Quick inspection and really nice staff! I was able to make an appointment and the safety inspection took about an hour and a half! Brought a good book in the comfy waiting area and it was done before I knew it.

Larry and the crew at Mr. Tire in La Plata, Md are always courteous, professional, and knowledgeable. Like all businesses they do try to up sell additional services but don’t use any strong arm tactics or doom and gloom scenarios. My car was done ahead of schedule and all electronic monitors were reset. (Always a nice touch that saves me from digging into the manual.)

I went in to get a estimate on 3 flush services that the dealership recommended that I get. Its been a few years since Ive had it done but it was higher than I expected so I decided to check around this time (Property taxes are due in September) and get other estimates. Amazing how 1/8 of a mile makes a big difference, $63 between two businesses in La Plata and $164 diffetence from dealership in Brandywine to La Plata. I always go to Mr. Tire for certain repairs. I had a mishap with my transmission. My car wasnt shifting properly so I urgently brought it to them. They fixed my car in a days time. I will always go back to the Mr. Tire in La plata. Also, the staff is excellent.

Had my daughters car taken in to have tires replaced, and ended up with new rear brakes, a break flush and new valve stems on all 4 tires!! GREAT!! Just what I needed literally, see the car is used and needed the work done anyway. They could have just installed my tires and stems and sent me on my way. Instead they got it all done as promised by Zena at the front desk . She made sure that not only were the tires done but all else as well, and offered her time to stay after closing to ensure that I was able get my vehicle and not have to wait until the next day. (Commitment much) Drives great thanks to Zena and all the techs behind the scenes!! :)

I DO NOT RECOMMEND MR TIRE TO ANYONE. DONT BELIEVE MY REVIEW? GO AND SEE FOR YOURSELF. On 05/03/2021 went to have new tires and rims installed on my vehicle and my old tire pressure monitoring systems installed on the new tires. On my way home my vehicle tire pressure system showed that their were no tire pressure monitoring systems on my new tires. I went back on 05/04/2021 and advised one of the employees that the mechanic did not install any tire pressure monitoring systems on my new tires. She said that she would have a mechanic look at it. The mechanic that was looking at it came to me and said he didnt know how to fix the issue. Another mechanic told me that they dont know what happened to my old sensors if they were thrown away or not. I asked them since the mistake their mechanic made on my install if they could buy me a set of tpms and pay for the install to correct the mistake. The mechanic said no that I would have to pay for the tpms and for the install of them. At that point the mechanic became very aggressive, very disrespectful, rude and started arguing with me and said the mechanic did not mess up. Last time I checked stores and their employees still have to wear a mask. None of the employees were wearing a mask or face covering when i walked in nor while they were speaking to me or other customers. Going to proper channels to inform them about the employees violating covid restrictions within the business. I contacted Mr tire headquarters and after around an hour a person called me. That lady from Mr tire headquarters (Monro) was just as aggressive, very disrespectful, rude and started arguing with me as well and stated that they were not going to look into this matter and refused to let me speak with someone else or a supervisor. The install was not completed again and I dont have my old tire pressure monitoring systems. WILL NEVER USE MR. TIRE AGAIN. I DO NOT RECOMMEND MR TIRE TO ANYONE.

Super sorry about coming in for an oil change almost an hour before close, AND had a stuck oil drain plug, but everyone was super awesome and got it done. Very quick, friendly and GOOD at what they do.

Mr. Tire Auto Service Centers in LAPLATA, MD almost took me out yesterday 3/13/21. You pride yourselves on safety but Safety wasn’t the priority today when your manager at the Laplata, MD location tried to SCAM me on repairs and put my life at risk!!!! Cops were called and YOUR MANAGER refused to cooperate!!! This supposedly experienced manager kept my car for 7 hours to do a break and rotor change, oil change and replace ALL four tires. Overcharged me AND allowed me to drive off KNOWING he damaged my car. I immediately came back within 3 minutes and ALMOST RAN INTO YOUR BUILDING because my BREAKS DIDNT WORK!!! Your manager could BARELY open the building door to get out I WAS THAT CLOSE/ he knowingly put my life at risk. I WILL BE SEEKING LEGAL ACTION !!! Not to mention when I called the cops, YOUR MANAGER dropped my keys on my car and told me to GET OFF THE PROPERTY. Even the cop was stunned by this behavior.The manager goes inside the building and LOCKS THE DOOR!!! When I told him the police department wanted to know his name, he yells through the door that he was NOT opening it and that the officer can get his name when he got there...Which he STILL refused to do when they got there.My car has to be left there because it wouldn’t START and They now have to figure out the damages they’ve done.I knew something was wrong when it took HOURS to change tires, do an oil change and replace brakes and rotors. The time was really spent covering up damages done to my vehicle.I will publicly keep an update to this situation as to ensure there will be no further damage done as retaliation.I was told my car will be fixed tomorrow by the cop since your manager REFUSED to speak with me after he was called out for trying to get over on me and after I asked for a refund, so I fully expect to drive my car home WITH NO DAMAGES as it had none prior to coming to your shop!!!UPDATE - 3/14/21: They’ve been open since 9am, it is now 12:30pm and I have YET to be called with an update on my car and the damages they’ve done. NOT GOOD!!!!

I recently purchased a vehicle in VA and needed the MD car inspection. This is new to me as I am from GA and havent purchased a vehicle here. I called Mr. Tire, spoke with Seth and he got my vehicle in the same day. I had been at work that day since very early morning and planned to leave early. Not only did they get my vehicle in quickly but they had my vehicle ready well before time for me to leave work. Since I am unfamiliar with the inspection process and obviously had questions they went one step further. They scanned and emailed the inspection results to make it easier for me to send to our dealership.I highly recommend Mr Tire, extremely courteous and professional as well as prompt service.

I have dealt with Mr Tires for many years. I have even dealt with them as a supervisor of 13 state fleets. I have never felt so disappointing in Mr. Tire staff until 9/2020 with one of my personal vehicle. I made an appointment to take my vehicle in for oil change and tire rotation about a week before taking the vehicle in, 10 minutes of that day I receive a phone call to say they would have to cancel and reschedule my appointment. With the understanding of them being back up, we (James) staff and I reschedule the next week for appointment. On this day when I took my vehicle in I had to wait about an hour before they took my vehicle to the back of shop, keeping in mind I had an appointment time on that date. The services gentlemen (James) came in lobby and said I would need a new air filter, I ask the price and was told more than I wanted to pay, He said you can put it on your good year card, I stated no please just change my oil, check my fluids and rotate my tires,(which I had mark F&B) When I left I notice a hesitation in my vehicle, even when I got to the traffic light I had to keep my feet on brake and little gas to keep running or it would shut down. When I got the vehicle home I look at my tires and notice the tires had not being rotated. I immediately call Mr Tire and spoke to (Jimbo) to say for some reason there is a hesitation in my vehicle that was not there before bringing my vehicle in and my tires where not rotated as I had ask for them to be done. (Jimbo) ask me to bring the vehicle back in for rotation in a couple days.The day of taken the vehicle back to Mr Tire, I stop to purchase a air filter and had it put in and when doing so I notice the air filter hose was not placed back on, beside the repair purchaser indicated that I did not need a new air filter. Once I arrived at Mr Tire I told this to the lady at the customer service desk and again to (Kristen) at Mr Tire main headquarters whom indicated someone will get back with me to file a complain against Mr. Tire.Tanisha, from Mr Tire headquarter did contact to take information a couple weeks later and have not heard back from anyone since 9/18/2020.

Unethical. Be careful because if you have a coupon, get your balance due first because they’ll change up your totals to compensate for the “loss”.

I have been going to this location for numerous oil changes for my previous car and my new car. The staff is always professional and super helpful. I have never had any issues or problems. They give me a fair price and never try to get me to do anything more than what I am willing to do (unlike other locations). I highly recommend coming to this location. Every time Ive been to Mr. Tire they have been phenomenal. Today I went in for help inflating a troublesome lawnmower tire, and it took about 30 seconds for them to offer to try and help for free. Wonderful group of people that works here, Ill be going back to them for sure.

I will NEVER return here. They tried to tell me I need something that I didnt, And said it was broken. Its not because I just had it replaced. Then they told me one price over the phone and when i picked up my vehicle it was a different estimate. And they charged me to look at it sense I didnt want what they tried to sell me. And end up paying the same price of what I went in there to originally have done! And end up getting nothing done! And kept my vehicle for nothing!!!

The people here are more like your friends than just people behind the counter. They don’t try to up-sale you and are honest in their dealings. They’re also very understanding when you make an appointment and forget you even had wheel locks much less where the key was kept. I’ll definitely keep going here as long as I continue to live in this area.

Mechanic tries to fool customers.

Some bad luck had me bring two cars in to fix leaking tires in the past week. Both were fixed up quickly and (thanks to road hazard insurance) for no charge.

We use Mr. Tire all the time. They are quick, efficient, and friendly. Seth, Eric, and Jimbo make sure each customer is taken care of and they always go above and beyond! 5 Stars all around!

Been visiting this local tire shop for years. I typically do all my own maintenance and repair, but for things I lack the tools for (like tires and alignments), or when a repair is needed quickly and I lack the time or Im out of town, we frequently go here. The guys in the shop and at the desk have always been polite and helpful. Never once have I felt like I or my wife were being pressed into buying anything that wasnt needed. These guys took care of my wife when she had a blowout and I was out of town, and the tires they recommended were perfect for my wifes needs. This tends to be something that I research a lot, so I was happy they steered her well when I wasnt available to help. They have fixed corrosion on a set of wheels I dropped off for tires, rather than just mounting them and letting them leak, spot checked stuff for me while the vehicle was on the lift for something else, got some springs mounted on a set of replacement struts for me when the tool I rented couldnt cut it.. There are only 3 places that Im comfortable leaving my vehicles to be worked on, and this is one of them. Definitely recommend.

I caught a flat in LaPlata and called Mr. Tire to inform them that I was requesting that my car is towed to their location to get the tire fixed. The response was immediate and cordial. When I arrived, I was met outside at the tow truck and taken care of immediately. The place was organized. The service and waiting area near. I am grateful for the great service and convenient location. if this were near home, this would become a go to.

Absolutely the best tire shop in southern Maryland. Scott and his team are fantastic, professional, reliable and they have the best prices on tires and they stand behind their work. Today I walked in to the MR. Tire in La Plata assuming I had an appointment but somehow that was not the case. My experience was not dampened though. The friendly staff was very accommodating and was able to get me in pretty much right away. The suggested wait time was spot on and I really appreciated it. I was able to wait for my vehicle. I also enjoyed the fact that the technician came to lobby and informed about what was going on with my vehicle. All around good experience and I already know Ill be back.

Took my SUV on time. Service was quick, my oil change and tire rotation completed within a very timely manner. Personnel at the front desk are always in a great mood and greet you with a smile. I had an expected tire issue and a deadline to meet. Jimbo and Scott got me in last minute for 4 new tires and brake work. Even more impressive when you consider it was the weekend. The check engine light on my Jeep Grand Cherokee came on, I took it to Auto Zone in LaPlata, who could not check it out because of Covid. Called Waldorf Darcars, where I bought the car brand new. The person I spoke to on the phone said to bring it in. I asked if I needed an appointment, and she replied No, just bring it in. When I got to the service department, the man in charge greeted me, without a mask, and told me I could just drop it off! for a couple of days, and don’t I want to have what’s wrong fixed. I told him no, I wanted to find out what was wrong, and they said they couldn’t do it, they were too busy. When I said I called and the woman I spoke to said they could do it, they said I must have called the wrong number. When I showed them it was their number, they just said, can’t do it. Made an appointment at Mr Tire in LaPlata with Angie, and told her I’ve been driving around for a week with the check engine light on. I came for my appointment and Eric quickly figured out it was a code in the amplifier of the radio. And it was no cost! I highly recommend them, they seem to be honest people in a time when many aren’t, especially if you are a woman. Will definitely be returning and huge shout out to Angie and Eric, they made my day!🤗🤗🤗
