This was the worst experience that I have ever had with a business transaction. I am in the process of finding my 16yo son his first vehicle. We found one a 4Runner at Cannon Toyota-Vicksburg. On Tuesday, my son and I drove from Jackson to Vicksburg to test drive the vehicle. On Wednesday, we agreed with the dealership on a price. Thursday morning I asked the salesman, Zak, to prepare the vehicle for my arrival around 4:00pm. He said he would have it clean and ready to go. On my way to pick up the 4Runner, I was texted by Zak to let me know that his manager, Dean, had sold the vehicle and that he was unaware of this and he was sorry. What an awful way to do business. Very underhanded and untrustworthy. Terrible experience. DO NOT do business with Cannon. I am trying to share this story as much as possible. Awful dealership.

I have been searching for a new, reliable, affordable car since March of 2015, and eventually - a family referral led me to this location for a great deal. I will admit that it is easy to get approved, but the lack of professionalism from certain representatives made me feel that I was being forced into purchasing a car. I got a 08 Dodge Avenger from this lot and since the first week of test driving, I began having problems. The sales team took two weeks to have the paper work sent off to my cosigner and back to me so I could officially sign and drive. Within that first week, the brakes went completely out on the car. I contacted them and arranged for the repairs, and I was without a vehicle for a week until I got the car back. The brakes were repaired along with a couple other minor issues, but of course, their no promises agreement ensures that they dont have to do anything they verbally tell you, even if they agreed to. My windshield was not repaired and apparently, my oil change was not done either because the oil change light still flashes up until this day.So, a few weeks go by after Ive signed, almost a month later, late tag fees included at my expense, that Im able to drive and my mom points out a knocking noise in the hood. The car already is loud for it to be a 4 cylinder, so I agreed to allow her to work with Cannon to try and resolve the issue, since I work full time and cannot physically be there to meet the demands. My mom got a run around from them, so much that it led to my job being inconvenienced. For the duration that they had the car, I would always get the runaround about how long it would take, they couldnt tell me what mechanic was fixing the vehicle, or give me a turn around time for when the repairs would be finished, so I was already on edge when my mom is calling and texting me irate about the events transpiring on my new used car. Afterwards, I came home one night and was on my way out to the store when I tried to crank the car, and it did not crank. I had to get a boost off, and the following day, I was on a wing and a prayer driving around to handle errands, in hopes that I could get it to cannon to have them take a look at it and test the battery to ensure that it would be safe to operate. Brad, by far, is the only professional person I have been dealing with throughout this experience, seeing that he appears to be patient and somewhat diligent in his efforts, and the information he provided. He tested my battery and explained to me, in short, that the problem was not my alternator, but a battery - since the car operated fine because the alternator kept the car going. I had to wait a few days until I could get the battery replaced, and they had mechanics put in this new battery, all for it to be putting me down as of right now. I am pissed and the level on no concern and deceit, as well as the unprofessional-ism, no compassion having people i have been dealing with this entire experience. It makes me regret making this decision to trust Cannon Motors as my choice to by a car, after planning and being logical and cautious, and I am not satisfied with the purchase of this vehicle, nor the service Cannon Motors has barely provided. I would not recommend them to anyone for their first purchase, or any other purchase. The financing part of the experience has been very fair and has fit directly into my budget, but had I know that Cannon sold me a lemon, this deal would have been walked away from a long time ago.
