SO SO SO BAD! See it it has the spelling of SOS, and for good reason! Impossible to get them to communicate with my billing department. If I could I would give them 0 star rating. Stay away, as far as you can!
I have had the very unpleasant experience of trying to get a refund for CPAP rental that was denied by a third party payor. It has taken over ten weeks. I still have not received a refund. It is well over four hundred dollars. I have spent ten hours cumulatively on the phone trying to get somewhere. So frustrating!
I have read all the reviews and I would like to express my experience with Apria of yesterday, 1/19/2021. From customer service to the deliveryperson, I could not be more pleased. All was handled in a very professional, courteous and expedient manner. Perhaps they have new management, but from what I read re: previous experiences(others), I must admit, I did have reservations, but MY experience was MOST favorable! Give them another chance, folks!
With the exception of the respiratory therapist and 1 billing agent in the local office their customer service is terrible. I have spent over 20 hours over countless calls for over a year trying to get my billing corrected. They tried to charge me, even though my insurance paid. Overcharged my insurance, and there is never a supervisor available. If you can go anywhere else.... please do
HORRIBLE customer service! Nothing but problems for day one! They billed my insurance company $11000. For 2 weeks usage of a wound vac. Turns out it was a coding error. I had to call 3 times to get someone to return my call to tell them I was finished with the vac. Supposed to come pick up the next day. It is now 3 days since the call and still have not come to pick up. Now I found they debited my checking account dir $387.96 which they DO NOT HAVE AUTHORIZATION for ANY charge. I may have to sue this company! DO NOT do business with them!!
Apria is a nightmare! Terrible billing department. Spent several months with multiple phone calls to Apria and my insurance regarding billing. My insurance reached out to Apria, paid off the machine. Apria sent me a check for a credit. After all that, a few months later, Apria billed my insurance again. The claim was denied because they already paid off the machine. Then, Apria sent me another bill. For what, I dont know. I have to call them again.I have anxiety thinking about this. A lot of time wasted, hours on the phone. I am afraid to purchase any supplies from Apria because I dont want a headache dealing with their billing department.
I start with Matrix Medical, now it was a terrible experience. After changing to Apria Healthcare the service has improved 1000%. The Reviews by others that give only a 1-Star rating I believe is based on their personal experience, but my experience has been very good. I just picked up a new CPAP machine and Apria I working with me to find a new style mask. Adam at my local office has been very cooperative and caring.
No customer service. No follow-up after sales. Would not recommend
This company has at almost every encounter messed up and dropped the ball one way or another, in dealing with my mothers Oxygen needs. Mind you this is oxygen ... without properly supplied oxygen my mother will be in the hospital or worse.It seems like they view this as if this were some luxury item that really isnt necessary to be supplied.Case in point... my mom is needing extra oxygen tanks because she is running low... I called Friday and was told they will deliver more tanks Saturday. Saturday morning they called my wifes phone (I gave them strict instructions multiple times to only call my wifes phone if I couldnt be reached). They left a message on her phone saying that they dont deliver Saturdays or Sundays... the soonest they will deliver is Monday. I called and the people answering the phone said they wont deliver on the weekends... we have to wait until Monday. BUT they were sorry. Hey, at least they were SORRY. Again, keep in mind, this is oxygen that my Mom NEEDS!This incident was just one of MANY!!! I caution anyone wanting to do business with a company like this!!! They talk a great game, sadly they just dont deliver... especially on the weekends (hey, who needs to breathe on the weekends anyway).If I could give ZERO stars I would.
I am disabled and rely on my wheelchair to transport on a bus equipped to move me in my chair safely. The tire continues to pop off of the rim. I was told my new chair would arrive today. Not as much as a simple phone call. Ive been on hold for 25 minutes. Please provide me the service that I am paying for! This has been a rental chair for 9 months. Ive paid for this chair once already. What Im supposed to be paying for by renting is CustomerCare. Please help me. I am relying on my wheelchair to ambulated around my home and to my Dr appointments. Disabled and extremely unhappy.

They are absolutely horrible. You cant speak to anyone who can help. They abuse your medical plan and charge them for what they want you to buy not what you want and if you try and address these issues it will take a minimum of a half day to resolve. They have a very convoluted and complete help line which in my opinion is designed to make you not try and actually change anything. These people should be investigated.
Went to pick up medical equipment,got to window where employee Adam was standing speaking with another customer,once he finished speaking with customer he closed the glass window in my face,never said hi, welcome, be right with you,He said nothing but closed window in my face than walked passed me twice and still never said anything to me or asked if I need help, nothing.After about 10 min of waiting some else finally came to the window and asked How can they help me..Wow
I was discharged from the hospital 10 days ago with my foot in a cast and non-weight bearing. I still dont have the knee scooter that my doctor ordered. They initially canceled my order because they were calling the wrong number. Then, they opened the order back up and still havent called me back. My foot is going to be healed by the time they get around to doing their job and processing my order.
Complete Incompetence! They gave me a new machine last year yet cannot send me the correct supplies. Keeps sending me supplies for my OLD machine. Ive called them and explained the situation 3 times They tell me they fixed it yet here come the wrong supplies AGAIN! 3 xs now. Charges my insurance like clockwork. They dont screw that up do they? This last time, the fourth, was it. Could not understand the young lady to begin with. Asked for another rep and it only got worse. She took an attitude with me right off the bat. I explained to her they had supplied me with a new machine last year and were repeatedly sending me the wrong supplies for it. She then asks me what it was exactly, I needed. Instead of telling her, I asked her if she knew what supplies came with my machine and she said no. THEY supplied me with a machine that THEY dont even know what supplies go with it! They never had to ask me that with my old machine. They sent the supplies for it like clockwork. Now it seems they have no idea whats what with their own equipment. Yet theyre efficient with billing my insurance. Ive since contacted my insurance provider and they are going to look in to it. Unbelievably incompetent. I shouldn’t have to work this hard to get the message through. Oh and I did explain, in detail what I needed last time around and they still sent the wrong stuff. Im not doing it again! APRIA Youre FIRED!
I have never experienced such incompetence in my entire life. They keep billing me in error when all of my bills should go through Care Centrix since I have Florida Blue Insurance. The person on the phone had no idea how to help me. I intend to find my equipment elsewhere. This company is a complete joke.

Apria is a horrific company to deal with. They have the most customer unfriendly approach to business. You want to call someone at this location? Call the local number and you will get through to the national call center who cant help you. Even if you are returning a call, back in queue for their massive call center somewhere in North America. You want help with your supplies? Good luck getting through those phone prompts. Youll have won the lottery to get a live person that can actually assist with your problem. Apria has set up set a web of red tape for customers to get through, that Im shocked they can even do business. Apria is a prime example of managed healthcare failing patients.

This company is horrible.When you call customer service, the time it takes to figure out what the person on the other end of the line is saying seems like a lifetime.Then you have to explain your self over and over because English is a like a game of pictionary for the blind.If you get lucky and get a person who is somewhat familiar with English, their knowledge of company policy and problem solving gets you transferred to yet another game playing blind partner and you have to start all over again to explain the problem or even just to get directions to the local branch. Whew, what a work out of your patience for sure. I laugh when they give the famous quote Thank you for being the best part of Apria.Yea right. Good luck all and take a zanax prior to ur call.
Apria healthcare is the Worst Possible. The people on the phone send you to the Phillipines, they cant find the orders. They always say you owe money even when you have met your deductible. Run away!

I use oxigen at night, do to hipoxia and copd. for the las 3 days try to contact them for them to give me a portable tank so i can take it to the shelter i a m going do to huriccane irma(i live in florida). they told me they are no way they can get me the equipment because they are to busy. tell me to go to nearst branch(an hour from here) to get it. trafic is so bad the it will take me 3 hrs to get there and maybe not be able to go back home. i am disable, 2 back surgery and total replacement of shoulder. so the other think i can do they said is to put my concentrator in my car. really? it weight like 100 pounds. this is the service and help i get from them. . the insurance that pay them told me they were supposee to contact me and suply me with the portable oxigen. they dobt care about my health and safety
Terrible! The most incompetent company I have ever had the displeasure of doing business with. Unfortunately I can not switch to another medical supply company for 2 more years or sooner if my Cpap unit is not repairable. My wife uses JC Medical and they are terrific, maybe I should give their number to Aprea.
Called me a few days ago to tell me to pick up my Auto-PAP today. Get there this morning and its not ready. I asked why they didnt call and they said they tried but had the wrong number. So, you had the RIGHT number to call me to pick it up but the WRONG number to call me to tell me it was delayed? I understand things happen and get delayed, but I dispise liars.
Absolutely useless are these people.I faxed my prescription over twice and they still dont have it.
OmG.. they left me stranded.. Im totally non weight bearing and going back to Georgia.. all orders were faxed from Shands Jax.. apria called my cell to confirm and process with insurance.. stated they would deliver to my room approx an hour.. 3hours later.. I call.. Cant find me in their system.. cost me another day in the hospital.. very disappointed

THEY ARE THE WORSE PLACE IVE EVER DELT WITH I would rate them a 0 if it was an option Today is 7/23/15 just left WORSE PLACE EVER. My mother was given the wheelchair in the hospital. Ive been calling for 2 weeks now to get an appointment set up for them to come get it, but no returned phone calls or anything so I decided to take the 45 min drive to take it back in person to the Philipps highway location.. The receptionist was absolutely rude and I told them that they could take it and shove it right up their *** and that this would be the last time any of my family members/friends use any of their equip. So then I called to report the receptionest and to tell a supervisor what had happened when I finally go thru and transferred to the philipps location, I began to explain what happened and she stated there was confusion between their company and another. I stated that sorry but thats not my problem, that someone should have called me. And that they needed to get their s*** together that Ive been ran around the bush the last week and 1/2 because they cant get their stuff together. The. She did the most disrespectful thing any business can do and that was to hang up on a costumer. Wont be long before they go out of business if thats their idea of customer care. They can take it and shove it.. There are plenty of other med equ places around the area.
Unfortunately, the service this office and the company in general provides is nothing short of horrendous. God help you if you call their office and expect to get a convenient appointment or a returned phone call, but they do mercifully allow the option of sitting in their waiting room, hoping to get lucky and have an RT waste your time instructing you how to use CPAP masks that dont work.They give you thirty days to try different masks if the first one provided doesnt work, but youre out of luck if they cant give you an appointment that fits your schedule within that period.Apparently, they dont understand that poor service is often more costly than treating patients right, as Im returning the CPAP machine they sold me. Good riddance. Avoid this company if you hate hassles, apathy, and incompetence in a healthcare provider, especially if youre busy.
There is no customer service! Was supposed to call with info on picking up medical device. Almost ran clock out on six month Medicare requirement. This would have required another visit to doctor. Total lack of customer service.
