Great place to go to for all your engine machine work done straight forward and honest people to work with I have had them do Machine work for me for over 20 years wouldnt go anywhere else
I had my 08 k20z3 head resurfaced with these guys and they did a pretty great job. My engine has very little tolerances and that added some complexity to the resurfacing, but they made me aware of the possible routes I would have to take and how much it would cost (upfront). They also cleaned my head and valves with a parts washer, which was great appreciated. If I am unfortunate enough to have a blown head gasket, I will definitely return to these guys.
Overpriced and dont care! This is the price and thats all! NEVER AGAIN!
PMI is the first name in machine work in this area for a reason. Good honest and precise work every time, even on obscure classic cars like mine.
Excellent helpful staff. Thank you!
I took a normal 350 Chevy block in. I advised it needed to be cleaned and magna-fluxed. I also had them remove the freeze plugs and other small stuff. I was advised to get this block ready to go, I was looking at 1078.00 to get it ready to assemble. The block had no core shift and it didn’t even need a line hone. Lesson learned!! Stay away!!!
Dropped off a tractor crank to be welded and ground because their website claimed they do that. They called me a few days later to tell me that they could not grind the crank because it had excessive wear and they no longer welded crankshafts. They charged me $75 to get my crankshaft back for cleaning and measuring it. Not sure if they don’t know what they’re doing or just didn’t want to deal with me. Wanted to spend my money locally, but I won’t be back.
Had a lot of work done by these guys about 4 years or so ago and they were good but just had a intake up there that needed planned and they ended up just cleaning and painting it and charging me a $150.00 on it. Then told me after I called to complain that they might not be able to even planne that size intake it is just off of a 99 dodge ram 1500 with 318 motor
Had them grind a crank for me last year out of a Chevy big block mark 4 motor. They have a very nice and well organized, well stocked shop with most every incidental that an engine builder could need on short notice available on hand. The work they did on my crank was very professional with good mirror surfaces and chamfered oil passages and all of the clearances were exactly as I had requested with no issues at all. I personally would have called to check with the customer before going 30 over on a crank just to be sure they would not rather opt for a replacement but I did not specify any range that was unacceptable to me so Ill live. Not like Im building a drag motor anyway. Definitely will return in the future, Ill be driving there on their work next time though.
Excellent service and craftsmanship to there work. Highly recommended for any motor rebuild.
