Their service is worst most. After purchasing a car from Carmax, I had suffer with the car with lot of issues. At first they didn’t do any inspection before selling. So when I face trouble, they gave me loaner car. Then they want that loaner car back without fixing my car even.
I purchased my vehicle from here about a month ago. One morning when I was coming out of the store, I noticed the rubber bumper under the front of the car hanging down. Since I really dont go on the passenger side, I hadnt noticed until then that someone or something had messed up the side mirror where the sensor box was hanging down. I took it to car max last week and they ordered the parts before I had gotten home. I went back this week and the work was completed so my car looks like it did when I left their showroom.The parts department personnel were extremely polite, I didnt have time to make my cup of tea, but the young lady made sure I was able to have my eye opener. All employees that past me by spoke to me. I am extremely pleased that I bought my car from car max. I didnt have to worry about taking it to another mechanic to make sure that I had purchase a reliable vehicle. Carfax took care of that for me with a full report from the past owner (s) of the vehicle.I highly recommend CarMax as a place to get a reliable and beautiful vehicle
I bought a car here. The sales team is great.They have a lot of cars at good prices.If you dont pay for their monthly warranty and you have a problem with your car they charge you $50 just to look at it.
I recently had my first buying experience with Carmax and it was pretty flawless. I had been checking the website for a few months and finally found something in my budget that was still reliable and what we needed. Webb was great and I didnt feel pressured to add any warranty and I appreciated his honest opinion. I had the Jeep inspected by the dealership and everything looks good. The only problem I have had was when I picked it up the ignition module was not working properly, and one of the fobs didnt work. I cant remember the girls name that I spoke with from the service department, but she and was very pleasant and I and looking forward to getting it fixed in a few weeks.

Disappointing!!! Car ordered from another location. Paid for shipping. Was not contacted on its arrival. Everyone is dumb to what happened, this vehicle supposedly was lent out to someone. After someone at car-max took her name off of it. Remember a login is created by the customer for the link needed for the customer service experience. Four Car lots later. Did not get what ordered and everyone except one at car-max act as though this is the normal way they conduct business. I am due a truck it will not be through them.

I purchased a Lincoln in Memphis several years ago I loved that Car the only problem I had was the air suspension would drop down to the ground and you would feel ever bump in the road. I felt like that should have been taken care of before I purchased it. I had a warranty that didnt cover it.

I purchased a vehicle from CarMax in June 2020. The vehicle was transferred to Jackson store location from CarMax store in Mobile Alabama, it took 3 or 4 days which was not a problem. The test drive was good and vehicle was in good shape cosmetically with low mileage. After a week of driving the vehicle it started making loud popping noises on front end and the back up light indicator was on from day of purchase. I took vehicle to service department at CarMax explained issues and was given a loaner vehicle. It took over a week to get phone call as to the issues on the car which needed new front struts and mounts and a new circuit board for back up light. The parts were ordered which took another week then mounts were manufacturer back order that took an additional 7 -10 days once received almost another week to be installed. Almost 4 weeks of service department having my vehicle I was told it was ready for me to pick up. I did and before I could drive away from their location the car was making worse noise than when I dropped it off. Immediately took vehicle back given a loaner was called 3 days later that an extender needed to be put on with front struts. A day or two later they said vehicle was ready, I picked it up with no noise from front end but back up light out came right back on dash. At this point I just drove the vehicle and two weeks into that the ac STOPS blowing cold air, the service engine light comes on and back up light out light still on. I take vehicle back to service department given another loaner and now awaiting call back as to what issue is now. This has been a TERRIBLE experience with CarMax Jackson store...the vehicle obviously was not serviced once received from CarMax Mobile or before it was driven off lot by me when sold. The service department doesnt seem to be thorough with the repairs and doing things in a timely manner IS NOT their priority either. Employees are not the friendliest and act as if you are bothering them when their is an issue. CarMax is not the best in customer satisfaction by no means or in quality at all. I will never purchase another vehicle from this company or refer anyone I know to this location. Terrible....

Smooth process for buying a car without spending all day at a car lot. The majority of my purchase was done in the comfort of my home.Only downside is the Service Dept. They fail at follow through and follow up.
Carmax ran a very fair and honest operation. I was a bit skeptical walking in the door and seeing the long wait time. Someone very quickly came to help and I got lucky that he was a presidents club salesman who was super professional and he very quickly helped me. The rest of the process was explained thoroughly, when rather quickly and exactly as detailed. I would definitely utilize Carmax in the future.

Very disappointed with the sales team, the initial online guys were awesome but the local team was the exact opposite- everything from loosing my paperwork and info (had already done my credit app, had the car transferred to my location and even insured the car prior to coming in) to not having any answers to any questions about the vehicles or minor issues with the car. Now the service department is a different thing - Lisa is the absolute best and has taken care of any issue with the vehicle, she has always been super friendly and keeps you in the loop with that’s going on and the progress of the work- she is the reason I still come there instead of the Lexus dealership and am even considering buying another Lexus from them because of her !!
I found a vehicle on the internet with the discription and price. I went to Carmax Jackson MS. to purchase the vehicle the same day. When I arrived I walked around the vehicle (with a stock number) as advertised. But I was told the vehicle was now $4000.00 higher. The old bait and switch?? Bad experience.

From start to finish, everyone was super friendly. I started out working with DJ and ended purchasing with Janice. Janice came back in on her off day to make sure we were able to get the truck we wanted. I have purchase several cars in the past few years from other dealers and this was by far the easiest and nicest group of people. DJ, Janice and Lakeisha in finance office were all very easy to work with and no pressure was applied by any of them. All were very professional and personable. I am recommending other family members to look their first when looking for a good used car. Be sure to look up DJ or Janice :-)

I bought a 2009 Honda Accord EXL August 3, 2020 this is the worst car I’ve ever purchased in my life I’ve spent over $1000 in less than a year actually in less than eight months getting it fixed although they claim that they gave it a full check up and I don’t see how they could’ve done it so I had to call the corporate office to get help and the only thing they’re offering me is to bring my car back in and refinance for another one save your money folks this place is not worth it they can’t even answer telephone calls or return messages you’re better off going someplace else

Super super slow. They are not consistent with their paperwork. Have to redo several times to get it right. Doesnt run like a good business to me. But this is just my one opinion Im sure some people have a good experience. I didnt purchase a car i was with someone who did. I know I wouldnt take a second look at anything there
Stellar service! Im not joking either. Brian, Kili, Gabiey( I think this is how to spell her name), Robin, and Ms. Odessa (we only spoke to her on the phone the next day) all turned what could have been a very bad experience into a remarkable one. After a 3 hr drive we arrived and the keys were missing! Brian and Kili did not give up and even offered us lunch. After many hours waiting for the car, it was brought out front dirty because the cleaning guy was ready to leave for the day. Once our sales person (Kili) saw that we were upset, he tried to clean it himself!! While it was not expected it was nice to see he was willing to go the extra mile to make our experience better. The ladies in the business office were so kind and helpful as well. Not just with us but everyone. It was worth the drive to get this kind of service and we will definitely return.

At first the process was going well and I got approved for the car. The car then arrived at the Jackson location and now I can’t get in contact with anyone. Their giving me the run arounds about the car and I already purchased the insurance on the car and never even received a call or anything else about the vehicle. Went in there yesterday looking to drive off in my new ride after getting a full approval with a rep over the phone the prior day. Get to the dealership, and had the hardest time. Brought in all the necessary documents that I needed with the SAME exact information I gave the phone rep for the approval. Needless to say, I did not leave with my car. They give you the run around! Total headache!! What should have been a joyous day ended up an nightmare!
I rate my experience at CarMax a.....B... on a grading scale with A... being the highest.
Great place with friendly staff here in Jackson Mississippi. Tyler was an excellent salesman who wasnt pushy or your typical used car salesman. Very happy with my experience and my fiance thought the same MORE....Had issues with the brakes and engine and they fixed it all for free. Awesome frickin place 👌💪
Had a car transported from Oklahoma! Went to pick up the car and was told what all I needed to purchase the car. I am a business owner and also have two employees that works under me. I provided my own check stub, and also told them that I can also provide my bank statements to back up my finances. I was told that I couldn’t use my check stubs or could I no longer purchase from CarMax, in the near future. I ask the manager Donny, to explain to me the reason why and he replied, “he doesn’t have to give me a reason. He was very unprofessional and I wouldn’t recommend my dog to ever do business with them.

I was greeted by a wonderful sales associate, Charles Webster.He has been extremely helpful, patient and easy to communicate with.My only negative is the long time transfer process. I understand the trucks go from one destination to another. I am becoming very irritated with transfer time. It is totally unacceptable..

I never had a problem with CarMax until now. I brought my last car here and had an excellent experience! However; I tried to buy another car and the worst experience ever. I paid my money to get a car transfer I came to look at the car and found paint marks on the car. I was told that someone hit the car while parking other cars. Once I test drove the car I found, the windshield needs replacing. I called and tried to reconcile this issue on seven occasion and no results yet.
Went July 3rd to pick up my van I found on line did all the paper work im a 3 hour drive one way to them. Called to let them know I was coming half way and when i was just 30mints out. So they could have it ready to go. Get there no one knew I was coming van was not pulled looked at. Would not start stayed waited on them to call in shop workers they took it got a new battery for it now i asked for some help on looking at different cars vans no one would help. I done drive this far so i waited findly at 9:30 pm I leave with a list of things that they will fix said any shop at car max could do work. The one in Birmingham is closer so i take it to them.They couldnt fix the problem more things started braking and Its its been four months they said I had to go back to ms called them up they say will look in to it and call you back after I have been put to the sales tag and tile office to service office still no call back and i have a van that picks when the doors will unlock or lock back up camar half way works doors open half way some days others it opens all the way. Lights come on for no resin they did findly get that worked out. The DVD player doesnt work the VSA light comes on still a.c. works when you hit a bump but only will blow air to your face not the floor or windshield. Dont but from them they will not make it right!! Going to see what I need to do about legal action I need to take to get it taken care of at this point.
Tarsha McGIll is the best! She went far beyond the call of duty to get me in my beautiful 2013 Mercedes Benz! I am extremely satisfied. The day of sale, she and Trey worked beyond measure to make sure their promises were kept. Even though I made a 2nd trip from Cleveland, MS; satisfaction is immeasurable!!!!!!
Horrible customer service, If you need help may have a questions dont ask Darryl in the business office hes a delegator and sometimes he delegates you to a loop to nowhere to get you out his hair.

My experience was terrible so far, but Janice who is trying to help me as my salesperson has really gone out of her way to help me..she is Awesome!But dont go there thinking all the cars on the lot are for sale..had 3 there that I could choose from, the rest had to be transferred and was under the impression helped those with less than perfect credit scores was a joke!!

They are very helpful if you are in the market to purchase a vehicle. Customer service is good and knowledgeable on vehicles they have on hand. Also, if you want to sell your vehicle they will buy it from you and fair market value.

I will NEVER buy another car from CarMax! I got a 2017 with only 12,000 miles on it, so I was pumped. So far, it’s been in the shop for the same issue twice and I can’t take it to another dealership because someone put a non-GM part on it there and voided the warranty. I haven’t even paid my first note and it’s been in the shop twice. And there’s nobody there to talk to because they claim there’s no management on site. I wish I could give them 0 stars.

Got my 1st car from here and not even a year in My car has been in the shop multiple times! It has suspension issues whole thing collapsed and I don’t even drive like that 1500$ plus job! They pride themselves on inspections no way my car should have passed! Highly disappointed! Would not recommend!

Was going to be a 5 star, until the unprofessional kicked in pertaining about the vehicle i got from the place . Jacqueline Gale was rude and did not make feel like she was sincere about the problem about my car (tag still have Lien Holder) from the previous owner as she says . Bought the car Dec.26 and you guys found out about the hold 5 days later and did not contact me about the issue i had to call you guys . For this to be my first car this process is very frustrating. I should have just went to the Gulfport location.
I had two experiences here, the first was a five star experience that I have come to take for granted from CarMax. The man helping me was knowledgeable and respected the price range I gave him, and did everything he could to be helpful and courteous. I went back after the first visit to see the same gentleman that assisted me the first time, but he was working on something and had a fellow assist. As CarMax is not run like a standard dealership the incentive program allows for other salesmen to interact with customers without penalizing the first. The second guy was awful. 1/5 stars. He acted like a typical greasy used car salesman. Constantly trying to upsell to cars out of my price range or to brands I didnt care for and had already told him I wasnt interested in. Once I found a vehicle to test drive he started trying to push the warranty on me before we had even gotten off the parking lot. Once off the lot he couldnt bother to pry his face off his phone to give me directions on where to go, which as a non-resident of Jackson left me feeling very nervous and uncomfortable. He was awful and I literally could not get away from him fast enough. I parked the test drive as soon as I could and vacated the premises like I was being chased by a killer clown.TL;DR Some salesmen are great, others are so bad they literally chase you away
Janet was amazing to work with. We went in thinking we couldnt afford a newer car and we were willing to settle for an older model. Janet worked with us to get us a lower interest rate on our loan with a newer vehicle. Janet was so personal with working with my fiance and I. I was so blessed and thrilled by my experience at Car Max. Ive purchased three cars in my lifetime, two from a car lot and it was like pulling teeth. This experience was so different. My salesman, Mr. Derrick Johnson was great. He was a gentle soul because there was a lot I didnt know and he gave me much information that was beneficial to me. CarMax is great.. Plenty of options to choose from. The sales person I worked with was AWESOME !!!! The only problem I had was having to wait for the finance people to get their act together and get all my paperwork ready for me to sign. But other than that the experience was great...... They even had my vehicle transferred in for me since it was out of town.

Make sure you go behind them checking everything before you pull off there lot. I had a low pressure oil light come on right after my 30 days come to find out i didnt have much oil and the air filters was old.
By far the best experience I have had on a car lot. I didnt work with a pushy sales rep and I was not hustled into financing my car through CarMax. I had already picked the car I wanted and had it transferred from Texas, but my experience at the car lot was a lot easier than I expected. My sales rep, April, was AWESOME and very nice!! Id recommend CarMax to anyone in the market for a new car.
