Car shopping is akin to a near death experience for me typically but here at Bob Rohrman I had the best more pleasurable experience ever. Alex and Taylor are the most fabulous sales people I have ever worked with. Since I live 2.5 hours away most of the buying process was completed via text or online. I was in and out of the dealership in less than an hour. Taylor also recommended the best place for lunch. I highly recommend coming g here to buy your new or used vehicle. If I ever need a new car again I would repeat this experience with this dealership.

So I got a brand new 2021 Subaru Ascent that I loved and waited to have since my car was totaled. I signed the papers and realized that I had significantly less income this year than I thought and I communicated it to my salesperson and she went to the loan officer I thought and said I still didnt need a cosigner. (I brought a cosigner anyway because I thought my credit score was low) they said oh no worry, it is fine and I signed the papers. Then my paystub was wrong and I needed to send a new one. Then the loan officer said I actually didnt meet the banks qualifications for a loan and then needed the cosigner. I said ok then I asked for the new loan agreement to be sent in the mail. He then emails me days later that oh can I just come in? And I asked yet again to send it in the mail. This has been a horrible experience and Im not happy. I have had my credit screened multiple times.

Last month I called in search of a used Outback in a specific price range. Noah called me later that day to say he had one on the lot I could look at. That evening I drove that car home. I will definitely work with Noah when it comes time to get my next Subaru. He was very attentive to my needs and helped me get the right car for me and my family.

Outrageous. Dishonest. Will never consider taking our business to this dealership for any reason. Disappointed I cant give less than 1 star. Our Subaru was diagnosed as having a blown head gasket and repairs would cost more than $5200. This estimate included items in addition to the head gasket that were completely unnecessary. Coincidentally, $5200 happened to also be the approximate value of the car and the dealership was more than happy to do the repairs and take the car off our hands. We got a second opinion and got the car fixed for less than $500. BTW, the head gasket was not blown. A fuse and a fan needed to be replaced. The car is now running perfectly.

I travel the country for work and have been to a lot of Subaru dealerships for my cars maintenance. The experience was painless and I was out within an hour for an oil change, tire rotation and other bits for the 18000 mile maintenance. Although I wont be in Ft Wayne long enough to come again, I definitely would.

I would give 0 or take away the starts if I could. Just very unfortunate that Fort Wayne area only has this one Subaru dealership around, they have ridiculously poor service, dishonest people, very shameful for Subaru brand. You would be better off finding someone else to service your car.

I would put 0 stars if it was an option. Weve had nothing but issues with them since Ive purchased the vehicle. They screwed up the paperwork when sending the title work to the bank and refused to take their calls or call the bank back. Bank contacted us to try to get ahold of them to resolve this. Dealership was completely rude to me and my boyfriend had to end up calling them. That was eventually fixed, but then a few weeks later another problem arose. Now we got the title app and the purchase date is incorrect. Cant get our plates due to this. Titling department was contacted 4 days after many failed attempts. They told us it would be fixed within 48 hours. Our paper expires in 2 days and theyre now telling us they cant issue us a new paper plate even this was all their fault. Please take your business elsewhere if looking for a new car. It is not worth the headache. I will add on that our salesman Jeff was great to work with.

My encounter with Bob Rohrman Subaru in Lafayette, IN began today when our 2015 Outback experienced some bad news on our trip from Indianapolis to Door County Wisconsin. We were taking our kayaks north for the summer when one of the crossbars holding the kayak carriers snapped on I-65 about 15 miles north of Lafayette. While I was trying to secure the kayaks my wife called the dealership asking if they might be able to help fix the crossbar allowing us to get back on the road. No promises were made other than we will see what we can do. We limped back to Lafayette and met with people in the service department. After confirming they had no replacement crossbars in stock they went to work and solved my problem. They suggested a rental of an almost new Ascent at the minimal price of $35 per day. They then installed the crossbars for this vehicle enabling me to secure the kayaks. At every step of the way everyone we came into contact with was pleasant, helpful and exhibited extraordinary customer service. My only regret is that they are located in Lafayette while I live just north of Indy. I cant thank them all enough for enabling us to find a way to continue our trip. We left our car at the dealership and when we return a new crossbar will have been ordered and installed. In addition they will have changed the oil and done an inspection. Auto dealers have developed a suspect reputation over the years but this certainly doesnt apply to Bob Rohrman Subaru. They are true professionals and the entire organization knows the importance of customer service with a positive attitude. THANK YOU BOB ROHRMAN SUBARU OF LAFAYETTE!

The only reason I’m giving this two stars is because of Judith and Laura. They were both kind and quick to communicate. They answered my multitude of questions and anything they didn’t know they would find out and call me back right away. Those two ladies are wonderful. Where it went bad - I was driving straight from work to BRS (a 2+ hour drive) on a Saturday and had moved things around to accomplish getting there. I told them I got off at noon and made a 3:00 appt. Bobby had sent a confirmation text around 1:30 p.m. and I verified we would be there. Around 2:15 p.m. my husband asked me to pull the vehicle up so he could “study” it before we arrived. That’s when he noticed the car was no longer listed, which we found odd. So he called, mind you 30 minutes away from the dealership and 2 hours away from home, and they stated the vehicle had sold that morning. They knew we were on our way for that particular vehicle and weren’t even going to call us to tell us they sold it! So we turned around and needless to say I will not give this dealership my business nor will I recommend them. That’s just dishonest business and horrible customer service.

Been trying to get a service recall done for the Takata airbags so they dont shred my face. Also been trying to get in touch and set up a service appointment since Sept. 10th, as I am frankly getting sick of the harrassment via phone and mail (someone even left a recall notice on my car at night - can you say creepy?) It is now October 8th, and after being fed promises of a phone call back, and promises of an email response (so I can keep record of this mess in writing) I have yet to hear anything back.Well tell you we care by sending papers in the mail, but when it comes to actually preventing you from being killed by your airbag, theres not anything we can doPretty much sums up my experience, with Bob Rohrman Subaru.

Offered me 500$ for my 2007 civic with remote start and beautiful condition that drives just fine with brand new Goodyear tires on it really wanted a car they had but after that I will avoid all bob rohrman owned dealerships from here on out. Very satisfied! We drove here from 4 hours away for a 3.6r Outback. Prior to heading down, we called and spoke to a salesperson. We were able to agree on a fair price over the phone and they confirmed that they would pull the car off the lot and have it ready for us.The whole process was pretty smooth and streamlined. Our salesman Addison was personable and very helpful. The only issue we brought up was the vehicle hadn’t been detailed as good as we are used to. It was promptly addressed and corrected without any hesitation! I will say the process was kind of slow and there was ample downtime, but with COVID and a limited staff that is understandable.I would definitely recommend, as the prices were fair and the sales team was very accommodating . It sounds like they get a lot of customers from outside the area so if your thinking about doing it, do your homework and call first. It’s worth the trip.

Buyer beware! My son bought a car here a week and a half ago. The check engine light came on yesterday. He was told today that he had to bring it in and pay $130 for a diagnostic test. He purchased the extended warranty but apparently that doesn’t kick in for 30 days. Now no one will return his phone calls. Under no circumstances should he have to pay to have a vehicle he just purchased tested. They should be telling him to bring the vehicle back asap so they can fix the problem. For free!

Trade in buyer beware. Their website offered me exact trade in value that was on KBB. They offered me almost $3000 less than what was on their website. Dont waste your time if wanting to trade. They will probably say its my fault for owning a 2wd truck, but come on. Dont play games with offering a value on your website, then play dumb about it.

I *really* wanted to give a more positive review, but the frustrations keep piling up. I’ll start with the good.I went to BRS looking at a Legacy that had just arrived, and Addison was very honest about it having an after market muffler that was super loud. So we went on a hunt for other cars available. I’d driven up from Whitestown to see it and didn’t want to go back empty handed.We found a 2016 Jetta that, by and large seemed like a good car and drove well and had some cool features I liked. They changed out the brake pads and rotors after I noticed they felt a bit worn down. It seemed okay for a couple days but in general the brakes aren’t as responsive as I thought they would be post repair.There are also some technical issues mostly related to the former owner having some kind of soda explosion. Buttons would either stick partially or not move at all, buttons on both the media center and the thermostat. Everything sticks. Additionally, the CarPlay feature is inconsistent at best despite using a new cord. Far too often, the whole radio just turns off - while I’m driving, often leaving me without direction access. For this being one of the selling points of the car, I’m really disappointed in how little attention seems to have been paid to it on the dealer side.Finally, there are the plate issues. My temps expired 2 days ago, and I was supposed to get an update from their finance department. No word today, and their titling clerk is off site. So now I’m left feeling anxious that I can’t drive my car without being pulled over.Like I said. By and large my experience with BRS was initially really good. Especially Addison who took the time to drive my car to me after they did the brake repairs. But since having it delivered, the issues have felt consistent.Final takeaway: Addison was great and I won’t/can’t fault him for my experience. As for BRS- check all the buttons, test drive for a good chunk of time before saying yes, and don’t sign anything until you know they’re gonna sell you a car you’re happy with. And don’t travel over an hour to a dealership unless you have to.Yes, I know I got a VW from a Subaru dealership. Yes, I recognize my own naïveté at buying a car that had literally just arrived on their lot. Still, with all these 5-star reviews, I know BRS can get it right. I just hope they decide to do so with me *shrug*UPDATE: They got back to my and I’ve got a loaner while they take a look over the car. I’ve been able to get my plates. And overall I’m feeling a lot better about this experience. We shall see what happens with the VW.Conclusion: all the mechanical issues are fine and they’ve given me a referral to a VW dealership to take care of the electronic issues. Some communication hiccups here and there, but these guys gave best effort. I’ll give them that.

I had an outstanding experience buying my 2017 Honda CRV EX last week. I shopped for a while and found the best deal at Rohrman and sent them an email offer and within 10 minutes I received a call and closed the deal with one additional call ... well below suggested list price. Justin was very responsive and professional. I bought the car on Weds. and picked it up on Friday afternoon (drove to get it from indianapolis). All paperwork was ready and I was in and out of the dealer in 30 minutes. A great experience. I recommend Justin and the finance person highly.

Highly dishonest dealership. They have been dishonest with my parents on 3 seperate occasions. The first two occasions were when attempting to purchase a vehicle, the final occasion was bringing a vehicle in for service. So theyre crooked from the sales department all the way to the service department.If you had a good experience, check again, you likely got taken to the cleaners too, but didnt realize it.

I was greeted at the door by April who had the cars pulled up in front with temporary plate ready to go. This experience was far the worst I have had. I will say that the staff checking in my vehicle was nothing less than professional. I opted to sit in the waiting area and it was previously filled with at least self contained snacks. This time during the wait I observed several of your team that wore their masks with their nose out. Why bother with a mask?Cleaning supplies for the well-used area would gave been nice.The car itself and its battery problem is less than satisfactory. My 2017 vehicle has had to be jumped started more in less than a year than 4 older cars i have in my driveway for all the years. When the battery runs down, the power trunk button does not work. The seats have to be opened from the trunk that does not open. No key to manually open trunk with jumper cables. Jumper cables need to stay in back seat in case battery decides not to work. New battery installed in Feb 2020, and it needed charging...that was the problem after 2 hours of waiting. Power windows not working with low charge battery. Why foes this not self charge whole operating? Expensive vehicle to have such defects and to wonder when the next time this battery may run down and need another charge.Bad overall design!

Hey Everyone, I am all about sharing the love and I love Subaru but I have to let you know about the experience I had when trying to sell my 2016 Subaru Forester XT Turbo Charge (in good condition mind you)... They said that my car estimated at $16,500. When I went to the dealership at Bob Rhorman Subaru an associate (I wont mention his name) Was very rude. He told me my car was only worth $12,000. I cant say I am surprised but I know that they are sending out a lot of promotions that are misleading for the share the love event. I do like that they support local organizations Like NICHES Land Trust. But this kind of marketing is terrible and should not be tolerated. I do have to say that Nathan the sales manager was very helpful when dealing with their disgruntled employee. I hope all the best for them all. My main problem was that I received in writing word that this Suburu recallrepair would take one hour, so obviously I organized my day around that. I received several emails reminding me of the appointment but none of them mentioned that it would be a 4-hour job. It wasnt till I arrived at Rohrmans that I was told it would be a 4-hour job. They did provide me with a loaner vehicle, which lessened but did not eliminate, the inconvenience.

UNSATISFACTORY EXPERIENCE. Always had a terrible experience with service at this location. I asked them to look into a few, additional issues while getting my oil changed (including my visor squeaking). They said they couldn’t do anything about it (it was a new car with these items falling under warranty). Instead, they just left greasy hand stains on the visor and steering wheel. Recently with COVID19, many Subaru locations are offering complementary home pickup and dropoff for vehicles to be serviced. We asked about this over the phone and scheduled a pickup. After not hearing back from them (past the appointed time), we called the service center, and they explained they do not do this service. They then proceeded to explain how the service works with the use of a dropbox. However, none of this information was relayed to us when we were making the appointment. This happened for two vehicles we were planning to get serviced so they had multiple opportunities to clarify the situation but they did not do so until the very end. Needless to say, we will not be using this service center again, and we will highly recommend others to not do so either.

Courteous staff overall. Welcoming atmosphere. Salesman Jeff was a genuinely nice guy who was transparent in the sales process. Tried for about a week to get my hands on a certified legacy 3.6r stock #3067PP. Was disappointed that car pictured didn’t match up to the car on the lot. Cosmetic defects like 2/4 rims being moderately curbed/covered in melted plastic & the inside windshield wrap damaged beyond the point of repair were missed or ignored by the sales/technician staff until I brought them up myself. The assistant GM offered to buff the rims and give $500 to make the windshield wrap my problem which may be a good deal to some, seemed like a lose-lose situation to me. Makes you wonder though- if obvious cosmetic defects like these can be totally missed by bob Rohrman Subaru professionals, how can you trust them to properly perform a “152-point Subaru certified inspection”. I’ll certainly be getting a third party inspection before purchasing any used/CPO vehicle from Rohrman in the future, please do yourself a favor and get one too.

Had a great experience with our salesman Robert Ramirez. Got a very nice car. The Finance gut Avery pushed us out the door because it was closing time and really didnt do a good job. The sales tax collected was wrong. He was extremely defensive when asking questions about the documents on the purchase day.The main problem is, we can not get any paperwork to get our license plates. My daughter and I have made calls, sent documents and still have a car with an expired temporary tag. Our calls go unanswered and we get empty promises. We have spoken with the Team leader Derek Fisher, our salesman and the Title person Brenda.We need to be able to drive this car. My daughter is getting ready to make a trip and is already making her payments. Wait is what youll do for service. I wouldnt buy a go cart here. Lets make it clear for the owner...you buy a package with a new or used car for maintenance and detailing. They send the car somewhere else for detailing, tell you it will be ready at a certain time, and its still not back FOUR hours later, Oh, and you Joshin me leaves at 5 so you aint gonna get ta talk to him like when he sell you dat car and promise you all kinda stuff.

We took my girlfriends car in for a recall and alignment. After dropping it off she received a text saying she they couldnt align it. I gave them a call and they told me the following:We cannot align your car becauseThe sway bar links are rattling (This does not affect the ability to align the car.)The tie rods are rusty. ( They wanted around $150 per tie rod and two hours labor to install each one. I had just installed struts on the car so i knew they were not rusty. I understand OEM parts costing more but the name brand aftermarket was $30 each. I brought the car home and lifted it up and was able to move and adjust both tie rods without an issue. The were not lose or worn in any fashion and I had the car aligned at another shop without an issue.?They also told us our brake fluid was bad and needed flushed. (I had just installed new calipers and brakes on this vehicle and had flushed the fluid so it was new.)They said the spark plugs needed replaced. (I had replaced the spark plugs about 10,000 miles ago.They also said the differential fluids were in bad shape and needed changed. (I had just changed the fluid in both differentials about 10,000 miles ago and its was nice and clean.)They also recommended air filters which I understand the recommendation however these were not bad either. I send my girlfriend there because I had hoped that we could get proper service however they told us they couldnt do the alignment which was a lie and then tried to force sale $1,400 worth of items that the vehicle didnt need.

I had Marty as a salesman. He forgot to schedule a tow kit install not once but twice. I had to call in repeatedly to get it scheduled. I just purchased a $45,000 automobile from you the least you could do is follow through with what you committed on. Upon finally getting the tow kit installed I was left a gift in my backseat. Parts to my own vehicle that were not reinstalled after the tow kit installation. Had I not noticed the combi light covers sitting in the back seat I would have had a water leak. Soaking the interior of my brand new vehicle. I went to Rohrman because it was local next time when I purchase a new vehicle Ill be going to Tom Wood. Better service and at least they check and make sure extra parts are not lying around in the car.

I drove an hour to their dealership because they were able to provide a better price than my local dealership.To my surprise when I showed up at the dealership, everything that Shane had told me on the phone was accurate. I had a very positive experience recently at Bob Rohrman Subaru. Salesman Marty leased us our car a few months ago and we are very impressed by his knowledge and professionalism. When we took the car in for its first service this weekend he was there to answer all of our questions. I am giving him 5 stars out of 5. His general manager Brad also went out of his way to help, from personally mopping up spilled coffee in the waiting room for us to helping us set up an appointment under our driver care policy to take care of some scratches and dents.5 stars out of 5 for Brad too! We were made to feel very much at home and were very impressed by the modern clean waiting room and restrooms and the friendliness and helpfulness of all of the staff.

Overall, good experience. I dropped my car off at 9:30 am and got it back around 2:30 pm. Staff kept me informed of the diagnosis and repairs being made. The service team did a nice job of taking advantage of coupons and service specials to knock a few bucks off the total price, so I appreciate that...My only feedback is that I wish everything was a little faster, but Bob Rohrman Subaru has always taken care of my cars when they needed it, so I’ll keep going to them as long as I own a Subaru.

Just had both my vehicles serviced here and I was in and out very promptly for what was done. I have had times where I had to wait 2 and a half hours for an oil change and tire replacement for one tire, but it almost feels like there is a cultural change going on at Bob Rohrman Subaru. Every staff member I encountered was very polite, and the waiting area is very comfortable. My son was definitely entertained by the play area which was a big deal for us, and it was very clean and safe. Keep up the good work and you will continue to have my business!

Not very pleased with there privacy of your information. I receive many spamming emails a week from them, stating my car needs repair. These emails are not addressed to me. I have emailed the dealership and called to explain these messages arent me. They claim to have fixed the problem. Im still getting messages for different people.

The service department is the most fraudulent business I’ve ever seen. 100 for an oil change, before this they texted me and asked for a air filter change and wanted 55 bucks. It says on a massive sticker that it’s reusable and to not throw away. 1100 for a full service that includes free services they have plus 200 for parts and 200 for labor elsewhere.

Before coming to Bob Rohrman Subaru, I visited another dealership looking at the same make/model of car. Neither dealerships specialize in MINI Coopers but Marvin at Rohrman Subaru showed product awareness that was lacking in my prior encounter. I did not feel like I was interacting with a “salesman” but in contrast a guide. Rohrman Subaru employs exceptional personnel that made the experience hospitable rather than simply a business transaction.

My Forester was serviced and I presume correctly and they patched the right rear tire that I had been experiencing a slow leak from over a few weeks. What ruins the experience is when I had my car returned to me there drivers door was smeared in grease or dirty oil in a huge spot where the elbow of the person who was in it.

Just as we were heading out of town for a trip, we noticed that we had a tire with low pressure and a bulge. Rohrman Subaru made time to get our tire fixed that day and treated us like it was not a big deal. The service staff both at the desk and in the shop were pleasant, professional and efficient. I had a great experience leasing my new Forester. Shane was balancing several other guest while also helping me. He gave me numbers to consider and got everything started as soon as he could. Living an hour away made some of the process difficult, but Shane got everything done so quickly. Both him and Brad gave me a great deal and helped me regain my trust in them. I was alarmed that the staff at the service desk were not wearing masks to protect customers. There was also one customer not wearing a mask. Also, there is a pen on a chain for people to use to sign their name. I didnt use it. Instead, I got the pen from my purse to sign the document. I expected better from you guys!! Also you left the plastic and paper in my car for me to dispose.

I dropped my vehicle off for a recall service early in the morning. I picked up my vehicle in the afternoon. Initially, there were no issues. I live about 25 minutes from the dealership and as I was almost home, I tried rolling down my window. It didnt work. It seems as if when the tech was working on my car, somehow they disabled my windows. I called them as soon as I got home and was told to bring my vehicle back in. Again, Im not very close to the shop and it was a hassle getting back in there. Isnt there some kind of checklist to make sure that everything works BEFORE you give the car back to the customer?

I had oil change today and was shocked to find out that NONE of the Subaru employees wears facemask to protect customers or themselves. While most customers may stay until the needed service is done, it is highly possible that we can be exposed to covid-19 and get sick. Our community cannot recover from the ongoing economic disaster WITHOUT regaining our health first. This could be the reason why there are still so many confirmed cases in Lafayette. Be responsible! BTW, Toris service is great and professional.

I recently purchased a used truck from here and Zach Nigh was my salesman. I live almost 3 hours from the dealership and wanted some additional pictures and info on the truck before I drove there to get it. Had basic vehicle service (oil change, tire rotation). Service performed in a timely manner and also received a complimentary car wash. Service Advisors were courteous. Overall, a pleasant experience.One suggestion to consider please...please consider offering oil changes at 8:00am like you used to do. My husband and I went to look at a used vehicle listed at approx $7,600. We we’re given an appointment with Marty. If you are ever given an appointment with Marty, please do yourself a favor and run. When we got to Subaru, the staff was friendly and they pages Marty....and after a few minutes, paged him again. After waiting for quite some time for Marty, the woman at the desk spoke to the manager who apologized for the delay and eventually found Josh “another product specialist” to help. We test drive the vehicle and it handled well with no major engine issues we could discern from the short drive. We were concerned about multiple chips in front windshield (one of which was starting to splinter in front of the driver), the rear motors for the windows were going bad (barely got the windows to close), the drivers side mirror had wavy glass in it to make it look like you’re looking in a fun-house mirror, and although the tires were stated as “new” and pressure checked less than a month ago the light for a low tire was on. We got back to speak with josh about the issues but were escorted to Marty. Marty didn’t care to introduce himself, shake our hands, or call us by our names. He immediately started asking if we wanted the car. When given our concerns his response (after being gone for 20 minutes) was we will give you $300 off of the $7600 and with taxes and fees your final bill will be $8900. Wait. WHAT. $900 for paperwork and processing. $300 off for all those safety concerns and not to mention 2 window motors. My husband was trying to determine why the up charge for paperwork and processing but when I said I wasn’t comfortable with that he simply said “well then the processing and paperwork doesn’t matter. Thanks for coming in”. I don’t care for car salesmen, but he was by FAR my worst experience. The disrespect to not even SHAKE OUR HANDS or use our names after waiting around for you. He obviously couldn’t be bother by us peasants. I won’t be purchasing any cars ever from this line of dealerships.

Everyone was friendly. Told them about my driver window power button, didnt get fixed. Wanted a wash after service was complete, I did not get one. And with your 15,000 mile service, you are supposed to get your air filter changed, did not get this either. But, they did give me my car back within the One and and half hour time they told me. It was a pleasure buying my car. The sales person April really worked with me.Wanted to update this review. Sales staff was great, service staff not so much. Texted and emailed my problem 24 hours later still no response to an issue. Service staff didn’t know how to help me turn up the volume on an incoming phone call. Couldn’t get someone to just help me look at the settings to see if they were adjusted correctly.
