GREAT little diner with friendly staff, fair prices and good food. Clean, well maintained, classic Jersey Diner experience. Busy place, popular with locals, always a good sign. Parking lot is a little small. Easy to get to, very close to Liberty State Park. One of the more solid diners I’ve visited here in my home state. Recommended!

My needs are simple and few when it comes to diner dining. Food should be basic and in abundant quantities. Turkey should be OTB ( off the bone), not from a loaf. Potatoes- in whatever form- must be super crispy. Coffee, hot and fresh. And of course, there must be rice pudding. And so, when we happened upon this diner right near Liberty State Park and just a few minutes away from the Liberty Science Center, we were delighted. Breakfast is stellar: no chichis, no fancy airs- just good, simple food at great prices. The western omelette pictured had a ton of lean ham in it, and the diced onions and green peppers were still a little crispy- not all limp and over cooked as in most diner offerings. I love skimming my fork over the crunchy tops of the griddle fried potatoes and savoring those bits. The club sandwich is spectacular: fresh roast turkey breast, thick slices of meaty bacon, an abundance of fresh lettuce and tomato on white toast. Do yourself a favor and come to the Jersey shoreline and eat here. You will not regret it.

If you are looking for the best Diner in town, I recommend this Diner, today was my first time dinning there and i had a great time, the food and their Hospitality was amazing, the only thing I was surprised about, no soda refill, other than that, I would definitely go back.

This place is a hidden gem. Its located across a turn when going towards Liberty state park. Blink and youll miss it. Lovely food and friendly staff. Ill definitely visit this place again.

Typical diner with pretty typical food. Good quality, fast service, nice people. Awesome peanut butter cookies! Went on a Sunday and it was pretty busy, but they seated us within a few minutes.

Liberty diner is a classic, small format, family diner. Youll see the church groups, softball teams, and locals all enjoying their generous menu - mine is their Pastrami Rubin with steak cut fries. Its off the beaten track in a slightly industrial area, but also perfectly situated next to liberty state park. My wife and I love to swing by and grab a car picnic on a cold winter afternoon, drive to the park and watch the boats. And my respect to the wait staff and owner. You all do a wonderful job.

Always good food and lots of it and often enough to take home. Real good prices and service! Great owners! Have known them over 30 years since they had Rascal House in Bayonne! The windows are all painted for Halloween and fall ! Worth the trip. We always use the back highway to avoid the turnpike.😊

Awesome Place!! It was very busy when we got here but they still found us a table very quickly. Super friendly staff, our waitress was incredible and the whole team really worked well together clearing plates / refilling drinks. Very impressive considering how packed they were. This diner is so good! They serve breakfast all day, have fast, courteous service and are reasonably priced. The menu is huge, i challenge you to not find something to eat here. Its a really fun place too. The decor is very Liberty oriented with a small scale version of the lady in the house. This is a great photo opportunity and if not too busy, the staff will gladly help you take a family photo! Cant wait to visit again!

Kind of a dump. Had an urge to vomit after eating my omelet. My son was smarter than I as he chose not to eat any more than a quarter of his food. Provides refills for soft drinks but then charges you for each drink without telling you until you get your check. If you are visiting the park, this is not the place to go. This is more of an older restaurant that is meant for locals. On the plus side, the waitress was nice. She was the highlight of the visit. I would not return here.

Worst diner Ive ever been to. service was horrible and the owner literally berated his servers in front of us for being terrible. the one server messed up our order and we had to send it back. the second plate that came out was worse than the first. i wouldve sent it back again but i honestly just gave up. in the end, the owner insulted me as i was about to pay and made me truly regret ever setting foot in that place. it was my first and last time there. also, be wary of the menu. prices are not clear and you will not be happy when you see the bill.

People dont let the pictures of the diner and food fool you. This place is really small and old and outdated. We went there to try it out today . 1 employee working there, he did the phone, clean the tables, served and the cash register. The California burger deluxe was horrible. The burger was smaller than the bun, tomatoes was mushy, the coleslaw was green looking, the pickle was pale and looked sick. Dont wast your time coming here.

Liberty Park Cafe Diner: Service was fantastic. Dinner was delicious. Had children and they were treated kindly. We had a party of 10. Our waitresses were Andrea and Tara. surprisingly a mothers and daughter team. If you find yourself down Liberty State Park and need a bite to eat, stop in. You wont be disappointed!

Have been to the liberty Park diner once before but this time was fantastic! We had great service and Im not sure if it was the owner or not but the lady that was there took great care of us and showed a lot of interest into our autistic son. She colored with him and talk with him in a way he could understand. I hope that the same people are there next time when we come back.

Food was great and the prices super reasonable...just wish the tables were a bit larger. They definitely try to maximize the space here. The diner got very busy and the staff was very good at busing the tables and getting people seated as efficiently as possible.

Friendly staff. Great service. Food quality is lacking and the flavors weird. Hot turkey dinner: turkey tasted watered down, beef gravy not turkey gravy; mashed potatoes tasted lemony and stuffing was overly seasoned. Corned beef and cabbage was blanched, no flavor at all.

We stumbled into this out-of-the-way after a trip to the park with our baby. It was hoppin on a Saturday morning. Good food, friendly service, quaint, it has a kind of cozy community feeling, like most of the people there are regulars.

Not much parking. I ordered Chicken with pasta and vodka sauce. Sauce was good but the chicken was disgusting. I didnt eat any of it at all. When I told the waitress and saw that half my plate had gone uneaten, she took no action to remedy the situation.

Every time I come into town this is where I come to eat. The staff here remember you from the 1st time you visit and make you feel at home every time you return. Everything Ive tried off the menu is delicious. The split pea soup is the best in the country.

The food is disgusting, the management is rude and the environment itself is decrepid. I ordered the special baked mac and cheese and got a sad mac and cheese that looked like it was cooked in the microwave with fake cheese. When I sent it back and ordered something else the manager was rude and refused to take it off my bill, despite me having not even touched it and ordering something else. Needless to say I will never be returning, they will not be receiving my business. I regret ever having gone.

Sort of like a New York themed Diner, unlimited coffee refills, thick slabs of burgers, statue of liberty everywhere, america. We asked our waitress what the difference between a burger and a Californian burger was and she told us it was onions.

Only diner we could find that was open at 5 am as we waited for Liberty Park to open. Good coffee. Bathrooms are for costumers only. Quiet small town diner.
