The experience was amazing. We werent rushed at all and never felt like we were pushed or hovered over. The salesman Austin was fabulous. He was very cordial and jovial. He was up front and honest about another car we were looking at and suggested not getting one that was the same price as what we bought because it wasnt a good fit for us. The manager came out and personally talked with us and worked to get us an absolutely phenomenal deal. Super friendly and outgoing in the good way. I would more than recommend going here for your next used or new vehicle. These men were great. We are so happy.

Every person I encountered at this dealership went above and beyond my expectations. I went in ready to give up on finding a car. I was greeted promptly and respectfully. They listened to what I needed and wanted. They weren’t just trying to get me in and out the door. I highly recommend going here if you are in the market for a vehicle. Had my recall in my hood fixed here and a couple days later went to get an oil change somewhere else and I couldnt get the hood open. I took my car back to Nissan and they fixed it and gave me a free oil change since I couldnt get my oil changed when I tried!! Great place!!!!!!! Very happy with them!

Nissan of Lafayette is an awesome dealership to do business with. The process was seamless and the communication was thorough and honest. Tim did an amazing job explaining the numbers side of things Jamain did an outstanding walk around and presentation of the car. The whole car buying process was seamless, from the test-drive, to the porter delivering the car, and the detail job. 10/10 I would recommend doing business with this dealership, they are awesome!!!! I scheduled an oil change and tire rotation and a few days before my appointment my rear lift gate stopped working. I asked them to check out that situation while I was there and they ordered the parts for me under warranty. Got a voicemail the next day and they had my parts. I’m already rescheduled for my next service to repair my door module.So far I’m really satisfied with the service I’ve received and will continue to bring my vehicle here.

I’m leaving one star because I couldn’t proceed with my review with choosing to leave none.Terrible customer service from the service department.Communication isn’t important to them. Phone calls aren’t returned and then they lie and say they “tried”.Inconsistent stories regarding the same situation from multiple service members. (Adam & Ashlee)Management (Dave Barter) was the worst! Talked to me with such disrespect and because he was being questioned he said, “You know you can come pick up your vehicle and not have it serviced here”.Read other Google reviews. Employees leave them. Dave Barter left one for the service writer, Ashlee.

Kenny and Jose were very helpful and professional with helping me with my new lease. I have been to other dealerships and after I got my first Nissan in 2019 with them, the service i have gotten since can not be matched. I just moved up to a 2021 Nissan Sentra and they were able get my payments lowered from my last lease with them. They are very helpful and care about the buyers needs and wants. I would recommend Nissan of Lafayette to anyone who wants a great car and professional service.

I rarely take the time to write reviews about things, but I just couldnt pass up this opportunity with how graciously this dealership has treated me. For context, Im a college student driving a sportscar, so the assumptions random people make about me are, at times, not very nice; this is not at all the case for DeFOUW. Since I came in for my first servicing, the technicians and managers along with the rest of the employees have been so incredibly kind to me. Im treated with respect; something that I cant say has been true when Ive visited other dealers when confronted with car issues. It genuinely makes me happy to go to this dealership. Moreover, despite my cynicism toward repair shops and dealership service area for their price gauging, I completely trust the diagnosis I receive from DeFOUW. Ive been able to retain my worn parts when I asked, and I have even gotten the opportunity to speak directly with the technician that performed work on my car. These people went absolutely above and beyond my expectations. They undoubtedly have my business because these people actually care about me; Im not just another sales number for them. I cant even begin to describe how rare that is in an age of soulless corporations.

They do not operate on commission so they were people just trying to help me find the car that was best for me instead of motivated by making a sale. They also made a detailed video of the car that interested me.It was the best car buying experience I have ever had. I would drive the 55 miles again to work with them when my husband decides he is ready for a new car.They also are going to deliver my car to me.

This was the worst experience Ive had with a car dealership in 40+ years of owning cars. We brought our 2011 Nissan Pathfinder in with a serious and dangerous braking problem that we described very carefully to the service writer so the mechanic would look for the cause of the problem and not waste time replacing unnecessary parts and raking up excessive bills. (Im a mechanic and a former service manager). The car was at the dealership for 3 weeks and during that time we were told it was fixed twice and had been test driven each time and in only 10 minutes of leaving the dealership each time we had the life threatening brake problem occur again on the highway at 70MPH! We were also told that brake temperatures were normal up to 300 degrees even when driving on the highway with the brakes not being used.Over the time the vehicle was in for repair I left at least 5 messages for the service manager to call me and I never got a return call. In addition when you call the dealership in Lafayette your calls are answered in Columbus Indiana at another dealership so they dont know whats going on and you rarely get though to a person in Lafayette until they call you back. The service writer was friendly but there was a problem getting important information to the mechanic.Finally after they replaced hundreds of dollars in parts and charged hundreds of dollars in diagnostic fees for things that werent broken they looked at the part I had identified in the very beginning that was suspected as causing the problem and when replaced the vehicle was then fixed. But it took 3 weeks and much stress to get it done.In addition we couldnt believe that the vehicle was not cleaned when we came to pick it up each time. The first 2 times the wheels which were covered in brake dust and werent even cleaned and then after 3 weeks of being at the dealership when we came to pick up the vehicle it wasnt even washed.So based on our experience we would not recommend Nissan of Lafayette for service work.

Purchased 2014 Subaru Impreza sedan from Nissan of Lafayette.In my conversations with the salesman I told him that I was looking for a smoke free vehicle as I have respiratory problems. Wanted a mechanically sound and serviced vehicle and one that I did not have to spend extra for repairs. I was assured that all these things were good on this vehicle.This car was delivered to me. The car was completely saturated with cigarette smoke, oil was not changed, rear brakes and rotors needed replaced. Car was not clean or detailed and delivered with only one key. Replacement key would cost $500.After contacting the dealer about my concerns the dealership contends that they did what they said they would do and they represented themselves factly, without warranty.Please beware of buying vehicles online and from this place so that you do not get burned as I did. I clearly was misled by the dealershipDo not purchase from a dealership that you do not know, ask for all paperwork upfront and a written warranty. Put everything in writing. I would not recommend anyone to purchase a car online, sight unseen and based only on what the salesman tell you without you even seeing or driving the car. This new era of car shopping is completely unreliable and allows for dealerships to take advantage of people.I clearly do not recommend Nissan of Lafayette for any reason, please avoid doing business with them.

Car wouldn’t start and had to get it dropped off. They ran tests to make sure it was just my battery and nothing else. Got my car back by the end of the day. The guys at the shop are always friendly to me when I’m there. They never try to sell me anything that my car doesn’t need like some of the other shops do as I’m a female and other places usually try to take advantage of that. So I will always recommend Nissan.

However, they lied and said that it had no warranty while it was still under the manufacturers warranty and then proceeded to sell us a fully refundable warranty which they now refuse to refund. We have contacted them 7 times and been ignored every time. I will be filing a complaint with the better business bureau.

I have never met a young man with more of a heart and knack for just it...(meaning everything you need to succeed and bring joy to this dreadful society.) My experience at Nissan of Lafayette was one of the worst experiences I have ever had as a customer. If you dont like long reads I will write the main idea here and go into detail below. In mid February my wife and I went into Nissan to look at a used car we saw on the website and we scheduled an appointment to see the car. When I arrived, I was told that the car had already been sold just before I got there, but they could bring a different one from the store in Columbus, IN. To see the car we would have to put down a $500 deposit that would be fully refundable if we didnt want the car. We paid the $500 and decided not to buy that car 2 days later and let them know that we were not interested and would like to have our money back. They told us that wouldnt be a problem. A month and a half later after much time and energy spent we just got the $500 back today. My conclusion is that it would be unwise for anyone to go into this store and put money down on a car because it will likely be hard to get back. I would encourage anyone to avoid doing business here.Now for the more detailed version. When my wife and I expressed interest in the used car we were helped by a salesman and an employee from the finance department. The employee from the finance department who would oversee our $500 payment and refund was brand new. It was his first day on the job, so some of the problem we experienced could simply have been a result of inexperience or unfamiliarity with the store here in Lafayette. However, this individual and the salesman said that the money would be back within 2-3 business days. After calling multiple times and being told 2-3 business days 2 weeks passed with no refund. I talked to the employee from the finance department who had originally helped me in the store. He said that he would get right on it and would get the money back to me and would give me a call back once he had figured out what was going on. He never called back. Several days later I called him and inquired again, he said he still didnt know what was going on and that he would get right back to me. He still never called me back. Eventually I was told that too much time had passed for the money to be refunded to our card, so they would have a check sent to our home address within 5 business days. 6 business days passed and still no check. So, I called this same finance employee and he said that he would have their guy from Columbus Indiana bring the check to the store in 2 days so that I could pick it up in person. When I went to pick up the check, there was still no check. At this point I talked to this same employee in the finance department and his superior. They explained to me that they would do their best to get the check to me, but it couldnt come from Lafayette it had to come from Columbus Indiana. They couldnt approve the check themselves it needed to be done by the owner of the branch who also owns the branch in Columbus. He spends his time between the two branches and wasnt there that day. A few days later they informed me that the finance team in Columbus approved that the money would go back to my card, which I wish they had done in the first place! After that, we finally got our money back.All in all, the finance team always answered my calls and didnt avoid me, for which I was grateful. However, it seems to me that the employees were very frustrated at the way the owner does things and how he needs to approve everything personally. It seems like the business could work more smoothly if the owner did things differently. I dont believe this was a result of an attempt to steal money, but lack of communication and poor organization. I believe a lack of concern for customers was also a problem. I would highly advise everyone to avoid doing business here until the entire infrastructure of the store changes. In my opinion, it would be dangerous in this economically uncertain time for people to risk their money being misplaced by doing any kind of business here. I would recommend staying far away from Nissan of Lafayette.

His presentation and demeanor when showing us the car was unlike any other car salesman I’ve encountered. We also dealt with Jamain, who was also very professional, always checking on us, making sure we were good, offered us water, etc., and handled the paperwork very well. I was able to get an appointment within the same week I called. Unfortunately they didn’t have any coupons but Brian let me use a $5 discount. I’ve always had Ford vehicles in the past and they always sent $39.99 coupons for my oil change and tire rotation. I wish Nissan would adopt this, it makes it affordable and encourages you to keep up your maintenance.

I fortunately had a paper and later contacted my insurance who said at no time was that to have happened not sure whose idea it was, she was going to contact them, to see what their issue was . This has been the most frustrating and maddening customer service experience I’ve ever had, and yet it still is dragging on. I had gone in for a vehicle, it ended up not being the one to work out for my needs. The manager and finance manager did everything they could to make it right. After a week of figuring things out with the ups and downs. We were set for a vehicle, and the next day we hit another road block. Tony the manager did everything he could to make it right and we appreciate what he did, they were able to get me a brand new Nissan rouge. I would say my experience started in a not so good direction but come the end of that experience i would give all of those whom work with us a 5 star review. Terrible service. I had my truck here for approximately 2.5 months....and they never resolved the issue. In fact, they never test drove my vehicle to see if they fixed my trucks problems. On top of that, when my truck was “completed”, they never notified me it was ready to be picked up. Super sketchy and never answer there phones or give call backs. Don’t go here. We stopped in last Saturday during their sale after passing by and seeing a vehicle we liked. We were greeted by Austin who listened to what we were looking for and was interested in helping. Austin took our information and stayed in contact through the week while never being pushy. Because of our work schedules, Austin came in on a day off and stayed late to make us happy on a deal. Even when I thought we were not going to be able to agree, Austin and the finance professional, Keyton, looked through inventory to find something that would make up happy. During the whole night we never felt pressured and we are very impressed with their work ethic and willingness to stay late and find us a good deal. Update: My issue has been taken care of by Paul (the General Sales Manager). Paul did work hard to remedy the issue once I posted this review, and I thank him for that. I wish that the issue had been resolved by the other (3) other members of his staff that I brought it up to in the weeks leading up to Paul taking over, though. I feel that it should never have had to come to me posting a negative review to resolve an issue that was part of the purchase contract that I had signed with the company. I hope that future customers are treated with greater attention and respect than I was afforded.Regardless of my experience with the dealership as a whole, Tim, Ethan, and Paul were great to work with, and were by far the bright spots within a disappointing experience.Original Review:I purchased a vehicle from this location, and the purchasing process was relatively easy and stress free. Once I left, though, is when the issues began.Part of the purchase agreement was that the dealership would cut a check pay off my previous lease (which was also through Nissan, so I am unsure as to why they could not directly make the payment to Nissan Financial, but I digress). 4 weeks later, I still have not received the check for payoff. I have contacted the dealership (3) separate times, and was told each time that they would look into where my check is and that they would get back to me. Each time I have heard nothing back from them. It is now past the due date of the payoff with Nissan Financial, and the dealership has done absolutely nothing to assist me with getting the payoff check. Additionally, the paperwork to register the vehicle with vehicle the BMV was incorrect when it was sent to me, and required me to make additional trips to the dealership to have it corrected.I am extremely disappointed with the way that I have been treated by this dealership. I truly do love the vehicle that I bought; however, the fact that I have been pushed off and treated so poorly after the dealership made the sell has convinced me to not do business with them ever again. I have purchased many cars in my 42 years, and this has by far been the absolute worst experience. I would strongly advise to go elsewhere to make your vehicle purchase, as the customer service after you have made your purchase is non-existent.

I called the service department several times because someone would pick up and then hang up without answering the call. Then when I spoke to someone from the service dept I asked for a multi-point inspection and oil change to be done on top of seeing what is missing from my exhaust and muffler heat shield that was causing a rattling noise. The service rep lady told me there was a $99.00 diagnostics fee associated with determining why the heat shield bracket/clamp/spacer was missing. i told her it happened during the winter where I drove over a snow bump. She wouldnt have that. I hug up on her. This is insulting to my intelligence. Im a certified aircraft mechanic and I know I dont need run a diagnostic (hook up a machine) to find out about a rattling noise. What the... !? How will testing the car systems will determine the cause of a rattling noise under the car?

This is my first time purchasing a NEW car, so the experience is quite different to me! The staff were polite and friendly. Austin did an amazing job describing bits of the process and showing me the specs of the vehicle. And if he didnt know how to answer one of my thousand questions, he was quick to admit it and seek out the answer for me. Buying a car is a long process and I dreaded coming in to do this, but they did a great job of turning car buying into a good experience. I would highly recommend buying your next vehicle here! Keyton was our salesman and was very polite and did a fantastic job at answering all of our questions about the car and allowing both my husband and me take the car for a test drive and telling us about the car as we were driving. He was laid back and acted like an actual person. All of the guys in the dealership were great. Ian helped us with the finance. The GM of the dealership came out and inspected our trade in and was very polite. I told them that when time comes for another CAR, I would be back, but the next vehicle would be another Denali! One of the best dealerships and people I have dealt with and I have bought A LOT of cars. :)

Austin was really nice! He helped me through the process and I appreciated when he let me know what step we were on. I would be happy to buy anything from him.I wish more of the staff wore masks- of the twelve or so people I saw working, maybe two had masks on indoors.I came in a previous night and one of the sales team pretended to be the sales manager, refused to wear a mask, and gave me someone else’s name. Not a good look for the evening team.

Went in one day and we set on a deal. I had to sleep on it and gather the money. I came in the next day and they raised the price a few hundred dollars and hardballed me. Left and drove the hour home after being insulted.They use difficult negotiation techniques and “aren’t commissioned” but all get paid bonuses together based on sales from what he told me... so in a way, they’re all commissioned together.Just a typical shady used car dealer. Dishonest and sly.

My experience was great but when I turned in my lease because i had got a different car, I felt like a bad vibe against me. Especially the day I went to pick up the garage door opener I had left in my car. I was in there at about 910-915 am on Thursday December 17 2020. Instead of asking how did you like your Nissan they just seemed mad that I am driving something else. To be honest I loved mine just wanted to drive something different. Nissan treated me well. I have not drove the same brand car back to back. You guys have a great car and great service besides what I referencedSo almost a month after turning in my car I get a call from nissans finance debt people saying I owed and then when I told them that I turned it in about a month ago they were not happy that this was not taken care of. Very sad that they can’t do paper work on time. Poor business makes me want to never go back.

Was in need of a good, used car and found one online at this location. Called to confirm it was available but forgot to set an appointment to view it. Brianna followed through a few days later. Was able to set the appt via text, I went the same day to view. Cody was patient, friendly, efficient and when he wasnt satisfied with his answer he found someone he felt could better explain things. Paul was transparent about financing. Keyton was patient, thorough, transparent, flexible, and honest. He sat with me and went over all the details of the sale, checked everything twice. The team went out of their way to meet my needs. I would buy here again.

I will likely leave a more detailed review later on about other issues we had with this dealership, but for the sake of public safety, I feel the need to leave immediate feedback after our experience at Nissan of Lafayette this evening. Only three or four of the employees inside of the building were wearing masks at any given time. There was absolutely no regard to social distancing and employees were working directly with customers maskless. The receptionist, who greeted people as they entered the building, did not have a mask on the entire evening until someone reminded him that he needed to wear one. As of this week, Tippecanoe County is now considered a Red county -- meaning that there is very high spread of COVID-19 within the community -- and it was obvious that Nissan of Lafayette had no interest in doing their part in keeping the community safe. I felt incredibly unsafe and it was apparent that this dealership had no regard for customer safety.

Very bad experience have been going here for over 7 years. They kept my car for 24 hrs for a job that was supposed to take 1-2 hours and all they could do was knock off $100 the price. Will most likely not be going back and also all the people I have recommended will not going back.

Had a lovely time getting my new jeep here this week. the staff was very knowledgeable. they were also upfront when it came to running the numbers. my dad and I toured 2 different places for a vehicle before going here and the customer service was unmatched if I’m being completely honest. Update: STILL DONT BUY HERE! Dealt with a Mr. Kennedy, very rude and does not care about complaints nor you as a customer. Seems the only good ones are DOM and maybe the mechanics. PLEASE go elsewhere. Ive made 4 consumer affairs complaints and prob nothing will get resolved, sad.Oldpost: DO NOT BUY NISSAN! At first I thought they seemed good. Now 2 years after leasing my vehicle nothing but issues. I was leasing to buy but not now. Nissan consumer affairs advised that Nissan should never install an aftermarket anything on a Nissan . Well I leased through them and I keep having issues and was told by another Nissan dealer that Nissan of Lafayette installed an aftermarket alarm on the truck and could be causing a drain. Nissans alarm cost about $700. Now Im stuck with an unreliable truck and not only put down a large sum of money while leasing. THINK TWICE before working with them at least the sales side.

Went there just to test drive a Titan for the first time. Ended up driving home with one. those guys worked magic getting me approved for a truck that I didnt even know they even made. I was looking for a king cab with a 6.5 bed. they showed me a crew cab with a 6.5 bed. for less money then a base model LT Silverado 1500. Was able to get more truck for less.
