I went looking for a language book, but could not locate one. I should have asked. I chose not to. I did locate all of the mangas and romance section, where I spent most of my time. Leaveing I bought a Chia tea Late, that was really good.

I just love it u can go in and stay all day or a little while its great. Service is great. Its so great me n my granddaughter wants to spend her birthday there. Great love it.

I love visiting bookstores. Borders was my favorite. This place has a huge selection of books. It is rather dark inside the store and some titles are a bit pricey though.

Had a good bit of books that Barnes and Noble didnt have, although the science fiction section was unorganized, I didnt have too much trouble finding what I was looking for.

I used to love coming here, but more recently the some of the staff have been overzealous, one person in particular making me very uncomfortable. Unfortunately, I dont think I will be returning. Which makes me very sad because I am a big reader.

Nice book store with good prices and great sales. I love theyre non book items as well (like music and collectables). Decent coffee shop too where you could read for a bit.

I dont know what they got going on in here, but no one was at the register. And to get the advertised discount in the coffee shop, you had to ask for it. Nevermind that the sign says drinks half price 4 to 6.

Was tricked into a magazine subscription trial that I was told I could cancel at any time and given no receipt. Deceptive and rude.

Came in and a couple minutes later, an announcement over the intercom said “5 minutes til close.” We proceed to scan the area we were looking for real fast because we have 5 minutes and the security guard came up behind us rushing us out and we were looking at the time and we had three minutes, but we were just agreeing to go and he walked right up behind us the whole way to the door while other customers were still browsing. Absolutely horrible customer service. Love the store, but we will not be returning to any of the locations due to the bad customer service.

Thank goodness bookstores have survived in the age of Amazon. God Bless America!

Hey, a REAL bookstore! With books even! And a cafe!But seriously, its clean. Its (mostly) organized. And most of the staff are helpful. One guy tried to help my husband find a book, only for us to be told that it wouldnt be out till next month. (Spoilers: it came out last year AND my husband managed to find it on his own. Lol)But other than that, the prices are reasonable for both new AND used books/movies, and its easy to get to since its right off the highway! You cant really go wrong with this place!

Theres books of course but theres so much more. Had a great time looking through books, bears, puzzles and Pop figures. The cashier that check me out was really talkative and friendly. Had a wonderful experience.

Finally got the eighth volume of demon slayer

Been going to this Books a Million store since it opened years ago. I have a Joes Mug hat and coffee mug, coffee for 50¢ if you have a Joes Mug cup. Things were a lot different then. My main concern now is not with the store but with the employees, not very friendly at best. I not talking about greeting me at the entrance which always seems fake. When checking out Im always the one to say thanks, have a good day but it use to be the other way around.Went three times last week and each time got a frappe, one was a 16oz instead of 20 and they all three had big chunks of ice in them. The last one I had to wait at least 10 minutes for someone to show up. A person walking in the store ask me how long Ive been waiting and when told went through the store until he found someone. The person waiting on me was cold and made the worse frappe I ever had. I told myself no more Books a Million but Ill probably go back, its the only book store close by.

Love this place and its affordable. Chairs need to be replaced, in fact the whole decor could be retouched...better lightening or lighter colored book cases. Staff is very nice, but they seem to be tired and this I would place on higher leadership.

Things have surely changed. I still like to come here for books, i just dont like the check out up-sale tactics.A few months ago someone at checkout slip in some type of membership and I only noticed it because my $10 book came out to about $50. Turns out a membership that I didnt ask for was added.Just last week I was offered 3 free magazines. After I agreed to it I was told it was a subscription. I immediately told the young lady that I didnt want to deal with a subscription. Her reply, put it on your calendar and cancel it before you are charged. She said it nicely and I told her that my calendar is too busy as is to add another reminder to it. I asked if she could undo and and she told me she couldnt and gave me directions of how to cancel it on my own.FINALLY canceled today and had to endure MORE promotional sales.

I love this place... you can find any book you want.. we all should keep supporting a places like that! Because its about to disappeared!Keep it up guys we all loves you!

Of all the chain bookstores, I like BAM the best. They have more books that are on sale and usually have better prices than the other chains. This one has started buying and selling used books. The one closest to me does not, but it is physically smaller. This one has one of the largest collections of magazines that I have seen in any bookstore.

Hadnt been in Books-A-Million in awhile. They had my two books in stoc and I had courteous and friendly help finding them. Also they have other cute items and pastries and good coffee to drink which I did while I enjoyed my book. Will be going again soon.

Wow this place is awesome! Besides the extra large selection of books, they sell a wide variety of everything from book marks, to tote bags, to puzzles. I could have spent hours in there. Great for gift giving as well. I also found a coupon on line I was able to use in the store and they have a great discount card for a small yearly fee.

Im really not sure why I ever try to shop here. Every time I go, its a mostly disappointing experience. I went on Sunday because I was specifically looking for a certain book that I needed for a class. Online, it stated that inventory was limited and to check in person in the store to see if they had the book or not. I went and stood for five + minutes at the register while another customer was assisted. At no time was anything said to me even though the front entrance was right by the register and I immediately got in line. At that point, I went to the customer service area and no one was in sight. I then attempted to look for the book myself to no avail because the shelves were completely disordered in every way. I then was able to finally locate a customer service person who looked in his computer and his computer was able to tell him that the book was definitely not in stock. I left disappointed and with my time wasted.

Books A Million is an AMAZING, AWESOME bookstore. The selection there is tremendous and the employees are very helpful. Joe Muggs Cafe offers a variety of drinks both hot and cold plus snacks that can be enjoyed at your leisure.

The staff was obviously more interested about their conversation away from work than to notice that I was in need of assistance. I had to stand there and then interrupt them from whatever they were talking about to ask for help, only to be told that what I would need if its not in the general area then they wouldnt have it. Are businesses not stressing customer service these days?

Love it, always feel relaxed and my kids are soooo excited to run to Kids-A-Million, we can make a day out at the book store. Sitting on the floor ready, the coffee shop, or the seating provided. They have ordered several books for my daughter that she wanted that they did not have on store. Very accommodating.

The employees at books a million were all to busy to check me outI was sent from one location to anotherAt the coffee shop one person was doing something on floor and the other person was standing looking down.l stood there for a couple of minutes and then move down to the next counter where there were three employees they told me they could not check me out that I would have to go back to the front where I had already been. So I put the merchandise back on the table and left.

My favorite book store. Clean, comfortable, has plenty of places to sit and relax so as to peruse books, large kids section, and the staff is very helpful. I know ebooks are convienent, but theres nothing like a book in your hands. Love the smell of fresh print.

Been a while sinve I have been in there. We needed a graduation gift and they have really nice religious gufts that were perfect. It was really really hot in there today though and staff was moving kind of slow.

Ive worked with this store over the past 7 years and have always found them to be friendly, professional and willing to go above and beyond the call of duty. Jackson is definitely fortunate to have them in the city.

The best bookstore in Jackson. They have a extremely large selection and anything they dont have they can order. Customer service is great and prices are always acceptable. They also carry many other products in an effort to stay relevant with not as many people reading actual physical books as there used to be. Every time I go in Im amazed at the new additions I find such as toys records record players cds dvds puppets masks and on and on. So dont underestimate what you might find there.

A large bookstore with a pretty decent periodical/magazine section. This store is in need of a remodel with lots of the furniture getting wearing out and a lot of the surfaces looking very worn.Still, the staff here is pleasant and its a great alternative if you dont want the busy-ness of Barnes and Noble.

A manager told me, Nobody Cares about customer service.. They scam people into signing up for magazines. I have also been told that corporate only cares about getting the memberships and magazines. The cashiers have to meet a percentage on their $25 memberships and free magazines, or they will be terminated. By percentage I mean for every $300 they make they also must have someone sign up for the membership and 3 magazines.The only way to get these free magazines is if you use a card to pay. Why is that? Well they send your card information to the magazine company when you agree to sign up for them. Basically its a free trial, if you forget to cancel your subscription in two months your card will be charged.Go to Barnes and Noble or Lemuria instead.- A former Books A Million employee

Was a nice quiet place, we sat to eat and were only customers in store. The employee sat by the counter and turned on music, was very loud music with some questionable lyrics. We left and finished our ice cream in the car.
