customer service, in general. They have a well equipped new facility and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

Took my car there and asked them to put grease on the break pads because they were still good, but there was some squeaking. (I had had them inspected by another mechanic before). I dont know what happened while I was gone, but I come back to a 360 dollar bill. They had apparently replaced the rotors and break pads without measuring the rotors (which were less than 2 years old and still on warranty) and the break pads which I knew were still good. So after some giving them some grief demanding to see the old pads and rotors they decide to just not charge me for the work. If this were the end of the story I would be happy enough.But today my front passenger wheel started making a terrible noise. When I get the car jacked up and start looking around I notice they never tightened the bolt that mounts the caliper to the rotor and it was scraping the rim of my tire! Miraculously the bolt wasnt lost so I was able to fix it, but talk about sloppy. This place tried to rip me off, didnt properly measure my rotors or inspect my break pads before deciding they needed to be replaced, and then didnt even install the new rotors on properly! Im just glad I wasnt hurt and no long term damage was done to my car due to their negligence.

Guys did great work !! When job scope was discussed after dropping vehicle off on Tuesday morning to see where leak was guy at the counter described what all was involved and that vehicle might not be ready until Thursday because of such a big job .I agreed to have work completed .I needed something out of vehicle and went there Wednesday morning and vehicle was outside they called a few hours later and said they got done sooner . when I went to pay the $1500.00 bill the guy complained because I wanted to pay with American express (posted ondoor they accept)and explained it would cost him $70.00 in fees, I went and paid cash even though they finished job a day sooner . good work but complained about payment methods.

The guys rescued me on the north end of Highland at 5 pm on Friday. Brought a jack, took my ruined tire back to the shop mounted a new tire and went back and put it on. You cant find service like that anymore. Thanks Northside!
